We humans are very irrational creatures when it comes to holding our money 💰💰💰💰💰💰.

Even though the value of every ₨.100 note in everyone's wallet is the same, we assign different values to it based on our circumstances. For eg, A rs.100 note would mean the world to us when thinking of a Netflix subscription. On the other hand, spending rs.300 for that hot chocolate 🥤🥤at Starbucks becomes a spare change. Why does this happen ??

Have you ever thought about it ??

Our mind subconsciously creates multiple accounts in our head for each kind of activity and hence we allocate different values to money based on those activities. But this is the wrong👎👎 way of doing it.

We need to convert every rupee leaving our pockets in terms of opportunity cost.

Next time you spend money, ask yourself "What else could I buy with this money" and if you are not able to think of anything better, only then spend it. This will help you significantly curtail your expenditure and increase your savings rate.

Let me explain it better with an easy example, it feels normal for us to spend rs.2000 in a restaurant for a lunch.....but spending rs.2000 on upskilling yourself (like in books, courses, etc.) would sound a lot.

It's not something new or that it happens only with you, it happens with everybody. So don't worry, just need to work on this habit and improve it.

“Good is the enemy of great.

And that is one of the key reasons why we have so little that becomes great.

We don’t have great schools, principally because we have good schools. We don’t have great government, principally because we have good government. Few people attain great lives, in large part because it is so just easy to settle for good life. The vast majority of companies never become great, precisely because the vast majority become quite good—and that is the main problem.”

Good to Great -- by Jim Collins

These are few lines from the book ‘Good to Great’ by Jim Collins. While reading this book as the college project, I came across a mind-blowing phrase, which just totally shooked my whole way of thinking that, “Good is the enemy of great”. It is just too easy to settle for good, and that’s the main reason or the problem that we have only a few great leaders, schools, companies, personality, and government just because principally we have attained the ‘level’ good in them all. Take it as a book review, or summary or dissection but needed to be done.

While going through the research phase of the book, one question which always strucked the author’s mind was, ‘Can good company become a great company, and if so how? Or is the disease of ‘just being good’ incurable? As he was performing the research work on ‘good to great companies’, thus his all the questions and queries revolved around the few set of companies.

While performing the research work, the author and his team reached to a conclusion, which later created more confusion. They observed that all the ‘good to great’ companies showed some similar traits irrespective of their market capitalisation, sector in which they deal, or any other differential basis. They called that conclusion as ‘black box’. They referred it as black box because it contained some secret recipe, and whichever company used it as an ingredient in their growth process, showed unexpectedly great results. Now the task was to find that secret recipe, which helped in transformation from ‘good to great’. And after rigorous research and sleepless nights the ‘secret’ was out:

The secret box of 'recipe'

1. Strategy did not separate the good-to-great companies from the comparison companies. Both set of companies had well defined strategies, and there is no evidence that good to great companies spent more time on long-range strategic planning than the comparison companies.

2. The good to great companies primarily did not focus on what to do to become great; they focussed equally on what not to do and what to stop doing.

3. Mergers and acquisitions play virtually no role in igniting the transformation process; two big mediocrities joined together never make one great company.

Along these points he also mentioned, “We were surprised, shocked really, to discover the type of leadership required for turning a good company into a great one. Compared to high-profile leaders with big personalities who make headlines and become celebrities, the good-to-great leaders seem to have come from Mars. Self-effacing, quiet, reserved, even shy-these leaders are a paradoxical blend of personal humility and professional will. They are more like Lincoln and Socrates than Patton or Caesar.

We expected that good-to-great leaders would begin by setting a new vision and strategy. We found instead that they first got the right people on the bus, the wrong people off the bus, and the right people in the right seats-and then they figured out where to drive it. The old adage "People are your most important asset" turns out to be wrong. People are not your most important asset. The right people are.

All companies have a culture, some companies have discipline, but few companies have a culture of discipline. When you have disciplined people, you don't need hierarchy. When you have disciplined thought, you don't need bureaucracy. When you have disciplined action, you don't need excessive controls. When you combine a culture of discipline with an ethic of entrepreneurship, you get the magical alchemy of great performance.”

These were few mentioned tips by the author for transformation from ‘good to great’. The game here is, he researched and gave tips for good to great companies and you have to apply your own brain cells and use these tips in your life to achieve great and not settle for good.

