I shipped the rest of my comics and cards while I was in Delaware. They arrived here in Colorado today. Quick :) Many of those comics I haven't looked at in over 8 years at least and some of them are as old as I am. Old ass Fantastic Four and Amazing Spider-Man along with the original Marvel and Marvel Masterpieces cards.

Does anyone remember an older horror anthology series called "Monsters Attack!"? It collects several short horror stories in each comic, similar to Tales From the Crypt, but with "Monsters Attack!", it looks like they also included articles related to horror movies kinda like the Fangoria magazine. I just thought it was cool and seems like an interesting venue to pursue.

Happy Easter, all. I am now approaching the down-slope of my vacation here in Delaware. A bit of a roller coaster, but overall it is an excellent time.

I already have a new web provider in mind for my site, so when I return I hope to set that up. Also when I return I shall finish up this Conan cover based on "The Savage Sword of Conan the Barbarian" #46...

This also shows a small redesigning of my character, Black Grim the Devourer.

Okay. Time to get back to my relaxing.

I Need Help

And not just psychological.

My web provider, out of the blue, MORE THAN DOUBLED his fee this billing period. I stuck around strictly because of the low price, but since he's done this there's no point in me staying with him.

If anyone knows of a good web provider, please let me know. I just don't have the time right now to search and compare web providers. I'd rather learn of good ones through word-of-mouth anyways. Price isn't the primary concern as long as their customer service and services are dependable...and if they don't constantly keep raising their expenses. If I end up going with a web provider you refer me to, I'll draw you a free card or something something.

Thanks!

3-D Creepy

I watched My Bloody Valentine in 3-D last night. I didn't expect to go until the last second. The whole "remake" and "3-D" thing kinda turned me off, but I'm glad I went. It was fun. I've been playing "Left 4 Dead" lately and this movie got me thinking.....They should make some video games in 3-D! A zombie game like "Left 4 Dead" in 3-D would make me crap my pants even more. And it would make me more cross-eyed. But yeah...I've converted to liking 3-D shit now. Everything should at least experiment more with 3-D. Comics, video games, ...internet?

Picked up the latest issue of Otaku USA. It has a interview of artist, Felipe Smith, in it as well as interview of Hiroyuki Imaishi. I haven't gotten around to reading any of it, but should be interesting.

I'm working on a comic book. Dunno what I'll exactly do with it. I just have a bunch of ideas I need to get out of my brain once and for all. Here's a panel...

The Misadventures of Flapjack is having a marathon on right now!

Open Them Shits At Midnight!

Today is all about how ghetto I can be. I'm currently watching Dog the Bounty Hunter marathon before I go to work my 3 hour shift tonight in about an hour and half. My wife is bringing me my contact solution and McDonalds very shortly. Mmmmm fat. It's all in preparation for when I open my gifts and see my xbox360 and gears of war 2. At that very moment, my new home will be my bean bag in front of the television, so I must stock up on fat right now like a squirrel with nuts.

Actually, I'm pleased to announce that last night I finally finished scripting the first comic book of To Die. It only has taken me an eternity to reach this moment, but frankly I could give a shit. This will be a classic, and if it is to be so in just my eyes alone, then so be it. But I highly doubt many will be disappointed (if I ever finish it before I die :) that might be fitting afterall considering the book's title). Just this first comic alone has piles of fecal matter and giant, dry-humping earthworms.

What's not to like?

Charlie Brown made me tear up the other day. I never really saw It's Christmastime, Charlie Brown. As a kid, I wasn't too much into Peanuts, but now that I'm older, I find it humorous. He is quite the spit-on, depressed child and I can relate to that these days.

Ah, my fat has just arrived. Happy, happy Holidays.

Triumphant

On Thursday night, the wife, a friend, and myself all went to the Wu-Tang show at the Aggie Theatre. The Aggie has a huge variety of performers come through, from mainstream to underground of all genres. Performers such as Buckethead, Cunninlynguists, Del and Souls of Mischief, Aesop Rock, Public Enemy, and others. It was the last place Ol' Dirty Bastard performed before his untimely demise. This would be the first time I would see a Wu show, so I was excited.

After a long period of waiting and enduring the headliners and an incredibly annoying hype man (or crack head) AND almost getting in a fight, out comes the Wu! I wasn't expecting all of the founding members though. I saw Method Man was touring with Redman. RZA didn't show nor did Masta Killa(?). Anyways, I know alot of people say they've fallen off and shit like that, but you really think mainstream rap is as good as it used to be as a whole anymore? I wasn't too pleased to see the soulja boys at the show, but eh I'm getting old and I know what I like. Nevertheless, GZA, Cappadonna, Inspectah Deck, Raekwon, U-God, and Ghostface showed up and they put on a great show. They played alot of the older classic shit too. I was just happy enough to see Ghostface cuz I'm a big fan. Okay enough talk. On to (horrible-quality) photos and (even more horrible-quality) video footage :)

more who have been to the Aggie (Redman.
Watching Jackie Chan's "The Legend of Drunken Master" on G4 right now. I used to own the VHS, but it's lost forever after leaving Delaware. In my opinion, this movie has the best fight scenes of any Chan movies. Some of these moves are bonkers.

I actually updated my site. Nothing major other than selling original art from "Concerned".

Tomorrow...Enter the Wu-Tang.

