The largest genocide in human history happened where? Most people would answer Germany, and the Jewish Holocaust. Actually though, the largest genocide happened in the USA, with the native American Indians, with estimates of 19 million to 100 million people killed.

How many million Native American Indians lived on the continent of Northern America, before the 'settlers' arrived? Official estimates range from 19 million to over 100 million people, (not counting South America). It is quite ironic that currently there is a great debate about 'immigrants' who in the minds of the current 'citizens', should be thrown out and sent back to where they came from... Who actually should be thrown out? Who actually 'owns' this great land? Who are the original and true 'citizens'?

After the 'discovery' of America, and the taking of 99.9% of what the Native Americans had possessed for tens of thousands of years, only several hundred thousand of the original inhabitants were left. Were 19 million or 100 million killed? No one knows and no one was counting. Whatever the number, this was the biggest genocide in the history of humankind. Hitler admired the concept of genocide that he learned from the US 'settlers', but no one in the US wants to admit this deep dark secret, which has been mostly covered up and denied since the 'founding' of this Republic.

Hitler praised the efficiency of the extermination of the 'red savages', who could not be turned into slaves or turned by captivity or subjugation. When none of these methods worked well enough, the 'founders' turned to 'reservation'.

Native American Holocaust

"The powerful and hard-hitting documentary, American Holocaust, is quite possibly the only film that reveals the link between the Nazi holocaust, which claimed at least 6 million Jews, and the American Holocaust which claimed, according to conservative estimates, 19 million Indigenous People.

It is seldom noted anywhere in fact, be it in textbooks or on the Internet, that Hitler studied Americas Indian policy, and used it as a model for what he termed the final solution.

He wasn't the only one either. Its not explicitly mentioned in the film, but its well known that members of the National Party government in South Africa studied the American approach before they introduced the system of racial apartheid, which lasted from 1948 to 1994. Other fascist regimes, for instance, in South and Central America, studied the same US policy.

Noted even less frequently, Canada's Aboriginal policy was also closely examined for its psychological properties. America always took the more wide-open approach, for example, by decimating the Buffalo to get rid of a primary food source, by introducing pox blankets, and by giving $1 rewards to settlers in return for scalps of Indigenous Men, women, and children, among many, many other horrendous acts.

Canada, on the other hand, was more bureaucratic about it. They used what I like to call the gentleman's touch, because instead of extinguishing, Canada sought to remove the Indian from the Man and the Women and the Child, through a long-term, and very specific program of internal breakdown and replacement call it assimilation. America had its own assimilation program, but Canada was far more technical about it.

Perhaps these points would have been more closely examined in American Holocaust if the film had been completed. The films director, Joanelle Romero, says shes been turned down from all sources of funding since she began putting it together in 1995.

Perhaps its just not good business to invest in something that tells so much truth? In any event, Romero produced a shortened, 29-minute version of the film in 2001, with the hope of encouraging new funders so she could complete American Holocaust. Eight years on, Romero is still looking for funds.

The interesting thing about this act of genocide is that it has been mostly denied, covered and most people either refuse to talk about it, or deny it ever happened. Most people think that the USA was 'discovered' by Columbus, and that is the only thing that counts. Nothing happened before that point in time, and no one really 'owned' America before then.

But this denial and coverup of a huge genocide is not unusual. Most if not all major countries around the globe have their own versions of this same, sad saga. Australia did the same thing with the aborigines. We already know about Germany and the Jews. The Russians killed millions in their country, and so on around the world.

Until we face the dark side, and admit to the darkness within, we cannot be complete and whole human beings. We will continue to project, blame, judge and kill others, while ignoring the true cause of violence, which is within each of us. There is a part of each of us, after all, that is a genocidal killer, willing to justify and blame others for what we ourselves are thinking or actually guilty of. All it takes is a little religion, a little money, a little power, or a little sex. The rest is history.

30,000 people were given a whole body radiation scan, and the conclusion from this team of supposed nuclear 'experts', scientists and professors was that no radioactive cesium was found in 99% of the residents living close to the Fukushima ground zero nuclear plant. Thus, no one was harmed, and no one will die from radiation as a result of Fukushima. This is also why the government is saying everything is back to normal, and people can move back into areas right around Fukushima.

However, this supposed scientific 'study' or research has severe problems both in the collection of the data and the conclusion that was reached. There is a computer model axiom that applies here; 'garbage in = garbage out'. These nuclear industry funded 'experts' concluded there was 'no harmful radiation' detected, because 'only' 1% of those tested had cesium levels of 300 Bq/kg or over, out of the 30,000 participants tested.

The only problem with this conclusion is that post Chernobyl studies by independent scientists showed that as little as 50 Bq/Kg of cesium caused physical lesions in the heart and other organs, plus the threat of major diseases and/or death from heart attacks in 100% of children studied. This means that the basic premise of this supposedly 'scientific' university study is so flawed, that it is completely worthless. In other words, it is garbage.

The nuclear industry promotes the industry propoganda that only very high doses of EXTERNAL radiation can cause harm in any way. They claim that internal radiation at doses under 300 Bq/kg cannot do any harm and thus all people contaminated with internal radiation at levels under that, will not be harmed. Thus they cannot blame the nuclear industry for their health problems.

These supposed education and scientific nuclear 'experts' support the nuclear industry position in a quid pro quo relationship, which means they receive financial or other perks such as political positions, for giving a certain prearranged outcome or beneficial to the nuclear industry result. All data received is massaged via computer models or 'estimates' to fit this preconceived notion that bears little or no relationship to reality. Those that come up with different conclusions other than what nuclear companies want get their funding cut off, and thus cannot make a living.

These supposed nuclear industry funded 'experts' draw no distinction between the effects of low dose radiation on mature healthy adults, an egg, sperm, a fetus and small children. The fact that one almost undetectable nano particle of plutonium inside the body, lodged next to or inside of a cell can have mutagenetic or cancer causing effects on surrounding cells, including an egg or sperm, simply does not register on them. Internal low dose radiation is not acknowledged as a potential source of harm, unless it is registered in massive amounts that will kill a person in a very short period of time.

This ONE university study only measured for extremely high levels of cesium that would mean quick death, but ignored low levels of plutonium, strontium or 100 other toxic and deadly radioactive isotopes that they also could have looked for and found, which cause negative health effects, and long term cancers or death.

The only problem with this positive 'spin' is that the nuclear industry experts knew very well that these nuclear reactors had a number of FATAL design flaws, such as the following, outlined by PhilliUpNorth via Enenews;

1. Containment Vessel is too small to contain a nuclear meltdown.

2. Torus, added to fix containment issue, failed when molten corium melted through steel pipes.

4. Zirconium fuel cladding gives off explosive levels of hydrogen when heated by melting fuel.

5. Vapors of zirconium and cesium formed an explosive mixture during a reactor meltdown, destroying the buildings, controls and safety systems in huge hydrogen explosions.

