Back in May of 2012 I made a blog post THE CARE AND KEEPING OF AN IZZIE all about my best friend and baby love. I realize some time has passed, and many of the facts on this old care sheet are outdated. So here we are with a newly updated care sheet.

So, you have stumbled upon a wild Izzie most likely in a desert hidden among some abandon structure. It hissed and spit in your general direction until you walked away, but what you didn't realize is that it has actually taken a liking to you and followed you home. So now what?

Here is how to take care of your new (house guest) pet!

1. What is an Izzie?

In the past it was believed that Izzie was a fox like creature, recent studies have found this to be incorrect. Izzie is actually part of the coyote family, found in the western deserts of the united states, They are very rare, So if you have found one, or if it has found you, consider yourself lucky.

2. How will I know if I have found an Izzie?

Most Izzie's are about 5'5" tall with dark red hair. There are some that will change their hair color depending on the season. Some common colors include: White blonde, neon pink, black, rust, bright red. Don't be fooled if you find one with one of these other colors. Izzie has also been spotted with a coyote tail, that is gray with a white tip and a black stripe of some kind.

3. When is an Izzie most active?

The illusive Izzie is what they call Crepuscular . Meaning they are most active at dawn and dusk. You will most likely see an Izzie come out of its burrow in the afternoon, and retreat back to sleep before the sun fully rises. This allows it to be alert during the night, when most predators are sleeping, It also keeps the Izzie cool in the hot summer months.

4.Habitat

Izzies are most comfortable in even temperatures, around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Surrounded by things that inspire them creatively. They do not like being left alone during their active hours. Make sure you check on them frequently, or they may be a little destructive. An Izzie's Den should be kept at a slightly colder temperature then the rest of their habitat, they do not like over heating while they sleep. Despite sleeping with many blankets, They don't usually stay under them very long. My Izzie, for example, has nine blankets but kicks them all off by the time they wake up. The den should also be kept dark at all hours, to help the Izzie sleep during the hours the sun is up.

5. What do I feed an Izzie?

Good: Izzies are opportunistic eaters. Results may very.

Meat: most meats are good, an Izzie will try to stick to poultry, but if it is not available the Izzie will eat what, is available

Seafood: All seafood is a plus some of Izzie's favorites are calamari and salmon, but most local fish will do as well.

Veggies: Squash, potatoes, pumpkin anything are a favorite, but all veggies are acceptable.

Fruits: Raspberries are a favorite along with lemon. Bananas are okay on occasion.

Sugar: Best in small amounts, sometimes your Izzie will crave it. This is normal to get your Izzie something small like a donut.

Drinks: Izzies drink a lot of arrowhead water, keep this stocked. Along with Diet coke, in the bottles. Izzies do have a bad habit of only drinking about half the bottle and leaving it out somewhere. When this happens it is as good as dead to the Izzie. Once it gets warm the Izzie will assume it is flat, so unless you enjoy old diet coke, just throw it away.

Bad: The following are things Izzie CAN NOT EAT

Oranges, Grapefruit, strawberries, peaches, most citruses.

Tilapia (a type of fish)

Bell peppers

Izzie will avoid:

Excess Salt, to much butter or grease, or an excess of melted cheese.

6. Temperament

Izzies are fairly quiet creatures unless brought into a social situation, only then will they become vociferous. Be warned Izzies are very sarcastic and can have a morbid sense of humor at times. if you do not understand sarcasm I would not recommend owning an Izzie. There are times when the Izzie is under great stress or will become upset, this time is usually short lived then they will return to their friendly state once again. Izzie 's are territorial, they will fight to protect their domain and all the people they like in it. It may take quite a while to gain the trust of an Izzie to be welcome into its home.

7. Exercise

You do not need to walk your Izzie, unless your Izzie shows an interest in doing so. Izzies do not typically enjoy exercise but if they are in a good enough mood they may drag you along into the desert or a near by wooded area for a quick adventure. They would much rather ride along in your passenger seat of a car or truck, to strange and unfamiliar places.

8. Grooming?

Much like cats, there is not much for you do in this department. Izzies are very clean and can clean up after themselves. They bathe frequently in the clean bathroom as long as their is running water and a clean towel that has the sent of Gain. Coming from the desert regions, an Izzie may require a type of moisturizer to keep their skin soft. The one I find my Izzie likes best is a seaweed based lotion that can be found at Ulta, for about $18 a bottle. but that bottle will last over a year. you will need to buy can's of Got2Be Glued hairspray more often however, along with frequent eyeliners.

9.Past times for an Izzie?

An Izzie's one true passion is art, as such you will need to keep a full stock pile of supplies which include: sketchbooks, pencils, erasers and markers, the Izzie species prefers copic markers.Which can be a bit pricey make sure you save up for these.

Izzie also enjoys digital art, make sure you give it access to a wifi connected laptop with lots of storage and well tuned drawing tablet for them to work with.

Izzie's do tend to enjoy history, so I hope you like watching documentary about things you had no idea existed.

Along with this the Izzie also likes to read strange articles about things and share all the details with whoever is around at the time the Izzie reads about it.

