Well for me that is Jess Ladd. She's 25 and FULL OF LIFE!!! She is absolutely incredible in so many ways. She has a huge heart and is so kind. She's always willing to do for others and thinks of others often. She has the best smile and is always smiling or laughing. She is driven, has a great job, and works very hard at her event planning--which is right up her alley. :) She is absolutely beautiful, stunning, inside and out. Jess is a SO much fun! She loves to get out and go, go, go! She is a hardcore shopper and loves to visit wineries. She has a ton of friends and after meeting her for 2 seconds you'll know why. And she has incredible hair!!!

Jess and I were suite-mates in college and still keep in touch despite the 3 hour distance between us. The best thing about her is we can pick up right where we left off anytime we're together or Face Time with each other. I love this girl and so will you! I will say she's rooted in St. Louis, MO and probably won't be leaving there any time soon, but you can move, right??? :) She is very close with her family and loves children. She has the BEST style and choice of clothes and accessories! Email me or leave me a message and I will hook you up!

Drew and Luke are 2, almost 3, and absolutely precious to Kody and I. They love us almost as much as we love them!

We went to eat pizza and then ran to Wal-Mart. They are SO good. Sat and ate like champs and then had fun in Wal-Mart. We got home for baths and then layed around and watched a movie. We had their pack and plays set up in the spare room and Kody ended up sleeping in there with Drew in the bed and Luke stayed in his pack and play.

I had this competition going with myself to see if I could get to church with them early. Sure enough we were there by 8:40 just in time for the chocolate donuts they wanted. :) Church starts at 9 so we did well!

It was my Mom and Dad's turn to host his family for Christmas. We got to their house around 12:30 and everyone soon arrived. My Dad made a ham and it was SO good! Our family is funny, a little off, but what family isn't? ;) We ate and then opened gifts. We draw names between everyone and then my grandparents always give us money. I love this special time with my family. Most of us all live in West Plains but it seems like we don't get together enough.

We had a great visit and took the time to take some family photos. Directly below is my Aunt Janet and her family. Then the grandkids + KT. Grandkids + KT + grandparents. My immediate family. My Dad's sisters & parents. KT + Me + Alex + grandparents...and then the rest are of our opening time!

We got up Christmas morning around 8. i love to wake up in our own home on Christmas morning. It's such a fun tradition we have. It was fun to see what "Santa" brought! Ha! I told Kody that I still believe in Santa because he's never let me down. He visited me at my parents' house until I got married and there's always surprises at our house Christmas morning! :) This year was no different....

We knew we weren't getting each other much at all. Kody wanted a new gun and was planning to buy it right after Christmas and I bought the MAC I'm using right now shortly after Christmas. However, it's always fun to have something little to open. Kody had a few gifts to open and I had 2 little ones...plus our stockings.

You may be curious about Kody's tags on my gifts. Well, I always put silly names on his stuff and I loved his. I do public relations for the city and work closely with the fire department helping them out on their PR. Kody put to Fire Chick....haha, he loves it. Then he also put Miss Kay (from Duck Dynasty.)

My surprise that wasn't under the tree the night before was the big box I'm opening. It was a Seiko watch! I was so surprised and it's PERFECT for me. It was so thoughtful of Kody. I felt bad because he didn't have a big gift but he doesn't care. It was my first Seiko and I love it!!

We enjoyed some yummy coffee and excellent breakfast pizza and sat around for awhile and Kody got the idea to take the leftovers to the fire station for the two guys on duty. I texted them and told them we were on our way. I looked so lovely (see above) but we hung out with them for about an hour and another guy came by that we're good friends with so we all visited for awhile. By the time we got home it was time to quickly put the eggs together and get ready for lunch at my Mom and Dad's house with the Prewett side of my family. I'll post about that soon!

This year we did not travel to Jackson until after Christmas. It was much easier and we got to spend so much more time there when we went. My in-laws were probably ready to see us go! ;)

Christmas Eve I had off work and Kody worked until 12. I got up and did a few last minute things around the house, wrapping gifts, and what-not. I went into town to get my Christmas nails done and then went to my Dad's store. He owns a jewelry store and it's always fun to go on Christmas Eve and "help" out while all the last-minute men come in to shop. My Dad orders in a big lunch and we eat and just hang out. This year was no exception. I showed up for lunch and Kody met me there. My Mom and brother showed up too. We spent most of the afternoon there. One of Kody's best "girl" friends works for my Dad now...crazy, she was the first girl I met in Jackson...and she was working. We took a picture and I instagramed it as "Look! It's Casey Gourdin in West Plains on Christmas Eve!" I had someone text me "who is she?" They thought the way I said it she was famous! HA! Casey is quite the entertainer so we laughed all afternoon.

