「大家好!
是咁的，我叫BEAR。」
可能你都聽過呢句對白，但你對我有冇印象呢？
我係2012 a cappella 學生領袖訓練計劃其中一個學員，
1/4/2012既無伴奏露天音樂會我都有份演出。

入正題，
今次《時光䟇極限》的演出，
我有幸可以參與其中，
真心感謝Patrick，以及家偉、天恩兩位。

在這數個星期，
我在上課天和周末分別花了一天來觀看香港旋律的排練。
人手不足的時候，
我會替兩位Deputy Stage Managers們攝錄綵排片段，
讓表演者能夠在餘暇中練習舞步。

其實，我的工作微不足道，
但每次我來到排練室的時候，
總會有人跟我說：「謝謝你！」，
雖然只是三個字，
可是，留在我心中是窩心的暖意。
令我感覺，
香港旋律不只是一隊才華滿溢的無伴奏合唱組合！

音樂，
感動人心的時刻常有。
依偎於練習室一角的時候，
偶然會隨著夜深而傷感，
聽到了「曖昧」可以「愛或情借來填一晚」；
聽到了「國王的新衣」卻會「無盡興奮」。
只要香港旋律在唱，我的心就能尾隨他們去一趟旅行。

排練的過程中，
我吸收到的比我付出的遠多了，
比如體驗到一場演出的籌備，
了解到公演劇場的運作，
感受到幕後付出的努力，
我都得到了機會嘗試。

現在，
即使《時光䟇極限》完畢了，
《香港2012國際無伴奏合唱節》也結束了，
我的腦海內依然充滿著觀摩香港旋律排練的畫面，
我的心仍然希望可以再見到香港旋律的成員們，
我的嘴巴繼續重複著耳熟能詳的歌調。

不用驚訝，這只不過是香港旋律的魔力！

Hello, I'm Bear from the 2012 a cappella Training Program. Today, I would like to talk about my experience in participating in the production of 'Si Gwong Gei'.

Firstly, I would like to thank Patrick, Anita and Thomas for giving me the chance of being a part of this experience. I treasure the opportunity to observe a splendid theatre production.

For the last few weeks, I had been attending the rehearsals of Hong Kong Melody Makers and helped filming occasionally. It wasn’t a difficult job, though I messed up some times. Still, the filming work wasn't my main focus, it was to learn while enjoying their performance.

Sometimes when I came over, some HKMM members would come and thank me for putting effort into this show. I can feel the warm appreciation and the welcome for me, then I realized, it is their hearts which makes HKMM the best and special in their own way.

On the days when the rehearsal takes place at night, it's easy for me to be emotional. When I hear their songs, I can always bring out my sadness and happiness as there are quite a lot of different songs with a variety of feelings. It felt like as the songs were taking me on journeys.

During these days, I am always receiving rather than contributing. I learn life-long skills from the rehearsals, but all I did was to record paragraphs. The theatre offered me opportunities.

Now that all the events are gone, what has left is my heart for a cappella. Joining this theatre production definitely brings me a lot of admiration for Hong Kong Melody Makers.

經過兩場露天音樂會和十分成功的2012國際無伴奏音樂盛典，又是時候熱切期待2012無伴奏合唱大師系列–Rockapella!
After two outdoor concerts and a very successful a cappella Extravaganza, it's time to be excited for the 2012 acappella Master Series: Rockapella!

全男班無伴奏合唱組合Rockapella成立於1986年，出道至今，他們在美國和日本一共出版了十七張專輯。2006年他們曾訪問香港，為大家留下深刻印象。這次我們有幸邀請他們重臨香港，為本年度的無伴奏合唱大師系列作表演嘉賓。
Rockapella was formed in 1986 and have released seventeen albums to date, both in the USA as well as Japan. We had the pleasure of meeting them during their last visit to Hong Kong in 2006, and we are very happy to welcome them back to the city once again! Here is a photo we took with them in 2006.

國際殿堂級組合The Real Group及The Swingle Singers曾為我們擔任無伴奏合唱大師系列表演嘉賓，並得到高度評價。這次你又豈能錯過4月20日Rockapella的精彩表演呢？
Our previous Master Series concerts have featured The Real Group and The Swingle Singers, and were very well received. Don't miss out on this year's show on April 20!

