Just Sitting Here Thinking Of You For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone!! One of my New Year's Resolutions was to use my Cricut more often. I have been getting the Cricut Magazine at JoAnns for a several months now and my hubby even gave me a subscription to the Magazine for Christmas. I have all these magazines next to my bedside and before I go to sleep, I look through them for some inspiration. I finally have my Cricut out of the box. I don't really have a permanent home for it in my craft room though. It's sitting on top of the box that it came in and I take it to the kitchen table whenever I need to use it. I used it to cut the frame in today's card. I think it's a good start.

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge, we are being hosted by the talented June. This week's challenge is to use Blue and White on a card or project. For my card, I used Nitwit Cottage Charm Digi Design Papers. Tilda With The Cute Skirt, from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock. Tilda's dress was colored with Water Based Markers and a Tombow Colorless Blender Pen. I colored the markers on a Stay Put Craft Mat and picked them up with the blender pen. The rest of Tilda was colored with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The frame that Tilda is sitting on was cut using the Cricut Fancy Frames Cartridge <Frame 12> + <Fram 12Lr>. The roses on the frame started out white and were colored using the same Water Based Markers that I colored Tilda's dress with. I had seen a wonderful video that Bev Rochester had done on altering flowers and I had to try it. I colored the markers on a craft mat and sprayed them with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist. I lightly sprayed the white roses with Glimmer Mist as well. Then, I took the roses and picked up the color from the craft mat. I made the little white flowers with a couple of small flower punches and some stamens that I found at JoAnns in the cake decorating department. The white trim was also found at JoAnns. The Blue Making Memories Ribbon was a gift from Wooten's Scrapbook Store. If you live in Southern California, you have to visit one of their stores. Wooten's has the most wonderful selection of papers and embellishments that I have ever seen. And, Mr. and Mrs. Wooten, the owners, are the nicest people and always so helpful. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Wooten for being so kind to Jacque, Bev, Michelle and me when we shopped at your Tustin Store after CHA.

Before I close, I would like to share some exciting news with you!! I have been asked to be on the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog Design Team!! Oh My Goodness!! I can't tell how thrilled I am to be on this wonderful team!! All the Design Team members are so talented!! Sending Love To You For Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone! I'm so excited to be hosting my very first Just Magnolia and hAnglar and stAnglar Challenge. When I was asked to pick a theme, the first thing that came to my mind was a Doily. Doilies remind me of handmade Valentine's, hearts and love, so I thought it would be the perfect theme for this time of year. All you need to do is add a doily - store bought, die cut or crocheted to your project along with a Magnolia or hAnglar and stAnglar image. It would make me so happy if you could join me and the rest of the talented Design Team for this week's challenge. For my card, I used We R Memory Keepers - Love Struck Design Papers. Tilda Sending Love, from Magnolia-licious was colored with Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. This Tilda is one of my favorites from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection. I think she is so cute! I love her curly hair! The heart doily is from Wilton that I found at Michaels. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, Recollections and from my stash. The vine was cut with a Bosskut Die. The crocheted lace is from JoAnns. The pearls are from Hero Arts. And, the stitched ribbon is also from my stash!

Hello Everyone! I hope this finds you all doing well! I'm still trying to recover from CHA. I can tell that I'm still a bit tired, because when I was making this card, everything I added to it went down a little crooked. LOL! Has that ever happened to you? Well as you can see, I was able to get things straightened up a little bit! I hope you like it!

For my card, I used Digi Papers from Nitwit - Val'n Tine Collection. I added some Hero Arts Ultra Fine Prisma Glitter to Tilda's wings. The little pearl hearts are also from Hero Arts. The flowers are from Recollections and Prima. I added Recollection pearls to the centers of the flowers. The pearl flourishes are also from Recollections. The lace and XOXO are from my stash.

Mini Magnolia Valentine's Day Cards and Treats

Hello Everyone! Like I promised, here are the Valentine's Day Cards, Pillow Box and Lollipop Cover that I made for CHA. I was asked to make them using Magnolia Mini World Stamps from Magnolia-licious. While making the cards and treats, I realized how much I love these little cuties!! Instead of making the usual 6" square cards, I made 3 1/2" square cards.

I think this size is just perfect for a little Valentine Greeting for someone special!

For the With Love Card, I used Digi Papers from Design House Digital - Kate Teague Valley of Love Papers. The Mini Tilda With Heart was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The scalloped heart was cut using CC Designs Cutter Big Hearts Embossing Die. The saying is from the Valley of Love Elements. The scalloped border is from EK Success.

For the Puppy Love Card, I used Digi Papers from Nitwit - From the Heart Collection. The Mini Tilda with Puppy was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The large scalloped heart was cut using Nestibilities Classic Hearts and Classic Scalloped Hearts. The heart border is from EK Success. And, the love brad is from Basic Grey.

