Match Day for medical students is just around the corner on March 16th. If you are a graduating medical student applying for a resident slot at UVA in Charlottesville and you’re going to be a resident for more than 3 years, buying a home might be a good choice. If you’re only going to be in a 2 or 3 year program and then plan to leave Charlottesville, I would not counsel buying at this time, but for you future neurosurgeons, facing a seven year residency, it could be a great option!

Looking to get out and listen to some tunes this month in the Charlottesville area?

Siips has shows every week, including the Mark Brandt Trio and The Porch Cats for jazz lovers.
Lots going on at the Jefferson, including a number of tribute bands and a free show with Love Canon.
Maya has weekly shows, as does The Southern, or maybe you want to take a ride out to Free Union to Glass House Winery and relax and hear tunes in their gorgeous atrium?

Whatever the cause, your most basic question is going to be “How do I find a house to buy in Charlottesville”?

Here are a few tips to get you started:

My Charlottesville Advanced Home Search is a great place to look for home, familiarize yourself with the market and learn how much home your ‘real estate dollar” buys in our area.