The "underrated" Tool

January 1 2020, marked the beginning of a brand new decade that many looked at with optimism and as a chance at a new lease on life. But as summer 2020 progresses, many are wondering if this year can get worse, following a string of wild fires, airplane crashes in Iran and Pakistan, the death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant, social unrest over killing of George Floyd, the deadly explosion in Bruit, and various natural disasters – all under the cloud of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The list of losses doesn’t stops here, many migrant workers dying due to lack of basic amenities, many of organised and un-organised sector people losing their jobs becoming unemployed, homeless and hopeless. Loss of some stars in the Bollywood industry be it Imran khan, Rishi Kapoor, or Sushant Singh Rajput. And the biggest of them all is spending your most enjoyable, productive, explorative and cheerful time at homes, by not going to college and missing some of the greatest years of lives.

Under these dark, doomy and dusty clouds of loss, misery and pain, there has always been a hope that these painful days will surely end and someday or the other we will be back to our normal lives. Sitting with this hope, under the roofs of our homes with a lot of idle time, many people have thought to become more productive by learning some new market required skills, or by starting a new online business, or by starting a new blog to express their views and what not, so when this pandemic ends they come out as a better version of themselves, instead of wasting their time on gossips, Netflix, or other OTT platforms, or just by over-thinking and all other kinds of shit.

Among the most popular demanding skills, one of the ‘skill’ or a ‘tool’ which if used wisely with proper knowledge and great patience can change everybody’s future. And it is a delightful moment for me to tell you that more and more people are becoming aware of this tool. The ‘tool’ or ‘skill’ is non-other than the stock-market. In layman's language, a stock market is a place, or a tool, or a medium which transfers the money 💰💰 from the impatient to the patient. So, patience is the key factor in the market. Besides patience, a little bit of knowledge about the market, a handsome or handful (handsome amount or handful amount, both are sufficient, as you don't need to be great to start, but you need to start to be great. You can start with as low as rs.10) amount of money. If you have a lots of patience and a little amount of money, then also you are ready to enter the market.

The legendry investor and trader of its time Harshad Mehta had already mentioned this 40 years back that Indian markets have the power and capacity to quench the thirst (of money) of every Indian, if they play well and play right. He is no more between us, but his words are becoming true even after so many years. Those who played well with lots of patience are enjoying the cream now, be it Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, Radha Kishan Damani, Vijay Kedia, Dolly Khanna and many more.

Total number of demat accounts in India as on 31.03.2021

India is a developing country with nearly 135 crore population. But still, till date only about 2-3% people are just investing in markets. So in the near future markets have huge scope, as large number of people are getting financially literate and wisely investing their money. Financial year 2020-21 has seen the highest ever number of demat account openings. The number is still very low but seen a gradual increase as compared to previous year records. In March 2021, the total number of demat accounts are nearly 51.5 million.

The Reality We Live In

As the title suggests 'The Reality We Live In' reveals us about the harsh reality in which we live or basically the mindset which helps us to setbacks and prevents us from being our true selves and give 100 %. This is popularly known as 'MIDDLE-CLASS MINDSET'. This is the most cursed and painful state of mind. There is a famous saying:

If you are a middle class then you are just buried at the age of 17 and you die at the age of 25.

In any economy, there are 3 kinds of people L.I.G - Lower income group; M.I.G. - Middle Income Group; H.N.I. - High Networth Individuals. If govt. makes any aid policy it would be focused on L.I.G. people and H.N.I. people just don't need any kind of policy or govt. aid. And the M.I.G. people are leftover.

If it comes to the Tax Payments L.I.G. people are exempted by govt. and H.N.I. people hire qualified personals to save their taxes. But here also, there are no such provisions for M.I.G. people they have to pay all of their hard-earned money as 'taxes' and that too on time otherwise strict actions are taken against them. They are the most frustrated and crushed section of the society because of themselves and the reasons are:(

1. They like to follow the same path which is prevalent in the market and be part of the rat race.

2. Their risk appetite is very low.

3. They don't love the mental state in which they are, but at the same point of time, they aren't ready to change it.

4. They are mostly the part of every trap in the society i.e. debt trap; inflation trap.

5. They like to think emotionally rather logically (with facts and figures).

6. They like to believe in superstitions and miracles rather than their work-ethic.

7. They have very high expectations concerning their work ethic.

8. They like to create their self-restrictions and prevent themselves from thinking out of the box.

9. They live a meaningless life i.e. without any goals or objectives.

10. They always like to show off above concerning what they are.

11. They like to work for money rather than let the money work for them.

12. They waste their time in being jealous of others, rather than work hard and try to supersede that person.

13. They like to regret a lot because they don't take corrective actions at the right time and later regret it.

The fact is that they intentionally don't do that, but the path which they follow makes them do that, the traditional and unconventional path. If you want to achieve anything or everything you dreamt of, you must first change your mindset. If you too were in this category of people till date please change it as soon as possible.

According to a study, in the next coming decade, India will have 80% of its population in M.I.G. and India will be the largest country with M.I.G. people in the world.

