I am so excited to share this with you all today. It is so beautiful and whimsical. This was sent in by Seri and Michelle of Little Miss Party Planner. You may remember HERE when I posted their East Hampton Engagement Soiree. These ladies definitely have a sense of style that is consistent through every party they style. And this one is one of my favorites. In many parts of the country I know you all are still in winter mode with weather so it is so fitting to share a winter one-derland party today.

Details in Seri’s words:

Colette’s mom Traci wanted the party to feel soft, vintage and feminine and since the party was in the beginning of January (when it usually is cold and snowy) loved the idea of using muted pink, soft gold, ivory and burlap brown for the color story. I was super excited to work with this beautiful palette as it was very fitting for a 1 year old girl.

Isn’t it all just dreamy? I LOVE the ribbon garland behind the dessert table and all the burlap accents. There is never a detail left untouched by these two ladies! {Sneak Peak} Operation Shower

Sorry been a little MIA. I am recovering from nasty sickness and preparing to leave on Sunday to head down to SD for Operation Shower. But I thought it would be fun to leave you with a little sneak peak for the weekend. The other ladies who are designing tables have been sharing theirs on facebook and it is getting me so excited to see it all come together. So went to the docs, got some meds, and told myself I have no time to be sick. It is fun play time with some great bloggy friends!

I may not be posting here on the blog for the first of next week due to the event but will be facebooking and tweeting so come see what I am up to next week there. Have a wonderful weekend!

{Blissful Customer} Ava’s Butterfly Party

Are you guys looking forward to spring as much as me? I can not wait. I actually think it is one of my favorite times of year. One of my favorite clients, Jennine sent me picture from her daughter’s butterfly party we worked on together and I am in love. Of course not only because this was Lauren’s 2nd birthday theme but because Jennine did such a GREAT job! She has fabulous styling skills and maybe you remember her son’s Vintage Airplane party (see it HERE) from last year. So I hope you enjoy all of this eye candy to get you into a spring mood!

A few fabulous details: Jennine released tissue paper butterflys for the kids to catch in their butterfly catchers, and bug kits for the kids to catch live lady bugs. She had released 2 containers of them the night before. Love that idea! Over sized balloons for the kids and a “bubble bar” for the adults to enjoy mimosas completed the party details.

Valentines Pinning and Some Life Updates

I am so sad. This year I will not be doing my annual Valentines. I just could not get myself together with the busy first of the year we are having. I have barley been back 2 weeks from being gone for 5, I am gearing up for Operation Shower in a week, and . . . .we are selling our house. Yep you heard it here. They wanted to put it on the market immediately but I asked them to spare me (as I am sick- nasty yucky cold!) until I am back from San Diego. I mean I can not handle getting my house ready for people to be in it next Sunday and leave the same day for SD. Not happening. So when I come back from SD will be our first showing and well we’ll see where that takes us. I have a feeling it will be awhile.

So I have succumbed to pinning for a creative outlet for Valentines this year and I will also be doing a craft project with Lauren’s class. I have to come up with something for them to put their Valentines in. Maybe more on that once I figure out what I am doing. In the meantime here are some of my favorite ideas out there from my Pinterest board.

I adore these little match boxes wrapped in decorative paper and tied with twine. What a darling idea to deliver your own valentines.

I have some of these mailboxes left over from last years party. They are from Target and I believe I saw them again this year in the dollar bins. Super cute on these pedestals.

Blog Changes . . .and a little shopping!

There are a few new changes around here on the blog that I did a few weeks ago and I am wondering if you noticed. First I thought it would be fun to add a mini slideshow of some of my favorite finds. These will be for the home, decor books, cake plates, baking supplies. You get the picture. I am even thinking it will be fun to have them relevant to that month. For example for February, maybe all things LOVE. What do you think? And they have direct links to purchase them right then and there. Fun right? So if you need a gift, what to add some decor pieces to your rooms, or have a upcoming party and need something new to decorate with- why not pop in and see what I am crushing on.

Next I added a slideshow located right below the etsy shop, for all your essential crafting supplies. I get SO many emails about what to use to make the printables and I know many of you are not printable savvy. . .YET! So I have loaded all the tools that I use and there is a caption below each so you know what they are for. Many you may have or maybe you need a new one. Just click and purchase. Easy right? This is also going to launch a series on “How To’s” for printables. So no matter what you purchase in the shop, there will be a step by step tutorial on how to make it. I am hoping this will get you over your fear of trying them out if you haven’t yet.

The most asked for is the 2″ scallop punch that you simply can not find in any local store. I swear I have looked and so have many of my clients. So here it is:

Operation Shower and Pottery Barn Kids- Sunshine Safari Event

I am thrilled to announce I will be participating in the next Operation Shower event sponsored by Pottery Barn Kids in a few weeks in San Diego!! This is such a fun and worthy cause supporting military mom’s who’s husbands are deployed and giving them a truly fabulous baby shower. I am joining 9 other bloggers and styling a table for 8 ladies. I am excited to see some of my blogging friends that I met last August at the Hostess With The Mostess party-Jenn from Hostess With The Mostess, Nancy from A to Zebra Celebrations, Tori from Thoughtfully Simple, Marie from Sweets Indeed, Amy- Chief party event stylist/planner/coordinator extraordinaire for Operation Shower and Stem Parties, and more.

The party printable designs are being created by the talented Abigail from Paper and Cake and here is a little sneak peak!

Pottery Barn Kids created a group Pinterest board for us all to pull our ideas together and share our visions. It is really fun to see what each of us finds and REALLY funny to see many of us have tagged and saved the same things. I wonder how many people will do the DIY Palm Tree?

There are also many amazing vendors that I am sure will be involved. I know I have compiled a amazing team to help me create my vision. I can not wait to share who they are and their fabulous creations.

{Blissful Customer} Emma’s Sugar and Spice 1st Birthday

When Michelle contacted me to help her with her daughter Emma’s 1st birthday, I immediately thought a Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice party theme would be a super cute party especially for a little one turning 1. For colors I was inspired by THIS party from Hostess With The Mostess and immediately started pinning her a board on Pinterest.

I have been dying to do a NAVY and PINK party and thought a fun modern pattern with a classic stripe was the perfect compliment.

We called in one of my favorite vendors, Aimee from Strawberrie Rose, to create Emma a perfectly coordinated tutu set and then we were ready to shop for sweets.

I love how Michelle made the smash cake a oversized cupcake. I have been wanting to make one of these myself. I even have the pan. Okay on my bucket list this year for sure!

I love that she made these homemade favors of a special baked good recipe for the guests to take home. Cupcakes in a jar and pie mixes are very popular for baking parties and sweets parties.

And just look at that cutie pies face! Adorable!

I tried a new shape this time for a banner. I really liked how it turned out and it reminded me of a traditional bakery awning.

Exciting Announcement!

If you follow me on facebook than you saw the announcement on Friday that I will be a new contributor on one of my favorite sites Celebrations At Home. I am excited along with Kori of Paper and Pigtails to join Chris and her fabulous site in offering up readers unique ways to entertain and even some DIY craft ideas. Chris and I were able to finally meet last summer at the Hostess With The Mostess party and I adored her even more in person. We got to talking over the fall and felt that a little joint collaboration would be fun. I think out of most of the party sites, she and I are very similar. We love added elements from our home into our event we are styling. I am excited to share this and more ideas on stylish blissful entertaining on Celebrations At Home.

But don’t worry I wont ignore you over here either! Look for a new post from me soon over there!!
