In 1999, in Sierra Leone, the fisherman Solomon Vandy dreams on the day that his young son Dia Vandy will become a doctor. His dreams are shattered when the rebels invade his village and kidnap him to work in the diamond mines. Solomon finds a huge pink diamond and while hiding it, the commandant of the rebels sees, but the rebels are attacked and Salomon is arrested by the government army. While in jail, the wounded commandant tell the prisoners that Salomon found the stone, and the mercenary smuggler Danny Archer from Zimbabwe releases Salomon and proposes to exchange the diamond by his missing family. Using the idealistic American journalist Maddy Bowen, Danny locates the wife and daughters of Salomon in a refugee camp, but is informed that his son has been recruited by the rebels. Salomon and Danny consolidate a partnership, with Salomon looking for and finding his son, and Danny looking for the diamond and finding redemption.

Silly but hillarious at the same time, those are the first impressions you’ll get after watching a new British movie Run Fat Boy, Run. Starring popular Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz), the story circle around a little dumb guy who divorces with the girl of his dreams just to later realize he really loves her. Expect a little special kind of humor, typical for British movies. However, the release is just TERRIBLE, nuked multiple times (overcropped, out of sync, bad ar), the image quality sucks really hard (filmed by cellphone or what?) and it’s not even possible to watch it. That’s was a very lame attempt n00(bs)x. Let’s wait for something more serious…

The Bands Visit

A very spectacular movie appeared today in a nice dvd screener from HLS. The Band’s Visit or “Bikur Ha-Tizmoret” is an Israeli movie which was premiered at Cannes and already received 10 film awards so far and secures an insane-high IMDB rating of 8.2/10. Audio is partially English, but mostly Arabic or Hebrew, so you will really appreciate included English subtitles.

An Egyptian band gets stranded in a nowhere Israeli desert town in “The Band’s Visit,” a warm and delightful take on cross-cultural relations that proves that sometimes a light touch is just what’s needed to address serious topics. Novice helmer Eran Kolirin has a playful eye for compositions and a fine touch with thespers, occasionally playing on the borders of cute but reining in before going to the wrong side of sentiment. An audience charmer that’s sure to sweep Israel — and Egypt too if allowed to open — offshore arms will be more than welcoming.

I personally haven’t heard of this group before but what matters is the fact that they have managed to release a DVDRip of Pirates of the Caribbean At Worlds End a whole 2 months before the Retail release date. A fairly interesting (it already won 11 movie awards) horror comedy Fido is now available in limited dvdrip from group SAPHiRE. The movie starring Carrie-Anne Moss in the main role mixes a really black comedy elements with scary horror-like scenes, zombies included. Just released to cinemas 2 days ago, The heartbreak Kid is a new romantic comedy film starring Ben Stiller, Michelle Monaghan and Malin Akerman in the main roles and it has been brought to us in TeleSync quality by the one and only mVs. They completely skipped the usual CAMS and and went right to the TS which brings with it a nice bump up in quality for the audio. The image quality is above average as well. Do I even need to say who cracked this? FAiRLiGHT, of course. But why i hear you say there was already a crack. Well FLT claim that the previous P2P release by darkcoder and lolcats is just a loader that tricks the game into activating, while still leaving the copy protection in place. If so, this isn’t a crack. Instead it is what’s called a loader. In The Scene, loaders are frowned upon because they don’t remove the copy protection, but merely fool it so here is a real working crack carefully reverse engineered to remove all elements of the copy protection and leave the original .exe, just the way the developers intended.

Note: The LOLCATS and Darkcoders crack do work, you can still play the game the same way if your were using the FLT crack. At the end of the day though try getting the FLT crack as its a real crack not a loader.