6. Spent Fuel Pools are located 100' high in the reactor building, making removal of melted fuel nearly impossible in destroyed buildings.

7. MOX fuel was used in an old plant, pushing temperatures and pressures higher then reactor design, causing failure and criticality explosion in #3 at Fukushima.

8. Diesel generators, pumps, and fuel tanks vulnerable to tsunami.

9. Reactors require electricity to shut down, melt down if without power.

10. Temperature and pressure gauges require electricity to operate.

11. Without power, control rooms cannot tell what is happening inside reactors.

12. Without power, operators are powerless (literally) to control reactors.

13. Mobile backup generators were wrong voltage to connect to switchgear.

14. Mobile pumps and fire engines do not have enough pressure to get water into the reactors.

15. Control rods insert from below, and leak molten corium through many holes in the bottom of reactor during a meltdown."

There are potentially 100-200 additional flaws, weaknesses and/or bad designs in this particular brand of nuclear reactor made by GE. Nuclear engineers quit rather than continue to work on it. But when these flaws and poor designs result in a massive accident, the best that the nuclear experts can do is to say that it 'performed better than it's best expectations'. Maybe they mean to say that they had zero expectations for it, so anything is better than nothing.

Nuclear engineers that worked on this design warned GE about the flaws, but nothing changed. Those that really cared quit rather than to keep working on it and building more plants that they knew would blow up, as Fukushima did, multiple times.

People who care about our future and community keep warning us, but very few people seem to want to listen or care..

Little or nothing is done about the 20 plus nuclear reactors of the same design operating in the USA, in order to address the obvious problems found. The companies responsible seem to not be learning the lessons needed from this disaster.

Project 4.1 - Human Radiation Experiments With Bikini Atoll Residents Exposed To Nuclear Bomb Fallout

66 Atomic Bombs were exploded on the Bikini Island Atolls. Hundreds of islanders were removed from the islands, but not from harms way. One hydrogen bomb exploded near the islands, and the children played with the dust from the bomb, as it fell from the sky. No one was warned about the radiation dangers or hazards. Islanders were called 'savages'. Women on the island after the bomb gave birth to deformed, mentally retarded children. No one knows how many people were caught in the fallout.

91% of these Marshall islanders had blood disorders caused by radiation when studied in the 1980's. Women still have very high rates of birth problems. The military spokesperson in the video says there is no radiation danger, (except cesium), somehow implying cesium is NOT radiation or dangerous.

The US government paid the islanders 150 million dollars as a one time settlement for all radiation damages, for all time. 10,000 Marshalese now live on about 50 acres in one part of the island, while the US has a base where the islanders are not allowed. Teens commit suicide here at a rate 100 times that of teens in the USA.

These islanders were forcibly removed from their homeland. They were forcibly irradiated In Project 4.1 where they were subjected to unethical human radiation experiments. They were squeezed into a tiny portion of one island, to make room for a huge US military base where they are still not allowed. Now they will be forced to endure a huge garbage dump, from imported garbage from cities located on the west coast of the USA. This dump may even accept nuclear waste.

Project 4.1 was the designation for a medical study conducted by the United States of those residents of the Marshall Islands exposed to radioactive falloutfrom the March 1, 1954 Castle Bravo nuclear test at Bikini Atoll, which had an unexpectedly large yield. Government and mainstream historical sources point to the study being organized on March 6 or March 7, 1954, six days after the Bravoshot.

Project 4.1

In the wake of the Bravo accident, a new research section was added to the Castle Bravo Weapons Effects research section. Program 4, "Biomedical effects," was to include one project, Project 4.1, titled "Study of Response of Human Beings exposed to Significant Beta and Gamma Radiation due to Fall-out from High-Yield Weapons." Eugene P. Cronkite of the National Naval Medical Center was designated as Project Officer.[1] Cronkite's instructions stressed the importance of secrecy surrounding the project:

...the project is classified SECRET RESTRICTED DATA. Due to possible adverse public reaction, you will specifically instruct all personnel in this project to be particularly careful not to discuss the purpose of this project and its background or findings with any except those who have specific "need to know."[2]

The purpose of the project, as a 1982 Defense Nuclear Agency report explained, was both medical as well as for research purposes:

The purposes of [Project 4.1] were to (1) evaluate the severity of radiation injury to the human beings exposed, (2) provide for all necessary medical care, and (3) conduct a scientific study of radiation injuries to human beings.[3]

As a Department of Energy Committee writing on the human radiation experiments wrote, "It appears to have been almost immediately apparent to the AEC and the Joint Task Force running the Castle series that research on radiation effects could be done in conjunction with the medical treatment of the exposed populations."[4]

The DOE report also concluded that "The dual purpose of what is now a DOE medical program has led to a view by the Marshallese that they were being used as 'guinea pigs' in a 'radiation experiment.'"[4]

Organizations involved in the project included the Naval Medical Research Institute, the Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory, Patrol Squadron 29, the Naval Air Station, Kwajalein, Los Alamos National Laboratory, the Applied Fisheries Laboratory at the University of Washington, and Hanford Atomic Power Operations.

Three U.S. Navy ships were used in the project: USS Nicholas, USS Renshaw, andUSS Philip.[3] The primary study of the Marshallese was terminated around 75 days after the time of exposure. In July 1954 a meeting at the Division of Biology at the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission decided to complete 6- and 12-month followup exposure studies, some of which were later written up as addendums to Project 4.1.[5]

The Castle Bravo fallout plume spread dangerous levels of radiation over an area over 100 miles long, including inhabited islands.

Some Marshallese have alleged that the exposure of the Marshallese was premeditated. In 1972, Micronesian Representative Ataji Balos charged at the Congress of Micronesia that the exposure during Bravo was purposeful so that the AEC could develop medical capabilities for treating those exposed to fallout during nuclear war, and charged that the Marshallese were chosen because of their marginal status in the world at large.

According to a U.S. internal transcription of Balos' talk, Balos alleged that "The U.S. chose to make guinea pigs out of our people because they are not white but some brown natives in some remote Pacific islands. Medical treatment that Rongelapese and Utrikese have been receiving is also highly questionable."[6] The AEC issued a staff comment denying these charges.

In 1994, a 1953 Castle Bravo program prospectus was found which included reference to Project 4.1 apparently written before the Bravo shot had occurred. The U.S. government responded that someone had gone back into the project list after the Bravo test to insert Project 4.1; thus, according to the U.S. government, the acts were not premeditated.

All other U.S. documents point to Project 4.1 having been established after the Bravo test—most sources point to its having been organized on March 7, 1954.[7] The final Project 4.1 report began in its preface with the statement that "Operation CASTLE did not include a biomedical program" (it mentions this in discussing the ad hoc nature by which the project personnel were assembled).[8]

All official and mainstream historical accounts of the Bravo test indicate that its high level of fallout was a result of a miscalculation in relation to itsdesign and was not deliberate (see the Castle Bravo article for more information on the alleged accident).

