I recently bought a 52 inch Samsung lcd and the picture is awful on basic cable. Was hoping someone has tried the edge and if it is worth the $850.00

Okay, i’ve been doing some research and I can’t decide. These are not new TV’s, they are Refurbished I need help to decide. I went to the TV warehouse and one of the store clerk recommended the Sharp. He said that overall the Sharp has the best value for it’s specs. But I want to see what people think, this is going to be my first LCD tv so I really want to make no mistake. Here are the three.

I know the Sharp has problems with Bending and Sony has Clouding problems. I haven’t heard anything about Samsung but i’m sure it has some sort of problems too because they are all still electronics.

can i play my 360 on my tv?

I have a 16 month old, 52 inch rear projection LCD, with HDTV, if I try to sell it how much is it worth? It sold for 999, but I paid about 1350 after warrenty and tax? Also it is a General Electric.
I already checked ebay, and there were no tvs that I could find in the same price range, as mine, they were either much nicer, or pieces of crap.

LCD Television noise issues?

I have 2 sony bravia televisions. 1 is a 46 inch 1080p LCD and the other is a 32 inch 720p LCD. They are both about 8 months old.

The first one (46 inch) makes a few crackling noises upon startup and makes crackling noises when turned off for about 2 mins. It also occasionally makes a clicking noise when it is on. I have called Sony and they suggest that it is internal components heating/cooling, but I’m still concerned.

The 32 inch TV does not make the crackling sounds upon startup/turnoff but it does occasionally make a noise when the TV is off but still plugged in. It is always plugged in to a surge protector so that may have to do with it.

Are these noises normal or the cause of some concern? I know a friend who also has a sony bravia 52 inch that occasionally makes some of these noises too. I’m thinking about having sony come out and look at the TVs, but they’ll charge 90 bucks if nothing is wrong. please help.
are all the sounds normal? Including when the TV is off but still plugged in?

How come some TVs don’t make these noises?

BTW I don’t think I should have to update my software for an 8 month old TV…

should i get a 22 inch LCD Monitor – LG Flatron Widescreen for $300‏ for my ps3 in my room i have a 52″ lcd tv but is in the living room and please dont just say “YES” can you tell me if it is worth buying like i play cod4 and i am waiting for gta to come out are the graphics gonna be good

ok. here’s my dilemma. I just bought a 60 hz 52in samsung lcd tv for my room. it cost $1800. i bought a big tv because my room is huge. i didnt really understand the meaning of the 60 hz and 120 hz. Then my parents bought a 47in 120 hz LG lcd for $1000. I can tell a huge difforence between the picture when watching TV. I also bought a PS3 and i cant really tell a big difforence between the picture of the two TVs. My parents offered to trade TVs with me. Im not sure on if i should do it quite yet. im leaning more on the trading side but i want to know if thats stupid. i payed $800 more for mine and its 5 inches bigger, but theirs is 120 hz. Should I? and sorry for making this so long. im also thinking about buying an HDMI cable.

Mounting my LCD too heavy for two studs?

I have a 52 inch tv that weighs 59 lbs. Wall mount weighs 42 lbs. The mount can reach out to 14 inches. I will be putting it into two wood studs in the wall. Should I be worried about the weight of these two things. Im worried it is too much for the studs. Thanks!