筆者小記：記得第一次接觸無伴奏合唱，是小學時看到Rockapella演出電視節目'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego'的主題曲，時至今日，這首歌仍然是他們膾炙人口的歌曲之一。聽到此曲，記緊大叫''Do it Rockapella '﹗
A personal note: Rockapella was my first exposure to a cappella music, as I watched the TV show 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego' when I was in primary school! This is still Rockapella's most famous song. Remember to shout 'Do it Rockapella' before they sing this song!

我們很高興宣佈今屆無伴奏合唱節會有另一隊來自美國的隊伍參與，他們就是Yellowjackets and Friends！
We are very happy to announce the arrival of an ADDITIONAL a cappella group from the USA for the Hong Hong 2012 International a cappella Festival: Yellowjackets and Friends!

提到Yellowjackets，如果大家有看過美國國家廣播電視公司的無伴奏合唱比賽節目「The Sing-Off」，相信對這隊來自美國羅切斯特大學的五人男子組合Yellowjackets一定不會陌生，以下是他們在比賽中的片段：
If you've watched Season Three of NBC's 'The Sing-Off', you'll definitely know the faces of Yellowjackets and Friends: five of its members performed as part of the University of Rochester Yellowjackets:

這次和他們一起到香港為我們表演的，還有在Urban Method中負責人聲敲擊的Richard Steighner，他精湛的口技，一定能提升整個演出的可觀性。
You should also know Richard, who was the vocal percussionist of the group Urban Method:

另一位要向大家推介的就是Christopher Diaz，他的來頭可不小，Christopher不單在The Sing-Off節目中負責編曲，他亦擔任合唱指導，為一眾參賽者提供訓練。
最後要為大家介紹的就是Reynaldo Deguzman，他當然不只是Yellowjackets的朋友而已，他更是一個舞台劇演員，他飾演過多部著名百老匯音樂劇如灰姑娘等等。
They are joined by Christopher Diaz, one of the arrangers and coaches for The Sing-Off, as well as Reynaldo Deguzman, who has performed on Broadway in numerous lead roles (Hairspray, Little Mermaid, Cinderella). They form a very strong group and are an excellent addition to the Festival!

合唱節活動重要通告 Important Festival Notice

由於場地臨時變動，我們決定取消原定於3月30日舉行的2012 無伴奏香港理工大學音樂會 a cappella Showcase，這個消息當然令一班熱愛a cappella的表演隊伍或是觀眾感到失望，因為他們將會錯失一個和不同的參加者和觀眾分享音樂的好機會。在此，我們期望日後有機會再舉辦同類型的音樂會，召集一班本地無伴奏合唱的的精英隊伍聚首一堂，和大家互相交流、分享心得。

而每年合唱節的重頭戲當然不少得我們在灣仔伊利莎伯體育館所舉辦的2012 國際無伴奏音樂盛典，今年是我們第三個年頭在同一個場館和本港歌手和外國精英隊伍合作，回顧過去兩年的盛況，觀眾每一次熱烈的歡呼聲，都讓我們感受到他們對於音樂的熱愛和追求。

每一年的無伴奏合唱節都會吸引一眾樂迷熱烈討論，皆因國際級a cappella巨星都會因這個盛事而來港獻技！繼The Real Group和The Swingle Singers後，今年主辦單位繼續請到相當有份量的大師級人馬﹣來自美國的全男班組合Rockapella! Rockapella可謂無伴奏樂壇的「長青樹」，皆因他們於1986年組成，擁有超過20年的歷史，今趟來港演出必定會為整個合唱節生色不少!

Following the phenomenal teams of the past two years (The Real Group and The Swingle Singers) is the acclaimed American all-male group Rockapella! 首先, 恭喜海鷗K人聲樂團跟元朗信義中學AMuiXis, 分別得到香港無伴奏合唱比賽2011公開組和中學組的冠軍!

下一個活動: 2012 a cappella 學生領袖訓練計劃隆重推出!

對象:適合各年級的中學生參與（有潛質之合唱學生為佳）
甄選:鑒於名額有限，所有學生必須通過試音才能成為學員
時期: 2012年1月中旬至2012年4月 –為期約14個星期，將以參與「香港2012國際無伴奏合唱節」作為終結。
a cappella 類型:包括主唱、和聲及人聲敲擊之無伴奏合唱人聲樂團

訓練: 學員須出席每週一次緊密的人聲樂團訓練（暫定逢星期日下午）
- 當中包括1. 音樂演繹、流行歌唱技巧 2.演出隊形、形體及舞蹈 3. 戲劇及其他舞台技巧。學習曲目範圍廣泛，例如爵士樂、流行歌曲及民歌等。
- 由青協無伴奏合唱中心藝術總監趙伯承先生以及其他經驗豐富導師親自協助及指導。

