Why do some people have wealth and some people struggle just to make ends meet?

So, I figured that being poor meant that I was just that much closer to God and it was meant for me to be poor.

I realized that what I was doing was affirming a lie.

Throughout the Bible, we see that God has a lot to say about finances. God wanted to be involved with Abraham’s finances, and He wants to be involved in mine and yours.

If you want God to be involved in your finance you have to understand and follow basic principals.

Here are just a few:

• “Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase: so they barns be filled with plenty, and they presses shall burst forth with new wine. “Proverbs 3:9-10

• He who gives to the poor will not want but he who hides his eyes [from their want] will have many a curse. “Proverbs 28:27 AMP

So, you have to realize that in order to have true riches the motive of your heart must be pure, to bless others and establish Gods covenant.

I realize that riches come from my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And I pray that my heart is in the right place when asking the Lord for a financial harvest.

From Gigi

Just remember:

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19

Will Smith Talks About How You Can Have What You Want In Life

This video is AWESOME!!! An author described humanity by saying, "Most people die at twenty and are buried at eighty." Are you one of the living zombies?

What do you really want in life?
Some people struggle in answering such a question. When asked what they want or what their goals in life are, many are unsure. They dillydally in their decision, hardly giving any thought about what they want in life. People without definite goals are letting time pass them by. Are you one of these people?

If you are undecided about what you want out of life, do not worry. There are many ways of discovering your purpose in life.

To discover what you want in life, try looking deep into your heart. Oftentimes, people are ruled by logic. People live by what they think they should be or by what others like them to be. The discovery process is the perfect time to listen to your heart. What your heart desires comes from the whispers of your authentic self. Your authentic self is the real you.

Listen to your heart to be able to listen to your authentic self. What your heart says usually feels right. What your heart desires is what you usually love to do and this represents your passion. Anything done with passion is like play where the task is accomplished without hesitation. You pour out your very best and feel no pressure or resistance.

You will totally enjoy doing things that are your passion. Setbacks, difficulties, and obstacles will make it more challenging, but should not deter you from pursuing your goals. Naturally, there may be barriers that may prevent you from reaching your goal, but your heart's desire will find ways to overcome these barriers so that you may ultimately get what you want in life. Remember this: the universe supports people who are pursuing their passion and those who are pursuing their destiny.

However, this does not mean that you don't use your head. People are born with both the mind and heart. Your duty is to live your best life and be in harmony with your mind and heart. The poet Rumi Wisely said, "Live completely in the head and you cannot feel the breath and rhythm of life. Live completely in the heart and you may find yourself acting like a love-struck fool with poor judgment and discipline. It's all a fine balance - the head and heart must forge a lifetime partnership if one wants to live a beautiful life."

Listen to your instinct. Part of human nature is the mysterious and spontaneous reaction on things. Often times, these are called instincts. Your authentic self communicates with you and guides you via instincts. Instincts are those gentle nudges that urge you to act and follow a certain path. Your role then is to listen attentively.

Often times, we listen to what others say and allow them to run our lives. Parents often do this to their children. "We come from a family of doctors, so my son must also be a doctor." How often do we hear this from parents who have good intentions for their children? Parents unconsciously block the true expression of their child's real self and calling. Friends and critics will discourage you and point out the impossibility of your dream. Before heeding their advice, evaluate the accomplishments of the critics. Did they achieve their dreams? Do they dream big at all?

Remember, it is your destiny that is in line, not theirs. It doesn't mean, though, that you will not listen to what other people say. Hear them out just the same. But the final decision should be yours.

There is only one thing to remember: Every person, to live truly and greatly, must define how he wants to live and what his brightest life will look like. Listen to your instincts and follow your heart's desire. You will never go wrong.

4uvyp62rfx,Who links to my website?

IS YOUR MUSIC STILL IN YOU

A Porsche With A Lawn Mower Engine:

When you don’t combine your passion with your work, it’s like putting a lawn mower engine in a Porsche. Yes, it will move along, but you’ll be in danger once you get in traffic and you’ll certainly never experience the speed, the elegant maneuverability, and all the other things Porsches are specifically design to do.

