My health had been really bad this last month. I've had 3 headaches in a row. The 1st one hit me on my HK Trip Day 2 (what a super bad timing); 2nd one hit me last Thursday and the 3rd one hit me this early morning when I woke up. Seriously, is my health that bad?

This illness had been haunting me and I'm so so afraid of the upcoming 4th relapse. I went to the polyclinic today and asked for a referral to a head and neck scan at NUH (schedule in 5th Apr). OMG! That's 2 months from now. I'll just have to stay optimistic and relaxed all the time. Hope everything would turn out well by then. FIGHTING!

PS: I joke to my colleagues to say that there's something sitting on my neck, just like THE SHUTTER movie scene. LOL! I think I'm quite optimistic.

X'mas with Him - 24Dec11

On x'mas eve, ch and me didn't have any big celebration, just a normal and simple one like what we usually do during weekends.

The biggest aim we had that day was to buy his x'mas present. I had sourced out a jacket for him but was waiting for him to try out the sizes. There was this Nike Grey Jacket with it's internal bright blue in color and I wanted so much to buy for him when I was sourcing for x'mas presents. Sadly to say, Paragon's shop was only left with a last piece of size M. In the end, I did not buy as I was afraid it'll be too tight for him.

So after some query and sourcing, we got to know that the Suntec shop had this very last piece of Size L. We immediately rushed down and bought it. He liked the design too (I won't deny that I always had a great taste in choosing clothes). LOL!

Then we settle for my favorite Korean Food at Seoul Yummy. Great choice!

Yeah! It's the X'mas season again~
Which means it's 4inl0ve's annual big event - X'mas Tree Polaroid Photo Taking!

I seriously love X'mas every year and look forward to it always. Although, my pocket would have burnt a great big hole every December, but I really don't mind. Having the chance to buy presents for the friends you loved is a blessing. It's the best time to show your love and concern for them.

This year, we omitted the presents giving between us, but the D.I.Y x'mas card design competition is still on. The theme for 2011 is "LAZY". It's crazy! How did we ever come up with this ridiculous theme? It was really difficult and we all knew that it's going to be a tough battle.

I will save the x'mas card pictures for next time when I got it from Yue Mei. The winner of the competition would also be revealed then. It's really interesting!

LSG Nite 2011 - 11Nov11

I've been too lazy to blog nowadays, especially when it's the holiday season lately. Oops! I've been busy with the X'mas season, shopping, buying presents for my dear friends around me.

Back to the topic, it's STE annual LSG Nite on the 11Nov11. What a good date to remember and have fun! We had the celebration at St James Power Station this year (budget was higher). LOL! It's really a great experience to have a company dinner at a night club. Seriously, who gets to have this kind of experience as we do? I'm really thrilled and overwhelmed.

The only flaw of the event was that a lot of people were left standing around, everywhere. As the area was so small to cater for that many of our staffs, we were left standing for 2 hours plus. Oh my! My legs were so sour and painful after the whole event ended. Nevertheless, I did had fun :)

wah when was the last time I blog? (seriously don't rememberrrr)

OK anyway I cannot remember if I told you guys that I have resigned from PSB in July 2011 and join a ceiling + drywall company as a sales executive

as quoted from my senior "做sales的是没有尊严的”

so in order not to eat grass, you must know how to act friend-friend with the contractors and professional + ATAS (Dictionary : ATAS (ah-tahs) , it describes someone as snobbish or arrogant) with architects. cannot appear to be desperate for business infront of them ok *flicks hair* ok so far so good after working here for 3mths. 吃不饱饿不死 but heng I have a great bunch of (crazy & fun) colleagues + boss! And one of the perks is the annual company trip (which is today's 重点 of my post)

We get to go Krabi in end oct - but hello they went japan + taiwan last year :(

plan to extend the trip and go BKK but because of the flood we change to Phuket.

Note: This company trip includes our colleagues from malaysia office and sales reps from Taiwan, korea etc. Total approx 30 people but I only took pictures of our own SG office people. lol anti-social

Korea Grad Trip Day 6 - 20Jun10

Day 6: Namsan Tower + Gyeongbukgung + National Folk Museum in Korea

Namsan Tower also is a very unique location for couples as they have this padlocks area where couples wrote their messages on the lock itself and lock it there for eternal love. See how countless the locks were over there (Khuntoria couple came during their shoot in We Got Married too)..

