No, Really!

Join us at Empowerment Library on Tuesday, September 2nd at 7 PM Eastern for a hilariously funny conversation with Janette Barber & Laura Banks, Authors of Embracing Your Big Fat Ass! You don’t want to miss this show!!

Embracing Your Big Fat Ass is not your typical self help book. It is the truly genius weaving together of real stories and anecdotes that artfully balance between the hysterically funny and deeply poignant struggles & experiences commonly faced by women everywhere.

This book encourages women toward self empowerment, self love, and self acceptance, all the while making you cry until you laugh and laugh until you cry.

Janette Barber, a former stand up comic, is a 6 time Emmy award winning TV producer (winning for The Rosie O’Donnell Show & The View). She is also a writer, having co-authored the USA Today Bestseller, “Breaking the Rules” with her writing partner Laura Banks.

Janette is a former TV Food Network Host and executive producer. She has been a spokesperson for Molly McButter where she created original low fat recipes and healthy eating tips for their website and ad campaigns. Janette wrote a year-long recipe column in the famed cook book section of First for Women Magazine, “Winning at Slimming with Janette.”

Currently she creates healthy recipes for her blog, is now in development with ElmLife on creating a web-based, interactive, artificially intelligent software guide. An animated version of Janette, herself, will host the guide and interact with users to help them develop better, healthier eating habits.

Janette has lost over 100 pounds and has maintained that loss for over twenty years largely by learning new ways to make favorite recipes so that they tasted fattening but were actually healthy. This was the concept behind her TVFN show, “Lighten Up! with Janette and Christina,” which she co-hosted with Martha Stewart producer, Christina Deyo.

Laura Banks has toured the country as a stand up comic and improvisational player originally working with Whoopi Goldberg in the troupe Spontaneous Combustion in San Diego. Next came starring roles in three indie films for Roger Corman, followed by the Manhattan Dating Project in 2002, which Laura wrote, produced, and starred in.

Laura has hosted the TV talk show Inside Space for the SciFi Channel as well as having hosted a TV infomercial for the famous Pierre Michael Salons, 5th Ave. at the Trump Tower, New York. Her radio career began writing and performing nationally syndicated comedy bits for Dick Clark’s United Stations Radio Networks. She was also the voice of the NBA (National Basketball Association).

She then co-authored, with writing partner Janette Barber, the USA Today Bestseller Breaking the Rules, Last Ditch Tactics for Landing the Man of Your Dreams (Career Press) and Love Online (Career Press).

Laura is the host of Star Gal Radio, broadcasting on CRN Digital Talk, and writes a humorous astrology column on Tarot.com, boasting a million readers per month.

Laura is also currently the co-owner of Targeted Nutritionals, LLC with her business partner, Dr. Alan Pressman working as a producer within the radio infomercial industry.

This show is going to be funny, poignant and totally empowering, so please join us on Empowerment Library on Tuesday, September 2 at 7:00 PM eastern time. We live in a hectic, fast-paced society. There’s always something going on, whether it be working, social activities or taking care of our families. In the midst of our busy lives, we tend to overlook how crucial it is to care for ourselves, too.
Think of self-care like a yummy recipe. It requires several key ingredients in order to turn out just right. These include the right amount of sleep for us, healthy foods, exercise, time spent around supporting people, and plenty of inspiration in our lives. But there’s one ingredient that really makes this recipe truly magnificent.
The sweetest ingredient in the self-care recipe is self-love. If we don’t love ourselves, we aren’t going to bother to care for ourselves in the first place because we don’t feel worthy of doing so. Just as God cherishes each of us, we must also learn to cherish ourselves and give ourselves the best possible tender loving care. Being busy people, this is not always easy to achieve. Here are a few tips to help you to give yourself the love and attention you truly deserve.