Here are the Valentine's Day Pillow Box and Lollipop Cover. The pillow box is from Wilton.
I found the directions for the lollipop cover here. I decorated both using Digi Papers from Nitwit - Val'n Tine Collection. Mini Tilda with the String of Hearts was colored using Alcohol Markers, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. The scalloped rectangular mats behind Tilda were cut using the Cricut - Elegant Edges Cartridge. The heart border is from EK Success. They were so easy to make and would be great for a school party, birthday party, or just to make for blogging friends!

CHA Pictures

Hello Everyone! I can't tell you how wonderful it was to be able to attend the Winter CHA! The best part was being able to meet in person some of the friends I have met in the blogging world. Big hugs to all of you! A special thank you to Diana Crick, owner of ScorPal and Magnolia-licious for allowing me to be apart of the whole experience!

Here I am with my very dear and talented friend Jacque! Jacque and I colored hundreds of Mini Magnolia images before hand to put on pillow boxes to give out at the convention and we even had to color more images there at the show too!! The pillow boxes were such a big hit! I think we ended up making over 700 of them! Big Hugs to Cabio, Mindy, Angie, and Patti Jo for helping us put the boxes together!

On Sunday evening, I was treated to a wonderful flower making class taught by the very talented Patti Jo. Thank you so much Patti Jo! Oh My Goodness, you have to take a look at here blog. She makes the most beautiful handmade flowers. It was so much fun learning how to make the flowers and to also sit down and do some crafting with such a talented bunch of ladies! Pictured left to right: Patti Jo, Bron, Diana, Sharon, Cabio, Me - the tall one in the center, Jacque, Mindy, Bev, and Angie.

On Monday night, Diana treated us all to a wonderful dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company! Thank you so much Diana! It was such a marvelous time filled with good food and a lot of laughter! We were all laughing so much that tears were running down our faces! Pictured left to right: Bron, Mindy, Angie, Sharon, Patti Jo, Cabio, Suzanne, Diana, Me, Bev and Jacque.

On Wednesday afternoon, after the show was over, Michelle, Bev, Jacque and I went to Disneyland for a few hours. Here we are inside the front entrance. It was Bev and Jacque's first visit!! These ladies are the sweetest most wonderful ladies I have ever met! I felt I like I have known them forever!

I wish I had more pictures to show of the convention, but photographs were not allowed unless you were a buyer. From what I did get to see, you better start saving your money!
I saw some beautiful Flowers from Prima, Spring Darjeeling Flowers from Petaloo, Tim Holtz Distress Markers, Embellishments and Tissue Paper Garland that I can't wait to get from Melissa Frances and some very cute images from Stampavie!

While at the show, I also found out some exciting news that I will share with you sometime soon!

Snowflakes Are Angel Kisses for Just Magnolia and hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge

Hello Everyone!! I hope you all have finished your holiday shopping!! I still have to get a couple of stocking stuffer for my hubby and my dog, Woody and I will be all done!! I mailed out all the packages for family and friends on Tuesday along with the Christmas Cards!!

A lady in line at the post office asked me if I felt like Santa. I laughed and asked her why.

She said it was because I was mailing out so many packages. I wish I had Santa's Elves to help me with all the things I need to do before Christmas!! LOL!!

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge Blog, we are being hosted by the

talented Sara. For this Challenge, which will run for two weeks because of the holiday season, the theme is White Plus One Other Color. I hope that you will come and join us!! Your entry will give you an opportunity to be the lucky winner of a wonderful prize from Dies To Die For or Letraset.

For My Card, I used Blue with White Glitter Dot DP from Me & My Big Ideas and White Glitter Paper from JoAnns. Since I don't have any of the larger dies, I used Easy Scalloped Frames Template from Hot Off the Press to make the shape of the card. I trimmed the points down to be even with the scallops. I used the Martha Stewart Scallop Snowflake Border Punch to make the border. Before I glued it down along the fold, I added blue sparkle ribbon from my stash. The center shapes were made using the Nested Shapes Template from Hot Off the Press. I used Martha Stewart Scallop Snowflake Deep Edge Punch to make the large center snowflake. I placed a smaller snowflake on top of it, which I cut with a Cuttlebug Snowflake Die. A clear iridescent fingernail charm was placed in the center. I also added the iridescent fingernail charms to the centers of the snowflakes on the border. Halo Tilda from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored with Copic Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, and Gamsol. Hero Arts Ultra Fine Prisma Glitter was added to her wings, halo and star wand. The saying was computer generated.

For the matching ornament, I used 3-D Ornaments Template from Hot Off The Press.
I added a snowflake from Michaels. Mini Halo Tilda was added to the center.

With All My Heart For Just Magnolia and Christmas Candy

Happy December Everyone! I still can't believe that it is already December!! Where has the year gone!! In Southern California where in live, we have been experiencing unusually high winds. Luckily, there has been no damage caused by them in my neighborhood. I hope wherever you are that you are enjoying a beautiful day!!

