I'm having a lovely time in New York! Enjoyed my second show (Rebecca Minkoff - pics coming soon!), met and chatted with Jack and Laz from Proenza Schouler (thanks Amber and Mary!), mingled with some of my absolute favorite bloggers at the CurrentlyObsessed.me party and had my fair share of amazing people-watching at Lincoln Center. This has been such an unreal experience, I've felt like the wide-eyed "pinch me?!" girl all week!

I'm in NEW YORK! It's been a whirlwind 24 hours so far: dinner at Locanda Verde with the fabulous Stylelist team (had the pleasure of meeting Garance Dore!), the BCBG show (my first show, ever), a brisk walk through Central Park and an ambling stroll down 5th & Madison Avenues (required stops included Bergdorf Goodman, Celine and Derek Lam). The only taxi I've taken thus far is the one from the airport to the hotel - and I plan to keep it that way. Love the subway system, so easy! The severely cold weather? Not so easy. :)

A quick 24 hours in Minneapolis and I'm back! I wish I could say I saw more than the inside of a taxi cab, a hotel or a training facility... but that's the reality. On the plus side, I was upgraded to first class on the flight home - all that mileage from business travel last year is starting to pay off! ;)

As many of you asked, the nail color from my most recent post is on the left - it's a new favorite! I happened upon a Celine bag in nearly the same color and had to tear myself away from it. Trust me, it was difficult. ;)

I'm so excited about the weekend, it's going to be fun - my family is in town (yay, niece and nephew!). Cue the endless food, idle strolls around city centers and chatter-filled kiddy games.

First week of the year 'musts':

Plans, plans and more plans (finalizing 2012 budget, new product launch plans, marketing plans, objectives for the year...). I didn't really consider all of the planning work-wise I'd be doing when I mentioned plans in my last post. I was thinking more along the lines of travel plans, new restaurant experience plans, visiting friends and family plans...... ;)
For a quick second forget my plan to start trying new restaurants and subsequently make reservations for The House, one of my favorite SF restaurants. It's time for garlic noodles and sea bass.

PS: Not pictured is my vintage suede and fur coat, which helps with the mid-60s weather we've been experiencing in SF lately. Not too bad for December though, and uncharacteristically dry too (cue the rain, for surely I have now jinxed it)!

The final week of the year has flown by: a few days at the office, a few happy hours, an "Eve before NYE" party at a friend's house and an unparalleled (and somewhat alarming) experience at the Saks after-Christmas sale. Let's just say it was crazy! Or better yet, some people get crazy over shoes. Fun times and my hubby even joined for the spectacle. :)

There's one problem with collecting an array of fabulous sweaters for this cold winter season - the lack of closet/dresser space in our condo. I've had to edit, re-edit and re-re-edit my closet... (by way of storage boxes for the breezy day dresses and sleeveless tops). No real complaints though because I'm as warm & cozy as can be, which makes for a most comfortable and happy holiday season. ;)

And best of all, I'm getting a grand start on the holidays with a short work week - happy Wednesday!