Barton C. Hacker, the official historian of U.S. nuclear testing exposures (who is, in the end, very critical of the U.S. handling of the Bravoincident), characterized the controversy in the following way:

In March 1954, the AEC had quickly decided that learning how the Marshallese victims of Castle Bravo responded to their accidental exposure could be of immense medical and military value.

Immediate action centered on seeing them evacuated and decontaminated, then cared for medically. But studies of their exposures and aftereffects also began. That effort became project 4.1 in the Castle experimental program. This unfortunate choice of terminology may help explain later charges that the AEC had deliberately exposed the Marshallese to observe the effects.

Like the American radium dial painters of the 1920s and the Japanese of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, the Marshallese of 1954 inadvertently were to provide otherwise unobtainable data on the human consequences of high radiation exposures. Findings from project 4.1 soon began to appear in print.[9]

Controversy continues however, fed by the legacy of mistrust sown by American nuclear testing in the Marshall Islands, which involved relocating hundreds of people and rendering several atolls uninhabitable.

While most sources do not think that the exposure was intentional, there is no dispute that the United States did carefully study the exposed Marshallese, but never obtained informed consent from the study subjects.

This study of the Marshallese was in some cases beneficial for their treatment, and in other cases not. In these ways, the study of the exposed Marshallese reflects the same ethical lapses as were undertaken in other aspects of the secret human radiation experiments conducted by the Atomic Energy Commission in the 1940s and 1950s, which came to light only after the end of the Cold War.

According to the Final Project 4.1 report, the Bravo test exposed 239 Marshallese on the Utirik, Rongelap, and Ailinginae Atolls to significant level of radiation, and 28 Americans stationed on the Rongerik Atoll were also exposed. Those on the Rongelap Atoll were the most seriously affected, receiving approximately 175 rads of radiation before they were evacuated.

Those on Ailinginae received 69 rads, those on Utirik received 14 rads, and the Americans on Rongerik received an average dose of 78 rads.[10][11][12][13] Most of those exposed showed signs of radiation sickness.. within a few days effects of significant radiation exposure manifested: loss of hair and significant skin damage, including "raw, weeping lesions", among the Rongelap and Ailinginae groups.

Many Japanese fishermen exposed to Bravo fallout on the fishing boat Daigo Fukuryū Maru died.

The belief in a traditional marriage is about the same as a girl believing that a prince riding a white horse will come to a castle and sweep her away, so that she can live happily ever after with a prince. How often does that happen? Almost never. Even in the extremely public case of Princess Diana, the perfect ideal of her getting swept away by the prince turned into a horror story.. So even inside a fairy tale, bad things happen more often than not.

If you see a 'perfect' couple, maybe they are just doing that for appearance sake. If you get to know them better, maybe you will find out that the 'perfect' couple that is adhering to some 'rulebook' are actually inside a miserable, unhappy marriage, but maybe not. If a gay couple is happy together, who are we to tell them that they cannot be married, pursue their version of happiness and raise kids together?

Wouldn't you agree that it may be better to not worry about or judge what other people are doing or not doing in their bedrooms, or in their castles? Maybe we can agree that it is best to focus on finding own happiness, peace and joy inside?

What Iceland did instead of taking the homes of people away, was to forgive the debts of those homes that were underwater. Most of the bailout money went to people at the bottom, and those at the top who caused the crisis through derivatives, went to jail.

People kept making house payments, and kept living in communities, and they kept their jobs. The fabric of society was not ripped apart. The problem was solved, and their financial house is in much better shape now.

In the USA, the banksters who caused the financial crisis got rewarded, and no one went to jail. All of the taxpayer funded bailout money went to the top 1%, and none of it trickled down. The total debts increased, and the total debt burden is now larger than it was before, so the problem actually got worse. The fabric of society is being ripped apart in the USA, as millions of homes were and still are being taken away from people. Millions of people and families got tossed into the street. Millions of people lost their jobs and were left destitute and without any help, from anyone.

The Republican and Democratic parties represents corporations these days. They think that helping corporations and the 1% at the top is fine. They do not NOT believe in helping PEOPLE at the bottom. They think helping people instead of corporations is 'evil' somehow, because that would lead to an evil 'Socialism'. Anything social is evil and anything government is evil. They want to drown both of these things.

Guess what? Government is the people. People vote for government representatives. If Republicans and Democrats think government is so evil, they should abolish the political parties they belong to and go home.

Government is town hall meetings. Government is roads, bridges, military, parks, rivers, schools, fire departments, police, and yes, government workers who keep all of this running.

Can we do without all of these things? We could go back to the cave man days, with no police force, no military, no fire department, and maybe that is what people want. Just keep voting in the Republicans and Democrats and we will probably end up there, as they keep trying to get rid of all of these things, while refusing to help the people who they are supposed to represent.

Vote Green Party. It is the only political party that does not take corporate donations. What kind of country would we have if our representatives actually thought about seven future generations, instead of their corporate masters and short term greed?

It seems that the Senate And House of Representatives (of the people, by the people and for the people) is no longer interested in debating bills. It seems that it is no longer about saving kids lives. It seems that it is no longer about weighing the pros and cons of any particular issue that affects our communities, our families and our children. These corporate paid off 'reps' no longer care about freedom and democracy. 90% of the public wanted this universal background check law passed. But that did not matter.

It seems to be all about getting money to be re-elected, because enough money seems to be all it takes to create a fake reality in the two weeks before an election, so that people will vote for the 'chosen' one that huge corporations back with huge $$$'s. Once elected, these corporation hacks just get paid more, to vote the way that the corporate bosses want them to.. Where is the evidence of this?

It seems to be all about saving the fake reality created by 30 gun manufacturers, so that they can keep selling mass shooters as many guns, as much ammo and and as many bullets as they want.

Of course, these senators will more than likely claim that they never read the bill, so they cannot be held responsible for understanding it, or even for their vote.. They say that a lot these days.

Many politicians will actually come right out and say in public that most bills coming before them are never read before being voted on. So what are these legislators actually doing, other than trolling for money, like some street hooker?

90% of legislators pass legislation with no debate, while not even reading the bills that they are voting on.

Now you know who is telling these 'reps' to vote on these bills that they do not read. Now you know what kind of money is behind the scenes, pulling the strings to buy off the votes of these political prostitutes, who sell votes for blood money, and sell your freedom and democracy to the highest bidder.

The support for lone super SWAT style armed assassins bent on taking out people in kindergardens, theatres, and colleges seems to be almost unlimited in the halls of Congress, among those receiving blood money from the NRA.