Genesis 1:26 tells us that God created man in His image. When we’re not true to ourselves, we lose the power of authenticity, imagination, and innovation with which He made us. Our lives become performance-based, setting the stage for compromise in all areas. Currently, I’m working with a high-level financial executive who, after 26years with the same company, is being “invited” to leave.

Now he’s trying to catch up with new opportunities because for more than a quarter-century, as he says, “I’ve had my head down and pencil up.” I also recently spoke with a young man who has a history of starting businesses that, in his words, “have nothing to do with my passion.” And he wonders why it’s such struggle to make those enterprises work.

Then there was a dentist who, after years of growing frustration, told me, “I just keep getting better at what I intend to get out of.” If you relate to such feelings, take a moment and do some self-inventory – as yourself a few questions about how you think:

• What things might be blocking you from finding your passion and/or integrating it into your life and work?
• Is responsible work suppose to be stifling? Do you see it as only a means to a paycheck?
• Does fulfilling God’s will always mean sacrificing your true passions?
• If you following your calling will your income drop dramatically?
• Would unleashing your “music” really cause you to suddenly become irresponsible, impractical, and unrealistic?

Now consider this: What if we have a choice? Perhaps the realities of life don’t need to pull us away from our strongest passions but, rather, can push us toward them. And what if the release of that unique “music” in you were to engage your deepest passions, utilize your strongest areas of competence, and display God’s purpose for your life?

Augustine once said, “To work is to pray.” Does this describe how you feel about your job—that it’s a prayer offering to God? The idea may seem odd if you think of prayer only as something we do on our knees. But if we recognize it as a time of being present with the Lord, then our work can engage our hearts and spirits in a way that places us in His presences.

Closed And Open Doors:

The drastic economic changes resulting in the sudden loss of jobs are causing many people to think they’ve failed. But what if such an unexpected closing door is really a necessary step toward finding your music? Without experiencing inevitable “failures”—things that go differently than planned—we rarely reach our full potential.

A world-class golfer doesn’t become great without hitting a lot of balls into the lake. Most people don’t find that “perfect job” before going through a few initial disappointments. And on a larger scale, we know through Scripture that faith rarely matures and deepens unless the believer encounters radical uncertainties and grapples with doubts and trails.

I think we need to change our definition of “failure.” In reality, it seldom means the end of hope. Rather, I believe it’s a needed and often healthy part of the process toward becoming the person we were created to be.

Several years ago, I had the privilege of talking with Dave Anderson, founder of Famous Dave’s restaurants. Having grown in poverty in Chicago and on an Ojibwe reservation, he had determined as a kid that he would find a way t become wealthy and never again has to deal with the difficulty of his childhood. Yet he found that as long as he pursued money as his objective, it remained elusive and just out of reach.

With the eventual failure of his initial goal, however, he decided to quit focusing on making money. Instead, he turned everything over to God and began to concentrate on doing exceptionally what he most enjoyed—which was, as you might guess, perfecting the art of barbeque.

The financial gains of his business came secondarily and never eclipsed his goals of maintaining excellence and inspiring people. Today, he’s accomplished much more than founding a successful franchise and creating over 20,000 jobs. Not only has he brought change to struggling communities and served in advisory positions to two U.S. presidents and three governors; he is also a visionary philanthropist who has influenced thousands of young people through the LifeSkills Center, his students leadership non-profit.

We usually dismiss our “day dreams”—even the ones that come from our inner most selves—as just random thoughts passing through our brains. Should we pay attention to those “dreams,” or just hunker down and be “realistic” and “practical,” considering the shape the economy is in? With jobs vanishing, homes being foreclosed, billions of dollars going up in smoke, and industries teetering on the brink of disaster, surely now isn’t the time to dream. Or is it?

Recently I read about fascinating inventions coming out of the slums in Nairobi, Kenya. The heading on the story said, “When you have nothing anything is possible.” Haven’t you experienced in your life how those times of trial often release your most creative ideas? Aren’t some of our best ideas born of problems? The truth is that our “day dreams” are not always frivolous; they’re often the seeds of inventive solutions that can change live—and not just our own.

