“A simulation of a living wall was created for Earth Day this year with the collection of over 300 plastic bags, bottles, straws, as well as the help of almost 100 new “gardeners” at Capital Library. The artwork remains on public display from now through the end of May 2011.

]]>Each year, CGI U hosts a meeting for students and national youth organizations to discuss solutions to pressing global issues. CGI U 2011 will be held at the University of California at San Diego from April 1-3, 2011. At this meeting, nearly 1,200 attendees will come together to make a difference in CGI U’s five focus areas:
- Education
- Environment & Climate Change
- Peace & Human Rights
- Poverty Alleviation
- Public Health
The CGIU is looking for commitments to action, so if you’re over 18 and enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate university course then now is the time to apply. You can apply individually or as a group of four, but it has to be done by the 7th of Feb 2011.
