On July 28th in a glittering function Infinix Mobility officially launched Hot S and Noise Cancelling Headphones in Pakistan. Attended by digital celebrities, media personnel, socialites and various other renowned personalities, the grand event took place at Marroitt Hotel, Karachi.

Mr. Andy Van, Vice-President Infinix Mobility unveiled and presented the two new products, the new Hot S and the Noise Cancelling Headphones, to the audience. Hosted by the spectacular Anoushay Ashraf, the event was an engaging and successful launch venture.

The Hot S has 8 MP front shoot camera, with 120 degree wide angle capture capabilities along with low-light lighting. This mobile set has the fingerprint scanner for privacy protection, first for Infinix Mobility. Hot S has a perfect metallic body, sought after by most consumers the world over.

Infinix Mobile also introduced its new Android User Interface called XOS. Just like its predecessor (XUI) it offers power efficiency and at the same time buttery smooth user experience. XOS comes with some sleek features such as Magic Movie. It also has the privacy feature named Xhide; helps hide contacts, messages, apps, etc. Moreover, content sharing becomes easier with new feature of XOS called XShare; this requires no connection or network!

Next, we were treated with the launch of Noise Cancelling Headphones (XE02). After various rumors for more than a month, we finally saw the products and instantly many tech-geeks present fell in love with the product. The earphones are sleek, metallic, and modernly designed. The earphones promises to block out the surrounding sounds with its noise-cancelling feature and help the user focus just on the music that we want to listen to.

The earphones have 110 dB SNR high definition audio and distinct gradation restores music like it is meant to be heard. Uncompromised music interpretation has led to the purity of XE02 Hi-Fi sound.

The Hot S is available for PKR 16,899 whilst the XE02 earphones cost only PKR3,000. The Hot S is available in five different colors.

The event flow followed various interactive sessions and quizzes which saw the winners win the XE02 earphones. Interactive phone stands made it possible for us to be able to try the phone and listen to music on the earphones too. Selfie sessions among-st the attendees and with celebrities continued followed by Hi-Tea and goodybags for the media.

Doritos Pizza, Pizza Hut - Campaign Poster

This year Pizza Hut, one of my all time favorite Pizza places on Earth brought in a new Pizza type. Being the foodie I am, I desperately wanted to get on with trying the Doritos Pizza, as it were called. The marketing and digital campaign on this was manic and I was flooded in with the ads adding to my curiosity all over my social media. One fine day, I was reached out to and invited to the launch of the all-new Doritos Pizza. Sadly, despite all efforts I wasn't able to make it. Why the whole story might you ask? Well, the event pictures, the reviews, the social media exchanges on how good everything was had me drooling and salivating.

Thus when their campaign marketing officer reached out to me for personal crunch party experience I immediately said yes! Pizza at home in my pj's, was not going to give up on that. Long story, short, only a few hours later the big box had arrived. It was not without glitches though. I was made to wait extra long due to technical issues - being that the oven at the hut was not really working, how does that even happen? Anyways, I had my food, all was good.

I gathered my family around to share in the meal with me. The first thing off we all noticed was how weird the shape of the Pizza was. You know how they say, you eat through your eyes first? Suffice to say, we did not really like what we saw. The dough seemed stale for some reason or when you have Pizza in your fridge for two days. It seemed nothing like what was advertised. But hey, it's Pizza, how bad can it be, right? So we took to our plates one slice each. Skeptical of the taste of Dorritos which were half burnt on the sides by the way, I took them off my slice. Let me enjoy the Chikken Fajita as it is.

Let us talk about the taste, hmph *deep sigh*. You know where this is going. I am not really someone to talk bad about a product but being a Pizza Hut loyalist for over the years I was extremely disappointed. There was no taste to begin with so I can not really say much. It was bland in an understatement. The dough as I mentioned felt like 'baasi thandi naan' that none of us could chew. Cheese was minimum in amount. To really put it in simple words, it really was a bad quality Pizza with less toppings on the sides where they stuck the Doritos chips and nothing else. Thinking about it leaves a bland doughy taste in my mouth. My family is never getting excited with my "I-am-treating-you-guys-today" again.

