Took a ride out today and went to Jodrell Bank, been done before and it will be done again, but it’s a very impressive, looming structure in the Cheshire countryside.

Passing the Token

This is the Severn Valley Railway, taken near Kidderminster, ‘Passing the Token’ is In railway signalling, a token is a physical object which a locomotive driver is required to have or see before entering onto a particular section of single track. The token is clearly endorsed with the name of the section it belongs to. A token system is used for single lines because of the very much greater risk of serious collision in the event of irregular working by signalmen or traincrews, than on double lines.

While visiting the Wrekin we drove round trying to chase the light and ended up on the moors with these interesting trees, the shape they made drew me to them.