活動:
-- 參與演出 – 有機會在「香港2012國際無伴奏合唱節」中參與公開表演。
-- 舉辦活動 – 以「實習生」身份，參與及協助舉辦「香港2012國際無伴奏合唱節」的活動，當中包括4月28日之「無伴奏合唱劇場」。學習並了解整個音樂劇從製作、綵排至演出等知識。例如當中涉及舞台、燈光、音響設計等編排，讓學員全面開展不同領域的技能。
-- 額外訓練 – 接受外國隊伍專人指導不同音樂及舞台技巧，培養學員多方面的藝術才華，透過音樂文化交流和合作，擴闊學員的視野。

公開組參加者注意! 今年台灣的海鷗K人聲樂團將會參加香港無伴奏合唱比賽2011的比賽! 他們剛在韓國春川亞洲青年無伴奏合唱大賽贏了金獎, 實力不容輕視!

We have just confirmed that the Seagull-K Vocal Band will compete in the 2011 Hong Kong a cappella Contest! They won the Golden Harmony Award at the Chuncheon Asia Youth A Cappella Competition this year.

多謝HKMM的鼓勵和建議，令我們可以在舞台上挑戰自己。導師們敏銳的藝術觸覺，在人聲敲擊上的啟發，還有傳授那蛇腰款擺，每一幕都忘不了，更推動我們把舞步融入表演之中。

HKMM的專業策劃、準備，對作為業餘隊伍的我們來說實在非常重要。而他們對不同人的個性的尊重，那嚴謹卻又隨和的態度，更令我們覺得望塵莫及。

也許這次演出並不完美，但我們都享受努力突破自己的過程，享受這個舞台。

Hot Potters很高興能夠參與一次專業的舞台表演，感謝Patrick, Ernest, Ronald及Sam的指導! 在台上看到觀眾當晚的投入，加排之辛苦早已忘記了。從前在Hot Potters練歌只有互相聆聽給予改善建議，今次有機會聆聽專業的意見，令歌曲更有變化，亦更容易握住觀眾的情緒。我們喜歡新火花、新嘗試、新沖擊，有了這些突破，我們更能夠投入並盡情地運用身體和聲音去唱好每一首歌。Time to Shine令我們Hot Potters的湯底更加豐富和美味! Stay Hungry, stay groovy!

Songbird成立於2008年。當時十名團員都是中學生，在沒有導師帶領，只靠自己摸索下，我們作出過很多勇敢的嘗試，但始終缺乏經驗，少不免還是會「撞板」。成立3年，十位團員都已變成大學生，近年香港無伴奏合唱的發展越見蓬勃，我們亦有感團隊需作新突破，衝出我們舊有的合唱框框，成為真正的「明星」。
一個月前，這個突破自我的機會就出現在我們面前。感激青協香港旋律眾導師的指導，讓我們看到如何改善自身的不足，放開自己，以及更投入表演當中。在短短四星期內，「讓我閃耀」讓我們更清楚我們的團隊特質、長處和特點；讓我們更了解身邊每一個團員；讓我們更了解自己。未來，我們會繼續努力突破自己，在台上繼續閃耀。

對我和AMX而言，今次都是一次十分難忘的經驗，除了有機會讓我們一人一咪去表演外，還有事前準備的一個月都令我有進步，因為無伴奏合唱的隊員是十分需要獨立的。而在當晚的表演中，無論是AMX還是其他隊伍的表演都讓我深刻，讓我感受到大家真的有著同一個夢想——以a cappella分享音樂、分享自己喜愛音樂的心情。在這個舞台上，我亦再一次感受到無伴奏合唱帶給我的觸動，找回那份熱誠。同時，我亦很高興能以AMX努力的成果，去感染更多人！

一年一度香港無伴奏合唱比賽又來了！今年我們很榮幸能夠邀請到朱元雷先生(台灣合唱音樂中心創辦人及爵士流行藝術總監), 馮國東先生(港澳當代無伴奏合唱協會會長)及伍卓賢先生(著名音樂創作人及無伴奏合唱藝術家)擔任評判。三位都是海外及本地無伴奏合唱界的知名人士，相信必定能夠給予參賽者新的啟發。

一如往年，比賽設有公開組(人聲樂團)及中學組(合唱小組)，而今年公開組的小組人數上限更增至10人。愛好無伴奏合唱又喜歡挑戰自己的你, 馬上報名參加吧！參賽隊伍更有機會被邀請在聖誕無伴奏合唱馬拉松演出呢！

Also, we are happy to announce the HONG KONG A CAPPELLA CONTEST 2011! We are very honoured to invite three renowned judges this year, including Mr. Ray Chu (Artistic Director, Taiwan Choral Music Center), Mr. Fung Kwok Tung (Chairperson of the Contemporary A Cappella Society of Hong Kong and Macau), as well as Mr. Yin Ng (Renowned composer and a cappella artist).