Pizza Hut has been lately churning out new variants and has been spending heavily on their campaigns (Cheesy Party after this), where as that is always a delight but in all honesty would serve them better if they moved their focus to the product itself. Sadly, after this trial I shifted from Pizza Hut loyalist to looking for other great Pizza joints around town.

BEAUTY | Review: The Body Shop Wild Rose Hand Cream

The Body Shop Wild Rose Hand Cream

Today I am discussing this marvel of a product that I 'gift-ly' discovered. A while ago whilst my mum's aunt was visiting us from Canada she brought was a few presents. And in the glorious few items was this gem. The Body Shop Wild Rose Hand Cream. We all generally tend to ignore our hands and given they do all the work, get washed every now and then, they tend to loose natural oils and moisture.

The packaging is a beautiful silver metallic aluminium and red with squeezable tube. As soon as I opened it, the one thing I noticed was the strong smell of roses. You only need a pea-sized amount of product or even less for a one time use. The strong rose fragrance stays on a quite a long while and for some who might be sensitive and/or if you are not particularly a fan of this kind of fragrance you would not like it.

The Wild Rose Hand Cream on the other hand itself is creamy, obviously, blends and sinks in the skin very gently. It stays on for hours which is one of the best things. But to top that I saw an exponential difference after using this for quite some time. To give you some background, I studied in a open area university with extreme sunlight burnt tanning us, and this really helped in toning and cutting that down. Also, I noticed how this firmed my hands a bit and loved that. The fragrance seemed to become more subtle and one I became a fan of too.

All in all, if you are looking for hand creams I would definitely suggest you check The Body Shop out and give this a sniff or even a cheeky tester try. One thing that tells you like no other if us bloggers are really in love with a product and genuinely vouch for it is if we buy it again and yes as soon as I am done with this, I am heading to The Body Shop!

BEAUTY | Review: Pond's White Beauty BB+

Remember the time when Asian phenomena BB Creams had just become the rage in the beauty industry and every company jumped on the bandwagon and introduced their own versions? Well, today I review one of those because a) They replaced foundation b) Summer heat is upon us c) I love it! Pond's is a brand more known for its skincare range in this part of the world, so one naturally doesn't think of them when it comes to makeup or foundations.

Pond's White Beauty range was one of the companies who released their take on the BB creams, called the White Beauty BB+. Being only one of few locally available ones, this definitely still is my preferred option out of the whole lot. This particular tube was a gift to me.

Of a total 18 grams of product in a single tube, I find it to be extremely economical on the pocket and given you only need the tiniest amount the tube itself lasted me more than a year! It is a All-in-One BB cream with SPF 30+ and GenWhite cover formula.

The product applies really well and blends in seamlessly. For my ever changing skin type, I found it worked extremely well with a little bit of powder on oily skin days it held on to my complete 8 hour work days. the BB cream is extremely light-weight on the skin, the way one is supposed to feel and the color matches me well too. This may be tricky for some as these do not come in a variety of shades on the spectrum.

I prefer BB creams over foundations for the sole reason of them being an easy product. Whereas, this does not necessarily cover all the skin problems or correct huge under eye-circles, it works for the day. Not a miracle product which one might think to be a holy grail for skin but for what its worth and does, I say in this absolute heat which is about to hit us, Pond's White Beauty BB+ is the product I will be reaching for. Now, I need to go shopping to stock on it.

This is such a delight for me to write this post down and I am grinning widely. Monthly subscription boxes are not a new thing at all and have been a rage for past couple of years in especially the beauty world. But here in this part of the world, such services have not been introduced. So, to my absolute excitement when I came across this new service launching, to say I was over the moon would be an understatement. But this is not your average beauty box BUT this subscription box is for the geeks. Yes! Finally, the book-heaven is raining down on us.

