As we look forward to Fall 2024, one thing is certain: the MINI JCW lineup is poised to set new benchmarks in the world of performance motoring.

OxTrail 2024 will feature a series of uniquely designed Ox sculptures placed throughout Oxfordshire. Each sculpture has been individually crafted by either an artist or a local school. Post-design, the expert associates at MINI Plant Oxford meticulously hand-sprayed the sculptures with a glossy, protective clear coat, ensuring a flawless finish and long-lasting durability.

From July 6th to August 29th, the OxTrail sculptures will be displayed around Oxfordshire, inviting visitors to enjoy the artistic endeavor. Following the display period, each sculpture will be auctioned off, with all proceeds supporting the invaluable services provided by Sobell House Hospice.

Sobell House Hospice specializes in palliative care for individuals facing life-threatening illnesses, death, and bereavement, caring for approximately 3,000 people annually. Their mission is to enhance the lives of patients and their families during challenging times.

Dr. Markus Grüneisl, Plant Director of Plants Oxford and Swindon, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We’re thrilled to have lent our paint shop services to the OxTrail. This brilliant initiative helps raise vital funds for Sobell House Hospice, and it’s been great to see the MINI team spirit in full flow as our associates have supported the project.”

Going above and beyond, the associates at MINI Plant Oxford have created their own distinctive Ox sculpture for the trail. They selected Ocean Wave Green as the base color, with the hooves, tail, and horns painted in iconic MINI colors, including Sunnyside Yellow and British Racing Green.

Michael Lambe, Paint Shop Process Engineer responsible for clear coating the Oxen, explained, “The lacquering process is quite unique. Compared to the MINI, with its flowing lines and classic look, the oxen are a whole different animal! Using our ‘ox-pertise,’ we’ve been able to apply a coat that really makes their artistic design shine.”

Artists from around the county have contributed their talents to the OxTrail, including Oxfordshire-based children’s illustrator Korky Paul, known for the Winnie the Witch books, and local artist and rapper Rawz, who worked on the production line at Plant Oxford in 2006.

Beth Marsh, Director of Fundraising at Sobell House Hospice, remarked, “The partnership we have developed between Sobell House Hospice and MINI Plant Oxford is one that strengthens our connections to the wider Oxford community. We’re extremely excited to unveil OxTrail 2024, with this initiative enabling us to ultimately reach more patients.”

The 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking place from July 11th to 14th, will host a groundbreaking moment for MINI as it unveils the first electric John Cooper Works E Prototype. This dynamic debut will see the electric powerhouse tackle the iconic Goodwood hillclimb, marking a significant milestone in MINI’s journey towards sustainable mobility.

The John Cooper Works E Prototype, equipped with an advanced electric powertrain, represents MINI’s dedication to blending innovation with its storied heritage. A unique attraction at this year’s festival is the MINI Mixed Reality experience, offering visitors an immersive journey through the MINI universe. This 10-minute adventure merges virtual and real worlds, allowing participants to drive a MINI Cooper Electric or a MINI Aceman in a cutting-edge virtual reality setting. This innovative experience will be located at Car Park M, providing festival-goers with a glimpse into the future of driving.

Following the launch of the three-door model, the five-door Cooper now joins the new MINI family, bringing extended space and cutting-edge in-car technology. It comes with two efficient petrol engines that ensure the exhilarating MINI go-kart feeling.

Measuring 4,036mm in length, 1,744mm in width, and 1,464mm in height, the MINI Cooper 5 Door retains almost identical dimensions to its predecessor. However, its wheelbase is 72mm longer, offering increased comfort and space for passengers compared to the MINI Cooper 3 Door.

The MINI Cooper 5 Door is available with two petrol engine options – C and S – across three well-specified trims: Classic, Exclusive, and Sport.

• MINI Cooper C: This variant is equipped with a 156 hp engine delivering 230 Nm of torque, achieving 0-62mph in 8.0 seconds with a top speed of 140mph. Priced from £24,050 OTR.
• MINI Cooper S: Features a 204 hp engine with 300 Nm of torque, sprinting from 0-62mph in just 6.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 150mph. Priced from £28,450 OTR.

Honoring the historic victory of the Mini Cooper S at the 1964 Rallye Monte Carlo, the racecar features a distinctive “37” logo, commemorating this milestone achievement and celebrating MINI’s rich motorsport legacy.

Competing in the SP 3T category, the New MINI John Cooper Works #317 will be entered by the Nürburg-based private racing team, Bulldog Racing. Dubbed the “MINI John Cooper Works PRO,” this MINI Twin-Power Turbo racecar represents the perfect blend of MINI’s iconic design and reliability with Bulldog Racing’s proven track expertise.

The second entry, the beloved black MINI John Cooper Works #474 with manual transmission, will also return to the track.
