Could you identify yourself from the soles of your feet or limbs amongst many?

Yet you believe it is part of your identity.

All of your body, you call you, but most of it you have either never seen or wouldn't recognise amongst that of others.

Are you really the body?

A fish in a tank is surrounded by water which is both inside the fish and which makes up the largest part of its body mass, yet it can’t see the water.

Consciousness is similarly around and within us, yet we can't see it.

It is the same consciousness for all existence, like the air that we breath, we come from one unifying source.

As water is to a fish, consciousness is within us and surrounds us and makes up every element of our being.

Is the mind in the body or the body in the mind?

The mind gives existence to the body but the consciousness gives existence to the mind.

The constant, the unchangeable.

Can you find anything that doesn't change in your life?
Can you find the one thing that has remained constant ever since you can remember?

Being present in the now is the only constant.

The unifying canvas - the possibility of all things - requires individual consciousness for the creation of relative objects. The subatomic particles, which make up all the objects that we see, necessitates their capture in consciousness to create form and mass, without which they are waves without form.

The particles that make up everything that we see in the universe, in order to exist, require to be seen. If they are not seen by a conscious being, they only have the potential to exist but have no shape or form. It is the seeing of them that creates them and that seeing is the unifying consciousness.

Have you ever been anywhere where there is nothing but you?
Do we have an independent existence?
Do we depend on other objects for our existence?

We can't exist without the sky, the earth and other objects. All objects, including us, have at their essence the one unifying canvas of consciousness, on which the entire universe of objects and their intertwined relationship occur. The seer is the seen, for everything depends on the seeing/consciousness.

Your existence is always tied to other objects. You can't exist totally alone and are not separate but rely for your being on everything around you. The one who looks is the same as what is seen, the looker and what is seen are both objects, like two sides of the same coin. It is the seeing that allows them to exist.

Whatever depends, is not real as the real is truly independent. Since the existence of the person depends on other objects, it cannot be real.

Even though the droplets appear separate they come from and will be united with their source.

The droplets to the source is like a dot to the canvas.

Even a small puddle of water will produce life in a short period of time. This is because the unifying force, which is the nature that unites us all, is the pregnant possibility of all life.

The window provides the light, the sun is the source or the supreme of the objects and the light. The sun shines all the time and within it all life arises.

Time is relative.

For a baby of six months, one month seems forever as it is one 6th of his life yet for an adult the month passes quickly as, relative to his time on this planet, it is only a small fraction. Although we believe that we share the same timeframe, time itself is different for each and every one of us. Only the canvas on which events are played out on is constant.

If for one month an adult takes a six month old baby on holiday, this is one sixth of the baby’s life on the planet and therefore seems to last forever. For the adult, it is only one month of many years and so passes relatively quickly. That is why time passes faster and faster as people get older compared to the time they have been on this planet.