OwlPost is a monthly subscription box service for all the book lovers and geeks that recently launched with delivering its first box in March 2016. They carefully select only newly released highly-anticipated great Young-Adult reads which minimizes the chances of subscribers already having those books. Very much like OwlCrate, OwlPost is more of a local version. They deliver the boxes by 15th of every month and do offer Cash on Delivery.

BEAUTY | Du'Vi Stockholm SkinCare Launch in Pakistan

Du'Vi Stockholm is a natural and organic skincare brand that has recently launched itself in Pakistan. Skincare brands are more or less of a scarce here in Pakistan and thus Du'Vi Stockholm's coming is more of a sweet welcome. It is originally a Swedish brand with its products manufactured in France and is about 100% natural and organic.

Du'Vi's products are Paraben and Phenoxythanol free which can be carcinogenic and toxic for our skin. They cater to all skin-types and have the percentage of organic and natural ingredients used clearly stated on the face of the products themselves.

Faryal from the Du'Vi Stockholm Pakistan team contact me about a month ago if I would like to try their products out which I was thrilled about. She kindly sent me two of her full sized product out of the seven product ranged launched here in Pakistan. I have been trying out the Green Tea Face Wash with Aloe Extract* and the Bamboo Scrub with Bamboo Exfoliating Powder* for about three weeks now.

In all honesty, my skin has improved overall and looks less dull than before. Skincare takes time to show results on the skin but you definitely feel just as you wash the face after using these products of a gradual improvement.

The Green Tea Face Wash with Aloe Extract is a gentle foaming was which has olive vegetable extracts and is 99% natural and organic.. It has a running yellow-y consistency and moisturizes the skin after the wash a bit too. However, if you are someone who like a lot of lather, this may not be your cup of tea. The product does not have soap so this is natural. It is something all ages can use on an everyday basis. The product holds 150ml for PKR 1,150.

The Bamboo Scrub with Bamboo Exfoliating Powder has to be my winner in the extreme mild scrub particles. Again, this does not lather so if you like to work a product in for a long time, you may not like it. For daily use, this product is extremely gentle. The scrub is about 87% natural and organic and caters to mixed to oily skin. Though, my skin is mixed these days it has been more towards the dry side, I still did not feel any peeling of my skin after using it. Using the bamboo removes the dead skin and would show better results if used daily, in my opinion. This scrub costs PKR 1,300 for 150 ml.

They were kind enough to include a face towelette which for some reason I had the biggest grin seeing in my PR bag**. Such a sucker! I would love to try other products in the range too as they sound really exciting in the booklet. Iceberg Deep Cleansing Milk, Forever Young Night Cream and Forever Young Face Scrub? Yes, please!

Haul: Real Techniques, Olay, First-Aid Beauty

This has to be the most exciting of my beauty hauls yet! I have tried to limit using this word throughout the post to limit down the agony I may incur by letting you know just how excited... I have finally entered the spare no limits, but it' category. I feel like I was seriously lacking in the traditional blogger department by not getting on the bandwagon with some of these products. So, I bit the nail on this front.

I ordered these three products after much thought through a Facebook page by the name of Zensky (I plan on doing a full service and procedure review soon!). Without much further ado, here is the beauty product haul, listed:

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Real Technique's Expert's Face Brush ($9.00):
We have all lived the hype around these beauties created by the very famous Sam and Nic Chapman. I have been putting these in-cart and out for a long time but finally bought them. I was looking for a good over-all brush but mostly for foundation. Nothing too expensive but nothing too cheap that would not hold true to the test of time and water! I have yet to try it but oh my! The brush is super soft and just brushing it on my bare face without any foundation made it feel so good. Really excited.

Olay Pro X Anti-Aging

Olay Pro X ($29.99):
This is the one product I have skeptical about for quite some time. I have never tried any sort of machines on my face before and did not want to bite the bullet buying a Clarisonic just yet. Olay Pro X is said to do almost the same things and give similar results too with just a faction of a price and thus this landed on my doorstep the other day. I am really hoping this does not break me out. Do say a prayer!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (1.0 oz - $6.50):
Lastly, I ordered the Ultra Repair Cream for my ever drying skin condition. It is under-moisturized to say the least and I really do not look that great with dry-patches all over. This was a no-brainer, really.

