Sunday, November 22, 2009, 3pm Steven Isserlis, artistic director & cello Todd Phillips, violin Nicholas Cords, viola Ana-Maria Vera, piano Judy Kuhn, narrator With contagious charm, the celebrated cellist Steven Isserlis, author of Why Beethoven Threw the Stew and Why Handel Waggles His Wig, returns for a fourth season of concerts that introduce families to our greatest composers. In the series-opening concert, Steven and his friends introduce a man who may have had a lousy disposition, but who wrote some lush and richly evocative music, like the Slavonic Dances and the "New World" Symphony: the Czech composer Antonin Dvo k.
