I painted this at PaintNite at Maggiano’s restaurant in LA. Everyone else was painting birds and hearts but I’m not a fan of either so I did my own thing. I still got a lot out of the instruction and could never have come up with this beautiful background if it weren’t for the artist instructing. And it was so easy! Just make a circle of white-yellow, then add a ring of blue-green around it, then a darker green, then a darker blue, then start blending them together. At one point, I even fully covered my original circle of yellow-white and added it back in, slowly. That definitely gave my painting a little bit different effect from the others. But I love it!