Individual reviews on all three to go up as soon as I put them to good test.

Sleek Makeup Blush in Flamingo is a highly enriched and vibrant pink shade from an exceptionally well known brand for any make-up lover which, in my opinion, needs no introduction. This review has been a long time coming and I just saw this in my long stash of drafts and decided to resurrect it from the dead. So, without further ado, here we go:

Flamingo, as the name suggests, is a bright pink colored blush with high pigmentation and thus only requires the tiniest amount of product on the brush. Blushes, in my opinion, should always be built from less to more to the amount you would want. I absolutely love the staying power and definitely each out for this product for when I want a subtle yet highly visible blush look. Given that I am not much of a dark eye person this goes extremely well paired with natural eyes. Even though at first glance the color seems a bit intimidating, it really is blendable so that I don't end up looking like a circus clown.

The thing about Sleek Makeup that I enjoy the most is the packaging. Seems high-end, is really sturdy and matte black which is all win but to sweeten the whole thing is the big bad mirror attached to the product, so travel friendly. It is safe to say I always keep it in my bag. With that, what's not to love?

I hope reading this you'll get going to your beauty stash, take this cult product of yesteryear out and enjoy it again. Sounds like I am advertising, haha, but I just really like it.

One fine day, a parcel reached my doorstep. You know those when you wake up and you have a mail waiting for you and you do that little dance of joy? I am sure you all have experienced that sheer excitement. What did it contain? Capri's latest Aloe-Nurture moisturizing soaps!

This all natural soap ensures that no chemicals go onto your skin and only organic ingredients are in play. This moisturizing bar has honey and milk protein in it which helps make you skin silky smooth. I have to say, it really does feel like silky smooth due to the milk proteins in it as it claims, so 10 points for that! Also, what I love about this soap is the smell of it. Before I actually started using it, it was sitting under my desk for a while (after I had pictured it, so one was open), my room smelled amazing. Every time I sat on my laptop or for studying, it refreshed me with the smell of honey in it.

We constantly are using many chemical products on ourselves, quite a few times daily on our skin, so it is a welcome to add something natural in the routine. Capri is focusing with this new launch on the natural beauty factor and really who wouldn't like to be just that? Though personally I do not use soap on my face, so I did not venture into that but did use it on my hands and body to see how it performs. But I think it is worth trying out for those of you who do so.

The package was just too beautifully wrapped (see pictures on my Instagram) and also included apart from two soap bar a beautiful soap box, a pack of 10 tealight candles and a SweetTouch nail polish in Yellow.

This product is available in the market at PKR 42.00 plus GST with a net weight of 115g. Here is to confidence of our natural beauty!

Winners PAS Awards '15

5th PAS Awards 2015

For those of you who do not know what PAS Awards are they are an award centered around advertising and marketing best from the country. As the acronym suggests in itself, Pakistan Advertisers Society came up with this platform and highlighting the innovate work done by companies or media agencies alike.

Now if you are wondering is why am I sharing this with you, it is because it's these advertisers that create these spectacular advertisements that instill the desire in our ever so searching souls to buy the best products on offer. Recently, the 5th PAS Awards were held in Karachi as an ode to these very brilliant minds.

This year, apart from the regular 21 regular categories, Pakistan Advertisers’ Society introduced 5 special categories namely Passion for Pakistan, Best in Digital, Media Innovation, Best BTL Activation and Best Platform Award that will honor the most innovative marketing ideas.

The master of the ceremony for the award ceremony was actor and radio presenter Khalid Malik, while the show featured entertaining performances by Fusion, Rachael Viccaji, Zia Mohyuddin, Bushra Ansari, Jawad Ahmed and Sara Raza. Needless to say, the award night was quite a star studded affair. A total of 68 brands and agencies from all over Pakistan were shortlisted by the jury prior and were in the running to win the PAS Awards 2015.

An Overview.

