It’s easy to want. Usually requiring some visual stimulation, that which catches our eye our attention can quickly become a source for our desire. Seeding a passion we will pursue to no ends if not for the limitations of ability and or the watchfulness of parents. Particularly one (parent) in particular i.e. God.

When we don’t or are unwilling to recognize our excesses, He will step in to say, with some immediacy, Enough! Before you go too far, this ends now. On these occasions we find ourselves looking or wondering, what then is persistence? Persistence is not being swayed by every circumstance that makes achieving difficult, but seeing and understanding which difficulty is a God send and which is something to be overcome. Usually during the course you will find there are some things characteristics we should let go and there are some things we need to take a hold on. This discovery though doesn’t happen unless we’re willing to be persistent in the execution of the vision laid before us. To be faithful to the vision which we have been prepared and have had imparted to us; we must endure certain things. We must also move through certain things to reach that place most optimum to be. This is the place called success.

Finding Inspiration in Unlikely Times and Places…

While walking today two songs crossed my music player. Both pieces of poetry by the Geto Boys. I say poetry because these two songs, while clearly explicit and intended to shock and awe, have a measure of meter which drew me to them at their first release and again years later during my search for inspiration. The first song “gotta let your nuts hang” and the follow up” mind playin tricks on me”; these two pieces reminded me of why it is I do what I do. And more so why I’m willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish what I mean to.

Though they may not serve as Godly influence or inspiration. These two pieces, in context, simply say be who you are and who you’re meant to be. The best version as you discern God calls you to be. What words are more eloquent than that?

It seems in the past few years I’ve been at somewhat a crossroad. I’ve had or there’s been a somewhat continuous moment to examine my workmanship, my life, my thinking of Christianity.

In these days, while faith was shaken and promise fallen to despair; and hope becoming a disparaging memory, there were three stones given me to set the library being built before you,

These three stones were presented to me at varying times during the trial and because of these I continue to maintain focus on the building being built not on the difficulty of the work.

Beginning with Proverbs 18:1 – A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire, he quarrels against all sound wisdom.

Followed by Proverbs 30:5 – Every word of God is tested (pure) He is a shield to those who put their trust in HIM….

And as a conclusion 1 Kings 8:56 – Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has filed of all his good promise which he spoke by Moses his servant.

Now this by no means is a complete view of the library being forged in me, nor is this a complete look at the center of Christian being (faith). But these blocks these three stones are the center line of why the work we (I) do is beneficial to us (me) and the Kingdom Of God. And still the work continues.
