That is the title of chapter three of Radical. I knew going into this chapter that it was not going to be a "feel good" chapter. Then I read these. "God puts his people in positions where they are desperate for his power, and then he shows his provision in ways that display his greatness." Radical, p.48 Joshua 6 It hurts so good.

Over the Christmas break, my MIL kept mentioning how much she wanted to watch the movie Buck.
She Kept asking me to watch it with her.

I assumed that she was talking about this movie. (which I saw a lot because it was on of my ex-boyfriend's favorites)

I thought this was Very Random of my MIL.

On our second to last night, when she asked if anyone wanted to watch this movie for the fourth time.
I finally confessed that I was surprised at how much she wanted to watch it.
That's when I found out she was actually talking about THIS movie.

Which, unfortunately, I also did not watch with her.

But I did watch it last night with Will. And I LOVED it. And I am going to buy it and show it to my ladies at the prison. It is amazing. It made me want to ride a horse, tell Buck about Jesus, and foster 23 boys - all at the same time. That's a lot from just one movie. I would encourage you to watch it.

I have loved painting my nails recently. They last about 14 hours before they are chipped. but i find it relaxing just to do it. kind of like coloring - staying inside the lines!

We recently found out that we were Not chosen by the Birth Mother due in December. That has been hard for me.

My ladies at the Prison (inmates), however, know that we are "in the process of adopting..."

I received THIS from them, after our Christmas party...

I love my job.
And despite spending another Christmas and New Year's with just the two of us, I am still feeling Very blessed this season.

I am in a really cool bible study based on the Dan Allender book - To Be Told

(The link is not our actual study - but it's pretty close to the one we are doing. (Minus the Slide that suggests "bedazzling" - what?!) anyway, i found the link after we were halfway through with the study. We have been writing and sharing stories of Shalom, Shalom Shattered and Shalom Sought.

I love Mimi. I don't care how batshit crazy she has seemed at times, the girl can SING. Me and Mariah go back like babys and pacifiers :) she is the soundtrack of my high school days. J-Lo carried me into college. Until I met Guster and broke up with Divas for cool bands like Guster and the RENT soundtrack... I digress.

The point is - I love mariah. And this video. Thus, I thought if fitting to use them for the Genius Moment that I wanted to share.