Izzies require access to some kind of television, not to watch cable access shows mind you. They enjoy watching Youtube videos, along with Netflix and Hulu. (Remember those weird documentaries I mentioned earlier. )

Video Games: Izzie's love video games especially what they call open world games some examples are Skyrim, Fallout and most recently Zelda Breath of the wild. Having these available to your izzie will give them hours of entertainment.

Story writing: Izzie's are full of interesting and creative ideas, they want to develop into something more, but haven't quite got there yet. But they love having someone to bounce their ideas off of and help them develop these worlds and characters into even more.

10. Will my Izzie get along with other pets?

this answer still remains the same! Izzie's love all animals! As long as they have passed the initial trust test, an Izzie will be a great companion to any animal you may have in your home.

In all seriousness I love this girl more then anything else in this world, and I wouldn't change a thing about her.

First Flight

Old draft that I kind of forgot about sorry.

After taking a couple weeks for myself and seeing Izzie off to China. It was time for me to start my training for the company I was going to be working for, but as luck would have it there was not a terminal in my state for me to go to. I was instructed that I will be going to Denver Colorado. Which they were nice enough to offer me an oh so pleasant grayhound bus ride for 12 hours to get there. Which I was going to do, until I really thought about it. Being as anti social as I am and being surrounded by strangers for 12 hours I think not. So a word of advice if a job offers to give you a bus ticket politely decline. Unless you like to smell like other peoples body oder for a week.

Instead after a quck online search and Judy telling me about how much better a flight would be, $250 dollars later I had a 1 hour flight booked in first class, well as first class as you can get with these small airlines.

Now the main issue, I had never been on a plane before. In all of my 24 years on this planet I had never been in the air, yet there are five year olds who fly alone.

Lets just say I was so nervous that I got about three hours of sleep the night before. only to wake up way to early but richard was still willing to drive me to the airport. Once I arrived I realized I was out of place as always everyone waiting at my gate was dressed up or dressed as if they were going on a bussinuess trip for the day. with their breifcases and clean suitcases.

Then there is me, dressed in a crappy pair of jeans loose T-Shirt, slip on shoes that don't match with my black handme down dufflebag, galaxy print backpack with my beat to shit pillow strapped to it with a bright blue luggage strap.

Since I arrived way to early I walked around the airport spent way more then I needed to on a soda from the magizine shop. before akwardly bording my flight with the other first class patrons.

When we first got on the plane we were greeted by two flight attendents who were complete oppisites the first was the most sterotypical flight attendent short skirt and scarf. if you type flight attendent into google images all the results are very similer to how she looked. Exibit A:

As for the second flight attendent was and older and slightly over weight, and was not the most pleasent person. being my first flight ever and being my age I wanted to pretend I knew what I was doing but she was very particuler about the overhead compartment and was very voicturous about me putting my backpack in the wrong spot. lets just say I tried to mind my manners and stayed quiet around her.

On to the actual flight now being someone who suffers from altitude sickness on road trips my main concern about the flight was take off and landing, fear I was going end of throwing up on the plane. during take off suprisingly I didn't get sick however it did take a few minutes for my stomach to chatch up to my body. Once everything adjusted to being in the air, I tried to settle in for the flight.

Supervisor to Truck Driver?

As many of you have noticed Idid take a hiatis from this blog and have decied to start wrting and posting again as much as possible, but first there are a couple of things that have changed and these changes will be effecting what is written here.
First off lets start with my job or career if you would at the time I stopped writing this blog I was working in what many of you would call a dead end call center job. At this call center after being there for about three years and clawing my way up the latter I had finally reached my goal of becoming supervisor.
Once I recived the title I worked so hard for that is when things started falling apart, my manager that I had been working with for over a year decided to quit and find work elsewhere. As crushed as I was it was quickly followed by an inner rage by the person I found out was replacing her was a supervisor that had been there just as long as me and was quite a bit younger.
Being the proffisonal I thought I was trying to be at the time I hid the flames of rage deep inside and tried to see the bright side. But she quickly ruined that by showing me that going forward I would always be the scape goat and never meet her expectations.

To sum it up after a few months of working withthe new manager, and being brought down in every situation I would go to work and just due my time the thought even came to mind a few times to jump out the ground floor window just to spice things up, if that gives you a look into my mind at the time. by this time I decided it would be best if I found something new.

Lucky for me a good friend of mine called me and said " hey I am driving trucks now I think you would like it come drive trucks with me" after thinking about it for a good month or so I decided why not I enrolled myself in CDL driving school and put in my two weeks at the call center leaving one nasty note about the manager with higher management.

The driving school I decided to attend was a four week program from Roadmaster driving school. It went something like this:

Week one: Classroom lots of computer based training and paperwork.

Week two: Got my permit by passing the state test, got to drive a real truck for the first time, with an instructor. It was awesome suprisingly not scary at all.

Week three: basic practice driving on the road and backing, while standing in the blistering hot waiting for your turn in the truck (my fault deciding to sign up in the middle of the summer)

Week Four: build up to taking the test. For the CDL.

After the four weeks of dragging ass and coming home with diffrent degrees of sunburns everyday I did it! I now had a CDL.

After taking a couple of weeks off to recover from driving school I was going to start driving for a proffisonal company.

How life changes once you adopt a cat.