Guess what? The NRA members, the 30 gun manufacturers and those that support them got their wish. The mass killers are still on the prowl. Any crazy loon can still go out and buy a military assault rifle, arm himself to the teeth and go assassinate a bunch of people with absolutely no background check at all.

Would you believe that US soldiers are being beaten and/or are being punished for not accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior? Is this possible in a country that decided to separate religion from government in the founding documents?

If the entire US military and all officers are forced to 'convert' to just one brand of extreme fundamentalist belief system, what could happen? Why did a five year old brother shoot and kill his 2 year old sister? Because he could. Because his parents bought him a gun. Because the NRA sold his family the bill of goods that more guns equals more safety, not suffering and death, through their advertising. Their marketing geniuses came up with pink guns for girls and brightly colored guns for boys, just like candy.

The NRA, gun dealers and gun manufacturers believe that selling guns to five year old kids is a good idea, because it is very profitable. What happened to common sense?

Five year old's have no business owning or shooting a gun, just like five year olds have no business driving a car, drinking alcohol, taking drugs, having sex or gambling. Every parent or mother with any common sense knows these things intuitively. A parent does not give a nuclear bomb to a kid, just because they can. Good parents do not sell their kids into prostitution at age five, just because they can.

Gun dealers are in the same category of people who get rich off of war, gambling, prostitution, drugs or alcohol. It is possible to get rich by being involved or selling any or all of these things, but it is blood money, because there is a lot of suffering and death that goes along with these industries.

What kind of person can live while taking on this kind of spiritual burden of causing suffering for brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers? Would this qualify as the kind of person that Jesus was talking about; "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God."

There are always going to be people who sell things for money, even though they know people will suffer and die as a result of their product. They do not care about families, community or what works for seven future generations. They care only about the money, and how much of it they can separate from you.

The NRA spirit could be considered rigid and prickly, their hearts hard, their minds black and white, and they are willing to sell their souls to anyone who offers twenty pieces of worthless paper, silver or gold (darkness). Anyone who is not with them is their enemy. And enemies are what guns are made for; to take them out. No sense in debating in Congress... just eliminate them all and/or bribe people to get what you want. That is what happens to those who gain any traction in the peace and justice movement. They are 'taken out'. Jesus Christ, Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Rep. Gifford, and many more.

Have you ever wondered why the gun lobby is so powerful, that they can short circuit democracy? Could it have anything to do with the 1% gun manufacturers made up of 30 companies inside the USA being so extremist, that they are willing to actually 'take out' the opposition, willing to bribe politicians and threaten people, rather than talking and working through to a reasonable and common sense solution? Some of their followers are extremist as well, because they want the right to carry guns anywhere. This has consequences.

Would you negotiate in a difficult and heated situation with someone who is armed on their side, but you come in with no weapons at all? How would that affect the negotiations? One side is armed to the teeth, brandishing weapons; which is an open and threatening display of death if they do not get their way. How fair and equal do you think those negotiations are going to be?

How much money is it going to take to compromise an average person's ethics, values, morals and conscience, so that someone will agree to be a merchant of death, and they will sell guns to five year old kids? Our society has descended to the point where we are like perverse animals, eating our own young and each other, rather than focusing on solutions.

For some, the “right” to bear arms trumps any reasonable legislation about restricting access to certain types of firearms. This most recent mass shooting, which will likely be the worst incident of gun violence in recent American history, is not going to cause a rethinking of the country’s love affair with such weapons. Nor will the mass murder of 20 children and 6 adults by Adam Lanza weaken the NRA’s hold on our legislators. The NRA and their clan will retreat back to a default position and rhetorical redoubt where “guns don’t kill people, only people do.”

These same ideologues, who in the 21st century remain some type of throwback premodern tribesman at the early dawn of human history, are utterly devoted to a fetish object of metal and plastic which they worship as a god. For them, the mass shooting of children in Newton, Connecticut will be a funeral pyre whose light they will read as spirits dancing in the shadows, beckoning to them that more guns equals less crime, and that school teachers–and perhaps even children–should be allowed to carry firearms in school. Magical thinking brings public policy solutions that are not grounded in common sense or empirical reality."

Deformed red-blood cells: Dr. Les Simpson, of New Zealand, has identified deformed red-blood cells, as observed under an electron microscope, as causing symptoms ranging from severe fatigue to brain dysfunction leading to short-term memory loss. Medical professionals are not trained in how to recognize or deal with radiation caused fatigue. As we have learned, invisible low dose radiation can and does cause harm to the genetic energy production centers of cells. It also causes a drop in the number of red blood cells, deformation of red blood cells, and other negative health effects. The negative health effects of low dose radiation have not been studied well by the medical or nuclear industry.

The nuclear industry denies low dose radiation has any effect on humans, and blames victims for mental problems, rather than acknowledging that radiation can cause harm at low doses.

In just about any nuclear accident or radiation exposure, the people who are exposed are the LAST priority and focus of both the nuclear industry and the government. It took ten days after Chernobyl blew up for the government to act in order to save ordinary civilians, but only after international exposure and pressure was applied.

In Japan, after 3 different Fukushima reactors blew up and melted down, it also took time after the actual accident for the government to even acknowledge that radiation had been released, and then it took more time for people to be moved out of the danger zone.

In the same way, radiation exposure of whole populations has been a very low priority of both the nuclear industry, the military industrial complex and any government. Their first priority always seems to be to save the company first, then make the government look good by managing the press releases so that it looks like nothing bad ever happened so no one really was harmed, despite radiation exposure to millions of people.

The problems with radiation exposure of a civilian or military population seems to be multifaceted. First, the nuclear company, the industry and regulators downplay or outright completely deny the dangers and hazards of low level radiation in a wide variety of ways.

Second; the government is often controlled and manipulated by the industry via revolving doors, a variety of bribery type influences and political pressure or promises of financial support for their district either with jobs, research grants, education grants, etc. Thus the government and regulators are often complicit in a denial of any harm from radiation and refuse to even seriously investigate the effects of low level radiation after any nuclear accident.

Third, the medical industry is also heavily influenced by the nuclear industry, by direct compensation to medical universities, where medical professionals are NOT trained to recognize or deal with low level radiation health effects. On the contrary, doctors and nurses are trained only in the beneficial effects of treating diseases with radiation, thus the assumption is made by many of them that no harm can come to any person from a low level exposure to radiation.

In Japan however, the nuclear industry has grown financial and political tentacles into the medical profession. Through a variety of means, the nuclear industry has ordered hospitals and radiation testing labs to not provide internal radiation testing for any person or food item and to refuse to investigate high or low level radiation related health complaints by residents.

