PS3 set up help?

I had a samsung 1080i tv…set my ps3 up on it and everything went smooth and fine….i just got a new 52 inch samsung 1080p tv both are LCDs…well when i put a game in it says mode not supported and takes a minute then the game plays…it was doing a popping noise around this time also…

Any idea what the problem could be…And what i should do.
theres 2 hdmi ports on my tv…i got it in the upper port
and i have all the resolutions checked in the boxes…but it says my ps3 is set to 1080p which is what the ps3 found automatic because my tv is 1080p….but all the boxes are checked also.

Any ideas?? i give all the points to anyone that can help me get the ps3 the way it was on my old tv back to my new tv

What exactly is a PROJECTION HD TV?? Please help!! I have no idea about technology!!!?
I’m thinking of upgrading my 32 inch Dynex tube tv for an RCA 52 inch HD projection tv…WOULD THAT BE A GOOD DECISION?? I have no idea what a projection tv is??? Does it project on your wall?? How exactly does it work???? what are the pros & cons???? The only reason why I am looking @ this type of tv is b/c my neighbor just bought a new LCD tv is selling his & he said he would give it to me for $250…( he told me a lil about it but I need REAL ANSWERS!)I just don’t have a clue about these tv’s and I need people’s advice and if you have one that would be even better if you could tell me about them & if you love or hate it. PLEASE HELP!!!! Thank you!

Best TV to get with $1200?

Im wanting to get a new TV and i dont want to spend more than 1200 if possible. I have a 36in sanyo right now and have had no problems with it. Walmart has a 50in Sanyo Plasma for 698. or a 52inch LCD Sanyo for 1147. I know alittle about Tvs but is there really that much of a different between those two tvs (720 Plasma vs 1080LCD) to pay that much more for the 52 inch.
Also if there are any other ideas for better tvs for the price thats out there. I want to get at least a 50 inch or close to it.
Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

Looking at 52 inch sony xbr Bravia 240 hertz or samsung 7 series 240 hertz oy difference I see is contrast ratio samsung has more is there really big difference I play alot ps3 and watch sports and movies is led better than LCD or what I have like 2500 budget to spend

im looking at plazma vs lcd vs dlp i need help in understanding which is the best. size 42-52 inch for hdtv and gaming. what is the differance 1080p-1080i-720p-720i is the 1080 vs 720 differance so great it costs almost a grand more for the same size

I’m looking for a brand new TV and need some opinions. I’m looking to spend around 2,000 and wanna get a 52 – 54 inch.

I’m just not sure about DLP, LCD, 1080i,1080p and all that technical stuff. I use my TV for movies, sports and Games(X-Box 360).

I have a choice to make on a samsung 1080p lcd tv, 50,000:1 contrast ratio. I don’t know whether to buy the 46 inch or the 52 inch, is it that much of a difference? I’ve heard that 50 inch tv’s are bad for gaming, is that true? I want a big screen to watch sports, play games, and watch some movies. In that order. Any input please would be appreciated, which tv would you guys get? Thanks

Matted screen cause i have a well lit room.
No wider than 52 inches so it fits in a tight space
LED or LCD
Between $1200 and $1800
at least 100,000 to 1 contrast ratio.

FAST! Need help with Decision. LCD TV. Help!?

Im debating on buying one of these 2 LCD TV’s but I cant make a decision, the First one is 52″ (6 inches larger) and comes with a 4 year best buy warantee. But does not have a ethernet hookup for tv integrated internet programs.. It also has a Dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1 Here is the link:

The second one is a 46″ which is newer comes with ethernet hookup for internet programs such as youtube and can also access home network… it has a dynamic ratio of 150,000:1 which is much higher than the first one..

The price difference: The first one would cost me $950 and the second one (smaller one) would cost me $1250. Here is the link to the second one:
