Is Arsenic album (homeopathic Medicine) really preventing from getting infected with Corona Virus?

The answer in my personal observation is yes. I have taken the medicine, of course I haven't believed while taking but now I shall. I will let you know why.

I took Arsenic album along with some of my family and friends. Recently few people close to me got infected with Corona and some of my friends too, then we did a survey in our family and friends and listed out the people who took that medicine and who did not. We got surprised that the people who took this haven't got the virus even though we were close to the infected ones. This is our personal survey and finding.

How To Get Over Depression: Practically & Concrete

We find many articles online about how to get rid of Depression which are abstract and not specific.So I am writing this post which is Concrete and Specific.

Now & Then it is quite common for us to lose hope and confidence and to get lost in nothingness because of our urban lifestyle, globalization, staying away from home & family, availability of no one to share our feelings and Breakups or a series of unfortunate events, these all lead to emotional imbalance, stress & insomnia which on a long term leads to Depression.

Being in depression, we cannot think how normal we used to be once, we might even forget how happy, successful we were but once in a while we want to fight it desperately and want to become normal again then we start to search & ask how to get over Depression. We want to re-discover the older, happier & successful versions of us but all we get is abstract techniques & vague suggestions to become busy, occupied, talk to someone we like , watch movies, meditate, play a sport and practice yoga. We try all of those and find those all help until we are occupied with them after coming out of those activities and return to our daily routine everything comes to normal again, Depression posses us again, some give up at this stage but some digs deep.

Here I strongly believe even the cause of this depression was from outside stimuli and no matter how hard we try to get rid this Depression by thinking, consoling and feeding our mind with reasons to get over it but we can`t because it is being caused by the biological chemical changes in our brain and something should be done which acts on this chemical process and corrects it. At this stage we go see a Psychologist or a Psychiatrist. In-addition to the aforementioned abstract & vague suggestions doc prescribes Medicines.

This is the crucial stage, the doc prescribes Anti-Depressants like ZOLOFT, PROZAC, ELAVIL etc., which works like a charm by increasing the levels of Dopamine and Serotonin but when the course is over and when we stop using them then the real thing starts, we become more depressive and suicidal tendency increases and this is where some commit SUICIDE. Because the meds do not work on the root cause of the issue.

I went through all of this S***!. But everything changed when I used the natural Anti-Depressant. ASHWAGANDHA which is extracted from the roots of Withania somnifera. I had no hope that it could cure Depression but miraculously it worked like a charm. I took two pills a day before breakfast and after dinner for two months. Everything came back to normal. Ashwagandha worked without side-effects and I felt normal after discontinued using it. In addition to this I would recommend some Add-ons which are the following

What Defines Perceptions ?

What is perception?

Perception is how a being receives & organizes data about the world around it

I think it differs from animals and humans and another important thing here that we should take into consideration is that every being has unique perception,because there are billions of people in this world but no two persons have the same perception even the mono zygotic twins.So we can come to a conclusion on this one that perception is not of biological nature completely.By this we know that each & every individual is unique no matter how ,even they are born & brought up similarly.

Now what defines our perceptions ?

Psychologists say that our behavior & personality is a 50:50 ratio of our genes & how we are brought up,so i do agree with that because we tend to see a lot of common behavior among family members who shares the common genetic material , but apart from that perceptions are different, here i state that perceptions are mostly defined and molded by the way we brought up and genes here have a pretty much lower amount of significance in defining our perceptions.

Suppose , a being which experienced a particular kind of felling or pain or threatening from a particular thing or being perceives it the same way until it has a new experience with the particular thing or being, but to have a new different kind of experience with the same thing or being there must come an opportunity, but the being which had the particular experience previously will oppose to have an experience with the particular thing or being as it was painful & threatening,this does not applies to human beings, because our perception is much lot different than other beings,i think so because of the dual nature of our personality ,here we should quote the sigmund freud`s theory "TRIPARTITE" the more than one aspect of our personality,that is "ID" "EGO" & "SUPEREGO", which is not widely accepted ,i also want to mention a remarkable ideology from "BHAGAVADGITHA" which used to be a great Hindu spiritual doctrine, i think personally about it as a supreme personality development manual, lets cut about it here.The BHAGAVADGITHA also states that our personality has three aspects ,they are "MANASU" "BUDDHI" "CHITTHAM".Here i find a great similarity between these two and want to elaborate it.

