I hope everyone's week went fabby! I finally filed my taxes. This is a chore that I put off every year because well...I'm a procrastinator.

I've decided that I have seen enough snow now, and spring needs to hurry up. Spring in Ohio always means snow and a change of at least 40+ degrees in a day. It was 71 today so the snow melted!!

Things I'm loving this week...

Easter is around the corner. As in next weekend. Are you having a big family dinner? Do you go all out in the decorating? I just can't get into it this year. Normally I have bunnies and eggs everywhere, but...I did find this really adorable printable of a watercolor bunny that I'm going to display.

The Skimm - This is a website that was created for me in mind, but I feel like the last person on earth to discover it. The Skimm words the most popular news stories in a not so boring way and it's easy to follow, while keeping me educated. There's a little bit of snark thrown in which of course helps too.

Love Sonic's just right sized ice? Then this is for you. It's pricey and it's one more thing to clutter up the counter, but it's a great idea!

Did you know PicMonkey has an app?? I feel like I've been living in a box lately. They added a new filter called "lush" that I have been experimenting with. As some of you know with my life changes lately, I have not been on much social media. I'm just now starting to prettify my pictures so I can get back to the internet world.

#giraffewatch - Are you following? I love giraffes, so I do check in on her periodically. At time of this posting, she has not delivered. I feel so bad for her when she tries to lay down, poor baby looks so uncomfortable. She has made her own little stamp on the world and you can watch her here.

APPLESAUCE BANANA BREAD

Yield: Makes 12-15 servings

INGREDIENTS

4 ripe bananas
1 cup sugar
¾ cup of applesauce
2 eggs
2 cups of all purpose flour
½ teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla

For serving:

butter
cream cheese

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9” x 5” loaf pan. In a large bowl, slice the bananas and use an electric mixer to mash. Add the sugar and blend. Let mixture stand for 15 minutes. Add applesauce and eggs; mix well. Blend in the remaining ingredients. Pour into the greased loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand again for 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

EASY & VERSATILE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Yield: Makes 9-12 servings

INGREDIENTS

Choose a meat or two:

1 package of sausage
1 package of bacon
1 package of cubed ham

Choose a cheese or two

2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
2 cups colby jack shredded cheese

9 eggs, beaten
2 cans of refrigerated crescent rolls

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Crumble and brown the entire package of sausage or bacon and pour off any fat. Coat a 9” x 13” baking dish with a non-stick spray and line it with one package of the crescent rolls. Put the cooked sausage, bacon, or ham cubes on top of the rolls and top with the cheese. Pour in the eggs and top with the second package of crescent rolls. Bake 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Serve warm with a buttery maple syrup.

With fall around the corner, I've been wanting to freshen up my makeup. Now I know you think that I might have wanted to do that in the Spring, but we know how much of a procrastinator I am! I've had a Target gift card burning a whole in my purse for a few months, so my recent spree didn't even cost me anything...and I still have a balance left =) Woot!Woot! I was dissapointed though in this particular Target's selection of Elf and Wet N' Wild. Almost like they were an afterthought, stuffed in a corner, and not very well stocked.

I have been ~~obsessing~~ watching a few You Tube makeup reviews and thought some of the products warranted a try. Because I'm inherently cheap (I am Scottish after all), I only buy drugstore brands. I'm wanting to review some of the items too as I use them, just in case anyone wants to know how they work for me.