Don’t beat yourself up! Ah yes, the blame shame game! We’ve all done it. “Gosh, am I ever stupid.” “If I had only done this differently.” Or, my personal favorite, “But I’m not good enough, smart enough, pretty enough”, etc. What are you achieving by beating yourself up over past events? You’re simply making yourself feel worse, and that will only decrease your motivation. Why not try forgiving yourself instead? Say to yourself, “Tomorrow is another day, and I can learn to do things in a way that I can appreciate and in a way that makes me feel better about myself and my situation.” Look into a mirror and remind yourself that you are a beloved child of God. Tell yourself, “I have the courage to make positive changes in my life.” Find the support you need to help you to shift your attitude from negativity to empowerment and contentment.

Next, treat yourself! Engage in an activity you enjoy, at least once a week. This doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money. You could take a stroll through nature’s splendor, cuddle up with a good book, or volunteer for an organization you appreciate. As long as it brings a smile to your face and a song to your heart, that’s what’s important.

Finally, reach out! The power of friendship to bolster our confidence and remind us how wonderful we truly are is huge! Have you ever had someone say to you that you made their day or that you made them happy in some way? How did that make you feel? Did it make you feel better about yourself and your importance in the world? That’s part of the wonderful power of friendship. When we discover how much other people love us, it helps us to love ourselves more, in the process.

In closing, let me share a great website link with you. It’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face. This site is called the Automatic Flatterer. Get ready to smile!Click here!If you’d like some extra help in learning to love yourself more, I’d be honored to witness and explore with you as your coach.Together, we can find tools and techniques to help you recognize just how lovable, beautiful and incredible you truly are.
I wish you all the love in the world.
NOTE: This article will appear in tomorrow's Heartsong newsletter. Thank you, dearest Arlene, for inspiring this post.

We all experience feelings of loneliness at times, sometimes mild, sometimes very intense. Sometimes it's very hard to shake when these feelings appear. Today, I'd like to share a few tips that I use to heal loneliness. I sincerely hope they help you, as well.

Create and / or cultivate fulfilling relationships. This is a key practice in combatting sadness and loneliness. Get out and meet people who have similar interests. You might consider doing this by attending a church, spiritual center, gardening club, support group or community center of some kind. What activities do you enjoy? Think about what really makes you happy when you're fully engaged in doing it. Pick a few of these, and look for places where you can meet and get to know others who also enjoy this or similar activities or lifestyles. If getting out is difficult for you for whatever reason, the internet is another way to make new friends from across the world. Start with Google groups, Yahoo! groups, and MSN groups to browse for communities of interest to you.

Pets! We aren't all animal lovers, but if you are, a pet could be a terrific medicine to help heal your lonely heart. If we show love to our animals, they will love us with passion and total joy. They don't judge us, they never condemn us, and they can almost always make us smile!

Music! Finally, music is one of my favorite ways to deal with feelings of loss, fear or loneliness. Music soothes the soul, opens the heart and can totally transform our entire outlook on life. It brings joy, hope and comfort.

Here's an example of music healing the heart. This is my absolute favorite song to play when I'm sad or lonely. It's called, "This is to Mother You", and is written and performed by Irish singer, Sinead O'Connor. This is a video of Sinead performing this song live in Rome. Please right click on the following link, and choose "open in a new window" from the options that appear.

Sinead O'Connor, "This is to Mother You", Live in Rome

The Lyrics:

This is to mother you
To comfort you and get you through
Through when your nights are lonely
Through when your dreams are only blue
This is to mother you

This is to be with you
To hold you and to kiss you too
For when you need me I will do
What your own mother didn't do
Which is to mother you

All the pain that you have known
All the violence in your soul
All the wrong things you have done
I will take from you when I come

All mistakes made in distress
All your unhappiness
I will take away with my kiss, yes
I will give you tenderness

For child I am so glad I've found you
Although my arms have always been around you
Sweet bird although you did not see me
I saw you

And I'm here to mother you
To comfort you and get you through
Through when your nights are lonely
Through when your dreams are only blue
This is to mother you

May you find the comfort, joy and love you so richly deserve. Don't worry though... it's worth the wait!

Do you want to know a secret? It's a secret that really shouldn't be so secret, so I encourage you to share it with your loved ones!

Would you like to know what amazing ingredient will:

Increase your happiness?

Bring you greater motivation?

Skyrocket your self-confidence?

Attract more prosperity?

Help you in rediscovering the amazing person that you are?

