What Have I Thrifted

Who doesn't like to buy cheap on a good quality of things. Somehow here in the US we have many thrift stores, stores do give discounts and huge sales in special days and that makes me happy. And if I bought an expensive bags that I think I was in limbo what I am thinking? ^_^ Last week I was browsing around and found three beautiful bags for less.

This one is really good for night out or a night party. It does look chic and I like the material. There is no zipper but how you open and close it you just have to push and pull the sides. This is from Target.

This one is a good talking piece. The shape is pretty unique and the color is girly.

This one looks vintage. I can see my mother had this one and this can also be turn to a clutch bag which that is what I am going to do if I am going out for a party. The color is blue but in different hues.

It's fun to look for vintage and thrifted stuff. We do not know what we discover like what I have above. What about you do you have something that made you smile this week?

Cover Girl and Elf

I went to Big Lots today and found this Cover girl powder for $2.00 I was thinking it might not suit my face color but when I opened it at home it was just right for me.

Then I found this lip gloss which I adorably love. It has a shade of pink but not too pinkish and it says for hours the price is just right. And it's Elf a plumping lip gloss!

Vacation Rentals Chicago

This winter is the best so far. Since I arrive here in the US this is the only winter that I have no plow snow. The best thing is that I can drive and my friends and me can go anywhere in wintertime. Last two weeks ago, my friends and I went to Canada for a quick visit to a friend. I told hubby about how fun our trip was and I told him that we are planning to visit to Chicago. Actually, this time is the best because there is no snow. I told my friends a vacation rentals Chicago apartments are too many to choose that I would like to bet this time of year it is not too busy so I think the rate is not too pricey. Hope that our plan would pursue because I am already excited thinking about it.

My Black High Heel

I so love the color of this top it's maroon/red that really compliment my pencil skirt. I put my pearl earrings and my high heel whohoooo got that from Charlotte Russe, I love the look and I do not have this kind of heel so I bought it. I think I have to wear a sheer tights so the sexiness of my high heel can be seen well. What you think?

Clipix Organize My Library Online

I am smiling from ear to ear today. I have a good time clipix-ing today and I am not done yet. If you have not heard about clipix here is what it is. First clipix is free how cool is that! It is awesome, new and useful tool that change the way we organize our lives online. Today, I tried to clean my bookshelf. I put all the books that I have read on the top shelf and the second shelf are the books that I have to read. I have more books that are waiting for me to read and I do not know where to start. This is also, what happen here in my computer. I bookmark many websites that has free books but because I bookmark the site long ago, I cannot find it. These time clipix work wonders on me. I priorities the books that I love to read and cannot pass the whole day without reading it. Clipix do the things that make it easy for me to get through the authors that I love and look at the websites if these authors has a new book coming or already out. I hardly wear skirts and tights much so black tights. These time I tried to make a little change of my wardrobe so I did look for some cuties skirt and I found two. These one is pretty well designed it makes me think it can make any person look slim. With a maroon long sleeve shirt and a khaki coat a black high heeled shoes incorporate a good look. The Esprit coat, Jones New York shirt and Merona skirt from Khols are thrifted that means they are all below $10 each. Tights is spanx and black high heel Charlotte Russ.

I am a thrift-er diva. I found out that I can find branded names in thrift stores. Am I lucky? I think so but I do know how to look. That is why I stay hours looking for something that is worth buying in a very low price. Then I just don't grab and go I have to fit it, to see if it does look good on me. Sometimes or most of the time it has a tag attached to the dress and voila it is mine then. Few weeks ago I visited GW and found this beautiful yellow blouse (Worthinton), together I found this Anne Klein blazer, swweetttt!! Tell me what you think!

These afternoon I went to GW. And see what I got that I so love it.

This is just $2.99 and I was so happy to see this took it right away and in my mind I say you are sold!
I can see myself with this with my poncho ^_^

These is a cutie for $3.99 with a tag from the store still ^_^ It's soft and silky.

A poncho for $3.99 and something that I haven't tried or do not have in my closet yet.
I tried it with leggings and high heels geez I look rich hahahaha!

These piece of clothing I also do not have in my closet. The size is right and I like it when I try it on.
with leggings, a top with sequins on it, my gold purse picture above, a high heeled boots. I am set for a night with girlfriends, lol!!

That's my haul for today. I spent only $15.00++ with them all. Spend right, fell right, feel rich in a budget!

Exotic Plants

To Buy exotic plants UK has plenty of plants to choose. I always thought that because UK is a cold country they do not have exotic plants. Well, I was wrong my cousin called me today telling me she just found the website about exotic plants. She loves plants as like I do and she did not hesitate to explore on the website and look around. I bet she bought at least two exotic plants. Because for me it is her dream come true. ^_^

Wrinkles Away Exercises

Okay, we may not agree but when we reach at the age of 40's our skin tend to change. Some see wrinkles as their prime problem. Some are the sagging skin from the face and we want to natural lift, right? Well I found an exercise that will keep away the wrinkles.

To soothe puffiness and firm up eyelids: Open eyes wide and stare, then squeeze them tightly shut. Repeat several times.
To discourage forehead lines and stimulate scalp muscles: Hold head still and look straight ahead. Raise eyebrows and forehead skin as high as you can. Feel the movement of the scalp and muscles around the ears. Relax. Repeat energetically several times
To discourage lines around the mouth: Force and exaggerated smile while mouth closed. Then relax lips. Pucker up lips as far as possible, then relax. With mouth shut, puff out cheeks and blow air from side to side several times. Then slowly blow air out. Repeat each exercise.
To firm up chin line: Open mouth as wide as possible. Thrust lower lip out and up, try to touch nose. Repeat several times.
To firm neck muscles and discourage wrinkles, repeat the following exercises several times: Throw head back. Jut chin and lower lip forward. Relax. Stick out tongue. Stretch it up to touch tip of nose. Relax. Sit at table. Place elbow on table and make fist under chin. Push down on fist with chin, at the same time, try to lift head upward with fist (Elbow must remain on table.) Relax.

The Stairs Test

Do not take this test if you are under medication such as blood pressure medicine, anti-depressants, tranquilizers, cold medicines.

Be comfortable. Remove your shoes. Pick a staircase with at least ten steps. Climb up. Climb down. Then up again. Nonstop. If, by the time you reach the top on your second climb, you are out breath, you need to do something about it. Immediately. If you are breathless on your first climb you need help. FAST!

The Vest

My mother loved flowers and one of her favorites are orchids. She had white orchids and dancing lady before and that was it. Buying orchids in the Philippines is pretty expensive so she just admire orchids from her friends. These orchids she called violet tiger orchid I don't know the real name of this but I saw these at Frederick Meijers at Grand Rapids. It's very pretty and like my mom I like to plant them but I don't have a space for them to put and take care. Because as I know of orchids has to be taken cared of really well. What you think?

This afternoon hubby and I went shopping. I told him I like to go to Target and hopefully find the packaging tape that we are looking. Inside I went directly to shoe department and voila I found cheap peep wedges. And mind you it's way 70% discount! I check if I have my shoe size and there was I bought two a leopard and a reddish in color. Take a look...oh by the way it's only $8.99 ^_^ What you think?

How many of us read what chemicals or ingredients our make up has made of. I think there will be just one out of one hundred people perhaps.