So I recently wrote about my new kitten (Nuka-Cola).
just to give some quick back story to why this is so new to me, growing up I NEVER owned a cat, we always had dogs but never a cat because of my mom's allergies. this is one reason I was so excited when I brought my very own kitten home. I never realized how involved a cat would be in my life. I was always told cats don't like to be bothered and can be quite aloof at times. this is how things have been since Ms. Nuka joined the household:

every morning at about 7am I wake up to this cat snuggled up next to my face, which she insists is her spot, Once I'm up on my feet Nuka follows me around while I get dressed, until she sits down next to her food bowl and stares at me, With a look of "how dare you" of course i give in and give her breakfast then make my quick escape to the bathroom while she is distracted.
Why? you may ask well you see while I am in the bathroom weather I am brushing my teeth or showering if the door is closed this cat will stick her paws under the door and meow like I have abandoned her forever, followed by her clawing at the rug outside the door. once I am done in the bathroom and open the door I am greeted by a lump of "catloaf"* sitting in the middle of the rug. I nearly trip over her everyday.
After getting ready for the day it is time to get breakfast for me, which Nuka stays right on my heels she will follow me up the stairs and around the kitchen until I sit down to eat. Where she begs for me to share until she gives up and ddecides the birds are more entertaining, I swear this cat would follow me to work if I let her.
skipping ahead now after my long day of work I walk down the stairs and this cat will be waiting for me inside the door, greeting me with a short meow. and following me through the basement once again even when i settle down to watch some Dr. Who.Which she happily joins me curled up in my lap.
Then when it is time for bed I tell her "Time for bed Nuka Kitty" she runs into the bedroom wanders around until I get settled then curls up next to my feet. ready to start the next day just the same.
all and all I love this freaking cat, I never thought I cat would love me as much as she apparently does.
Now as much as I love this cat, she does have some small problems that I am aiming to resolve now that she is getting older. one of these problems is she seems to have endless amounts of energy, she will run around attacking anything that moves or is made out of paper, I was working on this issue with her by having a couple of play sessions a day until she broke her toy so its off to the pet store soon to get a new one.
the second issue is that she will scratch and bite sometimes but it all seems to relate back to her energy issue. since she does it less after 15 minutes of play time. other then that I still love this goofy kitten who as I am typing this is attacking her cat tree and plotting the demise of some invisible thing on the ceiling.
But once she settles down she will happily jump on my lap and watch me write which is all I want out of a kitty. so I will put up with her mischief since she makes me so happy.

Melty Way

Yes my dear blog readers I am going to be doing a restaurant review, the first in something I am thinking of doing a lot more of. so first up on my list of restaurants is one of my personal favorites its called Melty Way, home of the grilled cheese gourmet.

Now for those of you that live outside the state of Utah unfortunately you will have to travel to try this place for your self. Melty Way as they put it on the website "home grown in Utah" everything they make is made out of things from Utah this is a list of some examples ( from the melty way website):

• The cheeses are from Schreiber Foods in Logan.

• The soft, fresh bread comes from Stone Ground Bakery in

Salt Lake City.

• The bacon they use is from Daily's in Salt Lake City.

• The honey-sweetened Brigham’s Brew rootbeer is from Wasatch Brewery

in Park City.

• The Apple Beer comes from Holladay.

• And their ice cream is from Farr Russell in Salt Lake City.

One thing that stood out to me about this place after walking in the doors of the American Fork location was that the interior design is like a hipsters paradise the tables and chairs are all made of dark wood with tons of texture with the exposed light bulb fixtures lighting the place. along one of the walls there were some interesting paintings (all about grilled cheese of course) after a little bit of research I found out that all Melty Way locations have art similer to these that are all done by local artist! as an artist myself I thought this was a fantastic idea! if only all local places had the same idea.

Now the first time I went here I wasn't quite sure what to get, but the staff was quite helpful. she gave me the run down of every grilled cheese on the menu along with the combos available, turns out they have soup everyday! Chicken noodle and tomato basil! as a soup lover I always the soup and drink combo with my grilled cheese.

Which brings me to my next subject the actual food. Now I have tried at least three of the grilled cheeses on this menu:

The first one is called the Three Cheese it has, aged cheddar, creamy havarti, and pepper jack, this particular sandwhich is pretty good taste a little more complex then your tipical grilled cheese, but when dipped in the tomato basil soup it makes a great match
the next one is call "The Italian" it is made out of fresh mozzarella, whole milk mozzarella, fresh tomatoes, basil pesto, salt, and pepper. This sandwich was very good the only problem I came across was that this one did not stay together very well. it was very tasty with all of the diffrent flavors working together but if you dipped it in your soup you would end up with bits of mozzarella in your soup and when you take a bite make sure there is something under the sandwich the mozzarella will fall out. I did enjoy the basil pesto it was a very suttle taste but it deffintly makes this sandwich.
The last one I have tried is "The Mediterranean" it consist of: Feta cheese, whole mild mozzarella and bruschetta spred (rosted tomatoes, grilled artichokes, and olives). this is by far my favorite of the three. it stays together very well. and the flavor is kind of hard to explain I would say it almost taste almost like pizza, but as a sandwich. this is definitely one I would recomend to anyone!