1) ID (or) MANASU :- One aspect which craves for fulfillment of needs & desires
2) EGO (or) BUDDHI :- Second aspect which think of the ethical & moral values and a check to id
3) SUPEREGO (or) CHITTHAM : - Third aspect which stores our past experiences which in turn helps us to make correct decisions based on the past experiences & as per freud, it is a counter check to id.

Here i want to make contrast that the first two ID (or) MANASU & EGO (or) BUDDHI plays a dominant role in shaping our perceptions so i stated above the dual nature,the third one SUPEREGO (or) CHITTHAM can be excluded here ,i think.As explained above i think only human personality has these three aspects, which the other beings lack,that made us the dominant & supreme species on earth,animals which lack these aspects ,the dual nature of personality can survive but not efficiently like us,this dual nature or aspects of our personality made us pioneers,masters & thinkers.

EMPIRICAL DATA:- I used to observe a couple of dogs closely for a period of 40 days near a small grocery store,one of the two approaches people who visits the shop waging its tail appeasably,the customers fed it with biscuits and some stuff available there,but the second one was fearful and non-appeasable ,the two dogs were in the same environment but with have different perceptions and the reason behind it is,the first dog which is approaching the customers received love & pampering from it`s earliest days and that kind of conditioning made it so , it developed that kind of perception,when coming to the second one which is fearful of humans received beats & thrashes from humans developed that kind of perceptional nature and it fears even from a smallest reflex from humans. They remained like that at the time period of my observation,here the second one never got a chance to know that humans are kind too,because the conditioning previously it got from humans shaped it`s perception so that it can never approach a human and it remained like that,it will never know until it too has a good experience with humans,but it will never approach humans because it can`t think ,the aspect(EGO) which is the base to think is not there for it,it lacks dual nature of personality which humans have, animals can only think of their biological needs, they don`t need any second thoughts or improvisation ,there is no good & bad in the world they live,only humans have.

In our case we have the advantage of our dual aspect of our personality,we humans can think,differentiate,we have second thoughts,we think rationally,we know what is good from bad,we make decisions,we improvise ,but most of us don`t make the use of our dual aspect of personality,we keep doing mistakes,we make wrong decisions,because we need pleasure,of course we crave for pleasure and we live for it , but i think when we had a painful (or) threatening experience we withdraw from the situation (or) people and never want us to be in that position again ,but the other part of our personality advises that there are infinite possibilities,this time it might not happen so ,or may happen in a favorable way,that is the most crucial aspect of human personality,that is what keeping us humans,differentiating us from animals,that is the crux of our nature, so i suggest we shall have new experiences,we shall not get lost like that poor dog,we should improvise,we should be open.

I think our past experiences determines our perceptions ,but don`t let them alone define your perceptions...listen to your inner voice.

windows skipped the 9 ,yes! yes! windows jumped to version 10 and officially unveiled the windows 10 on sep30 and started the "INSIDER PROGRAM" on oct1,providing the technical preview of windows 10 to developers and geeks.

They said it fits in all devices and adjusts itself and suits the device by making changes to suit the device by recognizing the device ,they added it will be like a tailor made for all the devices.

Most of the windows 7 features which were not there in 8 are added in this version like start menu & aero....

There are some new features like multiple desktops also...

The final version will be released in or around april 2015.

I`m gonna show you, how to test the working condition of any remote control with the help of a mobile phone`s camera, it`s impossible to test the remote without the help of a device but, doing like this will reveal the working condition of any remote control.

It`s quite simple......

Turn on your mobile phone`s camera and place the remote under it ,the LED of the remote should face the mobile phone`s camera lens..then simply press any key of the remote,if the remote is working,then you should see the illumination(Glow)or(Light) of the LED of the remote control from the mobile phone`s screen as shown in the image...whereas it Can`t be seen with naked eye...so every time you press a key you can see illumination of the remote`s LED.That`s how you`re gonna test it.

