the last few weeks have been a roller coaster ride for me; where everyone smiles in my face and frowns in my back.. that’s the least of my concern, honestly.. firstly, i could not even think of any reason why people should do me inanity.. then, in an unexpected turn of events, everyone connived against me.. stories have been fabricated, allegations have been thrown at me, maligning my life as a career guy and a private citizen.. the whole battalion of half-assed bigots turned their backs on me ala coupe de etat.. it was okay.. it was totally alright.. afterall, everyone is entitled to do what they have to do, provided they have to do it for the right reasons..

“politics is everywhere”, so they say.. it’s the one stupid reason why a peaceful squadron goes to war.. it’s one dumb reason why a young and innocent life has to become a collateral damage or in a more political term, a sacrificial lamb.. people think it’s the only way to calm down the raging waters, they did not know, it’s the most unacceptable move that one can take.. it’s like an underwater megaquake.. it shakes the solid rock bottom, leaving the happy beach bums with a calm water, only to be caught offguard by a high magnitude of destructive wave..

regardless of which race and which place anyone comes from, animosity is the most ruthless emotion.. it destroys friendship, relationship and can even break families apart.. i could never imagine how anyone could be so happy looking at anyone falling into pieces.. if only people can be so respectful and be happy about someone else’s achievement instead of being so jealous, this world would be better.. if only everyone works hard and stop plundering on someone else’s catch, then there will be peace.. but some people just tend to work half-assed and prey on someone else’s harvest.. these, the kind that need to grow up and get a real life..

i can only wish for peace to those who have done me wrong, inflicted me harm and caused me damage.. so they say, “what goes around, comes around”.. i respect them for showing their true colors, and i pray that may they have a happy life free from bigotry, a life where they will not be able to taste a dose of their own medicine..

and for me, for as long as i am sorrounded by good people, la vida sigue.. regardless..

So, after years of trying to get my license to fight, I’ve decided to give it another shot..

Yes, one of the reasons why I was “inaccessible” lately is the fact that, I work sun up to sun down and I have to run to the gym to train intensely..

I’ve always wanted to get that one shot to step into the square circle and go mano y mano wit someone.. Mixed Martial Arts or Boxing.. My fiancee is not solved with this idea of throwing myself into the ring just to get hurt or better yet, hurt someone, but hey, Drake himself said, #YOLO (Yes, that is with a hashtag).. LOL..

So, for those of you who are asking what am I up to lately, here’s a Post-Workout picture I took just today, showing some progress in my pursuit to being a fighter, I mean, a literal fighter (of course, we are talking about blood, wounds, pain and wagger here).. So, yeah, as soon as I have another time to post some of the routines I am doing at the gym, I will keep all of you posted..

I don’t know.. Pardon my emotional alter-ego, but as always, when I am really troubled and down, I’d always run to mom for a talk. then everything gets better.. It has always been like that since I first realized, I am really human (LOL).. Well, I’d go to dad too, but what my old guy and I talk about are merely “Guy Things”..

Lately, I have been into many disappointments and frustrations, both at work and in my personal life.. You know when someone promised you something and it did not happen? Or when you expect someone to help and do “it’s” part, yet, “it” just sits there like a hellbent son of a bitch chihuahua waiting for bread crumbs under the table? Sometimes, I start to wonder where did I go wrong, but I guess, if I just keep on asking questions and not finding the answers myself, it’s useless..

Years ago, when things like these happen, I would always see myself with mom talking about life as a whole.. No one better understands the complexity and wonders of life than my mom.. She, herself is a life bearer for once, and she knows for sure how important and delicate life is..

My mom is just a typical housemaker after deciding to give up her career in Social Work in favour of building a better family foundation.. Her typical day-to-day work teaching rural kids their ABCs turned into a lifelong sacrifice of teaching her family how the alphabet spells life to its fullest.. She became the best cook, budget officer, an all-around mainstay at home..

Turning back to a career she loved must have been the hardest part among her many decisions but she became the best mom as a result.. The result, she took care of dad and my other sibling the best way she can.. She was a total package.. She was Superwoman..

Even in sickness, she prepared us for long years to accept her passing.. It was hard but life goes on as she have always wanted it.. Life does not depend on someone at all but life is something someone has to depend when no one comes to rescue..

This is why when down times strike me in the head and pulls me down the drain, I would always keep myself fighting up coz the one person that used to listen to my whines and rants has journeyed to the great beyond.. And in time, when my own mortal passage comes to a full halt, I would be braver to face her again to tell her I just had the greatest journey I have ever been, and there in the grounds where my body laid next to her will be a hallowed abode of two great triumphs..

Please do not get mad.. I only have few days left before I go back to the city, and so, if you think I did not miss you, you are very wrong.. All of the time I am away doing things I have to, you are always on my mind..