There are two options just like most place to get this food to you there is either to stay or to go. either way there is a little bit of a wait, but it is worth it, it is only because they have to make your sandwhich. while you wait you can enjoy the great atmosphere if you take a friend or family it is also quiet enough to enjoy a in depth conversation. if you get the food to stay they will bring you a small plate with your sandwich if you get soup with it the soup will be on this plate as well. I will say this right now, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT start with the soup. since they make everything fresh the soup is very hot, The first time I went here I made this mistake, it just needs a couple of minutes to cool down to the right temperature for consumption. so start with the sandwich. if you get it to go, they wrap up the sandwhichs in nice brown paper and have this decently sized soup bowls that they place in a brown paper bag for you to take with you. be careful driving with this bag, the soup is in a container but if you are to rough with it there is a chance of small spills.

Over 9000!

I just wanted to make a short post to say thank you to all that have been visiting my blog so far and hopefully many more to come as I begin to write more. I looked at my total page views and we just broke 9000! which is amazing to me it seems like just yesterday I wrote about how we hit 200. so once again thank you so much for you continued support. I will be writing some more soon there are some big things going to be happening here soon and will be sure to write about them to let you guys know whats going on. The story of my green hair

As some of you may have noticed in my last post, Yes my hair is green. everyone who has sees my hair asks me how I got it this color. so I thought I would answer all your questions. it was a complete accident!
So I bought some hair dye, this one to be exact:

But seeing as my hair was black, we needed to bleach it before I could dye it blue, so we bleached it. Apparently the bleach that came with this hair dye was not quite strong enough to cover black, after washing the it I ended up with this yellowy blonde color. so then we put the blue dye on and let it sit for a while before washing it out (making the bath tub look like a smurf murder scene) once my hair dried we realized that the yellow mixed with the blue to end up with green. I'm okay with it though I figure I can rock green hair until it needs to be dyed again. and I have also got a some complements on it (along with bragging rights for the fact that my hair has officially been every color except for pink)

New Year And Nuka-Cola

Well it has been far too long my dear followers, but I have returned hopefully with more frequent updates. As for this first update it's a new year, and I know I say this every year but its time for some changes. Hopefully they will be for the better.

make more money with my art.

That is pretty much it.

On a completely different note, to start off this new year I decided to get a kitty. after getting permission from Gram Judy to get a cat and much searching on the internet, I finally found one.

Nuka and me watching Doctor Who

Her name was Tiger Lilly (which is a terrible name for anything) she is a 6 month old Calico. After spending part of my bonus at Petsmart and a 40 minute drive we brought her home to a new bed and a bunch of toys. She adapted much quicker then I expected. After spending a couple hours with her we finally decided on a new name. Her name is Nuka-Cola*. She already comes running to her new name, and is perfectly content to snuggle with me while I watch Doctor Who. I will definitely be
writing about her more and I will be sure to post more pictures of her.

I wasn't feeling very well the day we went and picked her up. As soon as we got home I guess I crashed out on the bed and Nuka decided to come be my mighty protector. Izzie snapped this at some point during my nap.

*For those of you who don't know, Nuka-Cola is the Fallout video game series version of Coca-Cola.

The Conjuring (SPOILER ALERT) and Fish Tacos

     Whoa! Its been a while so I thought I would start my epic come back with a story of this weekend...
   Well for starters I might be up for a promotion at work, not much higher pay but it will help me move up in the company! But enough about that.
   This weekend, Izzie's parents came down for a short visit, in which Izzie's grandma had a long plan set up including lunch and a movie. Of course Izzie got put in charge of lunch, which means she woke me up early on my day off to go to the store and get necessary ingredients for her Wasabi Fish Tacos.

So after speed shopping through the store and driving home we unloaded the various food items into the house. Izzie started prepping the food while I was trying to beat a game on my phone. Once the food was done Izzie's parents, her aunt Stephanie and her uncle Richard showed up and within moments there wasn't a scrap of taco to be found. Once everyone was done inhaling their meal (Stephanie practically consumed an entire tube of wasabi to herself) and socializing we all sat on the couch on our various electronic devices entertaining ourselves while we waited to go to the movie.

Stephanie started reading reviews on it while we were waiting, getting us all amped up with things like "it was so scary I cried" and "everyone should have to get a medical check up before going to see this movie my heart was racing the entire time", so once we got to the movie theater we were all pretty anxious expecting a really scary movie.

****WARNING I MAY ACCIDENTALLY PLACE SPOILERS FROM HERE ON SO IF YOU DO NOT LIKE SPOILERS DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER*********

          At the theater it turned out our seats were in the very last row (to make things "less scary" according to Izzie's grandma). After an agonizing hour of previews the movie finally started. I've got to admit, there were a few parts here and there that made me jump, but that was mainly due to the sound being loud enough to shake the theater every time something scary was about to happen. As a connoisseur of horror movies, this was far more annoying than it was frightening. The worst mistake they made was showing the actual thing antagonizing the family about a quarter of the way through. In my opinion, this ruins the whole thing and decreases the horror factor to null. The climax of the movie begins and ends with an exorcism, which was rather corny and dull. Then everyone lives happily ever after. If you're planning on seeing it, don't take the reviews to heart. It was hardly scary at all, but still a fairly entertaining way to spend an evening.

