Pretoria, South Africa – 14 April 2025 – Jaguar TCS Racing’s journey through the Miami E-Prix concluded without any points, following a race marred by frustrating setbacks and unforeseen circumstances. Both Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans fought valiantly for positions, but a combination of safety car interruptions, accidents, and penalties derailed their chances of finishing in the points.

A Difficult Start, but Hope on the Horizon

The race kicked off with both Jaguar TCS Racing drivers starting from mid-grid positions – Nick Cassidy in P13 and Mitch Evans in P14. Both drivers avoided early trouble, skillfully navigating the Homestead-Miami Speedway and steadily making progress through the field. For a moment, it seemed as though the team might turn the tide in their favour, as both drivers entered into contention for valuable championship points.

However, the challenges began to mount in the mid-race stages.

Safety Car Shake-Up: Attack Mode Wasted for Cassidy

On lap 16, Cassidy made a calculated move, activating his four-minute Attack Mode. This allowed him to push his Jaguar I-TYPE 7 to a potent 350kW and take full advantage of all-wheel drive – a crucial strategy to improve his standing. Unfortunately, the timing of the safety car deployment dashed these efforts. The interruption erased his remaining Attack Mode advantage, leaving him with a severely compromised position.

Later, the tension mounted even further as the race took an unexpected turn.

Evans Involved in Unavoidable Incident

On lap 20, Mitch Evans was caught in an unavoidable collision between Maximilian Günther of DS Penske and Jake Hughes of Maserati, as the two cars tangled at the turn 10/11 chicane. With nowhere to go, Evans was forced into the melee, his race effectively ended. The incident resulted in yet another safety car, which was followed by a red flag, halting the race for a significant period.

As the race resumed, both Jaguar drivers found themselves at a disadvantage. Nick Cassidy, who was in P8 when the race restarted with just four laps remaining, was hit with a five-second penalty for exceeding track limits. This penalty, combined with the timing of the restart, relegated him to P15 by the end of the race. Meanwhile, Mitch Evans, who had restarted from the back of the grid, crossed the line in P16.

Jaguar TCS Racing’s Standings After Miami

Despite the disappointing result in Miami, Mitch Evans remains in P10 in the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship standings, while teammate Nick Cassidy sits in P18. After five rounds, Jaguar TCS Racing holds P8 in the Teams’ World Championship with 35 points and occupies P5 in the Manufacturers’ standings.

James Barclay, Team Principal of Jaguar TCS Racing, reflected on the team’s difficult race:

“For a combination of factors, some in and some out of our control, we didn’t get the result we were capable of today. Ultimately the safety car and accident, which resulted in the red flag, compromised our race with both cars. It can happen but it makes it no less frustrating when it impacts both drivers. We weren’t the only ones in the pit lane that will be feeling this way after a lot of hard work. There were some positive signs of progress though and some key learnings which we will take away and turn into performance for the rest of the season. Eyes forward and we now look ahead to Monaco for a race we all love and what will be an historic weekend, as we take to the track for not one, but two days of racing through the streets of the iconic principality.”

Looking Ahead: Monaco Awaits

For Mitch Evans, the race in Miami was a chance lost but not one without lessons learned. He said, “Today had potential and it was exciting to be racing in Miami, but unfortunately, I got caught up in an incident with Jake and Max, so it was a disappointing race for me. It’s time to look ahead to Monaco, my home race. I won there last year, but there is still more work to do to get us to where we want to be.”

Nick Cassidy, equally disappointed, reflected on the missed opportunities. “A hugely frustrating race today with safety cars and the track limits penalty. The weekend started positively. The car felt good on Friday, and we were quick, but today we struggled to get the performance we know we need. We’ll review together, then we look to Monaco where we go again.”

The next round of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship takes place in Monaco, with a thrilling double-header scheduled for Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 May. This historic race through the streets of the iconic principality will offer Jaguar TCS Racing an opportunity to put their setbacks behind them and compete for the points they desperately need.

Solihull & Wolverhampton, UK – Thursday, 20 March 2025 – JLR is ramping up its commitment to electrification with the recruitment of 150 highly skilled maintenance technicians across its Solihull and Wolverhampton facilities. These pivotal roles will support the production of JLR’s next-generation electric vehicles (EVs) as the company drives forward its ambitious Reimagine strategy.

As part of this recruitment initiative, JLR is seeking 50 maintenance technicians for its Solihull plant. These specialists will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of cutting-edge automated manufacturing equipment used in the production of the highly anticipated Range Rover Electric, set to launch later this year.