The contents of one's bag have always been something I am curious about (nosy little girl!) For me these contents in anyone's bag give the most appropriate picture as to what the person really loves and uses on a daily basis. It tells you all you'll ever need to know about anyone. So today, I decided to share the contents of my own bag. (Judge away!)

As I am a university student, a lot of things you see are student-life related but that just gives you how I organize my bag for all-purposes an answer too. Great, no? The most important thing missing in these pictures above, though, are my registers and lectures. I keep a separate folder for that purpose and so do not really carry it bag. Anyways, let's dive in, shall we?

The first thing that you'll notice is my rather huge wallet. I like to keep extra cash around with me for emergency situations and always end up feeling and the purpose of it is well really everyone knows. Mine is filled with cards of my university and other important cash-ins. USBs are kind of a must and I like to carry around two of those with me at all times. You just never know how may it be of use and has saved my life at more than few instances.

What girl doesn't love good stationary? I know I do! Mickey Mouse pencils and tools box? Yes please. Also, I love that tiny lil lion pencil-top. Given, I am a business student, a scientific calculator is a must thing and one obviously needs notebooks. I use this to jot down any blog ideas or clever lingo that I might come up with or if I have to pen down any important details. My bag has to got to have a spare notebook. It's a perk if there Audrey or Marilyn looking at you like a god-mother.

I am someone who loves to over-pack things, if you haven't realized by now. There is this dire need of all the ifs that need be covered. I always keep charging cords for my Samsung Galaxy phone(s), did I mention my phone(s)? They are kiiind of any bag essential item and also a PowerBank - more on this in a separate post when I try my hand at tech blogging, kinda. It is so handy and has saved my unworthy behind more times than I can count.

Lastly, phew, my bag contains few, ahem, things on the beauty and personal care front. I need to have a deodorant with me be it of any kind. The heat is just unbearable and it simply stinks at times. Body sprays are just too important to be spared from a bag's contents. Talking of the heat, I keep gloves in my bag too, just as a handy to keep my hands safe of the ever so generous sun that has tanned my skin color 3 shades easy. Hair ties, before I forget and they go MIA on me for not mentioning them, you know they can and do all the time. #GirlProblems

Okay, I lied. The real last item in my 'things in my bag' list is a beauty bag. But I am not going into details of this one at the moment and will have a detailed separate post to indulge your juices in. *Takes a deep long breath*

Beauty Party Haul.

It has been so long that I posted or even did some haul, so I thought it was time to take a bite and loose a bit of cash from my wallet and so I did. I had a welcome event for Freshies at my university coming up and needed to buy a few items for the party. I designed a full black gown and paired it with some pops of red in my makeup. So, here is a bit of red in my haul. Here is the breakdown:

Glamorous Face USA Perfect Natural Face Powder:

The face powder was the main reason of my trip as my previous one had hit pan and even it's tiny crumbs were near to none. I have used TV stick from this brand before and so knew it was good enough to be a good bet. The powder itself feels like silk when I run my finger through it. It has SPF 35 which is such a requirement for me in these hot summery days. I chose the shade 04 to provide me with good coverage and has UV oil free foundation. Available at any local beauty supply shops.

Chanel in #12:

I strutted off to another shop in a local mall that I often visit thanks to the variety they constantly try to hit my up with. In particular, I went there to look for a good nail shade of red that I wanted. Though I didn't exactly find that, I was very generously shown and was made to buy this piece. And boy did I fell in love! This, however, doesn't retail here in Pakistan and was exclusive in that shop for a very limited time and amount. So, for availability, you will have to resort to traditional ways of ordering through FB pages etc.

Botanics Long-Lasting Lip Gloss in 23:

I wasn't so keen on buying this. It felt cheap and a product that I wouldn't reach into quite a lot. But, make no mistake, this simple-looking product blew me away! The long-lasting bit is no joke nor is the color payoff. Amazing! It is more like the very famous Rimmel's Appocalips (remember those?). I put this underneath the Chanel gloss in the party and where the gloss had to be re-applied a few time during the whole day, this thing did not bulge, at all. I am soon to rave about this product. Keep your eyes peeled.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch:

Remember Baby Lips? Remember the craze? Well, here I am enlisting my name among those. BabyLips are moisturising lip balms with a hint of colour and are available in various colors, loved by too many. This was only PKR 350 and are available everywhere. Or at just4girls if you want to buy online.