According to WikiHow; "Exposure to radiation can result in acute (immediate) and chronic (delayed) sickness symptoms.[9] Doctors can predict the level of radiation exposure from the timing and the nature of the symptoms, with the level and extent of symptoms varying dependent on the dosage received, with symptoms consistent for every person according to the dose)[10] The following symptoms are fairly standard in a person suffering from acute radiation sickness:

Nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and diarrhea may occur within minutes to days of exposure to radiation; these are known as "prodrome". These symptoms tend to arise 2 to 12 hours after exposure to 2 Gy or more of radiation (hematopoietic syndrome).[11]

In about 24 to 36 hours, the symptoms may come and go and a symptom-free period can occur for as long as a week, known as the "latent stage".[12] The person usually looks and feels healthy for a short time, after which he or she will become sick again with loss of appetite, fatigue, difficulty in breathing, general weakness, paleness, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and possibly even seizures and coma.[5] During the week of "feeling well", the patient's blood cells in the bone marrow, spleen and lymph nodes are wasting away without being replaced, resulting in severe damage to the numbers of white blood cells, platelets and red blood cells in that order.[13]

Skin damage may also occur. It presents as swelling, itching, and redness of the skin (like a bad sunburn). Skin reddening usually occurs with about a 2 Gy dosage.[14]There can be hair loss. Like the gastrointestinal symptoms mentioned above, the skin conditions come and go, the skin may seem to heal for a short time, and then the complications appear again.[5]

According to the Dept. Of Veteran Affairs; "The U.S. military uses tank armor and some bullets made with depleted uranium (DU) to penetrate enemy armored vehicles, and began using DU on a large scale during the 1990-1991 Gulf War.

The process of manufacturing enriched uranium from natural uranium used in nuclear reactors or weapons leaves “depleted” uranium. DU has 40 percent less radioactivity, but the same chemical toxicity as natural uranium.

If you think you were exposed to depleted uranium during your military service, talk to your local VA Environmental Health Coordinator. Ask to be screened for depleted uranium exposure, and ask about the Depleted Uranium Follow-Up Program.

How Veterans may have been exposed to depleted uranium

When a projectile made with DU penetrates a vehicle, small pieces of DU can scatter and become embedded in muscle and soft tissue. In addition to DU in wounds, soldiers exposed to DU in struck vehicles may inhale or swallow small airborne DU particles.

Some Gulf War, Bosnia, Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), and Operation New Dawn (OND) Veterans who may have been exposed to DU are those who were: on, in or near vehicles hit with friendly fire; entering or near burning vehicles; near fires involving DU munitions; or salvaging damaged vehicles.

Health problems associated with depleted uranium

DU is a potential health hazard if it enters the body, such as through embedded fragments, contaminated wounds, and inhalation or ingestion. Simply riding in a vehicle with DU weapons or DU shielding will not expose a service member to significant amounts of DU or external radiation.

The potential for health effects from internal exposure is related to the amount of DU that enters a person’s body. If DU enters the body, it may remain in the body. Studies show high doses may especially affect the kidneys.

So far no health problems associated with DU exposure have been found in Veterans exposed to DU. Researchers and clinicians continue to monitor the health of these Veterans. It is well known that depleted munitions were used inside civilians cities, by many nations other than the USA. Potentially, millions of people around the world have been exposed to depleted uranium dust and radiation.

The VA benefits program PROVES harm done to those exposed to DU, so it follows that everyone else who was exposed also deserves compensation. How about all of those people exposed in locations where these munitions were tested, inside the USA or other countries?

Veterans may be eligible for disability compensation and health care benefits for any disease that VA recognizes as related to radiation exposure during service. Surviving spouses, dependent children and dependent parents of Veterans who died as the result of diseases related to radiation exposure during service may be eligible for survivors' benefits.

Presumptive diseases related to ionizing radiation

For Veterans who participated in a radiation-risk activity during service (including "Atomic Veterans"), VA assumes that certain cancers are related to their exposure. These are called "presumptive diseases."

Cancers of the bile ducts, bone, brain, breast, colon, esophagus, gall bladder, liver (primary site, but not if cirrhosis or hepatitis B is indicated), lung (including bronchiolo-alveolar cancer), pancreas, pharynx, ovary, salivary gland, small intestine, stomach, thyroid, urinary tract (kidney/renal, pelvis, urinary bladder, and urethra)

Leukemia (except chronic lymphocytic leukemia)

Lymphomas (except Hodgkin’s disease)

Multiple myeloma (cancer of plasma cells)

These Veterans don't have to prove a connection between these diseases and their service to be eligible for disability compensation.

Surviving spouses, dependent children and dependent parents of Veterans who participated in a radiation-risk activity and died as the result of one of these diseases may be eligible for survivors' benefits.

Other diseases associated with radiation exposure

If a Veteran who was exposed to radiation during military service (including "Atomic Veterans") develops one of the diseases listed below and meets other requirements, disability compensation may be provided on a case-by-case basis.

All cancers

Non-malignant thyroid nodular disease

Parathyroid adenoma

Posterior subcapsular cataracts

Tumors of the brain and central nervous system

Eligibility depends on how much radiation the Veteran received and other factors, such as the period of time between exposure to radiation and the development of the disease.

Surviving spouses, dependent children and dependent parents of Veterans who wereexposed to radiation during military service and died as the result of one of these diseases may be eligible for survivors' benefits.

VA also will consider the possibility that other diseases not listed above were caused by radiation, if supported by medical or scientific evidence. To be eligible for compensation, VA must be able to establish that it is at least as likely as not that a Veteran’s disease was caused by his/her radiation exposure during service.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)

VA presumes amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosed in all Veterans who had 90 days or more continuous active military service is related to their service, although ALS is not related to radiation exposure.

Fox News and to some extent most of the other major corporate owned news networks are exposed on the Daily Show's Jon Stewart where he takes viewers on a tour of the wars waged by Fox News. The wars range from the War on Christmas to the brutal war on Ladies' Night. (Nobody can take away our cosmos and '90s dance parties at mediocre bars, amiright!?)

The only war missing on Fox News is the War on Women.

The only problem with spending so much time on war, war, nothing but war that really are just distractions, is that it desensitizes people to what is really going on.

When there is time to focus on the issues involved in a REAL war, and talk about who lied to get us into this war or that war, and where the money went, there is no time, because it is much more important to spend time on the war on Christmas, or the war on Republican Women.

One large war that is missing on Fox News is the War on Women. No news is good news when it comes to the consequences of women not having access to birth control, abortions, or health checkups through community health care clinics. What happens if all abortion clinics are closed permanently? Will that stop abortions? Will that stop the sale of birth control products?

The issues that come up around trade and importing of products make the enforcement part of the above agreement very hard to implement. On the one hand, the regulation calls for 'protecting the community', but on the other, it calls for not affecting trade between nations at all. So whether the contaminated product is coming from around Chernobyl in Russia, or from around Fukushima in Japan, the odds of finding and blocking radiation contaminated food or drink items are remote, due to pressures imposed by the corporations and their 'bought' politicians

Italy is not alone in finding contaminated meat in animals. The above video shows a typical radiation detection machine for finding and measuring radiation in food. It is actually very easy to understand how radiation is being found thousands of miles away from Chernobyl, in food items located far away in both distance and time.