The remaining 100 positions will be based at JLR’s Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre (EMPC) in Wolverhampton, a critical hub in the company’s UK industrial network.
Investing in People and Technology for a Sustainable Future

Nigel Blenkinsop, JLR Executive Director of Industrial Operations, emphasized the company’s focus on people and innovation: “Investing in people and the latest technology is the cornerstone of our Reimagine strategy.
In addition to its recruitment drive, JLR is actively upskilling its existing workforce. Through its Future Skills Programme, the company has already trained over 20,000 employees and partners in electrification and digital skills. This initiative is backed by an annual £3 billion investment, dedicated to modernizing JLR’s industrial footprint, vehicle programmes, and advancements in AI, automation, and digital technologies.

Transforming Manufacturing to Meet EV Demand

JLR’s significant investment extends beyond personnel, encompassing the radical transformation of its Solihull, Halewood, and Wolverhampton manufacturing facilities. These upgrades will enable the production of electric vehicles and their components, alongside internal combustion and hybrid models to ensure a seamless transition towards a fully electric future.

The Range Rover Electric, set to debut later this year, will be the first fully electric model produced in Solihull, with an astonishing 57,000 clients already on the waiting list. Following this launch, Solihull will also serve as the production site for the first of three reimagined modern luxury electric Jaguars, beginning with a 4-door GT.

JLR’s latest hiring spree underscores its unwavering commitment to electrification, innovation, and sustainability, solidifying its position at the forefront of the luxury EV market. With an eye on 2030, when pure electric versions of all its brands will be available, and a vision to achieve carbon net zero by 2039, JLR is making bold strides toward an electrified future.

Jenson Button, the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion and current FIA World Endurance Championship driver, is set to make a thrilling return to the Goodwood Revival this September. The British racing legend will race his own 1962 Jaguar E-Type in the prestigious Royal Automobile Club (RAC) TT Celebration, a highlight of the historic event taking place from Friday, 12 to Sunday, 14 September 2025.

The RAC TT Celebration, known for showcasing the fastest and most iconic grand touring cars of Goodwood’s golden era, is a race that resonates deeply with motorsport enthusiasts. It originally hosted the RAC TT from 1960 to 1964, and now, it continues to be a cornerstone of the Revival, attracting the best in historic motorsport. This year, Button will once again take to the grid in pursuit of victory, following his previous participation in 2022.

Button’s weapon of choice is a 1962 Jaguar E-Type, a car that has a rich history of its own. Formerly raced by BRDC life member Ed Nelson in the 1965-66 season at both the Nürburgring and Mugello, this particular model is the last of the famous Protheroe-prepared Jaguars. The CUT 8 ex-Protheroe has seen a storied past, racing through the early 2000s and last competing at the Revival’s RAC TT in 2013 under different ownership.

The E-Type has become synonymous with performance and elegance, and it holds a special place in Button’s own racing journey. In fact, the 2021 Goodwood Revival marked his debut in historic motorsport when he drove a 1962 Jaguar E-Type in the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy. With that debut under his belt, it seems fitting that Button will return to the wheel of an E-Type in pursuit of the coveted RAC TT Trophy at this year’s Revival.

Jenson Button, ever the enthusiast, expressed his excitement ahead of the event, saying: “I am delighted to be coming back to the Goodwood Revival in September, for the most enjoyable weekend of racing of the whole year. In fact, I love it so much, I have bought my own car to take part! I am very excited to be racing my ‘new’ Jaguar E-Type in the TT. I can’t wait.”

The Duke of Richmond CBE DL, a long-time supporter of the event, echoed Button’s enthusiasm: “The TT is a firm favourite amongst our competitors and spectators, so I’m sure everyone will share my excitement that Jenson has bought his very own Jaguar E-Type to compete in this year. I look forward to seeing him in action!”

The Goodwood Revival is always a spectacle, and this year promises even more excitement with the inclusion of Jenson Button’s participation. Fans can also look forward to other highlights, including the Alfa Romeo celebration, the VW Type 2 Split Screen track opening parade, and a race list featuring only sustainable fuels.

As the countdown to the Revival begins, early bird tickets are available at goodwood.com, offering motorsport fans a chance to secure their admission to this legendary event at a discounted rate. Don’t miss your opportunity to witness Jenson Button in action as he races his Jaguar E-Type, continuing his storied legacy in the world of motorsport at one of the most iconic events on the calendar.