Hello 3am

So I have recently found myself with a rather chronic case of insomnia as of late. I'm not sure why, some believe it is because I work so late in the day that my body feels like I still have so much to do. But to be honest I have no idea why, all I know is I thibk I figured out the pattern.
    Step1 Bedtime: Lay down get comfy, turn out the lights. Then lay in the dark for a couple hours, feel a little sleepy.
    Step2 One AM: the brain "nope! You are more awake now then you have been all day! " lay there awake for about an hour, now here is where it gets tricky.
              (CHOOSE YOUR ENDING)
Option 1: lay in bed
Option 2: get up

Option 1: you choose to lay in bed and hope for sleep. Fortunately the body finally gives up and lets you sleep, but since the brain disagrees with this, it is a very restless night of tossing and turning, and apparently talking in your sleep.

Option 2: you choose to get up, not a bad choice the brain wants you up anyway. This is a good option to get stuff done while distracting the brain. Like what? You ask well art, writing, internet. But unfortunately my brain is having problems with all these options. So getting up consist of playing games in my phone, and sitting in the living room trying to get out of this deadly art block.
Since these are the typical stages of my insomnia, if anyone has any advice on how to get a decent nights sleep it would be greatly appreciated.

Three months?

So as some of you may have noticed I have been missing since new years. I'm suprised no one came looking for me, haha just kidding. Anyway I have just been really busy these past couple of months. But I now have a portable version of this blog on my cell phone! So hopefully you will get updates more frequently.
To start off these more frequent post I thought I would let you all know that things are looking up finally, after last years stuggles. I found myself a higher paying job, which I will write more about later. I have made some new feiends, and I think thanks to one friend in particular I'm slowly getting over my depressed state of mind and on to bigger and better things. :)
Speaking of better things I am hoping this new job will help me save money for my future goals.
I that is it for this post, trying to get back in the habit of writing again so bare with me.

Hello everyone,
I know I said I would update after Christmas and tell how everything went, to be honest it wasn't to weird just different as I said before. on that note, I hope you all got what you wanted and had some good time with your families.

on another note, last night was New Years eve, I hope you all have a as cheesy as it sounds, safe and fun night, mine was pretty good, had a mini party at Taylor's house, had some pizza, candy and soda. followed by some pretty awesome fireworks. and at midnight we all stood out in the cold of the night and screamed NOOOO!!! into the dark sky, as we heard the echos of our cries it was quickly followed by the boom and crackle of the neighbors fireworks.
So after our night of debauchery that carried on to the wee hours of the morning. it is now New Years Day, the first day of 2013, I have decided to make this year count for something, I want to set some goals and actually accomplish them. also known as new years resolutions. I have thought about a few, some of which won't really apply to the people who read this blog, but I'm going to post them anyway:
1. Be more consist with writing my blog
2. Work on my art more
3. get some art commissions
4. at some point make a trip out to California, to hang out with a friend.

Twas the night before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house not a creature was stirring not even a mouse...well this is just an outright lie. There are several creatures stirring, among these are my family and one quite talkative Chihuahua. That’s right folks its Christmas eve, I know it has been some time since I updated, but I thought a nice Christmas treat would be me finally updating. And you guessed it this is going to be about Christmas, and Christmas traditions.

My Christmas traditions are undergoing some tweaking right now, on account of family members passing, and new people joining our little family. So far the changes have been pretty good, nothing to complain about, just something new to adjust to. Some things that are different this year: the fact that our Christmas tree is right outside of my room, instead of in the front room or basement. We are having Christmas dinner instead of Christmas breakfast. Those are some of the major things, so in the long run not to different. -shrug- we will just have to wait and see how it all plays out tomorrow.

So since I am writing about Christmas and changes, a few of my friends say this Christmas is different for them, is it different for any of you, my readers, I would like to hear your responses, tell me what your Christmas traditions are, what is the same, and what is different. Sorry for such a short blog this evening, I may post another tomorrow, I also have some restaurant reviews up my sleeve so look forward to that.

Survival of the fittest.

The other night as I stood outside and stared up at the night sky I started thinking about life. And about how there are people all over the world who have amazing lives like celebrities and rock stars, and lets all be honest I think all of us had the fantasy growing up that we were going to be famous, but it never happened for most of us. So I started to realize that my life, my blip of an existence can't possibly affect anyone else.
As I sit her pondering this over my morning cup of coffee, it has come to my realization that what we do in life is all because we are trying to survive, some survive better then others like the celebrities, or the rich man that lives on the hill.
Think about it. why do you have that job you hate? to afford food and a place to live, hence the main necessities to support human life, then that is usually followed by producing more human life, then the cycle continues, so in short survival is what drives human beings. I know some of you will disagree and say love and family does. love and family are like rewards for surviving. so go and enjoy time with your kids, your spouse, or extended family while you can. you never know what could happen, and I know its cheesy and cliche but live everyday like its your last.
Just because you are an average joe does not mean your life has to be boring and ordinary. My challenge to you is at least once a day I want you do something you would normally never do, if your life is boring, make it interesting, spice up your life.

