The NFL Pro Bowl back in Hawaii again! Photos from the Pro Bowl military appreciation practice, Ohana Day at Aloha Stadium, and of course the Pro Bowl game itself.

The Villa will be transformed into an afternoon dance party for families to “cut a rug” after their mid day naps. Come down and rock out to the hippest tunes in town!

Rockin’ Hula Baby will feature pop, rock, hip hop, reggae you name it spun by a live DJ. For the kids entertainment there will be hula hoops, books, games and of course lots of dancing! The event will also feature stimulating, educational and Hawaiian cultural activities children and families will enjoy, such as story book reading by First Years Hawaii’s puppet Nohea and activity sheets that encourage learning Hawaiian language. Healthy snacks will be provided, and for adult convenience there will be a diaper changing station and cocktails will be available for non driving parents.

Highlights of the day were the massive autograph sessions along the sidelines and the warm welcome the NFL players received from the military fans. The NFL along with their official military appreciation sponsor, USAA, came together to prepare Earhart Field on the Hickam AFB side of JBPHH to demonstrate their appreciation for the military and bring the NFL closer to those who serve. USAA also provided complementary food and refreshments in support of the military fans.

Hawaii’s Eggs ‘n Things

Eggs ‘n Things, the popular Waikiki eatery for both locals and tourists since 1974, was first opened on Ena Rd. in Waikiki by Jerry and Jan Fukunaga. The key goals that the founders, Jerry and Jan, always had in mind were using fresh ingredients, keeping the prices reasonable, and treating everyone like Ohana (family).

More than 37 years later, the tradition of serving quality food and the spirit of Aloha still continues. Serving breakfast into the evening has been another reason Eggs ‘n Things is loved.

Japanese pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki spotted in Hawaii during the first week of 2012.

Ayumi Hamasaki (浜崎 あゆみ Hamasaki Ayumi, also 濱崎 歩; born October 2, 1978) is a Japanese singer-songwriter, record producer, model, lyricist, and actress. Also called “Ayu” by her fans, Hamasaki has been dubbed the “Empress of Pop” because of her popularity and widespread influence in Japan and throughout Asia. Born and raised in Fukuoka, she moved to Tokyo at fourteen to pursue a career in entertainment. In 1998, under the tutelage of Avex CEO Max Matsuura, she released a string of modestly selling singles that concluded with her 1999 debut album A Song for ××. The album debuted atop the Oricon charts and stayed there for four weeks, establishing her popularity in Japan.

Yuki Saito (斉藤 由貴 Saitō Yuki, born on September 10, 1966 in Minami-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan) is a Japanese singer-songwriter, actress, essayist, and poet. Her married name is Yuki Isarai (小井 由貴 Isarai Yuki), though she continues to work under her maiden name. She attended Kanagawa Prefectural Shimizugaoka High School (now Yokohama Seiryo Sogo High School). Her father owns a long-standing and respected obi shop, and her brother is the actor Ryūji Saitō.