Paris, France – 11 March 2025: In a dazzling fusion of haute couture and automotive artistry, acclaimed Irish actor Barry Keoghan made a striking entrance at Paris Fashion Week, arriving at The Peninsula Paris in the breathtaking Jaguar Type 00. The concept car, an audacious design vision from Jaguar, turned heads as it made its first European public appearance since its world premiere at Miami Art Week in December 2024.

With its dramatic, sculptural proportions and bold styling, the Jaguar Type 00 represents the pinnacle of the brand’s commitment to redefining modern luxury. The vehicle’s French Ultramarine exterior—a bespoke colour developed exclusively for Jaguar—pays homage to France’s deep-rooted artistic heritage. A colour historically associated with rarity, prestige, and originality since the Renaissance era, French Ultramarine embodies Jaguar’s mission to ‘Copy Nothing’—a philosophy that traces back to the brand’s founder, Sir William Lyons.

Jaguar’s materiality team meticulously prepared the Type 00 for its Parisian debut by collaborating with in-house paint specialists to develop a unique pigment with enhanced metallic content, resulting in a satin-like finish that accentuates the car’s sculptural form. The result is a fearless design statement, one that underscores Jaguar’s vision for the future of its luxury vehicles.

Beyond the runway, Jaguar’s transformation continues with the announcement of its new luxury brand store in the prestigious Golden Triangle of Paris’ 8th arrondissement. This prime location, at the heart of the city’s luxury fashion district, will serve as an exclusive hub for clients, offering personalised experiences that seamlessly integrate the worlds of art, design, and automotive innovation.

“Jaguar will come to life in a select number of these exclusive brand stores, located where clients live, work, and play,” said Rawdon Glover, Managing Director of Jaguar. “They allow us to build direct client relationships and offer unique and personalised experiences. These stores will embrace their local cultures, with the Paris location highlighting the city’s rich heritage in art and its status as the home of luxury fashion.”

The Paris brand store is part of a broader global strategy, with Jaguar curating a network of luxury retailers designed to complement its presence in key cultural and fashion capitals. As the marque continues to evolve, the Type 00 serves as a bold manifesto for the future of Jaguar—one that is unmistakable, unapologetic, and uncompromisingly original.

Pretoria, South Africa – 03 March 2025 – Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has announced the launch of the JLR Foundation, a pioneering charitable initiative designed to empower children and young people, catalyzing positive social and environmental change. With a firm commitment to driving equity and unlocking potential, the JLR Foundation reflects the luxury automotive manufacturer’s longstanding dedication to youth and education, and reinforces the broader objectives of its Reimagine strategy.

A Generous Commitment to Catalytic Change

At the heart of the Foundation’s mission lies JLR’s dedication to making a substantial, lasting impact on the lives of children and young people. Over the next year, the company has pledged up to £2.5 million in funding, which will grow as the Foundation expands. The goal is to provide grants to charitable organizations and NGOs that focus on initiatives aimed at developing young talent, bridging inequality gaps, and creating opportunities for disadvantaged communities.

The Foundation’s focus will be on enhancing the skills, knowledge, and abilities of youth, ensuring they have the right tools to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Whether through educational programs, skills workshops, or access to necessary resources, the JLR Foundation is determined to help young people reach their full potential, regardless of their background.

Guided by Experienced Leadership

The JLR Foundation will be officially launched later in 2025, initially in the UK, with plans for future global expansion. Under the leadership of newly appointed Director, Laura Brown—formerly CEO of PEAS, a charity dedicated to expanding educational access in Africa—the Foundation is set to make a significant and measurable difference. Laura’s leadership will be key in shaping the Foundation’s strategic direction, ensuring it delivers on its vision of equity and empowerment.

The Foundation’s Board of Trustees includes a distinguished group of leaders from both JLR and beyond. Among them are Andrea Debbane, JLR’s Chief Sustainability Officer; Chris Thorp, JLR’s Chief of Staff; Phoebe Leet, Global HR Director at JLR; and François Dossa, Head of Sustainability for Latin America at TCS. Their combined expertise in sustainability, philanthropy, and social responsibility will be instrumental in the Foundation’s continued success and growth.

A Legacy of Commitment to Youth and Education

JLR’s involvement in community and youth development is far from new. The company has a longstanding tradition of investing in education and youth initiatives, with a particular focus on supporting young people in underserved regions.