The green tea cake was not my favorite thou as it was bitter with only green tea taste; no sugar at all :(

We bought some tea leaves back and I can guarantee that you can't find them anywhere in Singapore.

The design layout of the shopping centre was very unique as you just need to keep walking (in squares) to reach the top. No stairs needed to reach other levels.

All items they sell in the shop are all miniature stuffs which means an ornament -_-

Korea Grad Trip Day 3 - 17Jun10

Day 3: Ewha Women's University + Hello Kitty Cafe + Street Soccer Match Watching

This is how we look when we were going to bed the previous night. Super plain. We were discussing plans for the next day.

Breakfast at a nearby eatery near our guesthouse. Our breakfast were mostly taken here as it serves super delicious food and at a reasonable price too.

Korea Grad Trip Day 2 - 16Jun10

Day 2 of the Grad Trip was full of interesting activities as well. We went to Everland Amusement Park for rides, animals and night parades!!

Korea Grad Trip Flight & Day 1 - 14/15Jun10

I had long wanted to blog about my Korean Graduation Trip which took place last year in June. Oh my! What took you so long to update the details? -_- It actually took me a year plus to consolidate all the photos (for you info, our whole gang took 5000+ photos in Korea and I really spent quite a lot of time on consolidating). Of course, my laziness played a part as well.

Just a summary of my feelings for the trip. It really was an interesting and memorable moment for all of us. I fell in love with Korea from the trip too. LOVE the food, LOVE the fashion, LOVE friendly people, LOVE the scenery, LOVE the dramas etc. And because of my love for Korea stuffs, I've signed up Korean Language class with Jason (LCG) at Daehan Korean Language School. Woo-hoo~ How great!

It's time to zzz in the plane as the time to reach Seoul would be 6am in the morning (which is 4 hours plus). Seriously, My eyes are tired and painful during the HK-to-Seoul flight. Didn't really sleep a lot.

Jean came from Busan (another side of Korea) to meet us at the airport
Amazing isn't it? We all came from different locations and come to meet at a common point :)

We got a shock when the cashier lady spoke. SUPER HIGH PITCH and SUPER SWEET TONE. Ha! I bet guys love all that.

We took the airport bus to our Guest House (Namsam Guest House) located at Myeong Dong.
It cost approximately $9 per person if I did not remember wrongly.

Sightseeing Korea in the bus was an enjoyment too :)

After settling down, we went to the opposite shopping area of our Guest House for a bite.
Super huge shopping area and we were all delighted!

There's simply too many shops to visit! I totally LOVE it! KPop idols (spokesperson) posters could be seen everywhere in/outside the shop.

Strolling down the streets of Myeong Dong's shopping area was such a wonderful experience.

We settle down in a restaurant which serves mixed fried rice and noodles
Totally LOVE it to the max! But the bad thing is, you'll smell after you left the restaurant. Never mind, who cares? Free flow of Kimchi, Radish, Soup and Mul (water).
Direct frying of the ingredients and rice/noodles in front of us. Very entertaining!

HUNGRY! We're hungry! Ha!

After the delicious lunch, we went to take Korea MRT at Myeong Dong station.

Purchasing our main public transport (MRT) card for next few days in Korea.
The machines were as high tech as Singapore's too.

Weili's Convocation 6Oct11

Finally, after waiting for 11 months for the convocation, today (6Oct11) is the day! A short introduction about Weili. She's finished her SIM part-time school life, majoring in business last year around November.

Yuemei and me had applied leave to attend her convocation at SIM that day. I was really excited about attending a friend's convocation as that's my first time doing so. We prepared a card, flowers and a balloon for her. Hope she'll like it (",)

Our presents:
1) A deflated Winnie the Pooh ballon (changed to another presentable balloon at the end of the convo);
2) A graduation card with our blessings all inside.
3) A sunflower for graduating blessings too.

While waiting for Weili to come out from her school hall, yuemei and me took some pictures.

Weili's parents must be very proud of her.

Bakerzin 28Sep11

It was a weekday which I had applied leave from work. It was so SHIOK to be lying on bed, waiting for the sun to rise up completely before preparing myself for a day full of activities.

