I have no doubt that most of our regular readers would know better than to install a site-specific antivirus app...But unfortunately for the Internet, there are plenty of people who will believe that something called Facebook Antivirus could really offer them protection from malware on the popular social networking site.

Nothing could be further from the truth, of course. Facebook Antivirus is just another piece of useless malware feeding off unsuspecting users. Facebook is a tantalizing target for the scareware pushers with an audience of several hundred million users, many of whom don't know the difference between real and fake antivirus programs.

Like many other rogue antivirus apps, Facebook Antivirus uses images "borrowed" from legitimate software. The interface above, for example, is ripped from Panda Cloud Antivirus and the app also uses a Norton icon in certain places. The familiar yellow circle and stethoscope is all the convincing it would take for many users to install the malicious app.

Once a profile is infected, the rogue goes to work tagging your photos with 20 of your friends and then publishes the photo to your wall. Friends receive update notifications, stumble across the Antivirus, unknowingly click through, and spread the infection.

Facebook will no doubt shut down the app soon, but it's important to remember to be careful what you click. Less experienced users who need a little extra help identifying threats should check out some of the free tools we've mentioned before like WebOfTrust and the list of real free antivirus programs for Windows.

The good folks at F-Secure have posted a number of screenshots of FB Antivirus and you'll find information at Facebook Insider that will help you clean up your photos and wall if you've been victimized by the rogue program.

A taste of tears from the sky

It has almost been a month or more since it rained. The sun is shinning bright, and setting high in the sky. The land is dry and, dust settles above the ground. Water from the faucet is like having a free Water Heater. I almost burn my hand just washing the dishes. You'd sweat just by sitting in a corner. The sun can easily burn your skin, if you get expose too much. The feeling is so uneasy.

Wooohhh.. Summer came early ~ 2 months early that is.

Then clouds started to come and build up. Slowly covering the sun and building up a heavy rain....
So I think.....

And finally.... Rain started to poured and like tears from the sky. It then wet the dry land giving moisture to the plants. Even though it didn't last that long, atleast it rained......

The Lightning Thief

After few days of waiting..
I was able to watch "Percy Jackson's The Lightning Thief"
I can't comment on the movie, because it was good and made me think is Olympus really there.
Also seeing "Hell" as described by the movie.

I enjoyed watching the movie..
Not because it was funny??
Although there were comedic scenes..
The thing that really made me smile and laugh
are the reactions of the people watching the movie..
Ha Ha Ha..

My say about "AVATAR" - Kinda Late aint it?

The movie started its screening in theaters since last year. But due to some reasons and specially the holidays I wasn't able to watch "AVATAR". Some of my friends were able to watch the movie. And I so envy them for watching the most anticipated movie of 2009. Oh well, I thought i can never have the chance to watch that movie. Especially when the fireworks started to brighten the nights. It was already 2010. And still not even a peek of "AVATAR"

Finally the day came. January 22- I was so excited and eager to watch "AVATAR". I can finally see and know what the "AVATAR" was. Even though I had an idea from all the trailers that i have watched the feel of watching it on a big screen is still different. The excitement is there...

Then while watching the movie I was so amazed. And asked not to be disturbed while the movie was rolling. While I continue to watch and be amazed by the movie. There’s no wonder it won the "Best Picture" and "Best Director" in the Golden Globe Awards.

But somehow, as the movie ended there was something missing. As my colleague would say “It just didn’t had that spark!” But It was still worth it.

Having a job is one of the great achievements that one can attain. You can be proud of that you can earn in a legal way. But somehow people don’t see your efforts and endeavor to excel. Some businessman tends to be greedy and want to own as much as they can. Harbor it all for themselves. No matter what it takes, they can’t see the sacrifices that each employee puts into their work to earn for them and for the company. When it comes to performance, they perform excellent even with a few glitches this doesn’t affect the whole operation of the company. Immediately removing them without proper explanation and advice. Not even considering the condition of each person.
I can therefore that somehow “Life” is definitely “unfair”

For how many years, I have always wanted to own, If not to try and use a digital camera. I have no problem with simple digital cameras. What I have in mind was something high end. Same as a professional photographer would prefer.

Just recently, a friend from work just brought the thing. I was really curious and want to give it a try. I have a huge desire to take pictures. When he gave me a chance to handle the camera, I was all over it. Trying to figure out how it would work. After Prexy and Adz taught me a few curves. I was clicking everywhere. Taking pictures even though it’s not that important. I was just like a kid excited with his first toy, or a teen that just had his first phone. Here are some of the photos which I personally took.

The second one looks like a scene from I can’t really tell if it’s ok or what? By the way there’s a comment box. Post your comment so I can determine if I’m ready to be a photographer or I still need more training and lessons from a couple of masters Prexy and Adz….

How I "celebrated" my Holidays.

This holiday was different among the holidays that I had experienced. By late November, I already had an idea that my Holiday's for 2009 would be another different event.

There were happenings and events that came late into the year(2009). This had a big factor on "How" I would celebrate my Holiday's. Since I have already cause my mom too many troubles and dismay. That's why my brother and sister decided that mom needs to spend the rest of the holidays with them. To be in Manila for Christmas and New Year.

I was left here in Davao. To spend my Christmas in the office, at work. It was the first time for me to celebrate Christmas on a work place, with different people around and a silent Christmas. Not even a single fire works. ugh! Maybe because I was inside the office. ha ha! But I would still consider that night as a real silent night. lol

Then came the last day of 2009. I felt awful not being with my family. Although I was with my girlfriend and her family. Somehow it didn't feel the same. New atmosphere, same time i feel not welcome, somehow i have an eerie feeling being there. I just cant help it to feel uncomfortable. Maybe because of the hot environment even through the night, or maybe i just don't like the attitude of the head of the family. As I gazed at the sky and stared at the stars, as the people counted for the end of the year, not even a single fire works display to brighten the night. I had these thoughts in mind.

I remembered those days when Christmas had it spark and worth celebrating. When "papa" was still alive. During Christmas eve and New Years eve we would cook and have something to put on the table during those times. After he died last October 2008. Me and my mom still celebrated those days. We were still able to cook and prepare. Inspite of the lost.

But as 2009 closes, they weren't any where near from me. sad....
"Its part of growing up.." so they say..
as for now.. Goodbye 2009 and Hello 2010..

I think something is really wrong with me today. I haven't slept. I was awake for more than 40hrs and just hand 2hrs of rest for another schedule of work.
Am I Restless? Yes indeed I am. But still manages to keep up in spite of the restless nights and less hours of sleep.

Lately, I've been experiencing a couple of discomfort in my chest. And recently, due to this discomfort, I am having a hard time or difficulty in breathing. Not necessarily originated form the internal chest cavity but somewhat it's just superficial. But somehow it is causing me in having difficulty in breathing. My chest can't easily expand when I need to breath.

I suspect that it is due to my position when I sleep or take a nap, or to bed that I lay each night. Considering that its hard one. I don’t even have any foam or something to make my bed softer than what it is right now. But still sacrifices are needed just to with the decision that I made. Do be away and be away from my family. To work and earn some for the things that I long to have. –Materialistic- sometimes I hate myself for this. Why can’t I be contented with what is have and live with it. How about you? Are you contented of what you have? Where you are? :D

Hopefully I can still breath by the time that I can afford and have what I wanted. :D
