Thing is, the law of attraction works with all the other universal laws and one of those is CAUSE and EFFECT. You have to produce a cause to get an effect.

3. Everyday, take one action to move closer to your dreams. If every single day, you took at least one action towards manifesting your desires, eventually it would have to manifest. So, make it a point to take even the smallest of actions when you can. The law of attraction is all about taking action. Those that tell you otherwise would also probably want you to buy beachfront property…in Nebraska!

The law of attraction is REAL and it does work. However, you have to find the law of attraction tips that produce real results and ignore the ones that just don’t work at all.

Pirates of the Caribbean

Again this might be more suitable for the slightly older kids, but the adults will love it too! This stars Johnny Depp as the unforgettable Captain Jack Sparrow and is an adventure right from the start. With pirates and treasure the action really never stops, and the great thing is that there are already 3 of these films to keep your family occupied for hours!

Disney Films

There are too many Disney cartoons to list them all here, but they are a sure fire hit with kids of all ages. Whether your little girl wants to be a princess, or your little boy wants to be a pirate you can choose a film to suit their tastes and to keep them happy for hours. These are great fun for the whole family, and include some really classics that are still just as charming today as they were when they were made.

Spy Kids

For a non-cartoon film to watch how about Spy Kids? Again there are a number of releases in the series of Spy Kids movies, which is great for kids who love to watch films! You might find that these films are pretty ridiculous, but the kids absolutely love it, and it is great if you don’t have time to sit down and watch it with them!

As you can see there are plenty of great films that can please both kids and adults, and can suit different ages of kids. It is always great to be able to sit your child down in front of a good movie and not worry about what they are seeing. There are plenty more, but for now your child should have nothing to complain about!

Hill was an archetypal American. That led to many critics and detractors pointing out that only USA could ever be successful. according to Hill. He believed freedom, democracy, capitalism, and social harmony to be essential elements to his philosophy. He claimed that without these socio-political foundations, successful personal achievement is not possible. He compared this philosophy with others and thought that his was superior. He felt that it was responsible for the success Americans enjoyed for the previous two centuries.

Negative emotions such as fear, selfishness and so on, had no part to play in his philosophy. Hill considered those emotions to be the source of failure for unsuccessful people so that it was their own faults for not thinking like Americans. In this sense, Hill’s formula for success has a psycho-religious basis similar to the Hindu worship of the goddess Laxmi. Think these thoughts; perform these rituals each day; hold these beliefs; change your attitude towards things that happen; expect to be rich and successful. It is as if he is saying, "You can be rich and successful only if you believe the things I believe."

Hill did not tackle the more difficult problem that most [not all] rich and famous Americans came from rich and famous dynasties. They had taken advantage of the new continent in the 18th and 19th centuries, dispossessed the native tribal peoples, denuded the landscape and brought animal species to extinction, owned slaves, paid minimum wages to their labourers, and had taken big risks with other people’s money.

Hill was very much influenced by Andrew Carnegie. Carnegie was also impressed with Hill and asked him to interview or analyse over 500 successful men and women, many of them millionaires, in order to discover and publish this "formula for success."

As part of that research, Hill interviewed many of the most famous people of the time, including Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, George Eastman, Henry Ford, Elmer Gates, John D. Rockefeller, Sr., Charles M. Schwab, F.W. Woolworth, William Wrigley Jr., John Wanamaker, William Jennings Bryan, Theodore Roosevelt, William H. Taft and Jennings Randolph. Hill was also an advisor to two presidents of the United States of America; Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D Roosevelt.

But here I was very lucky as I go the work done with this software. The program was pretty simple, easily downloadable, and comfortable to work and the steps were demonstrated in detail.

Most people don’t do all the steps as they equate it to work, pain and waiting. Another problem is that our current science has found a way that they can measure it. Does that make it any less true and effective? No.