Reawakening Your DNA:

This is a time for hope, not despair. Circumstances beyond one’s control might lead to losing a job and maybe even a home, but losing hope is a choice. I’m not talking about denying reality; I’m encouraging you to open your eyes to the possibilities for creating a better reality than you currently see.

If you lose hope, you won’t be looking for new solutions—and will miss them even if they pass right in front of your nose. So, focus on what you’re moving to, not what you’re moving from. Why not take the opportunity to acknowledge those talents and gifts God has given you and ask Him what He would have you do with them? Change—even when unwelcome or unexpected—often wakes up the music that has been sleeping inside us.

I’ve seen doctors move to the country to take up organic gardening, pastors find fulfilling careers as artists, and housewives emerge from the years of raising children to release their gifts in writing and counseling. What makes you enthusiastic?

The word enthusiasm actually comes from the Greek en theos, which literally means “God in us.” It’s something that comes from deep within and connects us to that which is meaningful, purposeful, and eternal.

As Frederick Buechner said, “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s hunger meet.” Ask yourself, What is the world hungering for right now? How can I use my unique gifts and enthusiasm to satisfy that hunger? Don’t stop seeking until you find the answer. There may be a door you can’t see now that God is waiting to open for so go ahead: Knock.

Don’t forget to take the “Taking Inventory” excise below:

• What do I really love to do (and when I’m doing it, time just flies by)?
• What is my greatest contribution to others?
• What did I enjoy as a child but was told it was unrealistic or impractical to focus on as a career?
• If money were not important, what kind of work would I spend time doing?
• What are the recurring themes in life that I find myself drawn to?
• How do I want to be remembered?

This article was written by: Dan Miller and he was kind enough to let me share it with you. I hope you enjoyed reading it. I look forward to reading your comments.

I recommend you get his book, “No More Mondays”.

Are you ready to take action and turn your dream/passion or hobby into reality? I recommend Sitesell. I use it myself. It's a great tool. The amazing part of this story is that this kid had a BIG DREAM to become a rap singer and writer. His focus and energy was not on his problem but on perfecting his craft so that he could share his dream with the world.

He didn’t know how he was going to bring life to his dream or how he was going to get his music out to the world, he just knew he had something great, something worth sharing so he wrote to the television show “Home Delivery” and they helped him achieve is dream.

He got a chance to record his rap song at a professional recording studio and he also got a chance to sing live on a radio show in his home town, allowing hundreds of people the opportunity to hear his music.

His message was that” no matter your back ground or what hand life has dealt you, you can always achieve your dreams. Don’t every give up.”

I have a question for you, are you letting your circumstances stop you from pursuing your dreams? Don’t feel bad, we’ve all been there. Sometimes we just need a little encouragement.
I think I can help you. Most of us have the idea that failure is a something bad. Our schools tend to reinforce the idea. We study the final results of people’s lives and don’t look at their early mistakes. We look at people like Oprah and Tiger Woods and we focus on how great they are now.

We don’t look at the poems that did not work for Mia Angelo, only the masterpieces that survived. Their first efforts ended in the wastebaskets.

We get the impression that these people were somehow born with a mature talent, fully developed skills, never made mistakes, and that everything they did was perfect. I bet their waste baskets were overflowing as yours and mine are.

Every great artist, scientist and businessman made thousands of mistakes before they made the masterpieces that we study and admire today.

Thomas Edison is a great example. He tried thousands of different ways to make the light bulb work. And once when an interviewer asked him how he could continue to go on after thousands of failures, Edison replied, “I haven’t failed thousands of times. I succeeded in finding thousands of ways that the process won’t work.” That’s how we have to learn to regard failure, as attempts, that just didn’t work the first or second time.

Failure is nothing more than a successful way of finding out how a process won’t work. If you try, made a mistake, and then analyze why you made the mistake, you will have learned a great deal.

Remember, there is no shame in failing. Failing is just a necessary part of growth and development. If you have never made a mistake before, it just means you have never tried anything new. That is the biggest failure of all. So if you have a dream or a passion you like to pursue and you’re not afraid of failing go sign up at Dream-Pursuit and start moving forward with your dreams.