Kody was big on saying "Come on, let's move merchandise." I just laughed and laughed. He's crazy. I had a picture of us and can't figure out where it went. Oh well...

We left the store and ran home for a bit and then headed to church at 4:30. It was the first year for Christmas Eve service to be at 5, 7:30 and 11. Normally 5 is just come and go communion. It was a full candlelight service this year and we knew it would be packed. It was but we were there early. I absolutely love the Christmas Eve service. It just warms my heart and is exactly what I need after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Definitely puts you in the right mindset as well. It was certainly the service of the 'babes' meaning lots of children were there so there was this low roar of kids the whole time, but that's ok!!!!

Afterwards we went to my Aunt Judy's house. It's a little tradition we started several years ago. We just eat snack food, play games, and hang out. My grandparents don't come, it's just my dad and sisters and their families. The "kids" in other words. I nearly peed my pants though this year we watched home videos (Judy has EVERYTHING my cousin Amber ever did on video!!). My cousin Charlie had us rolling. I am so glad she has all of those because she really captured our childhoods on video.

We got home about 10:30 and prepared food for the next day. I boiled my eggs for deviled eggs and Kody fried bacon for his breakfast pizza he made for us the next day. He went to bed and I put out his stocking....and then Santa came....

I just got a Macbook Pro and I'm LOVING it but definitely know it's a learning curve. I was so excited yesterday when the UPS man arrived with it! Nothing like saving your hard earned money and feel the reward after getting what you want.

Anyways, I have a few questions. If you have a Mac what do you blog on? Right now I'm blogging from Blogger, which is fine, but I always used Windows Live Writer. It was so easy to upload multiple pictures at once. I haven't used the Blogger posts aspect in so long I have no clue if that's been improved. Also, on WLW, it looks like my blog and I type in the font on the webpage. I'm not sure if this will show up like I see now or like it's supposed to...anyways...

And, what photo editing software do you use and why? Just wanting some thoughts!

I love learning new things but at the same time I just want to know everything!
I am blessed to exchange with a few blogger friends, but can’t with everyone! I love receiving Christmas cards with beautiful families on them. LOVE it! This year we’ve received a few cards where I took the pictures and that’s always fun. :) I also love to send Christmas cards. To some our cards probably look a little vain, because it’s a bunch of pictures of ourselves…but who cares! :)

Christmas Love & Blessings…

The inside writing was a little too light but it said…”With 2013 quickly approaching we look back on 2012 and smile. We’ll settle in for a longggg winter’s nap. Ha, I wish!

Just because this is a scrapbook for my scatterbrained mind, I wanted to recap on the Christmas parties we’ve attended this season. It’s always fun to get together with friends and co-workers.

The first Christmas party I, along with my friend Melanie, pretty much planned our work Christmas party. We did have a a little help from a couple of the guys, but not much! Dustin helped us out with games though and we played minute-to-win-it games. It was hilarious! I have several pictures from the party, but none of anyone but workers. We scheduled the party on a Thursday and a week earlier and had the best turnout we’ve ever had I think! (Which was grand because I broke tradition and scheduled it a week earlier and on a Thursday, not Friday.)

The second Christmas party we attended was at our friend Jackie & RB’s house. We had worked the Christmas parade line-up all day and were a little tired (and cold) but we got all dressed up for their party. I sadly don’t have a picture, but it was fun to get all dressed up and chit chat with a diverse group of people.

The next week (last week) we had the fire department Christmas party at the “Shoe Box”…which is the Shoe Loft dorms for college students. It’s an old shoe factory that’s been renovated and has an AWESOME food service. Seriously this meal was better than our normal Christmas dinner. I do a lot of public relations work for the fire department so we were invited. We had the best time. Kody had to leave to go tend to the dogs since neither one of us had been home but I stayed and played games until almost 9:30! I love those guys, they are a lot of fun and take care of me. :)

Last Friday we had the bank Christmas party. It’s proven the last two years to be a good meal and a fun time. They roasted one of their loan officers that’s retiring and I laughed and laughed. Afterwards we went up to Roper’s with Brian and Courtney for a little night cap!

