It is for the third subsequent year that "Nokia's Calling All Innovators" contest is all about inspiring creativity and developing change.
Inspiring creativity is such a projects submitted by the developers mainly working on mobile applications and content for use on Nokia’s latest devices.
Developing change is the ways that is all about how we use our mobile devices today, and how we may be using them in the future.

It is not only limited to software or hardware that uses Nokia device or software platforms. In fact,today's markets have different degrees of mobile and internet adaptation, submissions can also expand beyond the other mobile phone.
After primary selection, ten finalists will be invited to present their ideas and business models to a panel of Nokia business people and private venture capitalists.
The million dollars will be invested in a single winning organisation with the best idea decided by a combination of judges from Nokia Growth Partners, Nokia's venture arm, and Forum Nokia, Nokia's organisation dedicated to 3rd party developers and other innovators.
Finalists will be announced by mid May 2010. The final winner will be announced in June, 2010. The last for submissions is April 18, 2010.

Which one is Best? Firefox Mobile or the MicroB browser

All we know that Mozila FireFox Vs Internet Exploler is now a burnig topics.which one is best?which one will be better?But,what is about to the mobile browser?is Mozila Firefox or the MicroB browser is better?

ok,no more ques....let's analyse some comparison acordind to some point.[experiences at Nokia N900]

Startup Time:
The time taken by the each browser to open and load the default screen, after a clean reboot.
Firefox: 7.06 secs
MicroB: (For stock browser) 3.79 secs

Loading Static Web Pages:
The time to open Some Popular Web sites
Firefox
The Nokia Phone Blog: 11.96 secs
Consumerist: 14.17 secs
eBay: 7.56 secs
MicroB
The Nokia Phone Blog: 8.75 secs
Consumerist: 13.47 secs
eBay: 7.09 secs
MicroB isslightly faster than Firefox,seemed to be more responsive when scrolling around large web pages.

Loading Flash Web Pages:
The time required to load Macromedia’s official Flash page with embedded video and YouTube music video – “Begin Again”.

Bugginess/Stability:

Occasionally quit after opening. I couldn’t really duplicate the problem with much accuracy though.

No issues, even when attempting to load bloatware sites like Yahoo! Mail.

Memory Usage:
Firefox: 20.0% memory usage
MicroB: 27.9% total memory usage (12.8% browserd + 9.6% browserd + 5.5% browser)

Extensions and Add-ons:
Firefox
Great support for extensions. There is an add-on search and installation is as simple as tapping the “Add to Firefox” button.
MicroB
Bare-bones add-on support. No direct search capabilities, although you can always find extensions with Google.

Conclusion:

It’s really difficult to say which browser is truly “better”. If you’re searching for the speediest one of the two, the stock MicroB browser is quicker starting up and rendering static (non-Flash) pages. On the other hand, Firefox is more faster when it comes to Flash intensive pages like You Tube. it's also have some extra feature which will give you pleasant browsing.

Fring: VOIP calls over 3G are no longer

What might have taken Apple an year an a half to allow VoIP over mobile network but it only took Fring only a couple of days to update their app to make it use for VOIP calls.As recently one of the most popular chat clients Fring for the iPhone is capable of doing voice and video calls over 3G networks.

The new iPhone/iPad SDK brought to us one very welcome detail: VoIP calls over 3G are no longer forbidden. The first company to capitalize on this change was iCall, and now another popular instant messaging/chat client, Fring, has enabled video and voice chat over a 3G connection.

To be able to use this new feature of Iphone,you have to restart Fring, and the restriction for 3G VoIP calls will be vanish. Some users may still be getting the message that “voip calls are not allowed…” If this happens, click on “More,” then “Go offline” and then reopen Fring.

A good news for all of us who are waiting for FireFox mobile 1.0.it has been recently released for Maemo.it has been come with some nice improvements to our wish list. Flash is not of course one of them.It’s disabled by default, but it is not so difficult to get it right back.

I am now writing about this how can you enable Flash in FireFox Mobile 1.0.

The installation process:

At first you will need to the download the latest version of FireFox Mobile 1.0.you can get it from the Mozilla Catalog repository (which should have been added with the Maemo PR 1.0 update) via Application Manager1.

Then type about:config in your address bar. You should get a warning message asking you that you have to confirm that you want to mess with the config options. Click the I’ll be careful, I promise! button2.

After that,there will appear a config box, with a search bar on top that coded “Filter”. Type “plugin” into that bar and a couple of options will pop up. The two of them which you will have to change are the plugin.default_plugin_disabled and plugin.disable.options: tap on each one (or use the arrow keys) and hit the enter button which will change it's value from true to false. Make sure you have do this to both options!
Then, Close FireFox and reopen it.
Finally, Enjoy your new Flash experience with FireFox Mobile 1.0