Are you curious yet?

The secret is...

GRATITUDE!

That's right. The more grateful we are for those wonderful people, circumstances and material things that we already have in our lives, the greater our happiness, peace, and prosperity becomes! By that same token, the more grateful we are for our own gifts, skills, and all those things that we do well already, the better we'll come to feel about ourselves, *and*, the more determined we'll become to do our very best in all areas of our lives!

Don't believe me? Try it!

Create a list of all that you're grateful for, right now, in this very moment. See if you can think of a hundred things to be grateful for. You'll be surprised how fun and joyful this exercise is, and how much lighter, happier and more energetic you'll feel when you finish!

Leave me a comment and share with me how this helps you! Make it a daily ritual, and your life will improve in incredible ways!

More on "self-gratitude" later this week.

I'm grateful for you!

In Love and Appreciation,
Kim, the Spiritual Fulfillment Coach

Want to Find Yourself?

Hi Ladies,

Do you ever find yourself wondering where the "real you" is hiding? In it, she was discussing a new program she had put together which included interviews with many well-known spiritual and personal growth mentors. As I read about those who would be interviewed, I found myself marveling, as I’d heard of almost all of them, and knew and deeply loved the work of several of these wonderful people. “Wow”, I thought, “what an amazing opportunity these people are getting to share their gifts and their knowledge.”

I had no sooner had that thought than an almost physically tangible voice said in my ear, “Write her!” I was startled. “What?”, I thought. I was sure I had misunderstood this intuitive guidance. “Write her!”, I heard again. “You’re meant to be a part of this program… allow your own gifts and light to shine!”

I found myself overcome with doubt. My colleague was a renowned author, speaker and teacher. I owned her work! I knew it’s quality and how amazing it was. She was well established in her field. And myself? I’d written three ebooks… they were well thought out and were greatly appreciated. But I had only been established for less than two years. I was promoting my services, but was certainly not as well known as my colleague or any of the other people she planned to interview. I felt torn… should I follow my guidance? What was I to do?

It’s so easy to let feelings of unworthiness keep us stuck in our limitations and frustrations. Often, it’s far simpler to give up rather than to move in a direction in which we’re clearly being guided. How often have you found yourself fearing possible success if you take particular action steps? It can be scary to put ourselves out there and really embrace our God-given talents and purposes.

There’s great empowerment and transformation to be found in a seemingly simple, three-letter word. And that word is “yes!” Saying yes to stepping bravely and boldly into the unknown, yes to answering Spirit’s calling, yes to following our hearts and sharing ourselves with those who could richly benefit from hearing our stories and our wisdom.

Each of us, no matter our path in life, has much we can share with others that would make a profound, positive difference in their lives. Though we often know this on some level, it’s another thing entirely to shine our light and open ourselves to others. What if what we have to say isn’t well received? And what if it is? How will that transform others? How will it transform us?

Think about this for a moment. How often have you, for instance, heard someone share a powerful experience from his or her own life that has inspired you? And how often after hearing such a powerful message have you thought, “Would anything in my life inspire others as that inspired me?”

We can all be inspirations to one another. You may have a gift for tutoring school kids, or for sewing beautiful garments to light up the faces of those who are blessed to receive them. Maybe you can cook delicious recipes, or perhaps you have the gift of comforting the sick or those near to transition. Or maybe, as has happened in my life so often, you simply say something one day that, without you knowing it, changes someone’s life for the better.

Saying yes takes courage. It took a great deal of courage before I plucked up enough nerve to write to my colleague, but oh, am I ever glad I did! I can’t even express in words the joy that I’ve been blessed with from saying yes to that calling. I not only shared a delightful and thought-provoking interview, but I also made a new and wonderful friend in my colleague!

Will you take this important step and choose the power of “yes” in your own life? You very well may transform your life, and the lives of others, in amazing ways you can’t even imagine as yet.

