I received an email, in an account that has nothing to do with this blog, sending me a link today to a wonderful video.  This video addresses the global crisis, just like yesterday’s…but it said everything that I wanted to hear about overcoming this, and dealing with it.  It reiterated my belief that reality begins within us and from there it flows….

I want to share this with you….watch and see what you think about this…

I believe that there were many sons of God that walked the Earth.   I do not however agree with their idea that they were merely metaphors for the location of Sirius and the 3 “king stars”. Connecting their existence with astrological phenomena is understandable, however negating their existence is something I cant agree with.

Secondly, there was alot of emphasis on terrorism in the video.  Granted, the movie was taking a stand against these atrocities.  However, when you focus on the “terror”, you are giving it even more width, breadth and reality.  Although horrible atrocities do happen, and people grieve and suffer as a result, we shouldn’t focus on the emotions of the horrible beings that committed these acts or the expressions of terror in the suffering people.  Rather, we should try to alleviate the suffering of those that are hurt and try to move the people out of the intense negative state that is a result of fear and terror. These negative emotions fuel a very negative state of being, and creates a vicious cycle of suffering that feeds that energy that created this situation in the first place.  While acknowledging the loss and damage suffered when atrocities occur, we have to help raise the situation out of the base vibrations of negative energy.  Zeitgeist made an attempt to capture this negative energy on film, feeding the viewer with the terror and pain of the moment.  Was this to sensitize the people to the atrocity, without realizing that they are giving life to the terror in this way?   Emphasis should be on helping the suffering, not on the terror itself.

I think that in their attempt, through the video, to bring certain facts to light, they are not addressing this in a constructive way.  Building a new ideology, even through incinuation, that is contrary to the existing one, is, in a way, creating another “conflict”.  This conflict would replace the negative energy that exists in the world  with the new negative energy of the conflict.  Collectively, humanity has to rise above conflict.  We can not do this by creating new ideologies and organized religions.

I would like to see people’s attention focused on peace.  We should create a world, our reality, first within ourselves, choosing to focus on the positive elements of humanity and our connection with the cosmos- never losing sight that we are but a little fragment of ONE.  We are all a fragment of the divine.  Our world is what we create, what we perceive is what comes from within. If we all focus on connecting with the Divine, if we focus living in sync with the laws of the Universe we would gradually remove ourselves from the negative energy coming from the many traps of man made civilization; ideology and organized religion being the biggest sources of oppression.  A new humanity built on these positive principles would not be vulnerable to man made fear and terror.

We should not look to construct more man made entrapments and ideologies – reactionary groups and movements, we have to look to break free from the existing “separations”, divisions and resulting negative energy,- constantly rejecting to focus on the evil that exists.  As crazy as it sounds, when one doesnt include something in their world, it ceases to exist.  Therefore, collectively humanity can turn this situation around.  We can break free from negative energy.  It is a matter of will.

But this has to be done by constantly focusing on the positive energy of the world, it can never by done by acknowledging the presence of the negative energy – not even in the slightest way.  People who are unfamiliar with this think that this only means that you ignore reality, blocking out what is horrible.  This isnt true.  When something bad happens, you should acknowledge it and help where you can.  However, you shouldnt focus on the negative forces that created these tragedies, and the negative energy that feeds this behavior.  By doing this, collectively we will stop feeding this type of energy, making it weaker and weaker.  Behavior is directed from energy, and energy is fed from other energy.

Sometimes, our attempts to focus and point at the sources of negative in this world backfire, and by doing this we  just manage to give these negative energies a greater reality.  When you focus on something, you give it reality by acknowledging its energy.  I think that this is what Zeigeist did.  It focused too much on the deceit and terror.  We need the opposite – so let’s focus on the positive attributes of humanity, and our focus should be on helping the suffering and the poor to escape their misery, constantly looking up and ahead, without focusing ever on the negative emotions triggered by those that inflict these horrors.

