There has been a lot of surgeries in our house lately. I'm only 1 and I've had 3 surgeries. Now my brother Logan had to have 9 teeth pulled today. He also lost some bone in his jaw. Mommy and I are taking care of him though. Please send him lots of headbutts and purrs. He has some GOOOOOOOOOOOOD drugs on board right now. I know the feeling!!

He still has his IV catheter, so that mom can give him his pain meds and IV fluids if he needs it.

He's stoned. See his tongue sticking out? I can't see it, but mommy told me about it.

Told ya I was taking good care of him. He took good care of me when I had my surgery, so it's only fair.

The face may have changed, but I'm still the same cool guy. Thanks for sending me all the well wishes friends. I don't know what the fuss is all about. Mom gave me tuna and tons of toys and has kissed me constantly, so I guess it was worth it. I haven't even needed any pain medication today. Mom says it's cuz I am one cool cat. I agree.

HI Everyone, Homers Mom here!

Homer had surgery today to correct a problem with his left eyelid. He did great. He is now recovering and will be back to update you all as soon as he's able. In the meantime, here are a few pictures of my little man before, during and after surgery.

HI friends, I have missed you. My mom, the secretary, has been so bad. She's had a busy summer and hasn't had time to do much at home with the computer. But rest assured, I have not been neglected. It's been a great summer.

Tomorrow is my birthday, I'm going to be 1. Mom is sad ,cuz she says I'm getting old. Guess what i get for my birthday? Bet you can't guess!!! Surgery, isn't that a kick in the head? One of my eye sockets is infected and open. I'm not in pain or sick, so don't worry about that. But it is bothersome, mostly to mom. She promises she'll make it up to me after surgery with lots of yummy treats and new toys.

I love you furrfriends and so sorry that I haven't been around. Mom says she'll be better and I guess I'll have to believe her.

This is my brother Oliver. He's 100 years old..I mean, 11 years old. He hated me when I first came to live here. He would hiss at me and pop me on the head. Now he lets me share the same room with him. Mommy calls it a miracle since he was the last holdout. I love him and one day he is going to love me too. I just know it.

Imagine my surprise when my mom saw this woman during the storm the other day. I know, I'm shocked. Ok, she didn't really see her, but I like the shirt.

So, what are you all doing this weekend? Since today is moms birthday I'm going to spend lots of time with her since she's been working a lot lately. I've gotten bigger..I'm 9 1/2 pounds now. Pretty soon I'll be catching up with all of you..friends.

Hi everyone, it's been a few days, but mom has worked really long days and had a bad bad headache every single night. But I needed her to do her job and perform her secretarial duties so that I could update you on Ruby.

She's fine. Her bloodwork was good and she started eating like crazy. The vet gave her fluids and a shot and that was it. So, lucky for me, I can still climb on her and nibble on her lips. She loves that. Well, she really doesn't but I do it anyway.

Here is a new picture of me that one of the coolest externs on the planet took of me. I was at mommy's work. The extern loved me and took my picture. She should love me cuz I'm cute. Hey, I'm not a snob, just telling you what I've heard.

PURRS AND PRAYERS PLEASE

Dear Furfriends,

I am going to ask you a favor. Could you please send my sister Ruby, and even ask your own furfriends to send Ruby some purrs and headbutts? You see, mommy is real worried. She hasn't been eating very well, which is TOTALLY not like her. She LOVES to eat. Even more than me. Anyway, she hasn't been eating well at all. So mom had her human bean bring her into the office today for some bloodwork and fluids. The reason that mommy is so worried is that in December 2009 Ruby was diagnosed with Cancer.

Mast cell cancer is what it's called and pretty common in labs. Ruby had surgery and all the cancer was removed, but you can see why mom would be worried. We are hoping that it is nothing, and it probably is, but some extra purrs won't hurt right? Ruby is almost 11 and I know that she would appreciate it.

Ya'll know that I'm not the FAMOUS Homer right? You also know that my mom isn't Gwen Cooper right? Just checking cuz some people still think I am. Mommy put a disclaimer up on this blog and we also explain that we're not the FAMOUS Homer over on the My Story Page. For some reason there is still some confusion.

The Famous Homer is black. I am not. The Famous Homer's mommy is an author, mine is not. The Famous Homer is 12 years old. I am 9 months old. The Famous Homer is Cute. I am too..so we do have that in common. The famous Homer is Blind, ditto for me. But that is about as far as the similarities go. With the exception of our name, we are not the same. Hey that rhymed. MOM..I'm a poet..just like my namesake. Ok, maybe not.

today started out great. I went to work with mommy, which means lots of hugs and kisses and treats and toys. Then IT happened. Mommy's friend got out the big needle and poked me, then I got my nails trimmed..then I had diarrhea. I was so mad, that on the way home I had more diarrhea in my crate. Mommy had to have the last word and put me in the bathtub.

I can't talk about it any more.

I'm humiliated.

I'm Exhausted.

Mommy shared a popsicle with me. Well, I took it, then she didn't want it anymore. My plan worked. It was sugar free, but was still yummy.

We were going to do this yesterday, but since blogger was being weird we decided to wait. This picture was taken of me on the day that I met my mommy a little over 7 months ago. We met that morning, then I had surgery (can you see my stitches?) and this was my first official "at home" photo. I barely weighed a pound back then and now I am 8 pounds. I am one happy mancat.

Hi friends..have you missed me? I've missed you soooo much. My mom and secretary has been so busy that, well I'm just gonna come out and say it, she's been neglecting me. BIG TIME. She went to work yesterday, then went straight to some big place where people get a little piece of paper that says they are done with school..BIG DEAL. So what if her humane bean is an accountant now, what does that have to do with me? Nothing, that's what. Is that piece of paper gonna get me more treats and toys? I think not. Personally, I think, and I think you'll agree, that she should have come home from work and stayed with me. that's my opinion. This is a picture of my mommy. She's really nice so I decided to keep her. I allow her to sleep in the big bed with me. It is my job to entertain her by being silly. I let her find me when I hide. I think it's important to keep our humans happy, so I let her take silly photos of me, but we cats know who's really in charge.

So kitty friends, if you own a human mommy, let them know (or think) that you appreciate them. Even though I totally think they should appreciate us, but it's not always about me. Or is it?