Guys i don`t know the logic behind that...so don`t ask !

Sample Jhataka Chakram Having KaalaSarpa Dosham

KaalaSarpa Dosham is considered to be one of the most inauspicious doshams. KaalaSarpa Dosham is formed in a Jhatakha Chakram when all the planets are confined between Rahu and Ketu as depicted in the above sample Jhataka Chakram.There are also so many cases in which a person is afflicted by this dosham in which all planets are not confined between Rahu and Ketu(special cases) so if one is having troubles (or) doubt about this Dosham then consult a renowned astrologer.The Rahu and Ketu are the sarpa grahas and sampoorna kroora grahas therfore they wont allow the good effects and good yogas of the planets to the afflicted person as the 7 planets are confined by Rahu and Ketu,only they will allow the bad effects and bad yogas to the afflicted person.

KaalaSarpa Dosham Types:- Mainly there are two types of KaalaSarpa Doshams

1) Apasavya KaalaSarpa Dosham 2) Savya KaalaSarpa Dosham

2) Savya KaalaSarpa Dosham: This type of dosham is formed when rahu is on upper side and ketu on lower side with 6 planets inside them,for this type of dosham remedies once performed will be enough mostly.

Causes:- This dosham is caused mainly by the Karma(sins) we did in our previous births and also by harming the godly snakes(wittingly (or) unwittingly).This dosham is ancestral(inheritable) ,may be from our parents (or) grandparents,in my observance parents(any one of the parent) having this dosham are giving birth to at least one offspring with this dosham.

Note: Don`t think that you are having this dosham because of you parents (or) grandparents (or) their grandparents,the karma(sins) we did in our previous birth are mainly the cause of this dosham. God attributes us in such a way to be born in such a position to make us suffer for the karma(sins) we did,we alone are the makers of our fortune,no one can escape from karmic effects.

Effects:- The effects of this dosham are INCOMPREHENSIBLE, Only the person suffering from this dosham knows the effects,the effects of this dosham acts after death also(on the rituals performed to the dead body).Below are the effects of KaalaSarpa Dosham.However the dosham becomes weak when the person reach the age of 33

The person experience a very slow growth
The person gets married at a late age
There will be hindrance at work and in other social things
Their talent will have no exposure
Late children (or) no children
Loss of loved ones
Getting Cheated by secret enemies

In addition to the above said ones there are many unfortunate and unimaginable effects which the person suffers from, like having everything needed at hand like wealth,vehicles,assets and authority and he is not capable of enjoying them due to some inevitable problems.

Dosha Parihaaram, Nivrutti(Remedies):- There are many ways to get rid of this Dosham,let us have a look at them(Priority Wise).

Naaga Prathista:- Naaga prathista is the most effective way to get rid of this dosham.The person afflicted by this dosham should perform Naaga Prathista.The ritual includes installing the idol(sila vigraham) of two snakes (as depicted) at Raameswaram temple.The person should spend 3 days to perform all the rituals(not in a hurry way) with concentration after installing the idol the person should perform abhishekam to ramalingeswara swami at rameswaram temple with holy water brought from river ganga and in return travel the person should visit "Nagar Koil" temple and should perform rituals according to the temple doctrine.Then the procedure is said to be completed,and by performing this ritual the person not only gets rid of KaalaSarpa Dosham but also gets good results.He who performs this ritual will also free his Descendants from this Dosham,so it is said as the most effective way.

Sarpa Sooktam and Homam:- Chanting sarpa sooktam for 1008 times and performing homam with with maaredu(Bael tree)wood,fruits and leaves with Ksheerannam(milk pudding)

Rudradyaaya Homam:- Performing this homam by offering cow milk tarpanam 10,000 times to shiva lingam,chanting radradyaayam and performing ritual with maaredu(Bael tree)wood,fruits and leaves with Ksheerannam(milk pudding) along with 57 silver maredu leaves,one gold maredu leaf.Th person who performs this ritual will be blessed with a great son and with good results.

