Upon visiting the engage website i found out just how much i know about shopping for engagement rings. Absolutely nothing. Energy rebates

Has anyone heard about San diegans getting a energy rebate this year? My wife and i heard about some recent news on TV channel 8 KFMB about many utility customers receiving some money back. I'm expecting to get some money back from San Diego gas & electric on the next bill. I'm hoping to get a good chunk of money back so i can buy some much needed items for the family. I couldn't believe it when yesterday i was washing my car and my neighbor and i were talking about the energy rebate thing and he asked me what my water bill was and i told him it's normally about $42.00 dollars every 2 months. He said something must be wrong with his water system because he says he's paying around $180.00 every 2 months! Whoa! Yeah, i think there's something wrong too! I told him he should have the water dept check out his meter. He said he already has a tech coming out soon to look into it. Good idea.

Changing weather

I guess the weather is changing because it was really cold today here in imperial beach, 62 degrees to be exact. We went out in field service today and spent about an hour and a half going threw the neighborhood and sharing the message of everlasting life here on earth in the future. But we had to wear our jackets for most of the day because it was so cold. I was able to wash my car today but it was cold as well this evening. I'm sure winter is right around the corner and we will need to get out our space heater soon. And with that comes higher electricity bills. Oh well.

The other day i took the family up to cuyamaca lake to see the the trees changing color, feed the ducks, and just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In this picture you can see my son and me where feeding the ducks pop corn and some leftover bread from home. We got an extra treat while we where up there in the mountains as we were able to see some wild turkeys and deer. I really enjoyed the time we spent up there in the mountains with family. We were able to pick up one of those famous Julian homemade apple pies but we had to cook it when we got home. I baked it in the oven today and we really loved the taste. Can't wait to go somewhere else soon. My family and i really need the R & R time.

I recently bought a new car and dumped my auto insurance provider because my insurance company was charging me too much money for my policy. Now I'm looking for a new insurance company that will help me to save some decent money on car insurance without breaking my wallet. So i searched online and found PremiumAutoInsurance.net I filled out my zip code and the accompanying online form and was able to receive a Free Auto Insurance Quotes from nationwide and i was able to save much more money than my previous insurance provider. At first i was skeptical about doing this because i thought no one could beat my previous insurance providers premiums but geez was i wrong! For instance i was able to save $130 on this free quote compared to my last insurance company's monthly premiums. The monthly premium would be $75 dollars from this new company. How's that for saving money? The second insurance quote i received was from geico insurance company. They quoted me $121 monthly premium. Obviously I'm going to go for the lower rate but this website was able to save me some big money so it was a win win situation for me. If you think your current insurance company is saving you money and has the best price, i suggest you think again like i did. You will be surprised how much you could save on car insurance if you just checked it again.

Mother is doing better

Yesterday my wife and i went to sharp memorial hospital in Coronado to visit my mom. She was moved there from scripps mercy hospital 5th ave after her health improved. It's really good news that she's doing better now. Sadly though, she has requested that she not be provided with any life saving treatment should her health deteriorate. She has a major heart artery that is blocked and fluid in her lungs. I like the sharp hospital in Coronado because its more attuned to personal one on one care. Well, she's comfortable and that's all that matters. We'll probably go see her tomorrow. That's all for now.

New acrylic window liners for our buses

Today my work had me doing a preventive maintenance on a new bus. I like the new buses our company purchased. They are easier to work on. For instance the window liners for the passenger windows are easier to replace because of this new liner technology. There's 4 liners to a window and when graffiti gets on the window just pull the old liner off and you have a new one behind it. I'm wondering if this company called uhmw designed these new acrylic window liners. This new design cuts the replacement time in half. Day at balboa park with family

We were supposed to go out in field service yesterday with an elder from another congregation but it was cancelled because some brother and sister happen to be visiting the elder so we had to go back home. We decided to go out to field service with our congregation but those plans fell thru the window as well because i ended up getting a call from my sister telling me that my mom was in the hospital so we went to visit my mom. She is very sick right now. Anyways, after visiting my mom in the hospital, we went to balboa park and strolled around the park. We took my son to the San Diego railroad museum and he loved it. Before we left balboa park i made it a point to find some horses so my son can see them and wouldn't you know it, but who happen to be strolling by? None other than 2 of San Diego's finest police mounted on horses. My son loved it. He had a great time and we bought him a replica of the space shuttle at the aerospace museum. That's all for now. I sent my old Dell computer to my sister-in-laws in the Philippines so they can use it instead of their old junker computer. I told them to throw their old computer away and use the one I sent them. I bought that computer 6 years ago and it’s still working great up to this time. I remember when I purchased it I had used some Dell coupons which I got from one of the electronic stores here in our city. I have no regrets with what I’ve purchased because I think I got the best computer discounts one could get at the time. Although I have my new computer right now, I’m still proud to say that I am a Dell computer lover.

