"We are in town, courtesy of Vivendi Universal Games, to interview the man who is currently the world's most successful recording artist, 50 Cent. Pitching up at the large but somewhat moth-eaten Grand Hyatt in the centre of this sleepy resort town, where 50 Cent and his G-Unit cohorts are staying in preparation for playing an Anger Management Tour gig with Eminem and his posse, uncertainty is in the air. Will Fiddy (as he is universally known) and his gang live up to their fearsome gangsta reputation? Will we get more than five minutes with the man himself? Will we even be able to understand what he is saying?"

A little bit about the 50 cent video game Bulletproof:

50 Cent: Bulletproof is somewhat shrouded in mystery, so who better to tell us about it than the eponymous hero himself? In person, although seriously muscle-bound, 50 Cent is softly spoken, articulate and considered - surprisingly, he radiates an air of calmness and authority. He explains how 50 Cent: Bulletproof came about: "All of my business ideas come from my actual lifestyle. While we're on the road, I see how much [the G-Unit] utilise the videogames systems as a form of entertainment. You know, they'll turn off the satellite television to play videogames for hours and hours at a time. So I was like: I want to be able to entertain on that format. So I approached Jimmy [Iovine, head of Interscope] and we went to Vivendi Universal and got the ball rolling. Fiddy points out that the game crosses over with the film Get Rich Or Die Tryin': "I used the writer from the film, Terry Winter, because I spent over three months with him, giving him information that allowed him to compile the actual screenplay. He took that information and created a theme and the dialogue for the film." Essentially, 50 Cent: Bulletproof is a fictional account of what may have happened in 50 Cent's life if he hadn't achieved success as a hip-hop artist. It starts with Fiddy getting shot, and develops into a third-person action-adventure game in which Fiddy and his gang - including the G-Unit members Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck, plus Eminem and Dr Dre - exact revenge on the shooter or shooters.

50 Cent: Bulletproof is noticeably violent - is Fiddy worried about the accusations of glorifying violence that will be flung his way when it launches? "You know what? It's no more violent than anything that we show in an action film. They said I glorified violence, but I don't glorify violence, I acknowledge it. You know, because it's going on in the environment that I come from." Tony Yayo - whose new album Thoughts of a Predicate Felon is about to drop, also has plenty to say on the matter: "The videogame is crazy. I think Banks is picking locks, Buck is the fastest runner, Fiddy's kicking everyone's ass - it comes out in November. It's mature, for the mature crowd only. It's not really for little kids. Hopefully they won't steal it from their moms and dads, brothers and stuff like that."

-The 50 cent game opens with some suspicious events that lead to 50 cent being shot 9 times and surviving. The player will be introduced to the story and game mechanics while playing through this flashback. Once recovered, what would appear to be a classic revenge tales descends into some pretty dark and seedy s**t.

-50's all over the game: the story, game mechanics, graphics, tone, voice over. You name it. The game has an incredible collection of his past, present and new exclusive music and freestyles.

GameIndustryBiz reports : " Vivendi Universal supports Games Market Europe ". This summer, from August 31st to September 1st at The Business Design Centre, Islington, Games Market Europe will play host to a number of publishers across the industry.

Vivendi Universal Games UK (VU Games) will be attending the Games Market Europe trade show held in London , displaying select titles from its pre-Christmas line-up:

Running from VU Games will be showcasing its line-up with the first UK presentation video for action title 50 Cent: Bulletproof video game, starring the New York hip hop artist 50 cent. The game is being penned by the Emmy-winning producer of hit TV series The Sopranos, Terry Winter, and is set for an end of 2005 release on PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

PRO-G reports that 50 Cent's first videogame will be slightly different on the PSP:

50 cent rapper brings mayhem to NY and professionalism to movie set.
Word is Fiddy is routinely causing chaos since moving the filming of Get Rich or Die Trying from Toronto, Canada to New York City. According to a SOHH.com insider, the Queens rapper 50 cent throws $50 bills in the air everyday at the end of shooting. "The crowd breaks the police barricades and go wild and the cops can't stop him" .

This past Tuesday, 50 caused another stir after going through a Dunkin Donuts' drive-in. The surprised cashiers screamed as they stuck out the drive-in window and hysterical fans toppled tables and trashed the store. Despite the pandemonium 50 has caused since returning to the Big Apple, his days on-set have been drama-free. The G-Unit has reportedly proved to be professional and reliable throughout Get Rich's filming. The flick is presently on location at 207th and Sherman Ave. in Inwood, Manhattan.

"[50 is] very professional—comes on time, never blunted. He's so on time that once the movie set wasn't ready for him. The set has twenty police officers a day on site; there's usually only 1 to 2 cops on a movie set." The source also tells us, "50 cent has a full blown state-of-the-art studio trailer where he chills and makes music.

I try to find some video with 50 cent filming on this movie but so far nothing. I think the trailer will not be release until the movie is done (not like in the case o the 50 cent game : Bulletproof where the 50 cent game trailer was released months before the game release...

Something new about the 50 cent game bulletprof: sequels already planned!

Vivendi Universal Games president Phil O'Neil revealed that sequels to the unreleased Scarface: The World is Yours and 50 Cent: Bulletproof are planned, according to an article on GamesIndustry.biz.

According to O'Neil, VU Games sees "a Scarface 2, a Scarface 3, a Scarface 4, and consecutive iterations of that product as being a really important component of what we're trying to do here."

Scarface: The World is Yours features the continuing adventures of Tony Montana, the Cuban drug kingpin who told us to say "'ello to his little friends" (his friends being assault weapons) in the 1983 movie by Brian De Palma. The game will take place in the aftermath of the destruction of Tony's world and will feature Grand Theft Auto style gameplay as you try to rebuild your empire through such dipolmatic means as assassination and property damage in the South Florida of the 1980s.

In a similar vein, 50 Cent: Bulletproof takes us from the glitz and glamor of Tony Montana's South Florida to the gritty underground of New York City. The game will feature the rapper getting caught up in a deadly international conspiracy with the only way for him to get untangled being to blast his way through the crime families of New York.

O'Neil hopes that both the Scarface and 50 Cent brands become "sustainable franchise brands" for VU Games.

Well now, I'm just waiting for the first 50 cent game (till now just a game trailer released) before expecting the sequel. But if they are already talking about the second game (something like 50 cent: Bulletproof 2 game ) I just cannot stop thinking that this game will be great.

Well at least we will have 50 cent shooting on our screens and that's something... :)