In the next Heartsong Lighthouse article, we’ll continue this discussion. If you aren't a Heartsong reader yet, why not join? I've been called "thick-headed" and "stubborn as a mule" more times than I'd care to recall. Just this morning, as a matter of fact, I felt my sheer stubbornness taking over again. And you want to know something? It paid off!
You may have noticed that I've added a lot of social bookmarks to the site recently. I'm not the most technical person on Earth, so at first, going into my HTML code and trying to figure out how to add everything seemed rather daunting. But, like with everything else, practice really does seem to make perfect, or, if not perfect, at least pretty darn good!
I was struggling with adding a script to my template this morning, and, try as I may, I couldn't get it to show up here on the blog. But I remained persistent. With gritted teeth and a head that was beginning to ache from sitting too long before my screen, I kept at it until... voila! I finally got it to work! My stubborn determination paid off!
The point is that, contrary to what some people may tell you, stubbornness can often be a good trait to have! Look how many wonderful historical figures made a profound difference in the world due to their sheer tanacity! Thomas Edison, Abraham Lincoln, Helen Keller, and Martin Luther King come to mind, as well as many others.
And the moral? Don't give up on your dreams!! We can achieve great things and inspire many people, in ways both big and small. Hold your head high and press forward! You never know what amazing deeds your personal determination will inspire in others!
Much Love,
Kim

Special Announcement from Kim... Don't Miss This!

Hi Everyone,

Tomorrow night, I have the joy of being interviewed by Rev. Dr. Kimberly Marooney, author of the wonderful books, "Angel Blessings" and "Angel Love." Our topic will be, "Experiencing Worthiness Through CHEER." What is CHEER? Come join us to find out all about this wonderful process!

Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 8:30 PM eastern time, 5:30 PM pacific. I will be appearing with Kimberly on her wonderful Soul Connections internet radio program:

We all catch ourselves feeling unworthy sometimes, don't we? We don't feel like we're good enough, smart enough, wealthy enough, etc. It's been my personal experience that these unworthy feelings tend to drag us down, make us depressed and leave us stagnating and unmotivated. And that doesn't help us to achieve our dreams and desires! So let's change that together, shall we?

Join Kimberly and I as we discuss the CHEER formula for discovering and cultivating our own self-worth, and using that new-found self-worth to achieve amazing results in all areas of our lives.

Did you know that one of the most insidious obstacles to attracting your desires is something most of us don't give much thought to? I know I hadn't really
thought of it before...

Give this some thought because when discovered and aligned in your choices, the entire Universe just seems to line up on your behalf.

My friend and colleague Anita Pathik Law says one of the most critical pieces to leveraging the Law of Attraction is to truly identify and give language
to your purpose.

Yes, Purpose...soul level - the reason you incarnated on the planet - PURPOSE.

She says that when we focus on desires that are not aligned with our unique purpose in the world that we often experience a lack of flow. This includes
not manifesting a specific desire and receiving undesired manifestations in our lives.

And, when honest, as she reminds us, you really don't want the Universe to supply you with something that is not in your highest good, in particular when
it is out of alignment with your purpose; do you?

Awakening to Purpose:
http://www.powerofourway.com/cmd.php?Clk=2230264
is a powerful key to effortless manifestation and beginning on January 14th you can initiate this discovery with Anita during a powerful six week teleprogram.

Chock full of some of the most amazing exercises (over 200 pages of powerful content, models and exercises) that walk you through the 7 Keys to Awakening to Purpose, this transformational program will change how you view yourself and your unique role in the world.
http://www.powerofourway.com/cmd.php?Clk=2230264

Plus, when you register at
http://www.powerofourway.com/cmd.php?Clk=2230264
you will also receive well over $1,000 in extra gifts (including one from me!)

Anita is known for manifesting some pretty wild things, including a surprise, tax free check for $50,000, and she attributes most of it to aligning with
her purpose.

But, it wasn't until she aligned with her Purpose that things really began to flow.

Purpose gives you a foundation from which all else comes from. It brings meaning, focus and clarity and often shifts our perspective, calling forth a much
higher energy of conscious creation.

Check it out and open to a flow beyond your wildest imagination! For  less than three dinners out you will discover;

Þ an incredible untapped power that exists within you,

Þ repattern non-serving and obstacle creating beliefs, and
Þ discover simple yet profound keys to manifesting and aligning with masterminding principles in a way that leverages other universal laws...

