Free Windows 8 Pin Module

It's there! Microsoft has officially launched Windows 8. The world will soon be flooded with the Windows 8 Start screen and everyone will learn to love it.

It's only a matter of time before webmasters will want to allow their visitors to pin their website as a real Tile to the Start screen.

While Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) does allow the user to "Pin" any website to the start screen, the webmaster will probably want to control what image will be used for the tile and what description will be proposed, not being the current page title.
To solve these issues, 40FINGERS has created the Windows 8 Pin Module for DotNetNuke.

This open source module is free to use on your DotNetNuke website.

Great Succes: OpenForce Europe / SDC 2010

2 conference days packed with 12 great sessions in total, meeting numerous DotNetNuke enthousiasts, community members and other profesisonals from pretty much all over Europe have ended today.
As a member of the organising staff I can honoustly say it has been the best OpenForce Europe we ever had! The "new names" among the speakers in the DotNetNuke track were very well received. Cuong Q. Dang, Ian Robinson and Brandon Haynes did an amazing job according to feedback from both the organisation and the attendees. Shaun Walker's keynote had some good information on the present and future (we all know the past, right?) of DotNetNuke.
The attendance in the DotNetNuke track of SDC 2010 (which is what we call OpenForce) was very good too. We even had to put extra chairs in the room on the second day.
In the closing dinner we have already looked forward to next year, but we'll just enjoy this year's succes for a few days first.
Thanks of the organisation goes out to all speakers and attendees of course.

Today, we got a piece of free publicity about the formalization of our co-operation in one of the leading newspapers in The Netherlands. Peter Schotman talked to Suzan Borst of the FD about the reasons behind the formation of our 'coöperatie'.
Thanks to Alfred Griffioen for getting the details in place (and @raymondwitvoet for pointing us to Alfred).

Monday, March 8th, at the notary offices of mr. P.F. Goedendijk, our Coöperatie 40Fingers u.a. is officially registered.
It took us a bit over a year to get familiar with the idea of forming a legal entity and many lengthy discuss about how our co-operation should work. With the help of Alfred Griffioen of www.allianceexperts.com, we now have a solid basis for taking our business activities to the next level.
We are looking forward to meeting new and interesting clients as well as serving the ones we have under our newly formed co-operation.

In between our busy schedules and client commitments, it is great to spend a full day among ourselves and make progress on our long, long list of idea’s and to work on modules and improve upon DotNetNuke.

Currently, we are working on a new module that will assist webmasters who are in charge of large DotNetNuke websites. What we are developing, we will disclose at a later date.