Today at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & stAnglar Challenge Blog, we are being hosted by the talented Donalda. For this Special Monthly Challenge, the theme is Anything Goes along with the option of Lots of Sparkle. I had a lot of fun with this challenge!! If you like glitter like I do, I know you will have a lot of fun too!! I hope that you will come and join us!! For my card, I used Red with White Polka Dots and Snowflake DP's from Three Bugs in a Rug - Let It Snow Collection. I also used Red Glitter Paper from JoAnns. I used Martha Stewart - Snowflake Punch Around the Page that I purchased from HSN for the snowflake frame. I have to tell you that it looked like it had snowed in my craft room, because I don't know how many times I tried to punch the snowflake frame. LOL!! The border would not match up with the corners. The instructions said to start with a 3 1/4" square. I finally realized that it needed to be smaller, so I used a 3 3/16" square. Tilda with Snow Heart from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored with Copic Markers, Prismacolor Pencils, and Gamsol. The snow heart was glittered with Hero Arts Ultra Fine Prisma Glitter. This is my favorite glitter!! I also used the glitter to re-glitter the snowflakes that I found at Michaels using Martha Stewart Glitter Glue. I wanted the snow heart and snowflakes to have the same color of sparkles. The red sparkle ribbon is from my stash. I used the Bow Easy to make the bow.

For my very first Design Team Card, I used Season's Greetings Digital Design Papers from Echo Park - Paper Pack #1 and #2. I also used Season's Greetings Digital Element Pack #1 for the tree and the saying. Something For You Tilda from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored with Copics, Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I added Doodlebug White Flock to Tilda's hat and dress with Sakura Quickie Glue. I used ek Success 3/8 inch Ribbon Scallop Border Punch and threaded some Organza Ribbon from my stash through it. The poinsettias are from Prima - Holiday Poinsettia Calypso Tin. The gifts are stickers from Sandylion Essentials. I die cut the holly with #656293 Phrase, Noel w/Holly & Frame Sizzilits Decorative Strip.

Poinsettias For All Of You

I hope you all are having a wonderful week!! I spent some time this weekend getting together Christmas DP's, embellishments, and dies that are in my stash. I have used some of the things I found on my card!! I have made it for the Just Magnolia and hAnglar and sTanglar Special Monthly Challenge - Anything Goes with the Option of Pearls and Lace.

For this card, I used SEI Christmas Mint Marzipan and Nonparelis DP's. Tilda with Hood from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White Card Stock and colored with Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I added Our Craft Lounge Sugar Sparkly Fluff and Doodlebug White Flock to the fringe of Tilda's coat. I kept adding Sakura Quickie Glue and fluff and flock until I got the thickness that I wanted. The white roses, white rosebuds, and white lace with pearls are from my stash. The large poinsettia is from the floral department at Michaels. I removed it from the stem and added a pearl brad from K and Company to the center. The holly was cut using Sizzix Border Die #656293 Phrase, Noel with Holly and Frame. The red rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts. They were a gift from my very talented and sweet friend Jacque. Thank you Sweetie!! I love them!! The red berries are large red pearl beads that I threaded on a green wire, so they could be added to the arrangement.

Show and Tell Challenge

Happy Halloween Everyone!! Thank you so much to all of you who stopped by yesterday
to wish me luck and to become a follower!! A special thank you to my sweet friend Jacque!!

This is a card that I made for the All That Scrap's Show and Tell C.C. Designs Challenge.

The Challenge requires the use of Black, Burnt Orange and Tan. I found a leaf shape that I liked and hand cut the leaf out of Digi DP's from the Shabby Princess Plentiful Collection to form an easel card. The cute pilgrim couple is C.C. Designs Digi Sugarplums Thanksgiving. I found the image of the turkey off the Internet. I thought that it matched the pilgrims pretty well. I printed all the images on Cryogen White multiple times, so that I could give each image some dimension. I colored the images using Copics and Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. I glued all the image pieces together using Sakura Quickie Glue Pinpoint Roller. This is my favorite glue to paper piece images. The pilgrims were popped up using dimensional tape. The Happy Turkey Day saying is from Peddler's Pack Stampworks. I can't believe this, but on the end of the stamp it says that it is from 1994. LOL!! The border punch is Fiskars Falling For You.

I finally decided to take the leap and start my own blog after much encouragement from so many wonderful friends that I have met in the blogging and card making worlds.

For my very first posting, I would love to share with you a card that some of you may have seen on the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group or at Splitcoaststampers. I have made this special card for my very sweet and talented friend, Jacque, who is a Breast Cancer Survivor!! Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I wanted to make Jacque a card to celebrate her strength, courage and grace with a little pink!!

For my card I have used Digi DP's from MyGrafico - Shery K's Love Cherries Collection.
I have printed the DP's on Georgia - Pacific White Card Stock 110 lb. weight.
The Tilda with Peony from Magnolia-licious was stamped on Cryogen White, colored with Copics and Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol. Tilda's dress was paper pieced using Digi DP from MyGrafico Shery K's Daisies Collection sized to a 2.5" square. Before gluing all the pieces together, I went around all the edges with black colored pencil. I feel that it gives the image a more finished look and also it hides any areas that might not have been cut perfectly. The Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon was cut using a Sizzix Die from the Scrap Pink Kit #655411. It was popped up along with Tilda using dimensional tape. The heart lace is from JoAnns. The small roses are from Recollections and the sweet rosebuds are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