One standout example is the JLR Dream Fund, an ambitious project launched in China in 2014 in partnership with the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation. Over the past decade, JLR has invested nearly £12 million into the Dream Fund, which has positively impacted over 700,000 young people in some of China’s most disadvantaged areas. A key highlight of this initiative is the JLR Hope School, which was rebuilt following a devastating earthquake. Today, the Hope School continues to serve as a beacon of hope for local children, some of whom walk miles through mountainous terrain to reach it. The school not only provides essential education but has also fostered a vibrant community with over 70 graduates who have gone on to attend university.

JLR’s impact goes beyond infrastructure. In addition to rebuilding schools, the company has provided teacher resources, meals, and sleeping facilities, ensuring that the students’ educational journeys are supported in every way possible. This year, a new Hope School Library, designed by renowned architect Professor He Wei, will open its doors to the community.

Building a Global Network for STEM Education

JLR’s commitment to shaping the future doesn’t stop with school rebuilding efforts. The company is a staunch advocate of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education, and its STEM Ambassador Programme in the UK has reached over 100,000 students, with the support of hundreds of JLR employees. The programme’s mission is to ignite curiosity and inspire young people to pursue careers in STEM fields, particularly in the automotive industry. By the end of 2029, JLR aims to expand its ambassador base to 5,000, reaching 2,500 schools globally.

Further extending this focus on youth development, JLR is launching a socio-environmental educational programme in Brazil later this year. This initiative, aimed at rural communities near JLR’s Itatiaia plant, will immerse students aged 4 to 14 in science education, stimulating their interest in science and technology as potential career paths.

Creating Pathways for Future Careers

The JLR Foundation also seeks to create pathways for young people into JLR’s own workforce. Through initiatives like the Schools Partnerships Programme, JLR works directly with students to raise their aspirations and develop their future skills. This programme helps students envision careers in the automotive industry, opening their minds to the vast opportunities that exist. Every year, JLR reaches over 40,000 students in the UK and Ireland, with plans to scale the programme to reach 1 million students globally by the end of the decade.

A new global education programme launching in 2025 will build on this work, helping young people develop transferable skills that are essential for the future of work, preparing them for a world that is increasingly shaped by technology and sustainability.

Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators

JLR is also keen to nurture its youngest colleagues. Through its Young Professionals Network, the company is creating a platform for the next generation of leaders to participate, collaborate, and innovate. By providing this network, JLR is ensuring that young professionals have the opportunity to develop their potential and contribute to the company’s evolution.

A Vision for a Better Future

The launch of the JLR Foundation marks a significant step in JLR’s mission to make a lasting, positive impact on society. With a focus on empowering young people, removing barriers to opportunity, and fostering an environment where talent can thrive, the Foundation will help drive equity and create a sustainable future for all.

As JLR continues to grow and innovate, the JLR Foundation will be there every step of the way, ensuring that the next generation has the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to become tomorrow’s leaders, designers, engineers, and changemakers.

Pretoria, South Africa, 17 February 2025 – Under the dazzling floodlights of Jeddah, Jaguar TCS Racing’s Nick Cassidy delivered a sensational drive in Round 4 of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, climbing 12 places to secure a hard-fought fifth-place finish. The Kiwi’s performance marked his first points of the season in what proved to be a dramatic and competitive E-Prix. Meanwhile, teammate Mitch Evans saw a promising race cut short due to a brake-by-wire hardware failure while running inside the top eight.

Despite a difficult qualifying session that placed Cassidy and Evans in P17 and P15 respectively, both drivers showcased the impressive efficiency and race pace of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7. The pair executed strategic Attack Mode activations to carve through the field, demonstrating their ability to challenge for the front-running positions.

Cassidy’s calculated use of Attack Mode saw him climb into the top three by lap 16. Though he temporarily dropped to seventh as competitors utilized their final Attack Mode boosts, his resilience and Jaguar’s energy efficiency enabled him to snatch fifth place from Maserati MSG Racing’s Stoffel Vandoorne on the final lap, securing 10 valuable points for the team.

For Evans, the race was shaping up to be equally impressive. Having progressed into the top eight with an energy advantage over his rivals and a final Attack Mode activation still to deploy, the New Zealander was poised for a potential top-six finish or even a podium. However, a brake-by-wire failure—an issue with the standardized system used across the grid—forced him to retire, a frustrating end to what had been a strong race.

