JOURNEY TO HIGHCLERE CASTLE WITH THE SICILIAN TENORS FEATURING LADY CARNARVON

Our first program, to be distributed nationally in August first on Public Television, is a sixty minute program that we recorded in March at Highclere Castle, the home of Downton Abbey. A Journey to Highclere Castle With The Sicilian Tenors Featuring Lady Carnarvon combines songs of the era with the stunning visuals of the castle to provide viewers with a truly memorable experience. THE HOUSE ON JONATHAN STREET

The House on Jonathan Street is a sixty minute documentary that has received approval for national distribution on Public TV for Black History Month, 2024. It focuses on the history seen by a once condemned but now renovated cabin on Hagerstown, Maryland’s historically African-American Jonathan Street. But even more, it traces the history of the Hagerstown region from early days, through John Brown’s raid, Antietam, World War II industrial prominence through the economic and social challenges facing rust belt America. 3 Roads made a presentation to the Sunrise Rotary in Hagerstown in June, and showed three segments from the (very) rough cut of the documentary, as well as soundbites from Governor Wes Moore, the 42nd person to be interviewed for the documentary. To view the clips, click here:

An Evening With the Sicilian Tenors, 3 Roads’ latest Public TV Pledge program, has been renewed for broadcast for another year. The special, featuring a Phantom of the Opera medley and classics like That’s Amore and Funiculi, Funicula, has already been broadcast hundreds of times in major markets such as Chicago, San Francisco, Boston and Washington. 3 Roads has been selected by Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley to produce a series of videos highlighting their job creation services. 3 Roads’ begins production on the videos right after Labor Day.

THE HOUSE ON JONATHAN STREET ENTERS ROUGH CUT STAGE

3 Roads has entered post-production for their new new Public TV documentary, The House on Jonathan Street. The one hour documentary traces the history of Hagerstown, Maryland’s historically African-American community of Jonathan Street. More than three dozen interviews have already taken place. GASLIGHT GALLERY PRESENTS A TRIBUTE TO PHOTOJOURNALISM

3 Roads’ sister enterprise, The Gaslight Gallery (GaslightArt.com) will present a new exhibition, featuring historic photographs from The Frederick News Post, beginning September 10th. The photos depict historic events that have taken place in Frederick, including the Camp David Accords and floods, and stunning everyday photos that were included in the paper from the 1970’s through the 1990’s. VAN HOLLEN, TRONE, CORDERMAN INTERVIEWED

3 Roads has been busy during the past six weeks, securing interviews with Senator Van Hollen, Rep Trone, Senators Corderman and Benson, Commissioner Cline, former Mayor Bruchey and Councilman Aleshire, as well as interviews with other stakeholders in the Jonathan Street community.

3 ROADS TO RECORD INTERVIEWS WITH JONATHAN STREET RESIDENTS

3 Roads has already conducted seven interviews with residents or former residents of Jonathan Street. Now, they have partnered with the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts to spend two full days interviewing residents and former resident at the museum’s new Jonathan Street exhibit. 3 Roads was just informed that it has received a Production Tax Credit from the Maryland Department of Commerce for our new documentary, The House on Jonathan Street. The documentary traces the history of the historically African-American Jonathan Street Community in Hagerstown, MD, using the almost demolition of an historic, tiny log cabin as the documentary’s starting point. The Community Foundation of Washington County has also agreed to be our fiscal agent for the documentary, which will be distributed to Public TV stations nationwide for Black History Month, 2023.

3 Roads’ Prez Russ Hodge hosted social commentator Fran Leibowitz as part of the Frederick Speakers Series in February. The duo traded bon mots as the Pretend It’s a City star opined on everything from NY tourists to the current political situation.