She’s already a month old. Geezzz time flew by so fast, it’s like she was just born yesterday and now she’s already a month old? Wow! Sooner or later she’s going to start crawling and before we know it she’s already talking like his big brother. We just hope that she will be as sweet and lovable as his brother is.

The other day we went to see one of our friends from the otay mesa congregation. She wanted to see our new born baby as usual like everyone else has been saying she said our baby girl looked just like daddy. Great! I was hoping she would look like my wife because i dont exactly consider myself picture material but not this baby. My son looks just like my wife but my daughter has my traits and she's white. Oh well, thats ok. I love my wife and i love my children no matter what. Hopefully next week we can visit the otay mesa congregation so the rest of the friends can see our baby girl.

Today is my day off and I thought it would nice to help my wife do some house chores so she can rest for a little bit. I was cleaning our closets and sorting some out clothes when I found my wife’s embroidered bags that we've got from APTA trade shows last year. We got those bags for FREE. I'm glad I found it because know she was looking for these bags a couple of weeks ago but for some reason she said that she couldn’t find it. I think she wants to send these bags to her family back home. My wife is so generous to her family, she always make sure that she have something for them at least each year. Well, every year she sends packages to her family to make them happy in her own little way.

I went back to work Sunday after having two weeks of paid family leave to bond with my new daughter. She was born on September 28, 2009 at 8:24 pm and weighed 8lbs 8 ozs. I really didn't want to go back to work as i was also dealing with a bad sinus cold i caught from my 2 yr son Ethan but i had no choice because i only get 3/4 of my paycheck if i stay on paid family leave even though you contribute that money from your paycheck. Well, now that I'm back to work i look forward to getting my regular paychecks again but i miss being at home with my wife and son. That's all for now. check back later for updates.

If my laptop could talk to me it would be telling me that it's working to hard day in day out. My owner has me turned on as he is writing this article and I've recently started groaning and making noises. I was nice and shiny and didn't have a scratch on my surface when i was first purchased but I'm over 3 years old now and my cover is scratched and the stickers are peeling off my front cover and i have traveled as far as 8000 thousand miles to the Philippines in the hot and humid weather. I've recently been to the local hospital where my owners wife gave birth but the Internet wasn't that good so i couldn't be too productive that day. One day I was laying on the couch with my cover closed and a little boy jumped up onto the couch and walked right on top of me. I screamed out in pain at the little boy: Ethan! i thought for sure my screen had broken but as it was, i just had survived another toddler attack. I don't know how much abuse i can take from this kid. When this little boy got some smarts in him he tried to put a Crayola crayon in my Ethernet port access plug. Its full of yellow crayon right now so i don't breath to well and i keep reminding the owner to please clean me before i short out some day. Recently i don't know how it happen but my owners son pryed the #9 key off my keyboard. I wanted to scream at this little boy because of the severe pain it caused to me but i couldn't since i'm only a laptop. I was thinking the owner would have to take me in for repairs but he was able to fix it himself. And my dummy slot card for the extra memory slot has been missing on me since the little boy attacked the "open"button which ejects the dummy memory so a memory card can be inserted. I don't know what it is with kids and buttons but they go together like baseball and hot dogs. My owner said he would like to purchase a laptop for his work and was looking at some HP models. Most of our friends say that my daughter has a strong resemblance of me compared to my wife. Oh well I guess that’s the way it is. They said usually girls will look like the daddy more than boys will. I’m not sure about that though. But anyways, my wife and I are so happy to finally see her, touch her, hug and kiss her. We are also glad to know that she’s healthy because that’s what we were praying for. Our daughter had her first visit to her pediatrician the other day and we found out that she gained a little weight and lengths already which is really a good sign. She’s doing pretty good at nights too, she don’t give us a hard time because she will just sleep and wakes up whenever she’s hungry or needs some diaper changed. That’s all for now guys, I will keep you posted with the latest updates of our daughter and family soon.

Qwest high speed internet

In these tough economic times that we live in today many consumers are holding onto their money and using it to pay off credit cards debt and pay bills and buy just the necessities like food and medicine. I've been noticing lately that the big communications companies are spending a lot of money on advertising to lure new customers and offering big cuts in their communications services to these new customers. Unfortunately my wife and i already have a communications provider for our high speed Internet, cable TV, and phone service but sad to say they didn't provide us with the deep discounts and savings that Qwest communications is currently providing their new subscribers. For instance, if we switched our current high speed Internet service provider to Qwest high speed Internet we could have had high speed Internet service for a year at a savings of $19.99 a month for one year with connection speeds of up to 1.5mbps. That's some pretty good savings considering many people are cutting out unnecessary items on their budget just to makes ends meet. We had to cut out our home phone service because it was getting to expensive but looking at the quest prices i just found out that they have the basic Qwest phone service for home for about $23.00 a month which beats our current phone prices.