Following the Jeddah E-Prix double-header, Evans sits seventh in the championship standings, while Cassidy’s stellar recovery drive has moved him up to 14th. Jaguar TCS Racing currently occupies seventh place in the Teams’ Championship, with the British marque holding fourth in the Manufacturers’ standings after four rounds.

James Barclay, Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal: “It’s clear that, at times, this has been a challenging weekend for us in terms of one-lap performance. However, how we finished the race mattered most. Both cars demonstrated incredible efficiency and race pace, showcasing our potential.

Nick’s fifth-place finish, considering the difficulties we faced, feels like a victory. I truly feel for Mitch and his crew—he had the pace, the energy advantage, and was in a strong position for a top-six finish or better. We’ll now focus on refining our qualifying performance ahead of Miami. With the right adjustments, I believe we can position ourselves as frontrunners for the rest of the season.”

Nick Cassidy, Jaguar TCS Racing Driver, #37: “Our season starts here. We haven’t been where we wanted to be in recent races, but the team did an amazing job to put us back in the fight. It feels great to deliver a strong race, and we executed our strategy brilliantly with what we had available. Our strategy team is the best in the pit lane, and I have complete confidence in them. Now, we have to put in the work before Miami, but I know this team will keep pushing.”

Mitch Evans, Jaguar TCS Racing Driver, #9: “This weekend, we had so much potential, and the race was looking really strong. I had an energy advantage over those around me and an Attack Mode left to deploy when the brake-by-wire issue ended my race. It’s frustrating, but we have a gap before Miami, and I know the team will work hard to address our weaknesses.”

With the next round of the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship set for Homestead, Miami on Saturday, 12 April, Jaguar TCS Racing will use the break to refine their performance and continue their pursuit of podium finishes in the all-electric racing series.

Pretoria, South Africa – 11 February 2025 – Jaguar TCS Racing is poised for an electrifying performance as the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship arrives in Saudi Arabia for Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2024/25 season. Sitting third in the Teams’ Championship and Manufacturers’ Championship standings, the team is determined to capitalise on the opportunities presented by the Jeddah E-Prix double-header.

Mitch Evans, currently joint-second in the Drivers’ Championship, will be looking to build on his strong form, while teammate Nick Cassidy, despite promising performances in the opening rounds, aims to climb the leaderboard from P18. The upcoming weekend also marks a historic moment for Formula E, as the all-electric series debuts at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit – a fast and flowing 3km track set against the stunning Red Sea coastline.

A Return to Saudi Arabian Success?

Jaguar TCS Racing has a proven track record in Saudi Arabia, having secured two victories in the region, including Cassidy’s debut win for the team in Diriyah last season. As the championship shifts to Jeddah, the team is eager to maintain its competitive edge in a double-header that could prove crucial in the title race.

Reflecting on the season so far, Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal James Barclay remains optimistic:
“There has been plenty to reflect and work on since the last round in Mexico City. The whole team is hugely motivated for a strong performance in Jeddah, and racing at this new Formula E track is an exciting prospect for us. Mitch and Nick have driven really well so far this season and will be focused on optimising the performance of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7. A double-header means there are plenty of opportunities to score big points, while the debut of Pit Boost adds another variable into the mix.”

The Impact of Pit Boost – A New Strategic Element

Formula E will introduce Pit Boost for the first time in Jeddah, adding a fresh layer of strategy to the race. Drivers will be required to complete a mandatory 30-second, 600kW charge in the pitlane, providing them with a 10% energy boost for the remainder of the race. This rule change marks the return of pitstops to Formula E, creating a dynamic tactical challenge that could be decisive in determining the race outcome.

With his sights set on a strong result, Mitch Evans is eager to hit the track:
“Racing at any new venue always presents new challenges to overcome, but I am looking forward to getting out on track in Jeddah. It was an unfortunate ending for us in Mexico, but we’ve regrouped as a team since then, and the aim is to deliver some strong performances across both races.”

Meanwhile, Nick Cassidy is keen to replicate past success in Saudi Arabia:
“We have put in a lot of hard work since Mexico and hopefully we can translate that into some strong results in Jeddah. I have happy memories of racing in Saudi Arabia for Jaguar TCS Racing, including taking my first win with the team, so it would be great to continue that.”

Jamie Chadwick to Feature in Rookie Free Practice

Adding to the excitement of the weekend, rising motorsport star Jamie Chadwick will take to the track for the Rookie Free Practice session on Thursday, 13 February. The three-time W Series champion and current Indy NXT competitor will gain valuable seat time in the Jaguar I-TYPE 7, showcasing her potential at the highest level of electric racing.

