It was one of those things that seemed harmless, at first.

I introduced my daughter to Pinterest. Yes. My daughter, the one with big ideas already. To Pinterest. No obviously, I didn't (and don't) just let her loose. But one night while we were watching tv, I hopped on to Pinterest and she asked what I was doing. She snuggled up and we looked together. Being the creative type yes, the Birthday Girl is the princess who designs her own dresses. ;) She didn't want just any run of the mill party!!

My daughter designed this costume dress. She sat down and meticulously drew this out. See the multi-coloured skirt? Its multi-coloured because it is covered in iridescent sequins. Seriously, what five year old even knows about iridescent sequins? She watched me hand sew each sequin to the tail of the mermaid stitchery and she decided that technique would just be fabulous on a dress skirt. She drew a lily and then a gorgeous, intricate design on a shirt, with the bleach pen. I loved this idea and was instantly inspired by it. You take them home and a day or two later get them only to find that creepy, white mold growing!! Gak!!

I love to cook, but a food blogger I'm not. Then I realized that I don't consider myself an amazing sew-er and yet I blog about sewing. So with that, I post my first recipe!

Here's a little something I pieced together from several favourite recipes, to make an apple pie, pastry, tart thingie.