Radiation is STILL being found today, 30 plus years after Chernobyl, in wild critters in Germany, Finland, Norway, Sweden, British Islands, Scotland, Ireland and more. Even Alaskan and Siberian animals have been contaminated with radiation. But this information is suppressed, denied and ignored by the corporate owned mass media. How and why that happens is a very interesting story.

Politicians are bribed by the nuclear industry to only pass laws favorable to them, and never to mention any dangers. The corporate owned mass media has huge ad accounts with the nuclear industry, so these mass media outlets as a rule do not 'rock the boat', because that would threaten their ad revenues and their bottom line profits.

The medical industry depends on radiation for a huge portion of their profits, so they will not call attention to this issue either, plus doctors and nurses receive no training in medical school for low dose radiation symptoms or issues.

Typically, victims suffering low dose radiation poisoning and trying to get help from medical professionals end up being diagnosed with psychological problems and are ordered to smile more, or take drugs to treat their mental issues.

The nuclear research scientists and scholars who work at universities and colleges almost always get funding from the nuclear industry, so these institutions also stay quiet about the harm that low dose radiation causes, or their funding sources would be cut.

And finally the nuclear regulators are nothing more than revolving doors into and out of the nuclear industry. A majority of the regulators at the NRC are actually pro industry hacks and nothing more. Bottom line, there is no protection, no information and no one caring for the average person's health, or safety when it comes to radiation coming out of nuclear facilities.

Good luck with finding any concrete information that can help protect your family after an accident happens near you. Typically all you will hear is "no levels that would cause harm", and thus there is no reason to worry, no reason to move, no matter what is going on, or how much radiation is being released from a plant that is melting down.

Often what happens after a nuclear accident where massive amounts of radiation are released is that the workers at the plant get their own families out and away, but everyone else is left to suffer and/or die. The workers and scientists know... but they cannot speak either, because they are sworn to secrecy and sign non disclosure agreements. The whole industry from top to bottom is one big, gigantic secret and is based on lies.

For example, they ignore the fact that children and infants are up to 2,000 times more sensitive to the same low dose of radiation in food or drink. What may be 'harmless' for at least a short period to a 200 pound adult healthy male, may be deadly to an egg, sperm, fetus, and/or highly toxic to a baby or even a small child.

If the radiation released from nuclear accidents, uranium recycling plants and nuclear dumping is so harmless, why is there so much resistance to independent experts doing radiation testing of fish, seaweed and shellfish? Medical facilities, hospitals and labs are not ALLOWED to test for radiation in Japan. This looks very much like a cover up. If it is NOT a coverup, what would a coverup look like. Would a coverup consist of a nation blocking all efforts to monitor and test for radiation by outside independent radiation 'experts'?

Fish caught close to the Fukushima nuclear plant was 2,500 times over the legal safe radiation limit. The murasoi fish, which is comparable to a rockfish, was found in the area surrounding the now-closed power plant.

The Pacific Ocean has currents in northern Japan, which create a counterclockwise rotation in the ocean there. Another swirl allows Fukusima radiation to come back around to the area around Tokyo in central Japan. These roations in the ocean recirculate the radiation around and around right around the coast of Japan. This is one explanation for cesium levels of 25,800 Bq. per Kg. in fish in this area.

The highest cesium level in all of the catches came in March—a year after the accident—when a landlocked masu salmon caught in a Japanese river was found to have a whopping 18,700 becquerels of cesium per kilogram—or 187 times Japan’s ceiling.

“Those are high numbers. It would give me pause if I were eating fish in Japan.…Imported fish are also a concern,” said Fisher, a marine-sciences professor at New York’s Stony Brook University. Fisher added in a phone interview that the persistently high cesium numbers may be a sign that the Fukushima plant is still leaking radiation into the ocean.

The data shows the contamination has remained high in both saltwater species and freshwater fish found in Japanese lakes and rivers. Especially high cesium levels have been found in recent months in these saltwater species: halibut (a catch in May 2012 had 570 Bq/kg), sole (a catch in January had 180 Bq/kg), and cod (a catch in February had 260 Bq/kg).

The problem of radiation contaminated ocean and freshwater fish and other life is not limited to Japan, and the 60 million people mentioned above. Remember that fish and plants bio concentrate radiation, so the low levels mentioned are going to be much higher in animals and plants.

The USA is importing Japanese food (including fish and seaweed) with no restrictions. The Japanese are exporting food even from these contaminated regions. What happens to a pregnant mom, a baby, or child if they eat contaminated seaweed, tea, or fish?

The US government has raised the 'allowed' or 'safe' level of radiation in US food. Thus, all food is now safe, even if it is contaminated. India however, has banned all imports of Japanese food. The corporate owned mass media only talks about how 'safe' everything is, without getting into the actual process of bioaccumulation of radiation in foods. Their mantra seems to be to protect profits at all costs. The mass media keeps people stupid and buying everything, no matter how contaminated it is.

Radiation contaminated foods are regularly exported from contaminated areas around other nuclear accidents, because the financial losses are too high to bear, if the damage and harm were truly acknowledged. No one wants to lose their farm and their way of life. No one wants to stop fishing, hunting, or collecting seaweed, mussels and other shellfish.

Because of the profit motive and pressure from people who do not care about the health of future generations, contaminated fish and other food is grown and exported to other countries. In this way, radiation contamination spreads around the globe, into billions of people.

Have you ever wondered why the cancer rate among children is going up each year? Why are whole hospitals now dedicated to caring for children with cancer, leukemia and other 'adult' or old age diseases? These things did not exist just a few generations ago. Yes, there may be other causes, but certainly radiation should be counted as just ONE of those causes.

What is wrong with gays marrying one another and avoiding the double taxation of the death tax? Nothing.

What is wrong with gays marrying each other and living together in peace and harmony? Nothing. The world will not end. People can still go to church. God will not punish anyone, but just to be clear, the global warming plus Earth changes are not the gay's fault.

If God were punishing evil doers, then Texas must lead the nation in the number of sinners and evil doers, because it is getting hit worse than any state in the nation with droughts, storms, etc. Seeing as how Texas also has probably the LEAST number of gays per capita, what does that say about God and Texans?

In oral arguments Tuesday and Wednesday on two cases involving gay couples' rights, the justices left open multiple options for rulings that are expected in June. But they signaled there was no prospect of imposing a 50-state solution at this stage. With nine states now allowing same-sex marriages and other states banning them via statutes or constitutional amendments, that means a longer spell with a patchwork marriage-rights map – and no early end to bruising state-by-state battles in the courts, in the legislatures and at the ballot box.