Looking Ahead – Key Standings Before Jeddah

Teams’ Championship: Jaguar TCS Racing – P3 (25 points)

Drivers’ Championship: Mitch Evans – P2 (25 points) | Nick Cassidy – P18 (0 points)

Manufacturers’ Championship: Jaguar – P3 (41 points)

Season 10 Saudi Arabia Results (Diriyah E-Prix): Evans – P5 & P10 | Cassidy – P3 & P1

With an action-packed weekend ahead, Jaguar TCS Racing is ready to challenge for top honours in Jeddah. The first race of the Jeddah E-Prix gets underway on Saturday, 15 February, at 17:05 AST (GMT+3).

Pretoria, South Africa, 3 February 2025: The world of motorsport is about to experience a thrilling new chapter, as British entrepreneur Brooklyn Peltz Beckham teams up with the reigning World Champions of Formula E, Jaguar TCS Racing, for the unprecedented Formula E Evo Sessions. This groundbreaking event, set to take place on 5 and 6 March 2025 at the Miami International Autodrome, offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse into the high-octane world of elite electric racing.

Formula E’s Evo Sessions is a social media-first initiative that will bring some of the most influential personalities from across the globe to the track to experience the demanding world of a top-level racing driver. As part of this thrilling venture, Brooklyn will not only get up close to one of the most technologically advanced race cars in the world but will also take the wheel of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 – a race-winning machine that can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a jaw-dropping 1.82 seconds.

Brooklyn’s journey begins with intensive coaching from Jaguar TCS Racing’s very own Mitch Evans, one of the team’s star drivers and a multiple race winner. Evans will guide the 26-year-old through a rigorous training programme, which includes simulator sessions, physical conditioning, driver coaching, and detailed engineering briefings to prepare him for the demanding performance expectations of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7.

“I’ve loved motorsport all my life, so when the opportunity came to be a part of Evo Sessions with Formula E and Jaguar, I jumped at the chance,” Brooklyn said. “I love it as a sport, but it’s an incredible opportunity to actually get behind the wheel and experience what it takes to compete at the top level of motorsport. The performance of the cars is insane, so I’m pleased I’ll be learning from the current Teams’ World Champions, Jaguar, and from multiple race-winner Mitch Evans in how to get the most out of the I-TYPE 7. It’s an incredibly exciting opportunity and one I’m looking forward to sharing.”

The Evo Sessions event is much more than a high-speed test of skill. It is a testament to the ever-evolving world of Formula E, where technology, innovation, and sustainability go hand-in-hand. Formula E has long been at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of what is possible in motorsport, and the Evo Sessions further showcase the sport’s commitment to providing unique, interactive experiences for both fans and participants.

Grosse Pointe, Michigan (January 27, 2025) – Broad Arrow Auctions, a Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY) company, is thrilled to announce the upcoming sale of one of the most significant racing cars in history: the 1954 Jaguar D-Type Works Competition Car, chassis no. XKD 403, famously known as ‘OKV 2.’ This extraordinary machine will headline the 2025 Amelia Auction, part of The Amelia (Concours d’Elegance) event, set to take place on March 7-8, 2025, at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. What sets this D-Type apart is not just its exceptional provenance but the fact that it will be offered without reserve, with an estimated value ranging from $6.5 million to $8.5 million.

The Jaguar D-Type, revered as one of the most influential racing cars of all time, was the epitome of engineering innovation. Born from Jaguar’s relentless pursuit of victory at Le Mans, the D-Type introduced revolutionary aircraft-inspired design principles and a strikingly aerodynamic form that enabled it to set new top-speed records year after year. The D-Type would go on to secure Jaguar’s famous hat-trick of Le Mans victories, cementing its place in motorsport history. Among this illustrious line, the D-Type offered by Broad Arrow Auctions stands as one of the most historically significant, with ‘OKV 2’ playing a central role in Jaguar’s campaigns.

A Remarkable Racing Legacy

The journey of ‘OKV 2’ begins in 1954 when it was one of the first three D-Types constructed for Jaguar’s full-scale assault on the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car was designated as the team lead, with none other than the legendary Stirling Moss at the wheel, alongside co-driver Peter Walker. During practice, ‘OKV 2’ set a blistering top speed of 172.97 miles per hour on the Mulsanne straight, showcasing the car’s immense potential. Though mechanical issues led to a retirement during the race, the car’s early performance firmly established its place as a competitor of the highest order.

