Well I hope so for their sake, considering the 7 speed manual transmission they've just engineered for the new 911s.

I've always been a fan of Porsche. Their design may be pretty stagnate, but their cars are always sleek, sexy, light, and quick. The one problem I have with Porsche is that they represent a compromise between two lifestyles. Car enthusiasts look at the 911 and see the 3.6 liter, 340 hp, magnesium six-cylinder. The engine response is insane, and the 0-60 is sub-five seconds. Sounds pretty good right? And your wife will be pleased too when you promise to take the kids to school; thank God Porsche put their tiny engine behind the rear wheels so there's room inside for some backseats.

I have a better idea. Fuck all that. Screw the backseats and little six-cylinders. Ferrari has no room for posers or their two kids.

The Ferrari 458 doesn't mess around with rear engines. It doesn't come in manual, and you won't find a baby six-cylinder inside either. This car isn't made for daddies who want a sports car but need a sedan.

The Italia boasts a 4.5 liter V8 revving to 9,000 rpm and laying down 560 horses. The front wings inside the bumper are flexible so that they work better at low speeds and bend up at high speeds to decrease drag. The car is cut up all over for ventilation and increased downforce. Ferrari could have put the engine in the rear, but they prefer the center podium instead. And if you're upset that this is the first production Ferrari with no manual transmission option, save it. Ferrari isn't concerned with pleasing whiners who claim dual-clutch paddle shifters are "cheating". Ferrari's focus is making the fastest, most agile, most stylish cars in the world, and they've been dominating production manufacturing and auto racing since Enzo Ferrari started his company.

Congratulations, Porsche, keep offering your six-cylinder status symbol in the slower, manual option; nobody gives a shit.

"THANK god it's Friday... this was the longest week everrr." Sound familiar? Granted, sometimes you may even share in the communal sigh of relief that is Saturday and Sunday, although hopefully without the valley girl emphasis that I'm picturing. The truth is, however, if you're living your life only for the freedom of getting blackout buzzed on the brothers Jack and Jim without yacking next to your boss' most recent bowel movement the next day, you're wasting 5 out of 7 days of your life. That's almost 75% of your day-to-day existence spent bitching about sitting at a desk, having to do things that people pay you to do, and how there's too much foam in your latte from that little coffee shop down the street. No, not the one on the corner-- the one with the chalkboard menu. Guess what: tough fuckin luck.

If there was anything to be learned from Adam Sandler's instant classic "Click," apart from how everyone thinks Kate Beckinsale is stupid hot, it's that life is about the journey, not the destination. Going into a week with only the goal of getting through it is a fantastic way to wake up a year later, a little fatter and wondering why you're still miserable.

Congratufuckinlations. I hope you're happy seeing that matinee for half off. Totally worth it.

Work for every single day you're given, not just the weekend. Do you really want to take advice from a band called Loverboy? You, and only you, have the ability to wake up each morning, grab the day by the haunches, and have your way with it until you reach the recommended 8 hour refractory period-- then it's back to work. Make the most of your limited time and get some serious shit done. Like most things, it's all about the attitude. Figure out ways to be productive and have a good time when others are coasting with lame ass excuses. Motivate. Dominate.

PS: Weekend, I don't mean to talk shit. You're just not there when I need you sometimes, always taking off in the middle of the night and not telling me where you're going. I need something more stable in my life right now. Let's spend some time apart and see where it goes. You can keep the booze. Turns out weekdays have better happy hours anyways.

Unfortunately, Rugby is entirely foreign to most Americans and even though a game or two may be seen once a year here, the rules are beyond most of our grasps. The Nike Mag is one of the most iconic shoes ever produced. If the name doesn’t sound familiar, they’re the legendary power-locking, magnetized high-tops that Michael J. Fox slipped into in Back To The Future II. This video is the full story about how those shoes came into existence and how they’re going to make the future a better place by helping to cure Parkinsons and make my feet so fly.
Inspired by online poker's interface and tournament structure, DraftDay is a real-money DFS site that gives players the opportunity to draft fantasy teams and take them to war against others' teams. Like poker tournaments, DraftDay games feature different buy-in amounts and player fields. Players can also create and join private matches to challenge their friends.

"DraftDay adds an entirely new dimension to sweating sports games with its streaming scoreboards and chat. Our user interface is sweet and simple, and it's a hell of a rush, especially the Perfect Lineup."

-Wiggins

The DraftDay Perfect Lineup is a weekly freeroll with a $1,000,000 grand prize. Each week, players may draft a team; if that team has the top-scoring players in every position, they win. There are also cash prizes for the top 25 lineups each week.

All you online poker players out there, I know what you're thinking. But don't worry; DraftDay operates in accordance with the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act of 2006 and is 100% legal. Check out the site and create your free account. Each week there will be freeroll events, so if you don't want to throw down, no problem.

Good luck at the tables,

MJ

Look for the collection at select retailers in the near future.

Luckily, Ferrari’s newest innovation should suppress any winter blues. The FF is Ferrari’s first car to come equipped with 4RM, the automaker’s first ever part-time all-wheel drive system. Have no fear; the team from Northern Italy didn’t sacrifice speed or performance for four wheel drive. The all new, direct injection, 6.3 liter V12 comes equipped with 651 horsepower, 504 lb-ft of torque and goes from 0-62 in 3.7 seconds. So now the only thing you’ll need to worry about is covering that grill.

But just like your personal tastes, moonshine has also done its fair share of growing up, thanks to modern craft distillers. Now, the high-proof corn whiskey is not only legally available, but delicious to boot. And yes, it still packs a mighty wallop. Take Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine ($25+) for instance. The family company, based in Gatlinburg, TN follows centuries old secret recipes to create a superior moonshine using local ingredients from East Tennessee farms. Their 100 proof shine is even available with batch soaked cherries and sold in mason jars. Yee-haw, indeed.

The engineers at Porsche, however, think they have the solution, in the form of 911 Carrera. The so called 911 Black Edition consists of both Coupe and Cabriolet versions of the 911, “blacked out” in both exterior paint job and interior appointments. Added are sports design steering wheel, 19-inch wheels found on 911 Turbo II, and a special emblem on the dashboard marking the edition. Under the hood, you will find the same 345 horsepower, 3.6 liter engine, able to reach 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds. Limited to only 1,911 units, the Porsche 911 Carrera Black Edition will be available in April 2011 at the same cost of a basic model.

Four basic colorways, navy, black, red and white were selected as base color, followed by embroidery with white/black Yankees logo on the front panels. White polka dots are asymmetrically printed as an all over print pattern, to gave it a pop aesthetic. Only the white version was detailed with black embroideries, plus a matching black polka dots printed on the crown and visor. Check your local New Era dealers for these caps or hit up the Japanese online store Onspotz (for $63) as they have these in stock now.

Today, for example, Nike and the French Football Federation unveiled the new France National Football Team kit. The design strategy embraces the classic elements of France’s past kits, with some modern upgrades, both superficially and performance-driven.

Aesthetically, the new shirts lose most of the white and red, opting for a predominantly solid blue shirt with some tonal striping and red on the underside of the sleeves, as well as the addition of a motto, “Nos Differences Nous Unissent” (roughly “our differences unite us” in English), placed behind the badge, adjacent to the wearer’s heart. The white shorts create a stark contrast, as do the red shin pads.

As for functional innovations, Dri-FIT is of course central to the construction, in order to lighten weight and enhance breathability, and the shirts feature a ventilated, ergonomic construction to reduce drag and encourage air flow.
Last but not least, Nike continues a push toward eco-friendly designs on the world stage.