Aghora Paasupatha Homam:- This is a very rare ritual which is not be able to be done by all The person should undergo Mantropaasana.

Maha Paasupatha Homam:- Before performing this ritual the person has to complete Sarpasooktha sahitha Mahanyaasapoorvaka Rudraabhishekam and after the completion one should resolve to perform this ritual with 1116 shiva lingas placed in an order(lingatho badhra mandali).By performing this homam, one will get rid of the KaalaSarpa Dosham and also other many bad effects like obstacles in career,court issues,Disputes between couples,getting married,getting children and for preventing disrepute marriages.

Naagabharanam:- Many people cannot perform the above rituals because of circumstantial problems,for many like them this is the most effective way to get rid of the dosham. The procedure includes of offering naagaabharanam (as depicted) made of gold(or) sliver (or)cooper to shiva lingam in any shiva temple and in a shuba muhurtham.Firstly the person has to perform pooja to ganesha and Sarpasooktha sahitha Mahanyaasapoorvaka Rudraabhishekam with cow milk to shiva linga and offer flowers and fruits to shiva linga and the person has to be fasting on that day.

Rituals To Putta:- The person has to do this rituals for 40 days in a very very careful manner by following strong principles.Every day for 40 days the person has to offer cow milk to putta(pour) after offering pasupu and kumkuma(turmeric and saffron powder),with flowers and with doopam(sambrani).The person should not sleep on bed and only eat one time in a day for these 40 days.

Veerabhadropasana:- This should be performed with good determination and with extreme care with strong discipline,there should be no errors in performing as the person will suffer from strong bad effects if any error occurs,so we cannot be error free at home so we should perform this ritual at Veerabhadra temple only(for procedure contact pandit)

Rahu-Ketu Parihaara Pooja at Sri Kaalahasthi:- This parihaara pooja is one of the prominent ritual now a days.Sri kaalahasthi is a very famous sacred place where one of the Phancha Bhootha lingas is here.The Vaayu lingam is here and the Kaalahastheeswara swamy is the swaoopam of Rahu and Ketu Graha ,so this place is very effective to perform the ritual according to our puraanas. This place gained much importance and available to all people and the ritual is also simple so number of people visiting this place from around the country is very high and increasing.This ritual is available to common people also.

Here swamy worn 27 Nakshatras(Stars) and 9 Grahas(planets) as kavacham(Shield),so Kaalahasthi temple is not closed even during the eclipse times whereas all the other temples are closed during eclipses.So it is recommended to perform the parihaara pooja for every 6 months here and also rudrabhishekam and swamy darshanam is suggested after the pooja. Because of the sacredness(Stala Prasastyam) of this place as mentioned in puraanas it is very effective place to reduce the effects of the KaalaSarpa Dosham and to get good results.

Other Ways To Reduce The Effects Of KaalaSarpa Dosham:-There are many other ways which can reduce the effects of this dosham to some extent,they are....

-> Tirumala Venkateswara Swami is the Living God of kaliyugam,performing kalyanam to tirumala venkateswara swami and performing other available rituals to tirumala venkateswara swami will definitely reduce the bad effects of this dosham to a large extent.

-> Being Vegetarian

-> Wearing Mahapaasupatha Kankanam

-> Wearing Ekamukhi Rudraksha

-> wearing Naaga Sindhooram

-> Bathing in water with which Sarvaraksha choorna is mixed

-> Chanting Asteeka Mahamuni Name

-> Chanting Sri Subrahmanya Bhujanga Stotram at early morning and at sayam sandhya vela(time before sunset) will reduce the bad effects of this dosham to a great extent.Because Subrahmanya swami is the lord of all sarpas in this world,so it is highly recommended to chant this stotram

HOW TO CREATE A PICTURE PASSWORD IN WINDOWS 8

Let`s see how to create and use picture password in windows 8, it`s totally a new feature in windows 8 which earlier versions don`t have.With this new feature we can log-in to PC without the use of a keyboard, may be this feature mainly targets tabs and some touchscreen PCs though it is useful to normal PCs.However it is one convenient way i found to log-in, so far.