Silly 18 Nail Polish in 67:

Shopping for a perfect red is such a hard job. I wanted a specific red. The one which had blue undertones and would compliment my skin. I had already shopped the perfect red lip color, and wanted both shades to match. There were dark reds, yellow reds, shimmer hot pinks being called reds but the blue-toned-cool-red would be missing. I finally settled on the nearest shade after smearing my hand full of blood, well seemed like it. This picture doesn't do the colour justice, I'd say. I love it.

HSY the couture king of Pakistan, recently launched his Lawn collection in collaboration with Ittehad textiles in various cities all over the nation. After Lahore and Faisalabad, he came down to Karachi to showcase his collection. Media personalities, along with us bloggers, were invited to Sanaullah - The Big Store at Main Tariq Road on March 7th, 2015.

The much anticipated lawn collection has 15 distinct designs with 2 color variants each catering to various tastes. The desings manifested are classic and elegant which resonates with the HSY brand. The Spring/Summer 2015 lawn collection is bsed in a diversity of fabrics including lawn, chiffon and jacquard featuring hues of indigos, blues, greens, orches and fresh pinks.

Fashion designer Hassan Shehreyar Yasin and Chairman Ittehad, Sheikh Nazim Shahzad, both spoke to the attendees at the event. Models donned on some prints for a fashion presentation. The collection showcases brand's signature ethos of luxury living and timeless elegance. It is designed keeping women from all walks of life in mind.

A while aback I was contacted by the FoodPanda team to see if I was interested in experiencing the modern way of food delivery. Being a big food lover how could I have ever said no? For those of you who do not know what FoodPanda is all about, it is a one-stop marketplace for all your food cravings. FoodPanda is where you can find a rather huge list of restaurants near or afar which will deliver at your doorstep. It is an online portal made of good food dreams. FoodPanda is affiliated with hundreds of restaurants and is available in around 40 countries worldwide.

The process of ordering food with FoodPanda, I found is extremely easy but comprehensive which makes me believe that the money spent isn't a waste. All that was required was the city and area that you live in and hit search. The data-log enlists all the eateries which will deliver you food.

As soon as I was done choosing what food I was craving (my area got me a whopping 54 places to choose from talk about food choices), I opened the restaurant tab to place my order. What I found great was how with each restaurant the delivery time and minimum amount to order was mentioned so that there was no hassle later. I chose to order pizza from 14th Street Pizza Co. and could have waited 50 min for it to arrive. The ordering process went extremely smoothly. I loved how when I added pizza to my cart it opened a new window where I could customize it just the way I wanted and it wasn't only one-for-all thing.

You will have to create your account on the site though and let me tell how how important this is. All the verification will be extremely easy and you will receive an e-mail as soon as you place and verify your order. As soon as I placed my order I was sent a code on my cellphone to enter so that the order could be processed. This is an extremely important step due to the availability of paying online. IF the verification code does not go through, your order will not be placed and FoodPanda sends and e-mail right away. FoodPanda also gives the option of Cash-on-Delivery, though.

In the e-mail came the full receipt along with all order details and order-time and in reality came my order. Hot and freshly made. I was in heaven. Thanks to the sheer size of the pizza itself I asked my family to join in on the experience with me and also so any of my pizza-biasness could be dealt with. Needless to say everyone loved it.

There was, however, a tiny glitch in the system which made my order processed late and took more than two solid hours to it to reach me. The customer-care guy was extremely sweet and told me he'll personally see to it that my order gets delivered to me as soon as possible and he did. Around 20 minutes after I had my order with me. Was I exasperated at this? Oh God, yes! But will I buckle-up the courage at my ever-growing temptation to order again? Yes. The options and knowledge of an internet-safe way of ordering food to my doorstep deserves me ignoring the glitch.