On our schedule, we had planned to go for Macdonald breakfast at NYP, then to Wild Wild Wet (with vouchers going to expire soon) and then to Tampiness 1 for Bakerzin dinner. Of course, we did as planned with no interesting hiccups along the way :(

Macdonald breakfast had always been fulfilling and satisfying so I totally INDULGE in it. Hotcakes with sausage are always my favorite and I ordered it every time I had breakfast at Mac. Then, it was Wild Wild Wet, with super little people inside. No crowd equals no queue and I totally LOVE it. Tired after the swimming experience, we headed to Tampiness 1 for our Bakerzin feast (I had bought Bakerzin vouchers from Groupon, again and it's also going to expire soon).

Food we ordered: Aglio Alio and another pasta which I forgot the name of it, mushroom soup, 8-piece chicken wings and a New York Cheesecake. The only item that I don't really like are the chicken wings. It just doesn't taste right with the condiments put in but there is still something unique about it I must say. It's not awful and I emphasize here, it just doesn't suit my taste. Of course, I LOVE the dessert so much as usual. I might just patronize again for it's desserts :)

Girls Day Out 24Sep11

GIRLS DAY OUT! YEAH!

Yes! BINGO! You've guessed correctly. It's our 4inl0ve's day out (",)

Yuemei, Weili and me went for a $38 Groupon Hair Treatment session to pamper ourselves. To our surprise (emm.. maybe not that surprised), it's not a very sheek hair salon but a normal one with lots of other salons fighting for business in that whole level of Far East Shopping Centre. It was kind of expected when we walked past the hair salon level, seeing some very modern layouts and those budget ones. LOL! Anyway, we did have some "tai tai" experience thou which I was quite pleased.

We met up with Fang and Horsey for dinner at Paragon for Chinese food and GOSH, the food was ok, emm maybe not bad. Haha! The cost was reasonable when all of us shared all the dishes but I wouldn't patronize the restaurant again as I'm not a big fan of more expensive hometown dishes when I get to eat it at home almost everyday after work. FOC!

After dinner, we went to Horsey's new office located at North Star and WOW, I was blown away by it. The office was so big and cool and fantastic with all those pantry and movie rooms etc (we watched DMC! ROCK FOR LIFE!). LOL! Let me get some pictures for you guys after Christmas (we'll be having BBQ session over there to celebrate Christmas). Super LIKE it!

66 Months Anniversary 17Sep11

Oh well, we didn't really celebrate the anniversary (which was on the 16th instead) actually. We just exchanged presents. Ha! He got me a flower which I like and I got him a D.I.Y scrapbooking in an IKEA photo frame (did some alterations as the scrapbooking was smaller than the frame -> that took me an hour plus -_-).

Very happy with the flower :)

Zhu Jiang's B'dae 20Aug11

Recently, we LCG drew up some time to gather for Zhu Jiang's birthday celebration. We decided to have Japanese Buffet after some voting between Chinese food and Japanese food. Apparently, most of us went for the latter. I spent around $38 for all that cuisine at Kiseki located at Heeren basement. Emm.. I would say, the desserts are my only greatest satisfaction other than Sashimi (Sashimi always tastes good). The main courses were normal except for the cold crab legs which tastes super wrong (quoted by von and jason). According to them, the crabs were just not up to the standard.

But I really do love the sweet part of the buffet, which were the desserts. The waffles was superb. Ice cream were Hokkaido ice creams with flavors like green tea, black sesame, vanilla, mango etc. There's also chocolate fondue and toppings like nuts and raisins. Mini cakes and puddings were available too. I'M SO LOVIN' IT!

Multi-Colored Xiao Long Bao 18Aug11

Chee Hong and me were shopping in town this fine day and decided to have dinner at Paradise Dynasty as we wanted to try the signature multi-colored Xiao Long Bao. Well, the eight different flavors of XLB cost us $13.80 (quite expensive but to consider the unique tastes they enhance in, it sounds reasonable too).

The eight flavors description after tasting:
Normal: The usual taste which most people can accept and I liked it best.
Cheese: Salty cheese taste with a little bit of melted cheese in between the filling.
Szechuan: The juice was totally like having Spicy "Ma la" Steamboat.
Black Truffle: Normal XLB with some small bits of truffles which you could chew on.
Foie Gras: Had the awful clam taste and I didn't like that.
Ginseng: Felt very nourishing but light (quoted by chee hong).
Crab Roe: A bit salty of the normal XLB (quoted by chee hong).
Garlic: Super garlic taste! (quoted from chee hong).

