Over the past few weeks, the Mac admins I talk with have been talking about a report from Netskope Threat Labs regarding a new macOS ClickFix campaign. The campaign is a brilliant (and scary) piece of social engineering, and it highlights exactly why the traditional 90-day software update deferral window needs to be retired, either by Apple or by IT.

When Aqara originally released the Aqara Camera Hub G5 Pro with HomeKit Secure Video support back in 2025, it ended a long drought. I have had one outside for over a year now, and if you have a porch area, this is a great outdoor camera.

In the United States, Apple has exclusive streaming rights for all of F1 so you normally need an Apple TV subscription to watch. However, this weekend is an outlier, as Apple made a special deal with Netflix which will see the race also broadcast on the rival streamer.

As Steve Jobs once said “Who wants a pop-up?[…] yuck.” Or was he referring to an iPhone stylus? Either way, if you’re an avid downloader of apps you probably get annoyed by the amount of app tracking prompts that appear. You know, the one asking whether you’ll let the app “track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites.” You tap “Ask App Not to Track” and move on, but minutes later another app shows you the same thing.

You’ll be glad to know there’s a way for iPhone to automatically default to “no” and never see these prompts again…