Let`s Start....

As depicted below, access the settings

Change PC settings

click on "create a picture password" as depicted below

Then it will ask you for your PC`s password->enter password

Then it will ask you to choose a picture as depicted below

select a picture from your PC

You can adjust the picture if you want to..and click on "use this picture"

This part of the process is crucial. We create the password using Gestures like combination of circles,Straight lines and Taps, and we can use a maximum of three gestures,lets start creating.....

Whatever we draw here it will remember the POSITION,SIZE,DIRECTION & ORDER, so draw them in a Pattern which you can remember(who don`t have a touchscreen,those can use their mouse to draw these gestures).

Note that you can use combination of circles,straight lines & taps (or) you can use any only one of these things as three gestures so make your choice...(That means for example one can use three taps(or) three circles(or)three straight lines(or)a circle & a tap & a straight line...like that.

Below i used two taps and one circle.

1 st Gesture- A Tap

2nd Gesture-A Tap

3rd Gesture- A clockwise circle

Repeat the three gestures to complete the process(or) You cat startover again by clicking the "start again" button on the bottom left side.

After that click on "Finish" button.

There you are...Just test it by locking(windows key+L) and unlocking by gestures.

If you feel it uncomfortable you can switch back to the traditional method of unlocking by entering the password by just clicking on the button "Switch to password" as depicted above.

Solved Error: ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified

Here I am going to discuss about the specific error”ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified” when user tries to connect to the database from 10g FORMS & REPORTS DEVELOPER.The problem can be solved by doing a little work, in a few steps, as illustrated below.

After installing the oracle developer suite 10g, I tried to connect to the local database(10g) previously installed on my pc,but I end with the error”ORA12154:TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified” and can`t connect to the database,it was because when we install the database 10g a net service name “orcl” is automatically created and is used to connect to database through listener,the listener identifies the specific net service name(connect identifier) and establishes theconnection from where it is initialized, but what happen when we try to connect to database through FORMS & REPORTS DEVELOPER SUITE is the listener cannot identify the net service name(connect identifier),because it is being initialized from and by the FORMS & DEVELOPER SUITE ,To solve the problem and to connect to the database there are two ways

1) To Reconfigure the NET SERVICE NAME from the developer suite 10g.

2) To follow the following steps.

STEP 1

Navigate to the path where you installed database 10g >oracle>product>10.2.0(version)>db_1>network>admin

Eg: C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\NETWORK\ADMIN

(Note here C:\ is my installation drive)

There you will find a file named as “tnsnames.ora” copy that file

STEP 2

Navigate to the path where you have installed 10g developer suite>network>admin

Eg: C:\DevSuiteHome_1\NETWORK\ADMIN

and paste the file “tnsnames.ora”

Then try to connect to the database

HYPER-V IS A FEATURE OF WINDOWS SERVER EDITIONS AND NOW IT IS INTRODUCED IN WINDOWS 8

Before you start make sure that your machines supports Hardware Server Virtualization and that it has has been enabled in the BIOS

GO TO ->CONTROL PANEL->PROGRAMS->

Once the Programs and Features dialog opens, select the Turn Windows features on or off link on the left hand side.

When the Windows Features open, check the Hyper-V option. Then click Ok.

Windows will now add the Hyper-V binaries to your Windows installation.

To begin, just press the [Windows] key to bring up the Start Screen. Then, type Hyper and press [Enter] when Hyper-V Manager appears

After you launch the Hyper-V Manager, navigate to the Actions pane and select the New | Virtual Machine command. When the first screen of the New Virtual Machine Wizard appears, just click the Finish button

When you see the new virtual machine appear in the Virtual Machines list, right click the name and rename it to something like XP Virtual Machine, then go back to the Actions pane and click the Settings command

When the Settings window appears, you’ll see that there are a multitude of settings that you can configure to customize how your virtual machine will work. For the purposes of this article, I’ll just cover the basic settings that you need to get started with your Windows XP virtual machine.

