Second bunker of 2008

Last night Wu and me met again at his house. This time with our laptops -as ever- and a tipical spanish omelette to eat. After the dinner -and a couple of Fifa'04 matches on GameCube- we plug on the laptops and the bunker time started -NintendoDS Roms trading on background too ;)-. I had done the homework on CakePHP so -after a brief explanation- we focus on Django stuff.

Last Thursday -Jan, 3- Wu and me met at him house with some pizza and the laptops. The main goal was trying to learn more about two particular frameworks: Django and CakePHP. You can read the Wu's blog entry detailing all the bunker in better words than mines ones. So I would like to thank Wu for him hospitality (as ever).

Swimming

This morning, before to start working I went to the swimming pool for the first time this year (3rd day of year). Firstly -after that- I felt tired but many hours later I feel as good as my back. I'm happy because I was becoming too lazy to swim early on the morning but today I did it.

In Spain it's tipical to eat twelve grapes at 00:00 on the last day of the year. It's our way to start the new year. This time wasn't different, after a great -and copious- dinner we ate the lucky grapes and have drunk a couple of champagne bottles. That's the family party.

Last three templates

A few days ago I'd played with DW themes again so, there are three new templates ready to download ;). They're r7throot5, r7throot6 and r7throot7. Talking about the names, I don't complicate so much, new theme = new number :D. The r7throot5 one is quite similar to r7throot4 -really very similar-. Last two were based on sites I like so much, Userlinux -my spanish blog- and Codigo23 -a friend's IT company page-. They are able to download on projects section. Feel free to probe them and contribute…

Call for plugin

I was thinking (wow!). When I installed DokuWiki I loved to see the simplicity of this tool. Now I'm moving 7throot from a server to other. This new one is a shared hosting and I don't know how many root users can read my 'denied acl pages' via file-system.

I can't sleep

Here we are, in front of this little screen trying to know why. Yesterday was a hard day, both at work and in other aspects. After the job I went to a soccer training and my legs was tired a lot. I was on bed at midnight (early for me), sleeping as a child.

New theme: r7throot6

If you're reading this from web you should see any design changes here. That's the new r7throot6-beta theme (not released yet), ready to be conscientiously tested. Talking about dokuwiki templates I'm going to jump from r7throot4 directly to r7throot6 because on the 5th one there are very few -and minor- changes.

Trying Widgets

I'm giving a try on web widgets to earn some money (if it's possible) with the blog. They're on blog_sidebar from AuctionADS and WidgetBucks. I tried the first one (AuctionADS) on my other blog but the results were not good as well (maybe cause of the language of the blog: Spanish). Last one (WidgetBucks) was a recommendation of Andi via twitter.

First time I used an instant messaging service didn't have file transfers, avatars, sounds or any of that stuff. To be honest, I've got a hotmail account, gmail, yahoo and jabber but I'm an irc-man. Well, talking on IM it's essential to have an hackergotchi (avatar) and a funny phrase to make laugh your contacts.

The injured ankle

These days I'm so -physically- tired, some days with the gym routine, other ones running and my last sports activities are playing soccer and futsal (indoor soccer) on two different teams. Yesterday, while I was training, one of my new boots -left one- didn't take the turf so well and I twisted the ankle. Now I can't walk so much cause of the ache, stiffnesses, (and I'm tired too).