Saturday started out crazy but ended very low-key. I worked Shop with a Cop and what a rewarding experience that was. I met the local law enforcement, firefighters, and other emergency service workers at the Shoe Box for breakfast. Again, another incredible meal. We headed to Wal-Mart and there were about 150 volunteers and 200 children to shop. I got to shop with 3 little kids. That’s what Christmas is all about, seeing those kids fill up with joy.

Afterwards I met Kody and we bought a pistol for me…that we later returned because it kept jamming. Not the best time to buy (the day after an awful school shooting) but we had been planning on it. I’m home alone a lot and we live in the country. People are sketchy, it just makes us feel better. We went to shoot afterwards…now we’re looking for another one since we took it back. Ha.

We rested Saturday night since everything had been so crazy! It was just for administration and was ok. I had to leave somewhat early and head to the fire department to take a picture while they were having drill. I got home at 9:30…long day! But a fun one.

Last night was my friend Ashley’s Christmas party. Kody had a ‘man Christmas party’ with my dad, brother, and my dad’s friends.

Ashley & Josh just built a beautiful new home. So much custom work in there it’s crazy, I love it!! We had a good time. It was mainly her teacher friends and me, it was nice to catch up with some of those girls. We had a great time and I enjoyed seeing their beautiful house!

TONIGHT is Christmas ‘fun’ night at home. We’re going to watch Christmas Vacation and make chex-mix. :) YAY!

Saturday we’re going to my dad’s work Christmas party. Normally he doesn’t do anything special (he has a jewelry store and 3 employees) but this year we’re going to party! Why not one more? HA!

Tomorrow work will be fun. It’s the annual Christmas fish fry. AKA not much work will be happening that day. I love this time of year.

I’m thankful things are starting to slow down. It’s been a wild season, but so good for us!

In My Dreams

Wow, I can’t believe we are days away from Christmas. 5 days to be exact. Crazy how time flies, the year has literally FLOWN by. In a way I’m not ready to let 2012 go, but then again, no time but the present to move on.

Christmas is always such a fun time of year. With this year being the busiest year of our lives we’ve played quite the socialites and been to nearly every party imaginable. (Ok, not really but it feels like.) 4 work Christmas parties, 3 friend Christmas parties, and a Sunday School party scheduled for after the first of the year! We barely meet ourselves coming and going and tonight is going to be a quiet night at home. The plan is to make chex mix and watch Christmas Vacation. We’ll see…these days nothing seems to go as planned.

We barely have any Christmas decor out, my tree is decorated and beautiful but that’s about the extent of it. In fact I’m ashamed to even say I still have a fall wreath on the front door. HA! Whoops, oh well nobody ever comes to see us. I feel like we haven’t really gotten to enjoy the holiday season at home like we did last year…but then again this year is so much better than last.

A year ago I was so sick from medicine I was on and became practically a vegetarian because of it…and was just all in all depressed that we didn’t have a baby yet. I’m ready to start those traditions with my household family. The dogs just do not get it! ;)

This year my dosage is smaller so I’m not sick and can handle to eat meat again. We still don’t have a baby, but I’ve been too busy to really think too much about it. Here’s what I do think about though…

Sunday in church standing and singing Christmas songs I kinda got teary eyed thinking how last year I just knew we’d have a baby of some sort for this year. My dream is to have a beautiful baby either dressed like this…

or this for a sweet little girl…

I LOVE Christmas plaid and green corduroy and anything monogrammed. *Side note* Kody does not like the little southern boy outfits, but he knows he’ll have to just live with it. Smart man.

So I get a little upset that I don’t get to hold a baby on my hip all dressed to the nines Christmas Eve, but it’s ok. Our time will come. We’ll be in serious trouble whenever the time comes, I won’t be able to hold back from buying adorable clothes like this!!

I’ll continue to dream this Christmas season and know that the season is filled with HOPE. We HOPE 2013 will bring us something special. I also hope for continued contentment. I feel like I’ve been patient and continue to remain content, regardless of how you read this post. My biggest peeve is when people have healthy happy babies and continuously talk about having more so they can ‘get’ a girl/boy…or planning baby # whatever when they leave the hospital. My prayer for those people is to KNOW you’re blessed and to be content.

What are you HOPING for this next year?