Are you one of those people who consider yourself “computer savvy?” Maybe you would rather call yourself “technology challenged.” Either way, I can help you through the process of creating your very own custom home movie in a very fun way. I will walk you through the step by step process of organizing, editing and producing your own DVD movie.

Step One:

The first step is the most important. You need to collect all your pictures and videos that you want to use in your movie. While doing that, you should be thinking about what theme you want your movie to be. For example: you may want to do your child’s birthday in which case you want to collect all the pictures and videos from that event. I always make an annual family movie to share with our friends and relatives so every January I collect all the pictures and videos of the previous year for my movie.

Step Two:

Now you have all your pictures and videos that you would like to use for your movie. If you have any videos that are on outdated technology like 8mm or VHS, you will need to have them “transferred” to DVD. You can use a web service to do this for you and it’s very inexpensive. Also, if your pictures have not been scanned into the computer, you need to scan them in or send them out to have that done for you.

Step Three:

When you have everything on a disc, you can begin the editing process. You should find a movie editing program that you can use easily. Some operating systems have movie editing programs built in. When you begin to make your movie, take time to think about how you want to tell the story. For example: if you wanted to do a movie on your child’s life you might want to start with your pregnancy pictures or maybe the sonogram. If you sent out birth announcements, you could have the main screen be the announcement.

Be prepared to spend several hours in this step. The editing process will be the most time-consuming because you have to organize everything and be mindful of your timeline. If you don’t want an extremely long movie, there will be some pictures or video clips that don’t make it in the movie. This is why organizing everything beforehand is so important. You will have to stop and come back to the project several times. Don’t expect to have the editing done in an hour. It will most likely take you at least 5 hours to ensure that you end up with a high-quality final product.

The next thing to consider is background music. The best movies have the perfect background music. For example, my last family movie featured an introduction to the family and I selected “We are Family” by Sister Sledge. It was great because it was upbeat and lots of fun.

Making a custom movie takes time and it is a creative process so ask other people to view your movie before you finalize it. Sometimes you get so used to looking at the movie, you can overlook small mistakes that others will see more clearly. The final thing you need to do is save your movie as an AVI file. AVI stands for Audio Video Interleaved and is commonly used in many programs for audio video projects.

Step Four:

With your final movie saved as an avi file, you now need to put in onto a DVD. Sounds easier said than done right? First you need to research programs that do “DVD Authoring.” DVD authoring describes the process of creating a DVD video that can be played on a DVD player. Select a program that says user-friendly or easy-to-use. Once you have your software you can begin to make your DVD. You can choose to have a DVD menu or just an auto-play movie which will automatically start the movie once it’s inserted into your DVD player. You need to buy blank DVD’s and cases. It’s nice to buy cases because you can properly store your DVD’s without fear of them getting scratched and also so you can give them to your friends and family. Your local Office Depot or Staples will have blank DVD’s and cases for you to choose from. Keep in mind that the more you buy, the better the price. Instead of sending Christmas cards out this year, you can send your loved ones copies of your brand new custom movie on a DVD. How impressive!

I was moved the first time I saw in in 1989.  It still was moving to me, as I watched it again, just last week,  for what must have been the 1,000th time. 

Field Of Dreams goes beyond the feel good, stand up and cheer as the featured team exits the field, diamond, court or ice reaching the pinnacle of their sport.  There are only so many of those that I can stomach, before I get physically sick. 

But it is the quintessential stand up and cheer movie as the featured player, Ray Kinsella, can finally have a game of catch with his deceased father. 

It is a movie filled with all sorts of atonements.  It is a movie about people rebuilding lost relationships.  It is a movie about people following their faith and being rewarded for it, even in the face of public ridicule and scorn. 

“If you build it, HE will come” has become not only the main premise of the movie, but also it has become a catch phrase of the ages.  The faceless voice that whispers to Kinsella in his Iowa corn field, sets him on a journey to recover a lost relationship with his father.  Along the way, he is also able to “ease his pain”, the pain of a 1960’s radical leader who grew up following the Brooklyn Dodgers and after their move to Los Angeles, lost his love for the game and threw himself into the self-righteous movements and causes of the ’60s era.   He was also able to “go the distance”, in allowing an aged, small town Minnesota doctor, to fulfill his dream and have an official Major League at bat, 17 years after he died. 