This morning I woke up around 9am. for no apparent reason. naturally I reached over to check my phone, once I opened Facebook and started scrolling through status updates, I found some rather upsetting news, which I will write about in a couple days when I figure out how to put it into words. Anyway to keep my mind off of this news Izzie suggested going to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving point, mind you this has been five minutes away since we have lived here, but this is the first time we decided to go there.
I agreed to go because I LOVE DINOSAURS! I can't even explain how much I love them, I always have. I don't know why but they are awesome! I took a ton of pictures so this is mostly going to be a picture filled blog for your enjoyment, a more life filled blog is being written so look forward to that as well.

You let me fall behind again, how dare you! I'm just kidding it is mostly my fault I couldn't think of anything to write. I am in quite a bad block, and not just a writing block, I am just uninspired. I think I need to go somewhere and do something to get the juices flowing again. Here is a small life update just because I have been lazy:

First, I got a job! I am now working at Jo-Ann craft and fabric! which so far I love it, I am only on the floor about once a week other then that I am on the stocking crew, which means I my little 5' 3" self unload the trucks every Monday morning at six am then try to get all of the things from the truck on to the floor within 48 hours of unloading. I know that sounds like a lot of work, which it is, but it is also tons of fun! I enjoy it a lot more then you would think, even though I have been made fun of a few times for being short.

in other news it is quite difficult to type this blog right now, because one day while I was working at the fabric cutting counter as a closer I apparently hurt my wrist. it felt fine while I was working and after work I went home and crawled into bed, when I woke up in the morning my wrist was slightly swollen and it hurt to move it. Izzie put ice on it and wrapped it in an ace bandage until we could get me a hard brace which is what I am wearing now. it still hurts a bit, but is doing better everyday.

No more cat

Vibram FiveFingers KSO - Men's - Blue In Size: 46The day after I wrote my last blog was crazy, so crazy apparently it has taken three days for me to decide to tell you about it.
First thing on Sunday morning, I woke up early not able to sleep any more, I was on my computer checking my sites, when Odie's old owner showed up and caused a ruckus upstairs.
While we were trying to wrangle the kids we found a large puddle in the basement, soon followed by the discovery that the window well had flooded from the sprinkler. of course my helpful personality I went outside to find out what to do about it, the water had stopped filling the window well but was flooding the grass, so I pulled the lid off the sprinkler box to turn it off, where I almost got bitten by a large gray spider. I threw the lid back on the box and started trying to find a way to bail the water out of the window. Izzie told me to quit and just wait until her grandpa got home to take care of it. which made me feel useless, I know I could have done it it just felt like she didn't think so. once her grandpa got home he bailed out the water and we spent some time mopping up the water in the basement.
so once that was resolved and after watching the kids run about the house their mom showed up and said "okay lets go." so her and the kids went to lunch and a movie leaving Izzie and I alone in the house for a couple hours then they came back and said they had to go home. oh and they are taking the cat with them. After rounding up all of the stuff we had for the cat they took him with them.
It upset me more then I thought it would. I mean we only had the cat for a week. but after owning him for that week I have decided owning a cat would be fantastic.
on another note, I have a goal for this year. as I have mentioned I am a huge Green Day fan and they are releasing a trilogy this year, my goal is to be in the same shape as Billie Joe Armstrong by the time the tour rolls around to Utah.

To accomplish this I have been jogging a mile every morning at 8am. wearing my Vibriam Five Fingers! which are amazing shoes! I also have been trying to make healthier food choices. I will be sure to update you on my progress.

A Cat?

remember forever ago when I wrote about how the house was haunted and I wanted a cat to protect me but everyone was like no! Well Steph couldn't take her cat to the new house because it cost money that she doesn't have. So we acquired a cat, his name id Odie! We like to call him Rodiers, Rodie, or oders! He was freaked out when we first got him, but we think he is finally warming up to us and the basement we also bought him a new collar with cool gears on it, and a new tag.

So for some back story, I have NEVER personally owned a cat in my life. my mom was horribly allergic to them so I was never allowed to have one, Izzie has owned lots of cats, so she is helping me understand how cats work.

As for now I have decided that Odie is an evil mastermind, his day usually starts off with jumping on top of me and meowing over and over again until I wake up or pet him enough to satisfy his need for attention. then after falling out of bed he walks around my feet until I either trip over him or discover that some how during the night his food has been sucked into a black hole. so I refill it and he scurries off to do whatever it is cats do that early in the morning. during the day he always seems to find the comfiest looking spot and he flops down and sleeps ALL DAY. until about nine, then for some reason he just runs back and forth across the basement chasing invisible things.

the other day I was cleaning out his litter box and while I'm over there panning for smelly brown gold he trotted over and hovered over me watching my every move. once I cleaned it all out and filled it with new litter he walked over and sniffed the box and climbed inside where soon after he shit in it again.

All in all owning a cat has been pretty interesting, I like when he cuddles and sits next to me while I work on my blog, some small things are evil but still good. also he is really pretty.

Oh! and we acquired a fish! we call him Ickus!

So yesterday was really boring, mostly me playing Facebook games waiting for a job to call me back. so I started playing Tetris. after about two rounds for some reason my eye produced a tear that started running down my face, there was no emotion to this tear, my eyes are just saying I don't want to play Tetris anymore.

Today however was still rather boring, but tonight I decided to be a nice person and make dinner for everybody, so I made avocado mac and cheese. Which last time was quite successful. According to Izzie this time turned out even better then last, because I kind of knew what I was doing. but I personally think that the avocado was a little strong.