Because Windows XP is an old operating system, it isn’t compatible with Hyper-V’s network adapter. As such, the first thing that you will need to do is add a legacy network adapter. Select the Legacy Network Adapter item and click the Add button.

When you do, Hyper V will add the Legacy Network Adapter to the Hardware list and immediately take you to that section. Since I already created a virtual switch for my last article, I’ll select the Test 1 Virtual switch from the virtual switch drop down Then, click Apply to save your changes. If you haven’t already set up a Virtual switch for the Network Adapter, you can do so at any time.

Now, move up the Hardware list and select the Memory section. I’m going to specify 1GB of RAM for my XP Virtual Machine. As you can see , I’ve specified 1024 in the Startup RAM text box and left the Enable Dynamic Memory check box unselected. Even though the text box is titled Startup RAM, in the case of the Windows XP operating system, this will be the total amount of available RAM.

In other words, it will essentially be static memory. Being an older operating system, Windows XP is not supported by Hyper-V’s Dynamic Memory feature, so you’ll need to leave that check box unselected. The Memory Weight slider is designed to allow you to prioritize memory usage but it is related to the Dynamic Memory feature and so in the case of Windows XP we’ll just leave it as it is in the middle.

To continue, go ahead and click Apply to save your settings. Then move down to the IDE Controller 0 | Hard Drive section.

When you arrive at the Hard Drive section, as shown, the only thing that you may want to do is increase the size of the hard disk. By default, the hard disk is set to 127GB in size. For this example machine, I want to increase the size of the hard disk to 500GB. To do so, click Edit button.

Installing Windows XP :

Installing Windows XP in a Hyper-V virtual machine is easy. To begin, insert the Windows XP CD in the drive, go back to the Actions pane in the Hyper-V Manager, scroll down to the virtual machine section and click the Connect command. When you do, you’ll see a virtual machine window that tells you that the machine is turned off. At this point, just click the Start button on the menu bar, as shown

You’ll then see the installation begin the Windows XP Setup screen.

Seeing the basic looking Windows XP Setup screen in Windows 8 is quite a stark picture.

Once the installation is complete, you’ll see the Windows XP desktop in a virtual machine in Windows 8, as shown

Error connecting to database after installing on Windows 64-Bit OS

Problem Description

Any of the following errors can occur when attempting to connect to an Oracle database when installed on a Windows 64-Bit OS:

"ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified."

"ORA-06413: Connection not opened"

"Can't initialize OCI. Error -1"

Cause

This could be caused by an Oracle 10g client defect on Windows 64-bit. Oracle 11g is not affected. According to Oracle Metalink, Doc ID 334528, there is a network issue for any application that is installed into a path with a parenthesis using the 10g client on Windows 64-bit.

For example, C:\Program Files(x86)\Quest Software\

Resolution

RESOLUTION 1:

If you are running Oracle 10g please install your Quest application into 'C:\Quest Software' and not 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software.'

Note: If you are trying to install Toad into 'C:\Program Files\Quest Software', Windows will detect it as a 32-bit Program and install it back to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software'

RESOLUTION 2:

If you want to keep your install into C:\Program Files (x86)\ Quest Software, then upgrade your client to Oracle 11g 32-bit as the issue is resolved there.

Note: Toad 10.1 to Toad 11.0.1 does support Windows 64-bit but the Oracle client still must be 32-bit.

Right click on the Toad shortcut -> Go to -> Compatibility Mode -> check the box -> Run this program in compatibility mode for "Windows XP(Service Pack 3) & check the box -> Run this program as administrator.

How To Install DOT NET FRAMEWORK 3.5(including 3.0 & 2.0) from Windows 8 installation Disc or Image

Insert Windows 8 DVD in DVD drive and open command prompt with admin privileges (Means holding the ctrl key when opening CMD or right click on cmd ->run as administrator) and type the following command.

Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:x:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess

Another method:

If you open CMD.EXE with Administrative Privileges i.e. at elevated level & run the this DISM command dism /online /get-features you will see that from the State that .NET Framework is not part of the Operating System.

