To all the George Baileys out there, I’d love to wish you a Happy Holiday season. I’ve watched It’s A Wonderful Life ever since I was a kid. And I will take this movie tradition with me and make it a tradition with my children and family. Basically, It’s a movie that tells us all that whether we know it or not, we all have made a difference in the lives of people. And we all can make a difference. It’s the unselfish character of George Bailey that has made this movie a true tradition. The sacrifices at George makes to help the people of Bedford Falls. George forgoes his schooling to head the Billing and Loans after his father dies, and he sends his brother to college. Circumstance upon circumstance forces George to stay in Bedford falls instead of pursuing his dream to be an Architect… After a mishap and misplacement of money to be deposited, George goes into a wild tailspin of running around seemingly lost and crazy… After asking for help from God, George finds himself on a bridge about to commit suicide, but an Angel by the name of Clarence jumps into the water, so that George can save him… In the process of saving Clarence, George doesn’t commit suicide. In the guard house where they clean and dry themselves off, George goes into a rant and wishes he’d never been born… and so the plot goes, that George and Clarence goes around “Potttersville” and sees how bad the town would have been if George were not born… George finally realizes that his life is important and everything goes back to normal, as George runs around through the streets of Bedford Falls and heads to his home… where a Christmas Miracle awaits him… People come in droves after hearing of George’s plight, and individual by individual they pile money on the table.. people whom George has helped with his compassionate giving… His old buddy wires in 25K and there is literally a whole pile of cash on the table… George’s brother arrives from the war, after receiving his medal of honor, and declares a toast “To George, the richest man in town”.. The crowd inside the house bursts into joyous singing of “Auld Lang Syne”, and George sees a book atop the pile of money — Tom Sawyer — and inside the inscriptions… Dear George:Remember no man is a failure who has friends. Thanks for the wings!LoveClarence. The movie ends, as a bell rings on the Christmas Tree, and Zuzu says to George, “Teacher says ‘Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.’”… George replies, “That’s right”, looks up, and says, “atta boy, Clarence,”…. Remember, my dear friends, your life is worth more than anything else on this earth. What you do with your life should be spent helping others. What we are is God’s gift to us… What we become is our gift to God.. I hope this Christmas, you realize that life is all about giving, and that your life is precious… it truly is A Wonderful Life…

I like to watch Figure Skating. I think Figure skating is a really beautiful sport to watch. It’s ballet on ice, art in motion, and the skaters themselves are the epitome of dedicated. My best-friend’s sister was a figure skater when she was little, and I can tell you the hours that it takes is grueling alongside having to go to school… Grace under pressure is always to be admired especially during competition. 3.
I think I have a new crush, and she just happens to be the winner of the recently held Lebanese singing contest, “Star Academy”, it what seems like a combination of the shows, “Big Brother” and “American Idol”. The object of my affection, as well as the affection of the Iraqi people, is Shada Hassoun. Families had been gathered in front of television sets across Iraq every Friday night for four months cheering on one of their own. Hasoon won the competition with 7 million votes coming in via telephone and text messages from across the Middle East. The cheering crossed sectarian lines. In the northern — and Kurdish — city of Irbil and neighborhoods packed with Iraqi exiles in Amman, families took to the streets, cheering and waving flags. This beautiful lady, with the voice of an angel, was born in Cassablanca, Morocco, and studied in Paris. But, despite never having been to Iraq, she embraced Iraq with all of her heart, and all of her soul. And in return, Iraq, chose to embrace her. She had made Friday’s finals, and a public vote, sent via cell phone, would decide her fate. And so Iraqis everywhere were in a Shada frenzy this week — causing many to observe that, win or lose, Hassoun, 26, who professes to love jet-skiing and Antonio Banderas, had managed to engender a sense of national cohesion that has eluded Iraq for years.A week ago, she garnered 54.8 percent of the global vote, which sent her into the finals and jubilant Iraqis into the streets.By Friday evening, unofficial results showed Hassoun in the lead. Al-Sharqiya’s curly-haired anchor implored Iraqis to cast their votes for the “daughter of Mesopotamia.”By 11:30 p.m., the four finalists had sung and danced for the last time on the show. They stood in a line on the stage, Hassoun in a sparkly blue halter dress. The crowd was silent. Finally, the results popped up on the screen: With 40 percent, Hassoun was the winner. Looking at the many performances of Shada, I like the following the best.