So after dinner we wandered back downstairs to the dungeon, and once my foot touched the last step my stomach started hurting, more then it has in a long time. so for the past two hours I have been laying on the mattress wrapped in a fuzzy blanket, trying to figure out if I'm going to throw it all up or if it will pass on it's own if I lay here long enough, so far it seems like it is going to go away, but I have yet to change into my pajamas. so we will have to wait and see what happens I will be sure to update you.

After I wrote this post we met up with our old friend drewbie. we went to I hop, I was still not feeling to good. it was recommended to me by my friend to eat crackers with some sprite. so as soon as we sat at the table I flipped over the menu to see if I could find sprite. but they only had Pepsi products so I ordered some Mountain Dew. once the waitress came by to take orders, Drew and Izzie ordered what they wanted and when she came to me I was unsure how to go about it but I said "Can I just get a bowl of crackers." which caused this once rushed waitress to pause then she responded with "okay." then took off. around the restaurant. after a moment she came back with a huge bowl of saltine crackers. which I ate happily even with the strange looks Izzie kept giving me.
once we left there and headed back home I was feeling quite a bit better. so conclusion to this story, I don't think I'm going to eat avocado for a while. I don't know why it was such a bad experience this time I normally love avocado.

Pride 2012

So, I slacked off again, I guess I really didn't have much to write about. life was pretty much the same everyday.

Until late last night, and when I say late I mean it was 2 in the morning, me and Izzie were sitting in the basement just chatting it up, when my phone rang, I looked at the screen and it was Quincella I got excited but I was confused as to why he was calling me at two in the morning. anyway, to make a long phone conversation short, "Hey Billie, guess what! I'm going to pride and guess who is coming with me?"

"me?" I asked

"Yup! I will be at your house at 8 am. Okay? good night love you bye bye!" Quin replied quickly.

Pride other wise known as Utah Gay Pride Festival. I had never attended it before, Quincy had a few times and told me how wonderfully amazing it was. When he said I was going with him this year I got all excited, but not sure what I am suppose to wear.

This morning Quin called me at 7am. so I fell out of bed and threw together a decent looking outfit, a brightly colored shirt some baggy TRIPP pants my red converse. I fixed my hair and waited for Quincy. Once he made his way down here we were on our way.
When we arrived in downtown SLC it was super busy filled with people, most of them wearing something rainbow. after fighting with the traffic Quin finally gave up and decided to use the underground library parking when we drove down there, a lady was standing by the gate to take parking money the first thing she said was "this machine is full of lies so I'm going to let you pass and you pay me when you leave alright?" Quin nodded and found us a parking spot.

Then we climbed up some stairs to the street and started the long trek to the other side of SLC. for the parade. there were tons of people there for it. we ended up sitting on a guard rail that was near the road. after watching the parade for a while one of the strangers that was sitting next to me started talking to me he was a very flamboyant drunk queen. he was very excited about life and was talking to me the whole time.

once the parade was over we walked all the way back to the grounds where the festival was being held. we started walking around and picked up some food bought some souvenirs. and socialized with everyone there. it was amazing, everyone was so friendly and open accepting. for some reason a lot of people had dogs with them too. me and Izzie did some people watching and some dog shopping. Oh! and there was this scan the code scavenger hunt going on, and I decided to go for it. I found them all and I got a $10 gift certificate and a magnet for it.

So by the end of the day I ended up with: a pair of awesome rainbow angel wings, a magnet, a tank top, a fortune fish, a sticker, a temporary tattoo, a snow cone. I was very pleased with myself.

That pretty much sums up my amazing day! I can't wait for next year! I want to make this and annual thing if at all possible!

So after about 8 hours out in the sun all day walking about, I'm gonna take a shower then go to bed, GOOD NIGHT!

UPDATE!!! I forgot to tell you, right after I bought my angel wings we were sitting on a bench and I was wearing them waiting for Quincy to come back, and this guy came up and put his hand on my sholder and said "hey angel, why do you look so sad?"

I replied with "nothing, I'm just out of money."

"well don't be sad angel, because your from heaven and your better then that." he said as he smiled and walked away, it made me feel really good, it made me smile. so Random stranger if you read this, thank you for lifting my spirit, and raising my self esteem when it has been down in the dirt lately.

There is a Spider on the celing

So ealier today there was a spider on the wall I told Koense to kill it but he was all like "no way" now it is on the ceiling coming towards me and I told Izzie to kill it she said "how am I suppose to reach it? with my Go-Go-Gadget arm?"
"yes!" I hissed from my corner where I was writing my blog. about three minutes later Koense returned from the bathroom and I said "look there is a spider KILL IT!"
"let me just whip out my Mr. Incredible powers and reach it then." he said.
"fine I'm gonna blog about it so there." was my reply. "and I think your pizza is burning"
"PIZZA!" as he ran into the kitchen to save the burning pizza.
So to close this short little story here is a story of the evil spider.

UPDATE: it has been exactly a week since we saw the spider, and before leaving Koense's house tonight Izzie smashed a spider, but we are not sure if it was THE spider or one of its clone army.

why the elbow?