Does that render your current home as a “runner up” and not the real thing?  When grown children come “home” for the holidays, is it “home” for them still?  Even though these questions may seem trivial and unimportant to some, and monumental to others, I feel that these issues are actually non-issues.

In my opinion, “home” is not housed within any 4 walls, anywhere.  Not where you grew up, not in your present house, not in any physical structure.  HOME is in the heart.  HOME is when your soul dwells in harmony with the cosmos.  That is home.  It is not a building, it is a state of being.  Cavafis describes the journey “home”, Rumi describes the ecstatic love you feel when you arrive home.

The best thing in life is to remain on that long journey “home”, and may it encompass as many warm and loving moments in physical “homes” to help fuel the journey onwards.

The Music Coming From the House

On Christmas Eve, the king invited the prime minister to join him for their usual walk together. He enjoyed seeing the decorations in the streets, but since he didn’t want his subjects to spend too much money on these just to please him, the two men always disguised themselves as traders from some far distant land.

They walked through the centre of the city, admiring the lights, the Christmas trees, the candles burning on the steps of the houses, the stalls selling gifts, and the men, women and children hurrying off to celebrate a family Christmas around a table laden with food.

On the way back, they passed through a poorer area, where the atmosphere was quite different. There were no lights, no candles, no delicious smells of food about to be served. There was hardly a soul in the street, and, as he did every year, the king remarked to the prime minister that he really must pay more attention to the poor in his kingdom. The prime minister nodded, knowing that the matter would soon be forgotten again, buried beneath the day-to-day bureaucracy of budgets to be approved and discussions with foreign dignitaries.

Suddenly, they heard music coming from one of the poorest houses. The hut was so ramshackle and the rotten wooden timbers so full of cracks, that they were able to peer through and see what was happening inside. And what they saw was utterly absurd: an old man in a wheelchair apparently crying, a shaven-headed young woman dancing, and a young man with sad eyes shaking a tambourine and singing a folk song.

‘I’m going to find out what they’re up to,’ said the king.

He knocked. The music stopped, and the young man came to the door.

‘We are merchants in search of a place to sleep. We heard the music, saw that you were still awake, and wondered if we could spend the night here.’

‘You can find shelter in a hotel in the city. We, alas, cannot help you. Despite the music, this house is full of sadness and suffering.’

‘And may we know why?’

‘It’s all because of me.’ It was the old man in the wheelchair who spoke. ‘I’ve spent my life teaching my son calligraphy, so that he could one day get a job as a palace scribe. But the years have passed and no post has ever come up. And then, last night, I had a stupid dream: an angel appeared to me and asked me to buy a silver goblet because, the angel said, the king would be coming to visit me. He would drink from the goblet and give my son a job.

‘The angel was so persuasive that I decided to do as he said. Since we have no money, my daughter-in-law went to the market this morning to sell her hair so that we could buy that goblet over there. The two of them are doing their best to get me in the Christmas spirit by singing and dancing, but it’s no use.’

The king saw the silver goblet, asked to be given a little water to quench his thirst and, before leaving, said to the family:

‘Do you know, we were talking to the prime minister only today, and he told us that an opening for a palace scribe would be announced next week.’

The old man nodded, not really believing what he was hearing, and bade farewell to the strangers. The following morning, however, a royal proclamation was read out in all the city streets; a new scribe was needed at court. On the appointed day, the audience room at the palace was packed with people eager to compete for that much-sought-after post. The prime minister entered and asked everyone there to prepare their paper and pens:

‘Here is the subject of the composition: Why is an old man weeping, a shaven-headed woman dancing, and a sad young man singing?’

A murmur of disbelief went round the room. No one knew how to tell such a story, apart, that is, from the shabbily dressed young man sitting in one corner, who smiled broadly and began to write.

ITHACA
As you set out for Ithaca
hope that your journey is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians and Cyclops,
angry Poseidon-don’t be afraid of them:

THE most important thing about life, its purpose, its meaning and its beauty is summed up by a poet name Cavafis.  He wrote an amazing poem called Ithaca.  Referring to a  Ithaca, the classic metaphor for destination and longing, Ithaca is the island that Odysseas (or Ulysses in English trans.) strived and longed to return to, throughout his journeys – it was his goal – as we read in Homer’s epics.   However, on a deeper level, Ithaca was not only his “homeland”, but it represented fulfillment and enlightenment.