“Today, ‘OKV 2’ straddles the line between race and road car perhaps better than any other,” says Jakob Greisen, Senior Car Specialist at Broad Arrow Auctions. “It was built as the exemplar D-Type to lead the Works team, driven by the most revered drivers, and has remained a versatile competitor in historic races and rallies. With an extensive record of period racing, archival images, and Le Mans testing documentation, this car is an essential piece of motorsport history.”

Following the 1954 season, ‘OKV 2’ continued its racing career under the stewardship of Jaguar PR man Bob Berry, who piloted the car to several notable finishes. After a shunt at Dundrod in 1955, the car was meticulously rebuilt with several updated components, including a new front bonnet and larger roll bars, to meet the demands of its evolving racing career. Berry’s continued success with ‘OKV 2’ throughout the mid-1950s saw the car race in prestigious events like Goodwood and Aintree, solidifying its reputation as a championship contender.

From Racing Icon to Collector’s Treasure

The D-Type’s story didn’t end with its competition years. By the late 1950s, ‘OKV 2’ passed into the hands of new owners and underwent multiple restorations, including a comprehensive effort by Lynx Engineering in the 1970s to return the car to its former glory. In 1999, the car came under the care of Terry Larson, one of the foremost experts on the D-Type, who meticulously documented the car and participated in historic events such as the Goodwood Revival and the California Mille. Under Larson’s ownership, the car was reunited with legendary Jaguar Test Driver Norman Dewis for two memorable Monterey Historic Races in 2001, marking a poignant reunion of man and machine after 45 years.

In the years that followed, ‘OKV 2’ continued to turn heads in the historic racing scene, including a return to Le Mans for the 2012 Le Mans Classic. Its remarkable racing history and provenance have made it one of the most desirable and celebrated examples of the D-Type in existence today.

An Auction for the Ages

Offered for sale after 15 years of dedicated ownership, ‘OKV 2’ will undoubtedly attract the attention of serious collectors and motorsport enthusiasts when it crosses the auction block at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island this March. The D-Type will join an exceptional lineup of cars, including a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider Competizione, a 1960 Chevrolet Corvette 283/290 “Fuelie” Camoradi USA Factory Race Car, a 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale, and a 1959 AC Ace Bristol, among others.

This auction presents an extraordinary opportunity to acquire a piece of racing history that not only symbolizes the pinnacle of Jaguar’s engineering legacy but also represents an era of motorsport that continues to inspire car enthusiasts around the world.

Pretoria, South Africa, 08 January 2025 – Jaguar TCS Racing has kicked off the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship with a resounding victory, as Mitch Evans triumphed in the opening round in Brazil. Starting from the back of the grid, Evans showcased his resilience, clinching a stunning victory that marked a winning debut for the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 in the highly anticipated GEN3 Evo era. This strong start to the season has not only placed Mitch in the lead of the Drivers’ standings but has also positioned Jaguar TCS Racing second in the Teams’ World Championship, with a commanding lead in the Manufacturers’ World Championship.

Looking Ahead: The 2025 Mexico City E-Prix
With the São Paulo E-Prix now in the rearview mirror, Jaguar TCS Racing turns its focus to the upcoming 2025 Mexico City E-Prix at the iconic Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit. At 2.63 kilometers long, the circuit presents unique challenges for drivers, and Jaguar TCS Racing has enjoyed a strong history at this venue. Last season, Nick Cassidy made an impressive debut with the team, finishing third and claiming the fastest lap, while Mitch Evans secured P5. The team’s record in Mexico is also bolstered by Mitch’s victory in 2020, making it a track where Jaguar TCS Racing has consistently delivered strong performances.

This year’s Mexico City E-Prix will take place at 14:05 ST (GMT -6 hours) on Saturday, 11 January 2025. Both Evans and Cassidy are eager to build on their previous successes and continue their pursuit of championship glory.

Team Principal’s Vision: A Winning Strategy for Mexico
James Barclay, Team Principal of Jaguar TCS Racing, shared his thoughts on the team’s performance so far and their strategy heading into Mexico:
“To come away from São Paulo leading two out of three championships was a great boost for the team. We know there is still a lot more to come, and we are working flat out to get the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 into the right window out on track. There is a lot of performance still to be unlocked, and we are working hard to try and be in a position to have another strong weekend in Mexico City,” said Barclay.