You can get all the details at
http://www.powerofourway.com/cmd.php?Clk=2230264

I decided to post more on the topic of love, except this time, I'd like to concentrate on the love we experience for, and from, our beloved pets.

My family lost our beloved beagle, Flip, sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. She died very suddenly and very tragically, and my entire family have been left heart-broken by her sudden loss. We miss her amusing antics, her bouncy persona and her loving disposition. She was the queen of the hill, and did she ever know it! She was spoiled by her people, and has left us with so many wonderful memories to treasure.

One of my favorite stories to tell about Flip is how, during the Winter months, when we always had a fire going and a large wood pile stacked up under our kitchen window, Flip use to climb up on the wood pile and gaze through the window at us, or survey her entire domain from up there. We were always scared she'd fall off and break her neck or her back, but she never did, fortunately. I regret that there aren't any pictures of her up there, as that'd really be something to treasure down the road. But we'll always have that sweet little memory, and we'll always treasure Flip in our hearts.

Our pets bring us such unconditional, unreserved love. When we lose them so unexpectedly, our sadness can be incredibly great. But eventually, we'll be able to replace some of that sadness and grief with laughter and our treasured remembrances. Our pets would want us to be happy, and keep our hearts forever open and loving, as they always kept their hearts so open and loving for us. If you, or someone you love, is also experiencing the loss of a beloved animal friend, I encourage you to treasure the time you spent together and hold your pet close to your heart always. I firmly believe that someday, we'll see our beloved ones, people and animals, again.

Because Flip's passing was so sudden and tragic, it left me feeling a bit overwhelmed, and I wanted to memorialize her in some special way, for all she'd given me. You can see my memorial to her, and post your own, for free, at:

http://www.petsremembrance.com

Today, we bury my grandfather, who passed on at around 11:05 on Saturday night. I'll sing the first, second and fourth verses of How Great Thou Art at his grave side service, at 11:00 this morning.

The funeral, which was held at 7:00 last night after an hour of viewing for we family and two hours of receiving friends, was huge... five songs, countless family and friends, one of those old-time priechers that annoy me so much... but he would of loved it, and that's the primary thing.

Like everybody else, I'm incredibly tired. Ready for the rest of this to be over with. Will write more when I can again think straight.

RIP,
So... trying this again!...

--------------------

Dear All,
It's proven to be a difficult and exhausting period for me personally. My maternal grandfather has been ill for some time now. Last week, he took a turn
for the worse, and was hospitalized on Wednesday morning. He seemed to rebound Thursday, and had quite a wonderful day, talking and laughing with family
members and friends.
By Friday, however, he had hit a downward spiral. He passed away Saturday, July 29, at a little after 11 PM.
Making the various arrangements has been a logistical nightmare for the family. We'll find out today when we'll be able to proceed with the funeral.
This entire process has been totally exhausting, physically, mentally and emotionally. In times like these, I have to remind myself that it's really *okay*!
It's okay to experience our personal turmoil, and to honor it as a part of life. It's okay to grieve, to release all the emotion inside of us. It's
okay to feel pain, exhaustion, anger, frustration, and yes, relief. That's okay!
I feel all of those emotions as I sit here writing this entry. This is simply a period... a process... a part of the journey. I honor this painful experience,
and the process of getting through it empowers and strengthens me on all levels.
So, when you're facing turmoil, my advice to you is to honor the emotions, the experiences and the people and places involved. I'm not saying to let your
emotions run away with you or to wallow in the experiences. But honor them, experience them, release them with love, and then begin to heal.
I leave you with this quote from Elisabeth Kubler Ross, whose work on death and dying has given so much to this world. "People are like stained-glass windows.
They sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."
Elisabeth Kubler Ross
Shine your light, now and always,
Kim

The Beauty of You

Hi All,

Happy Fourth to those who are celebrating today. As America celebrates her independence today, there are bound to be lots of patriotic songs performed, including "God Bless America" and "America the Beautiful."