Day of Silence

Christmas Traditions

I’m writing this a couple days early for Kelly’s Korner. I love this time of year, everything about it just warms my heart.

Growing up we had traditions…when I was younger Christmas Eve was always Christmas with my Dad’s side of the family, then we’d go home, leave cookies & milk for Santa, and go to bed. We’d wake up Christmas morning and couldn’t go into the living room until my parents had the video camera set up….because Santa didn’t wrap our gifts. He would leave what seemed like massive piles, one for me and one for my brother. We would then open gifts from my parents, etc. Those memories are so sweet to me that Santa will never wrap our kids gifts. Too much work to do on Christmas Eve anyways….and I wouldn’t want to wrap them before and leave them under the tree saying FROM SANTA…

When I was in high school we started a new tradition by going to my Aunt Judy’s house on Christmas Eve after Christmas Eve service. We would play games, eat snack food, and just visit. We still do that and I love that. It’s a very low-key night, which is needed by that point.

My Dad owns a jewelry store. This is his REALLY busy time of the year and Christmas Eve is no exception. It’s always been somewhat of a family tradition to go help at the store on Christmas Eve. Men…they wait until the last SECOND to go shopping and so it’s a store full of men who are easy to help because by 2 p.m. on Christmas Eve they’ll buy anything. My Mom always brings lunch and we take turns eating and helping customers. Then we usually close around 4 and we just kind of hang around for a little bit. Fun times. Kody has even gotten in on helping on Christmas Eve.

Now on Christmas Day we alternate between my parents house and 2 aunts houses for Christmas with my Dad’s side. We do Christmas with Mom’s side after the holiday.

Since Kody and I got married we’ve only spent 3 (this year will be 4) of the 10 Christmases together that we’ve been together. We were together in 2003 and never spent one Christmas Eve or Christmas Day together until 2009 when we got married! Talk about neither one of us wanting to break tradition. Really we felt it was best to be with our families during that time. In 2009, our first Christmas together, we woke up at our house on Christmas morning and opened gifts, we also did this in 2010. It’s special to wake up in our own house on Christmas morning and open gifts just the two of us. I love that time. Last year we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day in Jackson.

The Thompson family has a HUGE Christmas Eve tradition that last year I got to first experience. John (My FIL) and his siblings (there are 5 all together) and their kids, plus grandkids, plus extra people all gather for prime rib, games, and Christmas cheer. There’s usually at least 40 people at Kody’s Aunt & Uncle’s house (the house his Dad grew up in). It’s wild, crazy, and a regular Thompson time. We will miss that this year because we aren’t able to celebrate with them until the weekend after Christmas. Our BIL, Luke, has to work.

I am thrilled though we’ll be at our church Christmas Eve. It is my absolute favorite thing of the holiday season. Love, love, love it.

A few things in my mind that I can’t wait to do when we have kids are…

Elf on the Shelf…I bought this in 2009 and he’s been waiting patiently in my Christmas closet since then.

Letters to Santa on Christmas Eve along with cookies & milk.

Christmas Eve church service.

Some type of special breakfast on Christmas.

Looking at Christmas lights and listening to Christmas music.

Watching Elf, Charlie Brown’s Christmas, Christmas Vacation (Just KT & Me), and Polar Express together…

And many other things!

What are your holiday traditions?

My Life (Lately) in Pictures...

Again, we've been busy...imagine that.
We've worked the Christmas parade as parade marshals...and I was proud of our fire department...

We kept Ella & Molly Friday night for a few hours. We saw Santa, ate pizza and ice cream and played!

And then our tree is decorated and most nights I just sit and stare at it.

Love this season!

He wasn't really a hunter when we met but converted that way after moving to West Plains. The fact that he's a hunter is perfectly ok with me...he isn't in to sports so this is really his hobby. I even get excited about deer season because I like the meat! He killed 2 small deer last weekend and a big fat doe today. Proud of my little hunter! He saved his money and bought a new gun so he was pumped to use it.

I even went with him. Here's a few pictures. I'll spare you the one of his gutting it!
Wait, I’m the only one ever home, so this is what we email/text.

First I will say, he doesn’t like me to blog about him much. I feel like documenting this part of our lives because it’s really been an important part.

He has been spending 5+ nights a week at school doing math/speech/English/etc. Math is ALMOST, ALMOST over and we’re praising our GOOD LORD!! It was all supposed to be done last night but he has until this weekend to take the final.