Field of Dreams is NOT a baseball movie.  There are no game winning home runs.  There are no steals of second.  No-hitters won’t be found.  It’s a movie about human redemption that just so happens to come together and happened on a baseball diamond, in the middle of an Iowa corn field. 

The film came out at a time when actor Kevin Costner was coming off another anti-baseball movie in Bull Durham, and a few years before he hit the big time awards movie and his opus in Dances with Wolves.  He brilliantly portrayed Kinsella as a ’60s liberal revolutionary, who grew up to do the conservative thing and become a farmer.   With the help of his wife “Annie” (Amy Madigan) and daughter “Karin” (Gaby Hoffman), he had seemingly settled down into his new found life, working to get the corn crops and provide for his familiys existence.

Along the way, we find out that his late father was a huge baseball fan, in particular, a “Shoeless” Joe Jackson fan.   To get back at his father during his rebellious teen years, he insulted his father by insulting his favorite player, calling Jackson a “criminal” and setting in motion a series of events that led Kinsella to plow down about 3 acres of his crop, to build a baseball diamond and allow “Shoeless’ Joe to return to the field (after he had been banned from baseball after being found guilty of throwing the 1919 world series).

The relationship with his father had become so strained that “Having a game of catch had become a chore, like mowing the lawn or taking out the trash” and set up the movies final scene, when John Kinsella returned to his sons field of dreams, to have that final game of catch and repair their relationship.  The regret of Ray Kinsella was brilliantly displyed in the line “The son-of-a-bitch died before I could take it back” (”it” being the insult he hurled at his father about Jackson being a criminal).

After building the field and getting to meet Jackson (Ray Liotta) on it, the voice reappears, telling Ray to “ease his pain”, which turned out to be the pain of writer Terrance Mann’s (James Earl Jones) lost love of baseball.  The voice sent Kinsella from Iowa to Boston to take Mann to a Red Sox game, where the voice tells them to “go the distance” to Chism, Minnesota, to look up a former ball player, Archie “Moonlight” Graham (Burt Lancaster/Frank Whaley), who fit into the story because he once had the opprotunity to become a major league player, but through a series of events, made his own legacy in small town America by becoming a doctor instead. 

As the movie began to wind down, we had all of the participants in place.  Kinsella, Mann and Graham (who appeared as a young ball player, hitchhiking his way to find a team to play for and being picked up by Kinsella and Mann, who were returning to the Iowa farm) return to Iowa.

It set up what has to be, the greatest soliloquy since Hamlet’s “To be or not to be”.  James Earl Jones spoke it in response to Ray being pressured to give up the farm because that baseball field was costing them too much money to keep.  From the mind of his 6 year old daughter, who came up with the idea that people would pay to see this field, it set up Jones’ imortal words: 

“People will come, Ray.

They’ll come to lowa, for reasons they can’t even fathom. They’ll turn up your
driveway, not knowing for sure why they’re doing it. They’ll arrive at your door,
as innocent as children, longing for the past.

People will come, Ray. People will most definitely come.”

That scene in itself beats any walk off home run scene ever created.

20 years later, I can blame Field of Dreams for my complete disinterst in the
game of baseball. The movie is about the purity of the game, not the prima
donnas who play it. It about bringing fathers and sons together, not game
winning touch down catches. Its about a love affair for the game. Its about
altering lives.

But it also strikes a spiritual chord. Its about faith. Its about following
through with something completely illogical and finding a reward for doing
so. It cares less about the action on the field rather than the lives it
touches off the field. The film showed that the game was the magnet, and
the people were the individuals who were attracted to it.

Is it heaven?  No! It’s Iowa.  But maybe, it is Heaven.

The film is still perfect!