I can't help but feel a great deal of pride for the sheer natural beauty there is to be found all over my country. Today gives we Americans a chance to revel in that beauty and wonder. As we celebrate America, I think that it's important to remember to celebrate "ourselves", as well. God mad each of us a special and unique human being, each with our own dreams, ideals and loves. We are all beautiful, because Spirit specially designed each of us. Doesn't that make you feel so very cherished? Each of us is a precious individual, and that's worth celebrating!

Love To All,

Well, tomorrow is the beginning of Summer. I'm not quite sure where the Spring got to, or the month of June, for that matter. Nevertheless, just as I think of Spring as a time of rebirth, I usually think of Summer as a time of celebration. The kids are out of school, the birds sing joyously for all they're worth, (as they are currently doing right outside the window above my desk), and the trees and flowers are blooming profusely.

Remember to take some time to celebrate life this Summer! Try to find the joys that are sprinkled throughout your life. Notice the pretty flowers springing up in your yard, the great trees stretching their branches Heavenward, the grand tall building you work in, or something else that is beautiful to you. Listen to the laughter of children, watch water flowing in a stream or fountain, or collect some pretty sea shells. All these can be recognized for the beautiful moments that they truly are. The point is, find something that is beautiful to you, and bask in it, revel in it, and enjoy it! Celebrate you this Summer, and all year round, for you are a much loved child of God.

It's a warm, windy, stormy morning here in the southeast. Sometimes the sun will peek around the clouds momentarily, to warm and nurture the earth with it's warm rays. Sometimes, the rain pours down to soak the soil with it's shining drops. Sometimes, the wind picks up, bending the branches low and breathing life into all of creation.

I commented to my father this morning that it was a beautiful day. Dad replied, "Oh yeah. Beautiful... storming, and rain pouring and wind blowing, when I'm trying to get things done outside."

Yet, I am still sure that, indeed, it is a beautiful day. The rain and sunshine both nurture the earth. The wind causes some chaos, but it, too, serves a purpose.

Sometimes in our life, the rain will fall, seemingly raining on our parade. The wind may seem to blow away our hopes and dreams. The sun may refuse to stop shining, even though our hearts are in pain. Yet, all these situations can serve as nurturing times for us. It is up to us to figure out how they may serve us, how they may make us stronger, braver, better than we currently are. Bless these times in your life, for they are your teachers, and can guide you to exploring your true beauty and many strengths.

If I can assist you in this exploration through any of the services I offer, please don't hesitate to contact me via my website.:

This morning, it was again demonstrated to me just how wonderful and downright tenacious nature is! I was awakened by a tremendous storm. Lightning streaked madly across a blackened sky, thunder rattled the windows, and the rain gushed in torrents. The wind picked up, snapping off limbs and branches and causing general chaos.

As the storm cleared and the sun began to peek over the horizon, the birds began their lovely morning chorus, lifting their sweet voices heavenward in joyous song. When the huge gusts of wind seemed to threaten to blow them straight off of their perches, they still sang as joyously as ever before. The wind and weather wasn't a deterrent to their song, and didn't dampen their joy in the slightest.

We can take a lesson from these birds. No matter which way the wind blows us in life, no matter the violence of the storms or the ``` of the lightning strikes, let us always remember that we, like them, were put here with a song to sing. Our road may not be smooth all the time, but let us not forget the importance of singing our song, of discovering and fulfilling our life's purpose, and of brightening our world in whatever way we can.

A song performed by the late great Cass Elliot:

http://www.casselliot.com

says it nicely.:

"Make your own kind of music. Sing your own special song. Make your own kind of music, even when nobody else sings along."

Have a blessed day, and keep on singin'!

It's funny. Every time I think Spring is here to stay, we get a cold snap. Today there's a fire in the fireplace, and I've even gone so far as to turn my portable heater on in here to make things more comfortable. The temperatures were in the upper thirties last night, and are only going to warm up gradually over the next few days.