And so Iraqis everywhere were in a Shada frenzy this week — causing many to observe that, win or lose, Hassoun, 26, who professes to love jet-skiing and Antonio Banderas, had managed to engender a sense of national cohesion that has eluded Iraq for years.
A week ago, she garnered 54.8 percent of the global vote, which sent her into the finals and jubilant Iraqis into the streets.
By Friday evening, unofficial results showed Hassoun in the lead. Al-Sharqiya’s curly-haired anchor implored Iraqis to cast their votes for the “daughter of Mesopotamia.”
By 11:30 p.m., the four finalists had sung and danced for the last time on the show. They stood in a line on the stage, Hassoun in a sparkly blue halter dress. The crowd was silent.
Finally, the results popped up on the screen: With 40 percent, Hassoun was the winner.

Looking at the many performances of Shada, I like the following the best.

Victor Wooten is one of the most amazing bass guitar players that I have ever heard. In the following video, he combines one of the most powerful inspirational songs, “Amazing Grace“, with his beautiful bass solo, and the result is well.. Amazing! The most amazing facts about Victor was that he learned how to play bass when he was just three years old, being taught by his brother Regi. He is among five brothers, who made up a band which played for many years around their hometown. His professional career started in Nashville, grew in Nashville, and is still strong now in Nashville. He’s been touring for years with several bands, the more mainstream would probably be Dave Matthews Band You can learn more about Victor Wooten on his website.

The following is part of a writing project that I am participating in. As you may know, I’m an avid blog reader myself, and I am amazed at the blogs that inspire me from day to day. But once in a while, I come upon some really annoying blogs. So in the spirit of sarcasm on steroids, I thought I’d give you “Top 5 Ways To Be An Annoying Blogger“. 1. Copy other peoples contents Oh yes, if you want to be the most annoying blogger out there and your heroes are those scumbag splogs and scrapers that proliferate the internet, then copying other peoples contents is definitely the best way to go. 2. Be inconsistent with the quantity of posts This is a great idea that will definitely get you on the most annoying bloggers list. So here it is — all you have to do is post nothing for a day or two, then hit your RSS subscribers and your loyal readers with a flood of posts, maybe 5 or 10, or why not go for the jackpot and post 20 posts at once. This is a sure fire way to get bumped out of any blog parties that you were going to attend. 3. Blog about the most mundane things you did during the day. Ever read those blogs that talk about drying paint or their favorite pencil? If you have, then you have certainly found a gem in the world of annoying bloggers. Another good example of an annoying blogger writing about yet another mundane topic would be — “I just ate some toast this morning, and oh I love toast” 4. Don’t Read Copyblogge He’s way too nice of a writer to become annoying. If you truly want to become an annoying blogger, and I know you do, then you must fight the urge to spell right, make your sentences grammatically correct, or even try to write in a cohesive manner. In short, do not read Copyblogger! You have the write to be umgratical. 5. Don’t link Why should you help out your readers? When you talk about an article, do you really need to link to that article, your views should suffice right? If you want to be an annoying blogger, then write and don’t provide relevant links, too much information is bad for society. It only enlightens them even more, and enlightened minds will never read an annoying blogger’s blog. DISCLAIMER Now obviously, the just mentioned tips on how you can become an annoying blogger was done in a sarcastic tone. If you truly want to be a great blogger, you may want to avoid these tips and do the opposite. In the end, being an annoying blogger is a lonely road. So if you treasure your personal life and having friends, try not to be annoying. Your readers will thank you for it. This post is part of the Top 5 writing project that Darren is running. So if you are an avid blog reader, then this week is gong to keep you busy