So the first thing you need to do is to copy the required package to local machine before you run the command to install .NET Framework. To do that use Windows 8 ISO/DVD/USB Media. You need to copy SXS folder to local machine located at D:\sources\sxs (In this case D: your drive letter on which you have loaded Windows 8 Media)

You can also use the following command to copy this folder locally. xcopy d:\sxs\*.* c:\sxs /s

Once completed, in order to install this feature you can run the following command dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /SourceC:\sxs /LimitAccess and hit Enter

After completing the installation of .NET Framework 3.5 you can see that the feature is enabled in the Control Panel –> Program and Features

Bingo. Now you can enable .NET Framework feature on Windows 8 without needing of an internet connection.

Launch another application/Search box pop-up

In order to launch another application, simply hit the “Windows key” and begin typing the name of the app you want to launch. The same search window can be viewed by pressing Win+F with any presses, and taps on any one of them to run it.

Otherwise, continue to press the “Windows key” and at the same time hit R to launch the old Run box, and enter anything you want and open it easily!

Shutdown metro apps

Metro applications don’t boast a “Close” key, and this is premeditated: applications are eliminated when you toggle to something else, and are involuntarily eliminated nevertheless if you want the resources.

To keep your system fresh however, you can always shut them yourself. Push down “Ctrl+Alt+Esc” to open the Task Manager, right-click the extra application and choose “End Task”.

Run as Administrator

A number of programs require you to run them with Administrator privileges in order to function well. Right-click one of your pinned applications, tap on Advanced, and if it’s correct for this application, “Run as Administrator” option will appear.

Restore Hibernate/Sleep options

Options for Hibernate/Sleep won’t show in the Windows 8 shutdown dialogs by default, still you can restore them.

In order to do so, launch the Power Options applet (powercfg.cpl) and tap on “Choose what the power buttons do” in the left-hand board.

If you a “Change settings that are current unavailable” link appears, tap on it, tick mark the Sleep and Hibernate options, then hit Save Changes, and the new options should now display in your shutdown dialogs.

The Metro interface in Windows 8 is mainly intended for touch-screens, but it does also support majority of the previous Windows key shortcuts, many of which are at this instant more handy than ever.

Log-in automatically

Simply continue to press the Windows key, hit R, type netplwiz and hit Enter to open the User Accounts dialog. Then un-check the “Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer” box and hit OK.

Now insert the user name and password of the account that you’d prefer to be logged in involuntarily, then tap on OK, reboot your system for changes to take effect, and you won’t be asked for your login particulars again!

Shutdown shortcuts in Windows 8

Open the desktop application, right-click on a blank space of the desktop and tap on New > Shortcut.

Command: Function
shutdown.exe -s -t 00: shuts down your system
shutdown.exe -h -t 00: puts into hibernate mode, and click Next.

Next type in a shortcut name for e.g. Hibernate, and hit Finish.

Now right-click the shortcut and choose Pin to Taskbar, or copy the shortcut to the C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder.

Now continue to press the Windows key and push F to open Search. Next type the name of the shortcut, tap on Applications under the search box, and it must show on the left side.

Lastly, right-click the application, choose Pin and it must show on the far right of the Metro screen, simply pull it wherever you want!

Bring back the traditional Start menu

Open REGEDIT and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer.

Double-click RPEnabled, and modify it from 1 to 0 to confiscate Metro, the new Task Manager, Start menu and other.

On the other hand, set RPEnabled to 2 so as to eliminate Metro, bring back the Start menu.

Install Windows 8 using a USB flash drive

Enlarge the Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer section of the hierarchy.

Double-click “Start Windows Explorer with the Ribbon minimized”, arrange the value to Enabled and tap on OK.

From now on the ribbon won’t be displayed by default. If you want to see it again, then tap on the Down arrow to the left of the Help icon, and it will appear!

Display the Folder Options in Windows 8

The Folder Options has moved once more, therefore the Tools menu won’t appear any longer, but if you tap File > Change Folder and Search Options then the traditional dialog will show.