I’m home alone a lot. I go to the gym a lot by myself after work, or I work late. I don’t mind and I enjoy my time. However, with that being said I have to say what a ROCKSTAR KT is. I’m in bed most nights when he gets home—around 10:30. So we only see each other in the mornings awake for about 10 minutes. He comes in and tells me goodnight when he gets home and then often does more homework/work stuff until midnight.

He’s now part of the leadership team at work and is shining there. I’m SO proud of him and thankful for what all he is doing.

Like I said in a previous post, this is a season of our lives. We must embrace the gift God has given us. Wake up, work, SMILE, do good, and go home and then do it all again.

What’s your biggest challenge these days?

Day trip…local wineries

The first Saturday in July Kody and I ventured out to Mountain View, which is very close and went to a few wineries we’d been hearing about. We took snacks, bought a couple of glasses of wine and took home a bottle to enjoy. We both love wine, especially Missouri wines and learning about the different kinds. The owners are sweethearts and we can’t wait to go back.

We ventured on into Mountain View to ‘antique’ or ‘junk’ as some people call it. No luck finding anything cool. We then headed back towards West Plains and stopped at Horst Winery. It was a neat place and the owner was a really nice guy. Again, we pulled out our snacks, bought a couple glasses of wine and a bottle to take home. At this point we were very impressed with the quality of both wineries and their wine.

The last place we stopped at on our way home was Traver Winery. It was not as neat, atmosphere wise, but fun to visit. Most of the wine was all very sweet, which we’re not big fans of. We did find one bottle we liked and took it home.

I’m thankful we live in a place where we have fun daytrips all around us. It was a fun day just Kody & I. We didn’t make it to Hermann this fall so we may have to take another daytrip back to Mountain View!

Any time spent with Kody is precious, and these days it’s been VERY few and far between. I hate that this fun day was all the way back in July! Crazy how time FLIES!!

Happy Anniversary!

Today, Kody and I have been married 3 sweet years. It’s easy to say crazy how time flies, and it really has…but for some reason our wedding seems like forever ago.

It was a BEAUTIFUL day out, much like today, just a little cooler and less wind. I got my hair done, make up done, and then we got ready and met for pictures. Kody and I did a first look, where we did see each other before the ceremony. I’m glad we did that looking back, we had ALL pictures done before the ceremony started…therefore we were able to just party afterwards!

Here are just a few of my favorite pictures from the best day of my life so far. The leaves were literally on fire the year we got married. It was definitely a peak day for them. You can see by the pictures. I said just a few but I can never pick and choose.<img style="border-bottom: 0px; We haven’t had professional shots of the two of us alone since we got married. It was due time. He didn’t want to have them done because I have a nice camera, but I never have anyone to take ours. So we went for it and it was a fundraiser for a little girl with cancer! Win-Win!

Here’s two she posted today. I love them. When I first started reading she wrote a lot about their sweet dog Romeo. Then I realized her and her husband were going through infertility. That's when I felt a connection. I prayed for them and they were blessed with the most beautiful baby girl I've ever seen, Preslee Bell Turner, who is now 10 months old.

I'm saying all of this because Matt, Julee's husband was killed in a car accident last night in Arkansas. The second I read the news today I felt sick and have prayed for this sweet family all day. You can visit her blog here http://mattandjuleeturner.blogspot.com/.

Matt was a news anchor for KNWA before they moved from Fayetteville to Little Rock to work for KTHV and to be closer to both of their families. You can read a brief story here http://www.fayettevilleflyer.com/2012/10/07/former-knwa-anchor-matt-turner-dies-in-one-vehicle-accident/

I've been so upset all afternoon for this family. Please cover them in prayer during this incredibly difficult time. Hug your children and spouses extra hard tonight. Life is too short and way too fragile. May God bless the Tuner and Bell families during this time.

Hi! I'm still here!

Why is life so crazy and busy lately? I honestly don't know, other than my job has become much more demanding, Kody is in more classes, we both are heavily involved at church, we keep up with our friends and their sweet kids, we work late, eat dinner late, do homework, and really only spend about an hour collectively together during the work week. Makes me tired to type it all out.

However, sometimes I feel like God is really testing us. He knows that I am selfish with my time, he knows I don't like to travel much because of our issue, he knows my limit and laughs at me for thinking my limit is much less than what he has planned for me. I surrender!