As the consciousness of the public evolves, so will the laws. As the love grows and fear subsides, the laws will change. As the judgement disappears, so will the hate. As the number of gays as a percentage of the population grows, so will the acceptance of them. There are many reasons for this increase, but that trend will more than likely continue, no matter how much praying is done in churches.

Currently the gays make up approximately 10% of the average population. Should they be treated like lepers and be cast out of society, (shunned) much like women were who had sex outside of marriage back in the early Colonial American days? Or should gays enjoy the same benefits under the law as the other 90%?

What works for seven future generations of both gay and opposite sex couples' kids? If you were a child raised by a same sex couple, would you want your parents married, or forced to stay 'single' and live together with no rights?

That is the very simple question.

Law enforcement can track down criminals and terrorists if bullets, guns, explosives and gunpowder are 'tagged' with identifying items embedded INSIDE of these things, much like tags can be put into dogs and cats in order to identify them if they get lost.

It is possible to track the weapon, gunpowder, bullets or explosives used to a specific place where that item was purchased, which will then help lead authorities to the perpetrator of a crime.

The problem is that the NRA is opposed to preventing gun violence. They are opposed to catching criminals, terrorists and the mentally insane who choose to use weapons or weapons of mass destruction, through the use of 'tagged' weapons, gunpowder, bullets and explosives.

In the latest Boston bombing, the two young males who were pursued by police fired HUNDREDS of rounds at the local police, and they threw at least four bombs or homemade grenades at them as well.

Here we have another example of how a couple of disturbed young males can purchase as much ammo and guns as they want online, through straw purchasers or through gun shows, with no problem and no background checks whatsoever. Then they use these weapons to try and kill a bunch of people.

The ingredients to make weapons of mass destruction can also be tagged, so that if someone is crazy enough to make and use something like this, as in the above video, they can quickly be caught and apprehended.

Here is a short introduction to lucid dreaming. The best way to start is to begin writing down your dreams in a dream journal. Everyone has 3 to 7 dreams a night, but most people forget them before they wake up.

Start with an affirmation before you go to sleep; "I remember my dreams when I wake up". Have the journal next to you r bed, easy to reach, along with a light that is easy to turn on, with a pencil or pen inside of it.

After you wake up, do not get up. Repeat the affirmation "I am remembering my dreams". Then write down anything you can recall. The more you practice this, the more dreams you will recall. This is the first step to lucid dreaming. Once you remember your dreams, the next step is to learn how to dream in a lucid manner.

What is fueling the military style assault rifle murder capital of the world execution rate?

Poverty, lack of opportunity, no equality and easy money from an illegal drug mafia all fuel the gun trade and the highest murder rate in the world per capita. Almost 100% of the guns used in the nightly execution style murders in this city are imported from the USA, because guns are very hard to get in Mexico.

The drug business related assassins brag that the US has the best guns in the world. They say that guns are the easiest to purchase inside the USA, which is true. Among all civilized nations, the US has the most lax gun laws in the entire civilized world.

If the US had the same strict gun laws as Mexico does, the city and state Juarez law enforcement may have a great chance of quelling the violence. But they stand powerless and helpless against the flood of military assault rifles and handguns spilling over the border in huge waves on a nightly basis.

Mexico has some of the most rigorous anti gun laws in the world, but they do not work in the city of Juarez, Mexico, because right across the border, a literal flood of guns is coming into Mexico, sometimes even with the help of the US Government.

The police race around all night, taking pictures of dead bodies, putting them in body bags and hauling them off to the morgue, often never to be identified. The morgue is overwhelmed with the number of bodies coming in every night. The video illustrates a typical night of murders documented in the daily newspaper, which featured details and pictures of 28 execution style murders from the night before.

The Mexican State Army investigates many of these murders, and has seized over 10,000 AK style military assault rifles in just a few years at these crime scenes.

Last year 30,000 guns were seized in total. Almost all of these seized weapons are guns manufactured and sold in the USA and then transported to Mexico. Some estimates place the number of weapons going into Mexico at several thousand per DAY, in a nation where there are only 6,000 total weapons are registered legally in an entire nation.

The number of people killed in the relatively small border town of Juarez, Mexico exceeds the average number of people killed per day in entire military war zone countries, such as Iraq or Afghanistan. This is a huge, insane war, based entirely on illegal drugs flowing into the US.

The US drives and causes this huge spike in drug related murder in Mexico. The only reason that this murder rate is so high, is because the price of drugs is so high, due to drugs being illegal. This murder rate would drop to close to zero overnight if Mexico and the US legalized all drugs, as Portugal and the Netherlands have.

In the documentary movie above, they explain that young desperate young males band together for protection and to make money via illegal means, because there are no jobs and no opportunities in Juarez, especially since huge global corporations took all of their factories and moved them to cheaper labor countries such as Communist China and Vietnam.

That loss of jobs and opportunities leaves thousands of young people out of work, desperate and hungry. These young teenage gang members can buy guns on the black market and hire themselves out for quick and easy money as assassins, for the larger drug cartels.

The bigger drug cartels offer easy and quick money for desperate, young adult males with a thrill seeking mentality. Many of these young teen assassins are hired to go kill someone for the equivalent of $200 US. One assassin was interviewed and said he had killed 15 people for the drug cartel, and it did not bother him at all. He said there are so many people killing for money that if did not do it, many others would step into his shoes, so why should he miss out on this easy money?

Pro gun enthusiasts point to Mexico as a reason why strict anti gun violence laws do NOT work. However, when one mixes high value drugs and a border town where drugs and guns are mixed in a volatile mixture, the laws against guns become meaningless.

In Japan, the murder by gun rate for the whole nation for the whole year is 10 people. The small border town of Juarez Mexico exceeds this murder rate in ONE NIGHT, due to the influence of drugs and huge profits to be made, plus two or more rival gangs fighting over a lucrative drug business border crossing.

This story is a miniature repeat of the Prohibition era in the USA. Rival gangs increased the crime and murder rate in cities all over the nation. Because the crimes and murders got so bad, people realized that the laws against alcohol actually created the gangs dealing in bootleg liquor. The gangs fought each other and killed innocent civilians, which created terror in the cities all across the nation.

After alcohol was made legal and Prohibition laws were repealed, the crime and murder rate dropped back down, way down. The same thing would happen in Juarez Mexico, as well as in cities all across the USA. Crime and murder rates would drop potentially as low as Japanese levels, from the current 30,000 per year that die from guns in the USA, because the profit motive involved with illegal drugs would dry up and disappear. That means the killings and holdups to get money to buy drugs would also disappear.

When will people wake up and vote in politicians more interested in creating safe communities, through dismantling the violence creating anti drug laws and patent medication laws, which do nothing but kill people, harm communities and destroy democracies all around the world, through the influence of huge global corporations, both legal and illegal?