We also had ramen which I was very pleased with the soup base as it tastes fantastic. The overall bill wasn't too expensive too, judging from what we ordered. 3.5 stars out of 5 is my review for it.

Baking Lessons 16Aug11

I chanced upon this baking class poster while I was walking to teach tuition one evening (I would always walked pass the community center just opposite my house). I got so interested in it and signed up for the Chocolate Molten Lava Cake and Brownie course. It cost me $28 for the lesson and $8 for the ingredients. If it's for a skills learning session, I think it's worth it. Sometimes, minor mistakes in the baking process might just be the reason of your unsuccessful attempt.

Of course, I did picked up some useful skills and was super eager to test them out at home but it's a shame that I still did not have the chance to do so (with my mum strongly against me for making a mess of her kitchen and discouraging me as I had more failed attempts than successful ones). I will do so one day, maybe when she's not at home to nag me. LOL!

Xuan Hui's Drawing

Here's a piece of drawing from my beloved niece to me! Aww~ How sweet of her~ She drew it just for me when I was home one fine weekday and put it in my room secretly (actually she just wanted to put it up on the whiteboard in my room). Her drawing looks funny and cute at the same time. LOL!

The cat's eyes are super close to the ears with the whiskers above them. Just beside, the flower pot was so much bigger than the cat -_- . There's a blue-leaf tree with flowers beside the cat too. A tiny small sun at the top left hand corner and a row of flowers at the bottom of the picture. Well, from this picture, it's not hard to guess that my niece loves drawing flowers a lot. LOL! Hope I can get more of her drawings to post next time. Do look forward :)

Haru Cafe??? 14Aug11

It was really an unexpected situation when we reached the cafe. SHOCKED! FAINTS! DISASTER! No amount of words can describe what we were experiencing at the moment.

We had bought the vouchers from one of the deals website (which I couldn't remember which one is it) and were happily looking forward to interacting with the butlers. CG! But to our disappointment, we couldn't see any CG when we reached and were shocked by the restaurant's layout. Look at the pictures below and you will know why. For your info, CG = Cute Guys. We only saw a very young boy (from some overseas country) looking pretty sad when he was working inside the restaurant (actually it's just a open space area with some mats inside) -_-. He looked like he's being forced to worked there. No comments!

The person in charged told me that they were currently having the summer festival theme which they actually had tried to decorate the whole space with the summer stuffs. Hmm.. So it's a summer theme she meant. Still, I don't think the decorations are good enough to let me feel summer in there. But she was very polite thou which was the only good experience I had. No CG, no Haru atmosphere, no nothing. GREAT!

NDP 2011 - 9Aug11

It's really been very long since I went to watch NDP live, and I mean it. It's so long till I can't remember the number of times that I applied for the NDP tickets and the rejected feeling of not receiving any calls or messages to inform me of the good news of my balloting results.

Lucky me this year, we got the tickets (ch ballot for his whole family and his cousin was the lucky one). Yeah! Finally, we're going for the NDP this year. I figured out the things to do during NDP. Putting on NDP tattoos, singing aloud of Singapore songs, shouting and cheering throughout, waving the Singapore flag (provided in the goodie bag) and waving the lightsticks when the night dawns etc. And I did all that. I'm so so happy and proud to be a Singaporean.

Night Safari - 30Jul11

This fine evening, I made my way to the Night Safari for the first time in my life. I bought the discounted tickets at half the original price, $16 at Deal.com.sg. Wow! I did saved quite a lot.

Yue Mei bought the tickets too as she wanted to come with Weimin (their first visits too). So, the four of us (Yue Mei, Weimin, Ch and me) went together. Ha! Sounds like a double couple date. Due to not being able to forecast any huge crowd at the Night Safari, which is a grave mistake but also a pleasant-surprise mistake at the same time. We waited for 30min for the tram as there were simply too many tourists (the grave mistake) but I felt good, like a real tourist (pleasant-surprise mistake). Ha! Contradicting!

To summarize on the whole trip, it was exciting in the first hour but it soon became tiring and exhausting and hungry as we kept walking. Some of the animals were asleep while some just turned their backs on us. It was also very dark and we could hardly see some of the animals.

Night Safari experience: To visit once in a lifetime till any new or interesting animals were being brought in.