The "FATHER"

According to dictionary 'Father' is just a "male parent" . But these few technical words can't describe a 'father'. Or basically nothing can describe a 'father' better than the children. In our childhood we really didn't get the meaning of 'father' or come to know what all sacrifices he has made, so that we can stand on our own legs. As a son, today I am going to express my views on the level of sacrifices and pain a person has to undergo to become a 'Father'.

Do you know, what's the toughest job in the world ?? If you think it's C.A, an M.B.A. graduate, C.F.A, or to be in defence sector or an I.A.S. or I.P.S. officer then you are obiously wrong. A person can surely achieve any of the above designations with confidence, seer dedication, strong will power and a positive belief system, but he cannot become a father with any of the above qualities. He needs to be a good human being with high morals and values, ability to make sacrifices and always think first of his children and then of himself. He is the holy and the only soul in the world who always wishes that my children be better than me, and they never face the same struggles which I saw in my life. Otherwise in this cut-throat competitive world who else would let you be better than himself, this dare can only be done by a 'father'.

Basically, 'father' is not the part of life but he is the essence of life. Without him we are 'nothing'. It doesn't matter wheather he had studied in which school, but he always tries to send his children to the best, no matter if he sleeps in fan but he assures that his children sleeps in air-conditioner, matter not which phone he has but he assures that his children uses the best one, no matter if he goes to work on two wheeler but he assures that his children must travel in four wheeler, matter not if he hadn't his dinner but he assures that his children's stomach must be always full. These are just few of the sacrifices only a 'father' can make, so that his children shouldn't face them.

And in return what we do to him, obiously nothing. For sure nothing in this materialistic world can ever meet the loads of sacrefices and pain which our parents made. But we can surely lighter the loads, as our parents doesn't demand for anything from us, except for love and respect throughout their life. Which we can and we should give them because it doesn't costs anything for us to make them happy, who ruined their lifes with pains behind us to make happy.

The most precious gift by god to any living creature is his/her parents. So, this Father's Day we should thank our fathers for what ever he has done to us and show him how important is 'he' to us.

'Father' is not the part of life but he is the essence of life.

The History REPEATS Itself

In this cringe, amateur, beetle head and useless fight between the two Tic-Tok vs. Youtube, we all have forgotten who are we ??? Do any of us really remember or know who we were or who we are ??? If any one of you remember, can definitely leave. If you don't please read the article till the end.

Do you know why India got slaved by Britishers for 200 long years. If yes, then it's a proud moment for all of us or if not then, we got enslaved for just one reason and that is LACK OF UNITY. Before being under the slavery we were the one of the developed nations because of our trade, inventions, advancement in technology and were popularly known as 'Sone Ki Chiriya'. After being so developed we got enslaved because of our just a single "mistake". You all must be thinking in this modern day virtual fight, why am I involving the context of slavery and freedom struggle. It's obvious to think because one thing is common in both, that is LACK OF UNITY.

Earlier during the British raj, after being so well developed and backed up economy, due to our internal fights, mis-understandings,and lack of unity the Britishers took the advantage and ruled us for 200 long years. And now in this present day scenario due to our lack of unity between us, sooner or later we are going to be ruled by any other country like China or the U.S.A. With the help of tic-tok (chinese app.) and youtube (american app.) these two economies have surely came to know that how foolish, dumb, stupid and what not are we. We are just fighting behind the apps. which aren't from Indian origin, we haven't created them. The creators are enjoying the fight and looking for a 'right opportunity'.

So, it's time to show who we are. From my opinion, we should stop taking the sides of any particular app. or promoting for the sake of it and start spreading awareness amongst every Indian to don't repeat the same 'mistake' which our ancestors made 273 years ago. Till date it is a controversial statement that "The Faster the Technology is developed the More Humans are Degraded". It cannot be stated as true or false, it depends upon the opinion of an individual. For some it may be true and for some it may be false. Both the groups are right in their own ways.