I think. I'm not exactly positive. So yeah, let me explain. I've been on this giant adventure searching for some old-time songs that would make a nice little soundtrack for my "To Die" comic I've been working on. I've learned that the best-suited songs are from around 1931. It has that vibe I want and it helps that the Great Depression was at this point in time as well. With that all said, I stumbled upon a gem. A real beauty.

Behold...My Girl's Pussy.

Wasn't that just beautiful? It sure brought a tear to my eye I can tell you that much. For more info on the song and lyrics, here's the wiki link so you know it's legit. R. Crumb even covered the song with his band.

That does it for our season passes. We had so much fun out of those things. I might get them again for next year.

Okay. Onward to the future. The Wu-Tang are coming back here in mid December on the 1st year anniversary of their latest album's release. It's impossible to know who exactly of the Wu will be there, but I'm going regardless.
Another Human for Obama
Try as I may, I have now failed to not post about the topic of politics. I could say many-a-thing on the subject such as how McCain and Palin try to say Obama is a celebrity and not a leader, but all I see is Palin's goofy mug on People magazine covers and on Saturday Night Live. I could discuss how McCain whistles his "s"'s in such an irritating manner that I want to imitate Van Gogh. No. I will not say such things because I am a better person than that. Besides, these facts are obvious to those not in a vegetative state.

Barack was a simple walk from where I live on Sunday, so I figured why not check it out. I got to hear him, but didn't even get one glimpse of him! The crowds were insane and security was tight, which all isn't a bad thing really.

Type your cut contents here

.

Here's some rickity rackity footage taken by yours truly...
http://s11.photobucket.com/albums/a168/a_cline/?action=view&current=MOV00385.flv

Rats.
ARRIBA! ARRIBA! ÁNDALE! ÁNDALE!
My newest favorite show on television is the "Mr. Men Show". I'm also getting back into classic cartoons of when I was a kid like "Tom and Jerry" and "Looney Tunes". They've become even more hilarious now that I'm older. Plus I'm eating Fruit Loops right out of the cereal box just like the good ol' days. If only this was Saturday and I didn't have to go to work tonight.

For the past week I have been trying to understand how this whole RSS feed stuff works. I now have it situated on my art portfolio (http://www.adamcline.com), my random sketches blog (http://artcookies.blogspot.com), and here on my LiveJournal (http://a-cline.livejournal.com). If you are unaware of what an RSS feed is, I will try to explain it in a simple manner. Basically, it's a way for you to stay informed on any updates on a webpage and you do not need an account (for instance a LiveJournal account) to do so. If you use Internet Explorer as your browser, there should be an orange icon with white "waves" at the top of your window (if it's gray, it means there is no RSS feed to that webpage). Click that icon and it'll bring you to the RSS feed page and you can subscribe to it and it's that easy. It'll be located in your "Feeds" right next to your "Favorites".

Hurry up and click those links above and subscribe to their RSS feeds if you love me at all!

Armed With a Hecate Bark and a Zeus Hand

This week has damn near made me mad in every sense of the word. I, like many others, hate my job, but it's somehow managed to keep its suction-cup tentacles wrapped around me for almost 6 years now. Everyone knows how the economy is going to hell and I usually don't care about such matters unless it affects me personally and it seems it's gotten to that point. Our crew is now down 3 people and so everyone has to pick up the pace and do the best they can. Combined with all the hundred other problems incorporated with my job (I won't explain what my job is because it's a bit embarrassing, but let me just say that there should be NO stress to it at all) it has taken its toll on all of us. One of those newly added problems is a hiring freeze. Our governor issued it about a week and half ago, so it's going to be quite some time before we get some help. So basically what I'm trying to say is I've been having a horrible week/month/year. I needed to escape reality this weekend and that I did last night...by bowling.

I don't drink that much, but on certain occasions I like to have a few rum and cokes and call it good when I get woozy. I'm out with about 10 friends/people at the bowling alley and we're ready for moonlight bowling. You receive tickets and throughout the night, the announcer will call out a number and if you make a strike you get some money. Also if you pay attention, the announcer will call your lane and if you get a strike you can get a free game or money, same can be said for making splits, yada yada yada. So I'm drinking and throwing a 13 pound ball at 20 mph, just getting all this built-up tension from the past week out of my system, and my number gets called. If you know me personally, you will know a new meaning of the word "unlucky", so that kind of thing never happens to me, and on top of that I actually made the strike with ease. I'm sure me being tipsy had alot to do with it, but nevertheless that made my lousy week easier to forget. I also made another strike for more money a little later on.

The lesson I have learned from all of this is that I should be intoxicated every single moment of my day like my father and it will guarantee me a perfect life. No. Not really.

Before last night, I had spent pretty much all day researching RSS feeds and seeing if it was worth me applying that knowledge to my website, blogs, etc. It seems it is to a degree so I guess I'll wrap up that nonsense today then finish a Spider-Man VS Sinister Six commission.

"C'mon, dude. I was born to rap. When delivered, I had a rhyme and the doctors clapped." - Vast Aire

It got off to a rocky start but somehow I made it to San Diego. The weather was perfect throughout the 5-day trip and I don't think I've ever walked so much nor covered so much land in such a short amount of time in my entire life. But I had fun.

<div class="ljcut" text="Well, I'm beat and I don't want to type too much more, so here's an ass-load of photos... I fly out Wednesday. My guest lost his wallet yesterday, so I'm curious if he will be able to make it past airport security as well as get his SDCC badge. Should be interesting.

Here's to me hopefully finding a publisher or getting hired in some shape or form!