There are times that I laugh so hard that no sound comes out. and Izzie has so loving deemed that me being "broken" normally it doesn't happen very often. but it has happened twice this month. so we have decided that I need a software update and my twenty one year check up because this keeps happening.
So, I missed a couple days worth of blogging, I'm sorry I told you guys to remind me to write but guess who didn't keep up their end of the deal....
Yesterday was pretty sweet we decided to go see Dark Shadows by Tim burton with johnny depp. and by We I mean me and Izzie and koense of course. It was freaking amazing! as in I was amazed and amused by this movie. I highly recommend going to see it. especially if you are into old school vampires. it is definitely not a kids movie though.I have also decided I am going to make cosplay of Barnabus to go with Izzie's Lastat and we are going to be vampires together forever!

now my elbow hurts...why? you ask well while I was sitting here writing this blog Koense walked over and said "are you blogging?" and I put my screen out of his vision
"yes and there is nothing you can do to stop me." I said
"and I can't read it?" he asked
"nope, you have to wait." I said then he closed my laptop
"now what." he said laughing manically(I don't know if that is spelled correctly my dictionary is broken) to himself.
"nothing, it automatically saves every time I stop typing." I said
"well I wasted your time." he said before returning to his cooking. then I opened my laptop and banged my elbow on the table at the same time. I don't know how I accomplished this but I did. so now my elbow hurts and it is all your fault Koense.
Today I accomplished 1 thing and that is becoming friends with John Roecker on Facebook! I don't know how many of you know who he is, but I think he is an amazing man, strange but amazing. he makes me want to become a film maker. but that is another goal for another day.

2+2=6

        So today was spent cleaning mostly. and putting away my Scentsy stuff. I spent all of today in my pajamas until about four then I felt like I should quit being a bum and got dressed, last thing I need is Izzie's grandpa coming home to find me on the couch in my purple and pink kitty cat pajamas.
        Speaking of Izzie. there is this game that has been around for a while called LIMBO it was made for the Xbox but Izzie recently downloaded a PC version of it, and now she is stuck in LIMBO and I don't know if I'm ever going to get her out. I tried by telling her I was gonna play Fallout3 to distract her, but she was like no. oh well, she will get bored eventually.
        Roommate update: so we have now changed Troll mans name to Vampire Troll man, since we only see him leave at night. Hawkeye is still pretty awesome. as far as Drunk Asian man. I mentioned Drunk Asian man has a weird friend we shall call him weird redneck. anyway Drunk and Redneck I guess had a sleepover at koense's house, which is against their contract. so Hawkeye is very upset by all this. weird redneck keeps talking about trying to stay here too. which I don't think Hawkeye is going to let Drunk Asian man stay very long because of all this, just saying.
        and on a better note I bet you are all wondering about this confusing title, well...we were sitting in the basement talking and the fat man told me my pony math was off and if they were numbers that would be 2+2=6.

Why so many spaces?

     Blargh! that was me trying to say Blog but my brain decided to have a stroke and I died. Now I'm a zombie and all I mumble about it brains, which I'm sure doesn't make me a very good conversationalist (big word for a zombie) but whatever its cool bro.
Anyway...now that we have established that Zombies can apparently use computers and big words, decided it was time for another rambling blog from me. this one shall be about Roommates, unreliable people, and the Tab key.
     so I don't know how many of you that read my blog actually write blogs but the fact that you can't use the tab key while typing on Blogger is the one pet peeve I have about this site. in order to make an indent to start a new paragraph I have to use the space bar about three to four times. So I'm typing along minding my own business and decide that "wow this paragraph is to long" ENTER. cursor moves down TAB...nothing happens, of course since apparently I have the memory of a sick squirrel it takes a moment for me to realize the SPACE SPACE SPACE and resume typing. Just thought I would mention it to those of you who enjoy reading blogs, if the ones you read have proper indentation of the paragraphs you better appreciate that extra three seconds of effort the author put in for your reading pleasure ENJOY IT!
      what was next oh yeah unreliable people, You know when you make plans with someone months in advance and you remind them constantly about these plans. then when the day finally arrives and you have put hours of preparation and work into this event. then the person you made the plans with is like "No, I have to cancel because I forgot we had that thing." I mean yeah it's okay if something came up that was important, but if they forget to do their half of the preparation it destroys it for everyone else. sorry, frustrated blogging. bad don't do it!
     lastly Room mates, now this is not about my Room mates as you all know the only one I have is Izzie, but recently Koense moved into a house with some room mates, I have never really been in this atmosphere before but I find it quite interesting. So when Koense moved in it was just him and this guy we will call him Hawkeye, because when he comes out of his room from playing his games he is always wearing a robe (if anyone other then me remembers M.A.S.H. he is a gaming nerd with black subaru WRX sti. so it was chill he is really nice, then he said they were getting a new room mate that is renting the entire basement which includes a bedroom, office,bathroom. just for him. and I guess he works from home. we have dubbed him Troll man AKA cave dweller, the only time he comes out of the basement is for food, which is rare occasion. When he leaves it seems like no one sees him leave his car just disappears. For those that play WOW I call him Mage Troll. then there is Koense which I have told you about. then tonight third room mate moved in, we don't know him very well yet, but from what I can tell he drinks beer, and he is Asian so for now he shall be called drunk Asian man.