For those who are with the motion or in the favor will state that in earlier times when their was less impact of technology in our lives, it was much more peaceful, quite, calm, and had a simple standard of living with a self-dependent environment all around. Which from their aspect is no where wrong. With the advent of technology the lives have became much or less dependent on it, and we are becoming lazier, lethargic, arrogant, and with lack of patience. For instance, with the advent of alarm clock people became dependent on it for waking up rather than the rays of the sun, and the croaking sound of the cock. Same applies with that of air conditioner, it made destruction on a dual aspect, first it made people so sensitive and lethargic that they cannot even bare the hot burning sun for a minute and above that it's one of the gases which helps to chill the air is a major participant of ozone layer depletion which ultimately allows the harmful ultra-violent rays of the sun to enter in the earth's atmosphere and increase the earth's natural temperature by 2-3 degrees every year and hence the destruction follows. Third one can be considered as the king of all destruction which is none other than the mobile phone, it was developed with the motive to connect the people all around the globe as the other modes of communication weren't too quick and effective. As we can see how well it has accomplished it's motive but on the other hand it made people too far from each other. Can you see how ironical it is, mobile was developed to reduce the gap in between, but in actual reality it made huge gaps in between humans. In the list at the fourth the number stands a technology without which we cannot live for an hour i.e. internet. After mobile phone the technology which ruined millions of lifes is none other than the internet. It was also developed with the motive of quick information access to all, around the globe. But nobody knew that the dark side of internet will be so dangerous. It led to many kind of scams such as financial frauds, plagiarism, piracy, child pornography, cyber crime, identity theft, phishing, illegal downloads etc. These are just some of them, there are many of such.

Now comes the group which are against the motion or not in favor of the above. From there point of view they are also not wrong. They mean to say that, as the technology upgrades, their standard of living also increases and life becomes much more easy and comfortable. For instance, earlier when anybody had to commute long distances such as inter-state or international it wasn't possible or if possible it took very long duration. But with the advent of vehicles such as car, bike, scooter, aeroplane, ship, train, bus etc. it can be very easily done. Earlier when anybody had to contact anyone, the only mode of communication was the letter which again took days to reach the destination. As letter had nothing wrong in it but it wasn't accessible to all the places and in case of emergency this wasn't a suitable mode of communication. So, the mobile phone was invented to reduce the communication gap. With mobile phones we can convey our message within seconds to anybody. The third invention is a kind of revolution in the technological sector i.e. computer. We cannot imagine a day in our life without computer, basically almost every technological development is just possible because of computer. If it wasn't there then we must have been not able to do researches on any subject, or do great mathematical calculations within seconds, and we must have been still using the ancient techniques of recording information which would not last for many days. Talking about the fourth invention is also in the list of revolutionaries i.e. Artificial Intelligence. Which is nowadays working better than human intelligence in the field of learning, problem solving, reasoning, perception abilities. That means now much of the work can be done without human interference. You can see AI everywhere from your phone to laptops to high-end machineries.

At last if the battle is not stopped here, it would go on and on. And it would be impossible for anyone to judge the winner. Because nobody here can actually tell whether this statement is correct or not i.e. "The Faster the Technology is developed the More Humans are Degraded". Basically technologies are developed for ease of human beings, but when we misuse them for our own self need and greed, instead of being boon to the society it rather turns into a hindrance. From my point of view technological development is good but till some extent. And above that we must control the technology rather technology should not control us. In the current scenario of COVID-19 pandemic, technology has shown that we cannot live without technology and above that technology also cannot live without us. So, their should be a proper balance between we humans and technology.

The Virus that changed our Life

By looking at the title you must have thought I'm going to script a documentry on how a virus ruined millions of lives. But that's not true, i'm going to talk about 'How a virus has changed or basically changing millions of lives in a much more positive and practical way'.

You must have came to know whom i was addressing till now.................................................... if not then, it's none other than our very own "corona" virus, which is a very deadly virus for the humankind as reported worldwide (and to be honest it very true). But apart from the deadly aspect, this was the virus which helped us to knew the real meaning of our lives, our homes, our family and much more. It again reminded humankind that money, wealth, assests, finances must not be categorised as needs. It forced the people to change their definitions of needs and wants. Needs must be roti, kapda, paisa aur makaan. And wants or basically the end goal to achieve should be eternal happiness, satisfaction, self love in life. It showed that not a wealthy lifestyle but a healthy lifestyle will give you a longer and better lifespan. In the sampuran or national lockdown the virus showed us a flashback of how our mother and father lived their childhood and passed their summer vaccations in the early 80s-90s. Means the people who are now so called adults, lived their childhood again and that too with a modern twist (the 21st century twist). And it made us think that with just one generation gap, how we've evolved in everything (some are good but some are worse). Like for instance our parents played ludo, carrom, chess as indoor games in their childhood and we play PUBG, Pokemon-go, virtual ludo, need for speed etc. They used to eat gol-gappa, chaat, jhaal-muri as snacks and we eat burger, pizza, french-fries etc. They used to do something creative like hand-made craft, antakshari in their spare time and we do tic-tok, fb, insta etc. They used to watch ramayana, mahabharta and krishna-saar on their weekends and we watch doremon, game of thrones. These examples were given to show the gap of evolution between the parents and the children. My motive was not to demean and demoralise todays children, but to show the reality.

Except for the humankind, this virus has proved to be a boon to everybody else be it flora or fauna. But to some extent it tought us great life lessons which no teacher or school can provide even if it charges millions or billions for it.