Barclay continued, “Mitch and Nick showed their class in the race in Brazil, and we are eager to come away from Mexico with a strong haul of points from both our drivers if we can. We enjoyed podium success last time out in Mexico City and would love to do so again this weekend. We never rest on our laurels, though, and have some areas to work on. As always, the competition is going to be very close, and we look forward to the challenge.”

Mitch Evans: Building on Momentum
For Mitch Evans, starting the season with a victory after a dramatic climb from the back of the grid has been a major boost, but he remains focused on the task ahead. “To start the season with a win – especially given the circumstances from last on the grid – was a special feeling. There’s no time to look back, though, and I am expecting it to be another closely fought race in Mexico. We will be working hard to achieve another strong result,” Evans remarked.

Nick Cassidy: Eager for Redemption
Although Nick Cassidy was unable to score points in São Paulo, the Kiwi driver remains confident in the pace of the Jaguar I-TYPE 7. “Although the São Paulo race did not end how we wanted it to, I know we have a fast race car. I am hopeful that we can find more performance in the Jaguar I-TYPE 7 and will be doing all I can to be on the podium in Mexico City,” Cassidy said.

Pretoria, South Africa – 18 December 2024: As the festive season draws near, many of us are gearing up for well-deserved rest, but spare a thought for Rudy the Robot, an unsung hero working tirelessly for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) during the Christmas period. Operating in the freezing conditions of a -40°C climate, Rudy is set to open and close vehicle doors an impressive 14,000 times over the next few weeks. His mission? To simulate a lifetime of use and ensure JLR vehicles meet the impeccable quality and durability standards expected from the brand.

Based at JLR’s Gaydon Engineering Centre, Rudy is housed in a sophisticated £2.1 million testing chamber designed to simulate some of the most extreme environmental conditions imaginable. Over the course of 12 weeks, Rudy will complete 84,000 door shuts—an exercise that mirrors the demands a vehicle’s door would face over its entire lifespan. When you consider that this testing cycle equates to a human lifting weights three times a week for more than 17 years, it’s clear that Rudy is undertaking a Herculean task.

The real challenge comes with the temperature extremes Rudy faces. Over the festive period, he will be subjected to a harsh cold of -40°C, akin to the chilling temperatures of the Arctic, and a sweltering heat of 82°C, similar to those found in Death Valley, California. It’s in these conditions that Rudy rigorously tests every aspect of a vehicle door, from the mechanics of the hinges to the performance of the locking systems. The door’s alignment, vibrations, and sound quality during closure are all scrutinised by Rudy’s analytical sensors.

Despite working in what can only be described as a North Pole-esque environment, Rudy maintains his focus, engaging with the vehicle through auditory feedback to ensure the functionality of critical door features. He even chats to the car to ensure that flush deployable door handles work seamlessly, even in the most demanding temperatures. It’s this combination of high-tech precision and a human touch that makes Rudy’s role essential to the quality assurance process.

<button

“Quality across the whole client ownership experience is a top priority at JLR,” says Thomas Mueller, JLR’s Executive Director of Product Engineering. “Rudy is just one of our vital robots, representing our rigorous vehicle component testing programme, which evaluates parts in extreme conditions to simulate a lifetime of usage. This ensures their durability and meets the expectations our clients have for a modern luxury brand.”

JLR’s commitment to excellence is further reflected in the words of Thomas Love, the Component & System Test Manager. “The door is the first attribute of a vehicle that a client engages with, so it’s vital that this experience reflects our modern luxury standards. From the way the door handle deploys in cold and hot temperatures to the sound of the door closing, every element must remain refined and dependable throughout the vehicle’s lifetime.”

This meticulous testing is part of JLR’s £18bn Reimagine strategy, an ongoing investment in the future of the company. At the Gaydon facility, Rudy is not alone in testing vehicle components. The centre houses an impressive range of virtual and physical testing environments, including vehicle simulators, cold weather climate chambers, and semi-anechoic chambers. The facility is also home to 32 miles of tarmacked test track, off-roading courses, speed bumps, and manhole covers, all designed to simulate real-world conditions that every JLR vehicle will face.

Rudy’s work is just one example of JLR’s commitment to delivering vehicles that are not only luxurious but also durable, reliable, and ready for any challenge. So, while we celebrate the holiday season, Rudy the Robot will continue his relentless work to ensure that the next generation of Range Rover, Defender, Discovery, and Jaguar models stand the test of time. And, after 84,000 door shuts, Rudy will have earned his own well-deserved rest.
