My name is Javier Leon and I´m a freelancer based in Spain. I made this demo at Molinare. The intention was to recreate the feel of a scale model set for a stop-motion film but using CG. I made all the design, modeling/texturing and lighting myself.

Exploit yourself is a Spec commercial inspired by NIKE.

Directed by Carl Erik Rinsch, Expliot yourself talks about your own limits. The commercial was produced in Big Lazy Robot Visual Effects studio from february to may.

Our wish was to show off the nerve and spark and freshness of the city with the strength and power of modern sport competition, all in a whole 3d environment.

‘Exploit Yourself’ talks about pushing your limits just for the sake of it.

Who said life at the city was placid?

Solar Team Twente

C4Real presents to you, the Introduction Movie for Solar Team Twente solarteam.nl

We made this movie for the introduction of their brand spanking new Red Solar Car! The whole introduction revolves around the fact that the car is just plain Red, no sponsors on it, just Bright Red .

It was really cool seeing the car being designed and then built by the team. The technology behind this car is so amazing we made it a key part of the movie.

We used a lot of computers to render this one. We rendered in 32-bit at 1920×1080. The original Porsche movie was rendered on one computer in 4 months, this only took a week on multiple machines. We are currently building a bigger renderfarm so we can do this kind of quality super fast.

The Hangar the car is standing in was built from HDR photographs, there is even a runway outside that you can only see in the reflections of the car! The idea behind the huge fan was to put emphasis on the aerodynamic and extremely sleek design. It also gives the reflections something to play with. The LaZ0rs are there to give the car the color Red transmitted through light.

We had a lot of fun working on this project since we got so much support and freedom from the team.

The story is about the unexpected meeting between a yellow shirt sailor (responsible for aircraft movement) and a kite on a aircraft carrier…

This is a short that is made by second year’s animation students from the HKU in The Netherlands.
We made it with four people (Sander Kamermans, Nanda van Dijk, Percy Tienhooven and Jasper van Nieuwenhuizen) in about 8 mounths. We used Maya, Photoshop and Fusion.
The sound studio Symbol Music made this music for us (thanks you guys) and we used the renderfarm from the Dutch animation studio House of Secrets (thanks!).