Lately I just want to run in a dark closet and hide. I won't though. I keep saying it over and over in my head that to everything there is a season. This is my season right now. KT says we will sleep when we're dead!

This is a season of life for us. Kody will graduate and be DONE with school some day. Our late nights at work will end because we will be rushing to pick up our babies from school some day.

My worrying about whether I will get pregnant will change to who is our child with tonight...call me when you get there...wear your seatbelts...etc.

Then, those worries will become a new season of life for us. I have learned to embrace each day as the gift that it really is.

I've been a bad blogger. My excuse is KT is using our computer when he's home to do homework. I wonder if that's enough reason to buy a Mac for me??!! ;)

When he's in class I go to the gym or work late. Normally do things for myself. I have a new found love...music. I love my iTunes at work, on my iPad, and iPod! It is always so nice to shut my door at work and turn on my music and work really hard without interruptions! I love my music when I run and I love to just turn it on at home. It motivates me!
We are getting Hurricane Isaac remnants today, so it will be raining all day and probably all day tomorrow. We need it, we’ve had serious drought conditions this summer!

1. What do you enjoy doing the most with your spouse?

This is tough. I enjoy so many things about KT. I’d say the best is how goofy we really are just sitting at home. He constantly is making me laugh and that’s so good for my soul.

2. How do you eat your taco? From the top or from the side?

I’m a side-to-side girl!

3. Have you ever shut off the basement light and ran like a fool because you knew someone was down there and would get you?

Seriously? I do this probably 3 times a day. I used to LOVE Follow that Bird, which is a Sesame Street movie. On there Big Bird gets adopted and his ‘adoption agent’ or whatever you want to call her is Miss Finch. The scariest bird I’ve ever seen! She was mean and I still see her face when I go up stairs at night!! I’m a total FREAK!!

4. If you could change one thing about you what would it be and why?

I would like to be about 4 inches taller. If I had longer legs they wouldn’t appear to be fat stumps!

5. What age do you think is appropriate to have the "bird and the bees" talk with your children?

I’d say whenever they become curious. No need to sugar coat or lie to them beforehand. I was probably a 5th grader…I’d also say when they hit puberty. Need to know what happens…

Girls Weekend

The weekend after our trip to Jackson we found ourselves on our way back over there just for a more calm, relaxing weekend. We got to town a little before 8 and the guys (Kody, John, Luke, & Kyle) headed to Kentucky Lake….and Teresa, Kaci, Lily and I held down the fort in Jackson! I hate traveling back-to-back weekends because I feel like I get nothing accomplished but I was SO looking forward to this weekend with the girls. It was much needed. :)

Friday night we just ate and sat around the house and watched the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympics….I got to love on Lily and play with her awhile before she went to bed. :)

Saturday I slept in a little and then went to Cape to shop for awhile. I was in the mood to spend money, which never happens, so I had to be careful with myself! ha! I also got to meet Ashley Lancaster for lunch at Cup & Cork. We had a lovely visit and it’s so crazy to think we only know each other through our blogs!! So crazy!! She is such a sweet person, inside and out…and has 2 of the cutest kids ever!

Afterwards I went to a new store downtown Cape called Philanthropy…Oh MY word! When I walked in they were jamming to my favorite praise music and had the CUTEST stuff! Clothes, jewelry, and home decor! They have redone the front of this old building on Broadway and it looks great! I got a big cross for our wall made out of sticks. I could have bought everything in the store. Can’t wait to go back!!

After Philanthropy I ran to Hobby Lobby and then back to Jackson to meet up with the girls. I spent a little time in the pool and then we all had dinner together.

We had a great time and the guys were back the next day mid afternoon and we headed home right then. I love Kody’s ‘girls’ in his family, very lucky to have them.

A little catch-up….Summer Engagement Party

I have got to get a grip on blogging and get back into the swing of things. Where has time gone? ;) Let’s back up to July 21st.

July 20th we headed to Jackson after work for a weekend of family and celebrating Kody’s cousin BJ and his fiancé, Jodie. They got engaged last fall but it is tradition for the aunts/uncles to throw the ‘cousins’ a couple’s shower in the family…well Jodie wanted an engagement party instead so that’s what Kody’s mom threw. She pulled out all of the stops as well. There were over 100 people invited so even though their house is no small shack, they had to rent tents so there would be more room because it was hot out.

Kody and Luke were in charge of picking up guests along the streets in the golf cart.