Empties 02 Products

Writing empties post has to be one of the greatest thing a blogger does. Especially beauty bloggers. To use up every last drop of the product tends to happen sometimes as we generally tend to stock up or move to the next. So hitting pans and emptying bottles are accomplishments.

These past dull, hectic, non-make-upy months meant less product usage. And more shopping meant shopping around different products more. So, these empties are only a few. But oh well. Empties 02 includes:

Dove Go-Fresh Cool Essentials Cucumber and Green-Tea Scent:
A very well used product obviously has to be a deodorant. And so it is. As the names says this one is a 'cooling' kind of a deodorant. The green-tea and cucumber makes fresh and energizing to an extent. I absolutely loved the smell. This one is antiperspirant and according to the company has the staying power of up-to 48-hours, which honestly never tested. (Can't live without for a day!) Will I buy this again? Heck yes.

Sunsilk Co-Creations Stunning Black Shine Shampoo by Jamal Hammadi:
Sunsilk products work great for my hair. And for my already silky strands, this black shine was just an added compliment. The Amla-Pearl Complex formula used makes hair so soft and shiny that will make you drool, no kidding. Though these days I need something for damaged and 'I-don't-really-know-what-happened-to-my-hair' but on a later date this one is definitely making on the bill.

Saeed Ghani's Nature Sandal Face-Pack:
Well the detail review of this products has been sitting in my drafts for months now. I have no idea why I never got around to publishing it. This is a 'blob' of Sandal (like a paste in hard disk form) and you use it with rose-water. It acts like a sunblock, removes premature wrinkles and aging lines, gives you fair complexion and ohmyGod what not. BUYING THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN.

B.O.B Mascara Waterproof Formula:
I guess this is the first mascara I bought from my own money. I have honestly never heard of this brand, never from other and never different products. One fine day this one local shop-keeper recommended it to me and I bought it. It had all the right words, waterproof, long-lasting, easy-to-do, curling. What else does a girl need? I have to mention though, that it did clump my lashes which was a bummer. Also, for an impatient like me it dried a little too late. But I still use this. YES I KNOW IT"S EMPTY. I use an empty mascara! Will I buy this again? I want to try others out.

Karaja Lipstick Matte Shade 61:
I have already raved about this lipstick and mentioned it in few posts earlier. So I am not gonna start again. Its been loved. Definitely hunting it down.

What's On My Face: The Summer Edit

Hello everyone! Today's post is an inspired one. If you have been following me for quite some time you will know how much I am fond of Lily Pebbles. I am sure you know and have heard of her but for some reason if you have been living under the rocks then let me tell you she is one of my absolute favorite bloggers and also has a You Tube channel of her own, check her blog here.

Coming to the point, Lily use to do these 'What's On My Face' posts where she shared what makeup she was wearing for the day. I loved to read them (I miss those so terribly much!) and thought why don't I share what products have I been slapping.

I realize that in the western part of the world the sweater weather has already begun, but for us here below the equator it's still summer churning verrrry slowly like a caterpillar.

So here is the whole edit for all these months by. It's not something that I wore for a day only or either is it something I wear each day. Some days I change a few things here and there, add or subtract a few or just do not wear makeup at all. Down below is the categorical closer look of the products used:

A few days back I was contacted by Atiqua from Platinum.pk asking if I was interested in reviewing the website, honestly of-course, for them and the experience in shopping with them. As online shopping is still in it's early stages here in the country I was very excited at the opportunity and immediately jumped at the given chance.
It also reminded me of the website review I did back when I first started blogging and how it was shown love to and so decided on a new section called Web&App for the blog where I will review websites and applications for you fancies. (Hope you enjoy)
I was very kindly offered a voucher to have a shopping experience on the website and they were quick to provide me with one. Visiting their website I was immediately surprised to see all the renowned brands stocked which are not easily available in the country. Next was the price tags. The bags weren't too expensive and given the international brands that they are I was more than satisfied at the range that was on offer.

