It’s been all about the camera this week. I’ve gone back to school, souvenir foto school that is, and the assignment is snapping A to Z i 30 days. For me, this means in order {which says so much about my personality}, so today, I am off to shoot F. Any ideas?

Inspired by the “plarn”, which I spotted on pinterest, I decided to dedicate {what turns out to be another} paper trail post to pretty things that tie up packages. You can never have too many ribbons or twine to tie up packages. Who else would like a “gift wrapping room” {or a dedicated table at least!}

Recently I popped a little widget over there in the sidebar which trawls through and picks out the most popular posts. It doesn’t come as the hugest surprise that the list is dominated by friday freebies posts. So you can click on those links to see which rates as the most popular, but today {after failing to write down the wealth of ideas I had for top 5 posts the other day and coming up blank today} I have picked out my top 5 from the archives ~ aka, things you might have missed.

Because I like to change things up and keep you on your toes, today I have not one but two great creatives to share.

Brittini from paper n stitch emailed about some of the designers that are part of the new exhibition there this month. Her picks for what I might be interested were spot on, because one I had already featured and actually am the proud owner of some of her products.

There is a whole load of loveliness to browse over at paper n stitch, a curated space for handmade and independents artists, but today I am including just two designers ~ seaoats {top row} and mengsel {bottom row}.

Seaoats, well for starters has some stunning product photography which you should definitely check out, make lovely clutches and pencil cases. Their products are eco-friendly, made from “reclaimed fabrics and hand-printed screen prints”.

Mengsel, is the work of South African designer Luzelle van der Westhuizen who is now based in London, and isn’t this a great range ~ silk-screened pillow cases, prints, cushions and tea towels. I always find it inspiring when an artist expands over several mediums like this. Seriously crushing on the robot pillowcases.

It would seem I have bunting on the brain after my own attempt last week. Bunting and garlands make a lovely addition to your space, or perhaps even a cake. They bring colour, life, and that something that’s a little bit different. Not to mention there are so many different options for styles ~ vintage papers, tissue paper pom poms, fabric flowers, epherema, hearts, cut-outs, security envelopes, the list goes on.

I’ll be completely upfront and apologise in advance for evoking cravings for chocolate self-saucing pudding this early on a Monday morning.

What Katie Ate is the blog of Katie Quinn Davies, a busy Australian food photographer based in Sydney, and on her blog she shares her gorgeous photography paired with fabulous recipes. It likes having the pages of a cookbook delivered straight to your reader. Not to mention these are real “try this at home” recipes ~ minestrone soup, chocolate pudding, a variety of pasta dishes.

Great recipes and beautiful photography is certainly an appetising combination.

Katie, a former graphic designer, also has a blog curating all things design, creative and photography related at What Katie Saw.

Wow, it’s only Monday morning and already the week is off to a crazy busy start. So I don’t know about you but I’m ready to create and be inspired. And this week is sure to deliver on that!

The photo above is the first photo I’ve taken for the new session of Souvenir Foto School, which kicked off on the weekend. This is the third time I have joined Miss B and the SFS class and the assignment is the alphabet in 30 days. This is “a is for acorn” and was taken a bit on the fly due to my late sign-up! I’m thinking I will recap and share each week’s photos at the end of the week here.

I had so much fun putting together last week’s printable, that I am working on a couple more, including a little something just for those who are a part of my Facebook page, plus all the regular features will be back to inspire you this week.