The journey to Ithaca, as Cavafis describes it, is the actual path we take in life, the experiences and the opportunities, the lessons and the beauty which we experience.  Cavafis refers to Phoenician markets, mother of pearl, Egyptian cities…all symbolic of the riches, wealth, knowledge and beauty that spiritual enrichment and the understanding and discovery of spiritual truths  gives the individual on his journey towards enlightenment…or Ithaka. He mentions that you will not encounter Laistrygonians, or Cyclops, or wild Poseidon.  What did he mean?  Literally these are figures that instill fear.  No, you wont encounter them if you hold your head high.  Because they will not be there. The only thing that is present in our reality is what we carry within us, and what we attract.  Life is energy.

We create our reality…we create our experience…like attracts like…energy flows… using one’s intention  and will to see the maginificence of  the free will of the Creator… .  Think about what he says…”hope that your journey be a long one”, so that your quest towards enlightenment and knowledge be long, and filled with beauty…so that you can experience the wonder and delight of spiritual discovery again and again along your quest.

Please keep this poem somewhere, and refer to it…it is a beautiful reminder to focus on the journey towards reaching enlightenment having accumulated the wealth of knowledge, discovery and experience first.  Otherwise, what good is reaching enlightenment, if when you get there, you are “empty”, without actually experiencing the pain and happiness of life’s lessons, without accumulating knowledge and insights that you have actually experienced, without helping others attain spiritual knowledge?  You will find enlightenment then, to be a poor place.  You will have completely missed out on the journey, and be unfulfilled upon reaching the destination.

First, I would like to thank the plagiarizer for reprinting my material, even without adding the proper credits.  It must have been a good post, because no one bothers to copy work that isnt worth it.  It is a complement when people like what you write, no matter how crudely they express it.

A word of advice:  Everyone’s behavior reflects their general state of being.  Plagiarizing is a form of theft, and those who steal unfortunately do so as a response to greater insecurities, needing to hide behind other’s possessions and identity, and also they do this in response to a need for attention.  So there are major insecurities that plagiarizing bloggers should address in their lives in general.  Their time is better spent addressing their personal issues instead of copying the work of others, because at the very least this time spent would be much more constructive.

Secondly, this type of plagiarism is not worth going after.  So he stole my post.  This particular blogger that plagiarized me can not run a spiritual or new age blog obviously, because the mind set isnt there to do so,…bloggers wouldnt be stealing posts if they were able spiritual bloggers.  Another thing, bloggers that blog about spiritual material cringe at the idea of using the material of others.  They are intuitive and write from the heart and soul.    Also, this particular blogger that plagiarized will have to change genre of material to steal because a new age or spiritual post is quite out of place on that blog.  So if he needs readers, he wont get them thisway.  Blogs arent worth the time or effort to read or write if they dont have a purpose, and if they dont reflect the mind set of the author.  Readers consciously and unconsciously act on this…they visit once and dont bother to go back to blogs like that, with random posts that dont reflect the interests of the particular audience.

And lastly, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY , so that I don’t waste any more of your time or mine on this thing, stealing anything from this blog is BAD KARMA.  I write these things with the best intentions, and their purpose is to generate more positive energy and to inspire.  This incident reflects a classic example of  how a blocked and toxic blogger behaves.  Bloggers who are insecure, with blocked chakra and muddled energy lack individuality and they cant tap into their own creative process.  Sad.  Usually they live their lives in such a mindless manner, ignoring their own selves and their own abilities, preferring to hide and adapt the words of others as their own, never tapping into their own talents and abilities.  Stealing material is pure negative energy.  Like attracts like, and this will attract more negative energy that bloggers way.  Time for him to change.  Maybe he had to steal this last post in order to learn this lesson.
