By default WordPress uses web URIs which have question marks and lots of numbers in them, however WordPress offers you the ability to create a custom URI structure for your permalinks and archives. This can improve the aesthetics, usability, and forward-compatibility of your links. A number of tags, and here are some examples to get you started.

It took nearly six months to produce this site. At first, I just wanted a place where I could write about US and world politics; let off some steam and scream, “I’m not going to take it anymore,” just like in the movie.

So, I started writing and created a small site using my local ISP provider. Two things happened; I ran out of space quickly and I learned my site was using something called an Iframe. What the heck is an Iframe?

I’m still not sure, but it’s why I decided to create a real site. I had no idea what I was getting into. There are programs you can buy and have a site up in a day. They’re called WYSIWYG–what you see is what you get.

Adds Keyword/Tagging ability to Wordpress. Keyword/Tags can be edited via the Wordpress interface, or inserted using a tool such as Ecto / Windows Live Writer that support keywords. Keyword/Tags can be automatically displayed in posts or feeds without editing Theme files. Static Wordpress pages (e.g. ‘About’) can be edited via Ecto / Windows Live Writer. Drafts can be moved to the top of the list in Ecto / Windows Live Writer to avoid sorting problems. Fixes a problem in Windows Live Writer where posts that include the tag are truncated when edited. Automatically create meta keyword header from tags for SEO purposes.

This is just a test.

When I Googled "Star Trek," the search engine returned 61,900,000 related sites. This many choices can be pretty frustrating to a fan, especially one who just wants to know more details on the type of government the Borg employs, or when the next "Star Trek" video game is going to be released (soon, I promise). So here, on the occasion of the show’s 40th anniversary, are my top 10 essential sites for any Trekkie (this may not be the end-all list, and remember that these are my favorites).