What will it take for people to think about seven future generations, instead of short term profits? The cost of a human being is getting very cheap indeed, thanks to huge global corporations that work one country against another, driving down the cost of labor below that of the slavery days in the USA.

Juarez is not alone with this problem. In the video below, more details about the drug war expanding into the whole country of Mexico is detailed.

In the documentary above, other cities are explored, especially those far away from the major cities. They detail how the major drug manufacturing centers are located in towns five hours or more away from major roads and cities.

They alsoo explain how the drug families control and run those towns, not the police or Mexican government. In those same towns, the drug families are loved and supported, but the police and government are hated and despised, because they threaten the financial welfare of these towns and their citizens, who are thriving and doing well by local production of marijuana or coca leaves.

How does one win a war where the supposed 'enemy' controls whole sections of the country? How does one win a war where the population in those areas supports and loves the drug family leaders, much like people love the Bush family here in the USA?

The drug culture and raising of marijuana crops is just about the only thing that Mexico has which creates a STABLE source of wealth for the people. Most of the the major global corporations left Mexico along with their factories, because they found cheaper labor elsewhere, such as in Bangladesh, India, China and Vietnam.

These huge corporations create a huge number of supposed jobs in a specific country and local area, which attracts huge numbers of laborers willing to work for almost nothing, but then those same corporations leave those factory workers in the dust when another country agrees to cheaper labor rates. That is the story of Juarez Mexico for example. And that is why it is now the murder capital of the world, despite strong anti gun laws.

Until the drug laws are changed, the violence will only get worse, just as it did during Prohibition. As one drug dealer is killed, he is replaced immediately by someone who is even more ruthless, more cold blooded and more heartless than the last guy.

In this downward spiral of executions, death and violence all around the world, the only winners are the huge corporations, the gun manufacturers and the politicians who market and sell death via bullets, huge ammo magazines and military style assault rifles. Everyone else loses.

New York Passes Tough Gun Law Banning Military Style Assault Rifles and Huge Ammo Clips

There is hope in America. New York State politicians are acted to put into place common sense gun violence reduction measures, such as banning military style assault rifles and huge ammo clips.

This new New York law;

1. bans military style assault rifles

2. Limits ammunition clips to a maximum of 7 rounds

3. Requires mental health professionals to report those who are talking about committing violent acts

These common sense measures protect the right to keep and bear arms for self protection, but act to reduce the threat of mass murderers, criminals and terrorists who threaten public safety and right of assembly. People should not have to fear going to school, theatre or shopping because some whacko nut job went to a gun show and bought a military weapon, body armor, thousands of rounds of ammo, plus huge ammo clips holding 50-100 rounds, just so he can go out and kill dozens of people in a blaze of mass media glory, fame and news coverage on all channels.

Federal politicians (so far) have not acted in any way, because of fear of the gun lobby. Isn't it rather odd, that Senate and Congressional politicians in Washington listen to a small number of gun manufacturing lobbyists, rather than the 90% of voters who put them into office?

90% of citizens in the US, and 80% of Republicans want to see background checks put into place universally. So why is this not happening? Where did democracy disappear to? It will be interesting to see what voters do the next election cycle.

Will voters remember those politicians who voted with the 1% and gun manufacturers? Will citizens vote those politicians who voted against universal background checks out of office? Time will tell.

Meanwhile, there is good news in In New York, as state politicians acted and passed a law that put in place a number of common sense gun violence reduction methods.

On another front, WalMart said it has stopped selling weapons. If more retailers would act in this way, that would also help. Gun dealers and online retailers could stop selling large capacity ammo clips and body armor to average shmoes waiting for just the right moment to shoot up innocent children in public schools.

Investors could help too, by acting to prevent investment in gun manufacturing and weapons stocks. Individual investors can do the same thing. Review your portfolio and sell stock in those companies that support or encourage the sales of military style assault rifles, and huge gun clips.

A single-shot firearm that takes a bit of work to reload. A single shot black powder rifle would make it impossible for someone to walk into a school and kill twenty children, much less mow down fifty people in a movie theatre.

The writers of the Constitution wrote the gun rights amendment to apply ONLY to militia members (army or national guard). They were thinking only of single shot muzzle loading rifles that took between 1 to 5 minutes to reload. For the NRA to twist the Constitution into a pretzel like all out free for all that allows any civilian to pretty much purchase whatever weapons they want is ridiculous, and insane.

The writers of the Constitution would be rolling over in their graves, if they saw what modern day, military style rifles are doing to the fellow countrymen, women and children.

The Constitutional gun 'right' amendment was NEVER meant to apply to any mentally disturbed 18 year old that wants to go out and kill a bunch of people with a military style assault rifle. A "well regulated militia", not only implies but REQUIRES extensive training, education and safety lessons, PLUS limits and controls on those weapons. Yes, anyone can join the militia and 'get a gun', but then there is a responsibility and accountability as well.

No army in the world just hands military rifles to raw recruits fresh off the bus, with no training, no experience and no knowledge about rifles, much less guns in general. Why would any parent put their kid in a car with no education, no training, and no practice in a drivers ed school? It would be insane for a parent to put a kid who has never driven anything into a car and wish them well, while watching them drive off down the road in a high performance sports car than can go 300 miles per hour in 3 seconds flat.

None of the US military branches hand their recruits a rifle with 50-200 round clips, able to shoot either full auto or as fast as they can pull the trigger. Even the military KNOWS that this is foolish, stupid and extremely dangerous.

Yet, the NRA thinks that this not only a good idea, they believe and teach that every kid, teacher and principal should be armed to the teeth, with loaded weapons, ready to fire at a moments notice. Can you imagine what a bunch of hormone loaded teens will do if they are all armed? Got a beef with the principal or a teacher? Pull out the gun and settle the score with a couple of rounds. Want to impress the girls? Fire off a couple rounds in any direction. Mad at a bully? Let him have it with a Glock 9 MM.

The military requires that fresh raw and young recruits go through extensive training, drills and practice with DUMMY rifles first. The military does lots of gun handling drills and safety classes before anyone can handle a live fire weapon. Then all of these same military branches do live firing exercises at gun ranges, where they give these recruits ONE ROUND at a time to load and fire at a target.

Extensive safety training, practice and education is done before any soldiers are allowed to carry around a loaded weapon on their own, outside of an extremely well controlled gun range. The only people on military bases allowed to carry loaded weapons are the military police. Unless they are in an active war zone, soldiers are not allowed to carry around loaded weapons or keep them in their homes. This is a 'well regulated militia' that is allowed to have guns, as explained in the Constitution.

The military requires this extensive training, controls and limits on guns and rifles with soldiers preparing to go to war. Why is none of this required of civilians who can own military style assault rifles? NRA insanity does as NRA insanity is.
