I know I am constantly on the search for new and tasteful breakfast ideas. With two young kids at home, I need to find quick items I can eat on the go, without needing to cook them first (because face it, who has time in the morning between getting themselves ready for work and getting the kids ready for work to actually cook breakfast??). I have found the answer. It is The Butterfly Bakery.

Mini banana nut muffins. Enough said. They are only 80 calories for a pair of them which makes me jump for joy on the days where I'm trying to watch what I eat. Which is hit or miss, but these muffins are the perfect start to any morning. If I feel satisfied in the morning, it is much easier to continue eating healthy throughout the day.

For those days where I just don't care about eating light they have chocolate chip muffins. Hey...if it says muffin, it's for breakfast.

This muffin is perfection in a little paper wrapper!

The labels on the packages make it easy for me to check and see if the product I'm eating is gluten free. Each of their packages have color coded flowers showing if they are gluten free, sugar free or no sugar added. Look for the Orange Flower on the Butterfly Bakery packages!!

If you are in the Las Vegas area, please help a fellow Gluten Free Mom out and request your local Smiths & Von's to carry this brand!!!

Even with an iPhone picture this makes me hungry! In my house, I'm apparently the only one who likes leftovers. Well, lucky for me, I had leftover sauce from a baked ziti I had pre-prepped for my bowling night out.

Pizza--Baked Ziti Style

Ingredients:

Udi's Gluten Free Pizza Crust (OMG--You've got to try this!)

1/2 cup of leftover ziti sauce (meat sauce with ricotta cheese mixed in)

2 tablespoons (about a small handful) of mini pepperoni

1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

Defrost pizza crust (I let it sit in the fridge throughout the morning and it was ready by lunchtime)

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees

Evenly spread sauce, cheese and pepperoni on the cust

Bake about 10 minutes (until the cheese starts to bubble)

Come on now, I have a two and four year old. Fancy steaks and lobster are just not going to cut it. Their favorites are macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, and baked beans.

Don't those look yummy?

In the first picture, they are swimming in a pool of BBQ sauce. In the second they are on a rack ready to be baked in the oven. The "recipe" is very simple:

Valentine's Day Mini Hot Dogs

Ingredients:

1 package of mini hot dogs (I use Nathan's because their package says the all important "Gluten Free"

1/2 a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce

Toothpicks

Directions:

Cut the mini hot dogs in half on the diagonal.

Line them up in the shape of a heart.

Stick the toothpick through to hold together.

Either simmer in the BBQ sauce (I used my mini crockpot for 3 hours) for 10 minutes--you just need to heat everything through (everything is pre-cooked). OR bake for 10 minutes without the sauce.

Do you like the background image? Get it for free from My Memories Suite. The scrap booking page can be used with any software or with My Memories. If you don't already have My Memories software use this code STMMMS12420 when ordering to save $10.00 off the price!

You can download this image from for free for you to use. Just click HERE!