When we first moved into our apartment here in Imperial Beach we noticed that there was no cable hook up here so we thought about subscribing to a local communication provider, but after we subscribed we started to have all kinds of problems with out cable TV service and high speed Internet service. To make a long story short we ended up switching to a new provider but they don't offer the kind of money savings that we would like to see. If you want to save serious money in these hard financial times check out Qwest website and compare to your current communications provider.

Well, another false alarm today as i took my wife to the hospital this morning what was just more simple contractions but nothing extraordinary. We want this baby to come out now because it's been a long time coming and my wife has been thru so much. It's a baby girl so that's good news because we already have a boy. But that's it! The baby making machine is getting permanently turned off and i'm throwing away the key. I'll be glad when this is all over and we can relax for a little bit. They will induce the baby to come out next monday 8/31/09 and so it looks like i'm gonna finally get a week off to sleep in a little bit and i do mean a little bit.

Student VS Teacher DRAG RACE

My 2 year old son loves to have cars. Every time we go to walmart we always buy him a toy car at the toy department. Now he has a basket full of every kind of car imaginable that you can think of. Today after coming home from work, i turned on the laptop to check my email but my son wants to see photos of cars so i visited the website youtube and ran into this video of a teacher and his student drag racing. It was amazing to watch the video and i kinda figured out before the race who was going to win. The winner of the race would receive a brand new 2010 ford mustang. I'm an auto mechanic by trade so i prefer the Shelby mustang gt 500. It has more horse power and features than the standard version has and stands out like a sore thumb. I used to work for a ford dealership in California as a heavy line mechanic so i know a little about ford vehicles. Its kinda funny though how the student which has no prior racing experience whatsoever is able to beat his teacher who has 20 years of professional drag racing experience. During the first race i over heard the old man saying something to the effect that the reason why the teacher lost the first race was because it might of hit a patch of water and may have blown the blower belt. Hmmm? Tough luck! But in the second race the student decides to be a good sport and give the teacher a car length ahead. Outcome: The teacher spins his wheels and that means its all over for the teacher. The final outcome: Teacher= 0 Student= 2 Game over! I encourage my visitors to watch this video.

Wife is having contraction

My wife is almost 37 weeks of pregnant and we’re hoping anytime soon she’s going to give birth. Today my wife is feeling weird from her contraction; she said that if she’s going to rate the pain it’s going to be 4 out of 10. We might have to go to the hospital after dinner just to make sure that she’s not in labor yet. Well if she does then we’re praying for a healthy baby and normal delivery. I’m thinking about my son if whose going to take care of him when my wife is in labor, I have to be with her. This is really hard. I might have to call for a friends help to have them baby sit my son so I can be with my wife. We need your prayers; I’ll keep you posted with the latest news about us soon!

When I came to work yesterday morning I saw there were bunch of new Office Chairs in the hallway. I think it’s about time to change our chairs, I hope they will also change the couch in the waiting area because it’s too bulky and the people find it so uncomfortable when they sit on it and not only that, I can see them having hard time getting up from that couch. Anyways, I’m glad they purchased new office chairs because the old ones that we’ve had are too worn-out and some of it were stained from coffee. I’m sure on Monday first thing in the morning as part of the cleaning day, the management will definitely ask us to take our old chairs outside and replace it to the new ones they purchased. I can’t wait to grab mine.

What I'm talking about is that my wife and i bought a laptop from best buy last year for about $800.oo after taxes and warranties and so forth but I'm not complaining about the price of the laptop. If it matter's to anyone it was an Acer Extensa and after a year of use I'm pretty happy with it but that's not were i got my money taken from me. It's the money i paid for the warranty. I paid $100 for a warranty for a year and i just read a forbes.com article "7 ways you're getting ripped off" Quoted from that article where it mentioned i could have got a better warranty for the same price. Oh well, the damage has already been done so there's no sense in calling damage control. I plan on buying another laptop later on down the road sometime but I'll make sure to do my homework before i think about buying a warranty from a brand name electronics supplier.

Here we go again. It seems like every time some American citizens are rescued from some foreign country, soon after someone else gets arrested and the united states has to start the whole process all over again. This time apparently 3 UC Berkeley graduates who were hiking and sightseeing in the Kurdish region of Iraq must have accidentally hiked near or over the border into Iran thereby getting themselves arrested. "There is no 'Lonely Planet Iraqi Kurdistan,'" Shon Meckfessel, a 36-year-old Sacramento naive, said in a statement posted on the Web site of The Nation magazine. "I hope that people understand my friends' presence in the area for what it was: a simple and very regrettable mistake." Meckfessel, a graduate student at the University of Washington, once played bass in the rock band Cake and is the author of "Suffled How it Gush: A North American Anarchist in the Balkans," which was published earlier this year. Since the united states and Iran have had a sticky relationship because of ongoing disagreements concerning nuclear technology and the like it is feared that the Iranians will use the 3 as bargaining chips within a tense relationship between Iran and the United States. What do you think the Iranians will do with those 3 hikers? I can't for the life of me figure out why some one would actually want to go over there in the first place since there is anti American sentiment and its considered a country that sponsors terrorism.
