Otherwise known as outside of Boeing as the Phantom Ray.Which is based on the X-45C. It is a unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV).It is being developed for DARPA and J-UCAS.

The Boeing Phantom Ray the UCAV

The maiden test flight that was suppose to happen this month was rescheduled for sometime early 2011.

That's the Phantom Ray getting taxied

A SCA (Shuttle Carrier Aircraft) taxied it from St. Louis, Missouri to Dryden Flight Research Center get ready for its maiden flight.

Dryden Flight Research Center is located inside Edwards Air force Base it is an aeronautical research center operated by NASA.It holds a bunch pretty things on its runway....

A bunch of expensive toys you'll never play with

There are two SCA; The 747-100 model, and the other one is a short range 747-100SR. .After the Shuttle program ends in 2011, the two SCAs will be used to transport the orbiters to their final resting place.
and the two SCAs will prolly rest there too (j/k....i think...prolly not...)

heres a laugh

Sukhoi PAK FA

2010-11-04T08:49:00.002-04:00

Sukhoi makes all my favorite jets , this one is gonna kick ass.

Also the PAK FA would be the first fifth generation fighter with complete 3-D thrust vectoring along all three aircraft axes:roll, yaw and pitch. How cool is that??

Its gonna be more maneuverable than the F-22 at the cost of making it less stealthy than the F-22.

Boeing Phantom Ray

2010-10-15T20:06:00.002-04:00

Here is the Boeing Phantom Ray.A Unmanned Combat Air Vehicle(UCAV). It will have its first flight very soon.Sometime in December

Boeing funds it themselves. So there is no aim for any programs ,such as the X-45 was with the DARPA,USAF,and J-UCAS

They based it off the two drones they built earlier the two X-45s.Which flew its first flight May 22, 2002.The wingspan of the Phantom Ray is 50 ft, while its length is 36 ft .Its max speed = Mach 0.85 ,so it cruises abit above 610mph this data may change

I think the tests well prove very useful in hunter/killer testing .I am sure like the X-45s these well work together well and be very conservative like it.

Have a good day