The one thing I did not know beforehand was that Platinum is only a Bags and Wallet store. But given the obsessive maniac I am it was only heaven for me. Although the site has a variety of brand names, there weren't much bags in themselves to choose from. I was the stocks were huge. But to tell you the truth even then I spend a good two or more hours on the website drooling over each and every beauty.

Coming on to the technical parts of the web design and user interface, I do think it needs quite a bit of work. Finding things was a bit difficult for me. I'd like to see more user-friendly features introduced. Also, a sign that says that all products are in-fact original. This is one of the biggest fears for anyone shopping international products online.
As for the services provided, I placed my order at 21:15 which is quite late in the day I reckon yet they were quick to confirm my order and I received corresponding email within 10 minutes! My order was at my doorsteps the very next day which was amazing to see. Damage-free and neatly packaged box made my entire valentine!

All in all I was quite delighted at the experience I had with platinum.pk and also grateful at the opportunity. I have discovered one stop shop for bag shopping. Here is to hoping for more products. The service is amazing and Atiqua has been great and easy providing any assistance required.

New Year 2014 Beauty Resolutions

Happy New Year everyone! It has surely been way too long since I wrote anything here. I wouldn't even get into the reasoning but I do apologize. I am not generally someone who makes resolutions or stick to however little they may be (mostly I make one up when asked, eh). But this year I have a few things that I want to get a hang of. Some of them are beauty related of course, so here goes:

Have a routine: I am someone who has never really gotten around to a routine. I do things for a few days before procrastination would kick in. I really want to develop a good skincare routine especially which brings us to...
Try a range of skincare products: This is a neglected area of my being. I don't do much when it comes to try a range of products which will help me achieve a pulpy glowy skin.
Drink more water: I am guilty of second to none water intake! I have to increase it to at-least 8 glasses a day. I stand at one at the moment, excuse.
Wear more makeup: Yes, I don't. I wear makeup on occasions and my style has been nude face for too long. I think it is time I tried wearing more shades and went a little bolder with my choices.
Invest: I want to invest in good pieces of makeup and tools. Long-lasting and staple products to add in my stash.

These will be a few things I'll be keeping a check on this year, well at-least I hope to. Let me know what are yours!

Atiqa Odho Blush in Pink Pigeon

Hello there!

I received this blush in the last Pakistani Beauty Bloggers Community Secret Swap activity, about which you can read here. I have been dipping my blush brush in this product for far too long and thought it was time for a review.

I have not tried any products from the brand 'Atiqa Odho', by the celebrity of the same name. So naturally, very excited I have used it alternatively when I have light blush flush on my cheeks.

Shade: Pink Pigeon
(Sorry for the quality, I had to distort the light so the label was clearer).

Let's start with the first thing ad that is packaging. I am not a fan of it. By looking at it I will not pick it up. I do like how it is very compact and will fit in the corner of a clutch-bag when I am out. But it is the quality of the 'box' the product comes in. A weird thing to be put off by, I would have liked a better material for it and also some sort of plastic maybe in the cut out area of the packaging. Maybe I am being too picky-choosy and mean but again that's how I would have preferred it, if you can relate.

The pot is small, I like it. It opens from two sides. The top has the product and down lid has a mirror attached to it (very handy!) and a section to hold a tiny brush. This is where I had it. Loved the whole idea and was impressed! But to my utter despair and shock, the brush was missing! Fail. Nothing more to say.

Talking of the actual product itself, as you can see in the picture, the blush is light dusty-pink colored. It is perfect to add a little color on your skin without being too over the top. It can be built-up according to one's liking. Under this light pink dust is a strong color though.

I find that the product stays on for quite a long time and is nicely pigmented. On my skin it does not at all feel too powdery and so I reach it often in the summer time. Also during the course of hours it does not tend to fade away unevenly which is always a good thing. However, that might not be the case with everyone given the difference of skin types. I will suggest a stroke of mattefying powder over just in case, then.

Surely the product in itself has delivered above my expectations of it and I am quite happy to have it in my stash. The packaging can be worked on and improved and the brush? Well, include it when you mention so (extremely disappointed!)!