As in past years, the Contest has two Divisions, the Secondary School Division and Open Division.
Please note that this year's Open Division welcomes groups with a maximum of 10 members. What's more, competing groups may also be invited to a Christmas a cappella Marathon performance opportunity!

Thank you for the very enthusiastic response to the 'Time to Shine' program! As we have received many enquiries, here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions (FAQs):

Q: 通常會跟Patrick和其他導師每星期會面多少次呢? How frequently would we need to meet Patrick and other tutors?
A: 基本上1-2次，視乎各團隊的時間上能否配合和是否需要。 Generally once or twice per week, according to the group's need and availability.

Q: 通常會在什麼時候和Patrick/其他導師會面? When would be the time for the meetings?
A: 沒有特定時間，導師將會於各隊平時的綵排時間入團到訪。 This is flexible. Patrick and the tutors would preferably visit the group during its regular rehearsal times.

Q: 通常在什麼地方會面? Where would we meet Patrick and the tutors?
A: 除了錄音會安排在特別地方外，基本上也會於各隊平時綵排的地方會面。 Usually in the group's own rehearsal venue. However, the audio recording session would be held in a special venue.

Patrick和導師希望每個參與團隊能透過「讓我閃耀」，在同樣的綵排時間長度、同樣的地點和配套下，於4個星期內突破自己，取得比以往更多的成果。
The main aim of this project is to ensure that a group will continue to develop after these four weeks even with the same rehearsal frequency, venue and equipment. Therefore, Patrick and the tutors will show the group how to get the most out of its own facilities.

一個讓 a cappella teams 在四星期內突破自己的計劃

對象：勁鍾意唱 a cappella 的你 + 你的團隊
資格：願意投放時間及熱情去唱好每一首歌，以突破自己為目標
費用：全免!! 但要求100%投入
甄選：提交mp3，演唱質素為首要取錄準則 (能於10月12日下午2至6時進行最後彩排的隊伍，將獲優先考慮) - 請看下列參加辦法步驟二
演出：10月12日 (星期三) 晚上8時，香港理工大學－賽馬會綜藝館

為何要參加？
1. 你的團隊希望經歷專業演出的各種配套，如燈光設計、音響設計、藝術總監及專業編舞的協助及指導。
2. 你的團隊已成立一段時間，但平常只唱「街show」，希望一嚐「入台」的滋味。
3. 你的團隊將會獲得一至兩首經專業混音的錄音，及可以放上YouTube作宣傳的高水準演出錄影。
4. 你的團隊有志於四星期內挑戰自己，脫胎換骨。
5. 好玩，無須理由。

第二星期：專業編舞為各團隊編排演出隊形及舞蹈 (或修改舊曲目)

第三星期：增強演唱水準；專業錄音師監製下進行multi-track錄音，及設計演出之音響效果

第四星期：藝術總監Patrick及眾導師為各團隊於「入台」前作最後準備，包括燈光設計及其他舞台技巧

入台 (10月11日晚上或12日下午)：空間、音響、燈光測試及預演等，好緊張啊!!

演出 (10月12日晚上)：現場錄音(multi-track) 及錄影(multi-angle)，Good Show!!

Patrick Chiu 趙伯承

Patrick 為本地合唱藝術家，曾旅居維也納及美國，現為青協香港旋律及專業藝團「一鋪清唱」的藝術總監，亦為姬聲雅士成員。Patrick 近年關於 a cappella 的企劃包括：2008年新視野藝術節的合唱劇場「石堅」(文本意念及合唱指導，2010年該劇於上海世博重演)；2009年香港話劇團的無伴奏合唱劇場「雲雀」(音樂總監及作曲)；2009年日本無伴奏合唱大學聯盟 (評判)；2010年樹寧現在式單位的無伴奏合唱劇場「湯姆歷險記」(音樂總監及作曲)；2010及2011年香港國際無伴奏合唱節 (藝術總監) 等。於本地流行樂壇，Patrick 曾合作的唱作歌手包括王菀之、方大同、林一峰、張敬軒、王梓軒等。