I didn't begin this entry with the intention of providing you a western North Carolina weather report. Rather, I want to use the weather as a metaphor for our lives. Sometimes, things seem rather cold and bleak. Sometimes, we can't seem to find a positive, no matter how hard we look for one. The trick, when this happens, is to know that life runs in cycles, just as the year has it's seasons. Warmth, love and happiness will return to brighten our lives and our days once again. In the interim, we must simply open our hearts, and allow God's love to radiate through us, healing our hurts and comforting our souls. It reminds me of that John Denver song that says, "Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy." We must always remember, even in the hardest times when our hearts feel cold, that the sun will not stay hidden behind the clouds forever. God and our angels are always eager to share their love with us. One of my guides is fond of telling me, "Even if you can't seem to find a blessing anywhere, it doesn't mean they aren't there." Remember those words in your own times of difficulty, and know that the sun will shine again!

Have a sunshiny day,

Kim

HAVE FAITH IN YOUR DREAMS

Hi All,

Do you remember that great song from Cinderella? She sings, in part, "A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you're fast asleep. In dreams you will lose your heartaches. Whatever you wish for, you keep."

So often we put our dreams on the back burner. Other things so often take priority in our lives; our career, our family, etc. We forget how important our dreams really are.

Walt Disney once said, "If you can dream it, you can do it." And isn't dear Walt a prime example of what dreamers can accomplish? Where would we be without Mickey and his buddies, after all? :) Think of all the smiles and giggles we would have never gotten to experience without Disney and his dream!

Thomas Edison was another ingenious dreamer who really shed light on the world, literally!

And what about Harriet Tubman? Just look what she achieved thanks to her dream of helping to set her people free?

Find a dream that matters to you, and set about the process of achieving it! Nobody said it was easy, but remember, you're never alone. God and your angels are always there to guide and support you! And like the Cinderella song concludes, "No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true!"

Happy dreaming!

Namaste,

Kim

"THE JOY OF LETTING GO"

good morning everyone!

As I stated in my last post, it is very difficult at times to let go and let God work. We desperately want to hold on tenaciously to our own problems or uncertainties, and deal with them in our own way. We often fail to remember that God may have a higher or better purpose or greater solution, and it is only by turning our difficulties over to God, that we will find out what this purpose is.

Rather than thinking of letting go as a struggle and something you just don't want to do, recognize it as the joy that it can be for you! By letting go and turning everything over to God / Goddess / Spirit, you release the burden and allow it to fall from your shoulders. Drink in the feeling that sweet release brings you. You no longer need to fear that the situation won't be taken care of, for it is now completely in God's loving hands, and God will handle everything perfectly and in Divine timing.

Here is a wonderful little meditation exercise that I came up with once in order to release my burdens over to God. It will only take a few minutes, and it works beautifully.:

1. Make yourself comfortable. Loosen any tight or restricting clothing, get in a comfortable position, and begin to take slow, deep breaths. Feel yourself begin to relax.

2. As you continue to take long, deep breaths, see yourself surrounded by a bubble or dome of protective light. Feel yourself completely safe, completely secure, and deeply loved and deeply relaxed.

3. As you continue to breathe, imagine any number of colorful balloons tied to various parts of your body. These brightly colored balloons represent any stressful burdens, situations or circumstances that you are holding onto. Look carefully at these balloons, recognize what each one represents. How do these burdens make you feel?

4. One by one, ask these burdens if they are ready to be released into God's loving care. Listen closely to what they tell you. They may tell you in words, emotions, visions or in some other way that is perfect for you.

5. When you have asked each burden if it is ready to be released, prepare to release those that are ready. Archangel Michael appears before you with his sword of light. He is here to help you in releasing your burdens. When you are ready, ask Archangel Michael to cut the cords that tie the burdens ready for release, to your body. Feel the relief and joy as they rise into the air and soar towards Heaven! As they rise, watch the colorful balloons turn into colorful butterflies, which fly gracefully to Heaven, to be lovingly cared for by God. Thank Archangel Michael for his assistance.

6. Recognize how you feel now that some of your burdens have been released. Do you feel different than you did when you began this exercise?

Remember, you may not be willing to release all of your burdens at once, but as time passes, you will feel secure in releasing more and more of them to God's care. Meanwhile, honor the process, and when you are ready, you will experience the joy of letting go!

Namaste!

Kim