Don't forget to tell a friend.

Ps. I believe that the moment you begin walking toward fulfilling your purpose in life, you transition from existing efficiently to living abundantly! You transition from a life by default to a life by divine design.

Most people are just out there existing-living from one day to the next, working from one day to the next, driving from one place to the next, with no real meaning behind why they do what they do. They are doing a good job at staying alive and paying the bills, but they are not living life with a true sense of significance. The goal is to challenge you to discover and walk in the most powerful principle of life purpose.

The goal is to show you how you can connect your purpose to a profession that you can master, market, and get paid for. Click here to learn more about how you can tap into your life’s purpose.

6 Steps On How To Run A Successful Internet Business During A Recession

I have good news for you if you've been thinking about starting a business but don't think you can because of the recession.

Well hold on to your hat. DO THIS

I am so sick and tired of Home Business scams. There are zillions of folks desperately looking for a way to make money online. I am here to tell you that you can start a legitimate business on the Web.

With the economy the way it is, skilled people are having trouble finding jobs. Starting an online business is ideal for you if you have a passion, hobby, or retired; even if you’re just a newbie it can be done.

Don’t let the few home business scammers keep you from going after your dreams/passion.

There’s a wonderful resource out there called SBI (Site Build It). They’re nothing like dream weaver, where you have to know HTML.

With SBI, not only do they take you by the hand, step-by-step, but they also have a community of likeminded people that you can connect with and ask questions, and they will submit your website to the Search Engines for you for FREE (That will get traffic to your site. No traffic no money). No other web design product does that.

You don’t have to STRUGGLE; you don’t have to live in FEAR. If you’re having trouble finding a JOB, do something different.

I recommend that you check out SBI right now. It’s an AWESOME product. (At the risk of sounding like an infomercial). It has changed so many people’s lives financially; I believe that it can change your life also.

CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO:

THE POWER OF PERSISTENCE

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAsX98fWhGhYxjXb4Bo_HrI4vlL6ndthC7NDsAjw_2iwSlRVMII8z2rVDG4i8pt1JLKlgOXxrc0TpHexDN3UxqLCQGrGnkEJtTV3oN3ANYX0q1RctafH6OO-3Ybnzaxmrfdl_nVlhSQVg/s320/Waterfall.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5310328553750763858" />Napoleon Hill, one of the first great self-help gurus, thought that persistence was so important that he devoted a chapter to it in his landmark book "Think and Grow Rich." Chapter IX refers to persistence as "The sustained effort necessary to induce faith." He called persistence the eighth step towards riches. However, another sentence on page one of this chapter really defines how important persistence is.

That sentence is: "There may be no heroic connotation to the word "persistence," but the quality is to the character of man what carbon is to steel." Persistence strengthens the character of a person so much that he can do whatever it takes to reach his goal or complete the task he has undertaken.

Throughout history, there have been many examples of this. Dr. Jonas Salk, who found the vaccine for polio, persisted with his research even though he failed 200 times before he found a vaccine that worked. Thomas Edison kept working at creating a light bulb even though he failed more than 10,000 times. His persistence paid off and we use his invention every night to light our homes after the sun goes down.

If you read autobiographies, you will learn that most famous and wealthy individuals failed numerous times before they were successful. Each time, their persistence allowed them to gain what they were striving for. The power of persistence is that all individuals who persist long enough will eventually reach their goal. No other characteristic has that power.

A persistent trickle of water running slowly over the same place on a rock for a long period of time will wear away the rock. Even though water is not as hard as stone, through persistence, water will always win. That is the power of persistence. Persistence at something will always win.

So, how can you make persistence a habit that you always use? These four little steps will create this valuable habit:

1. Have a specific goal and support it with a burning desire for fulfillment.
2. Have a definite plan you follow and take continual action on that plan.
3. Do not listen to any negative or discouraging suggestions. Also, do not let any negative occurrences dissuade you from continuing your action.

4. Find a mentor who will encourage you in your endeavors and who will push you when you slow down.

It doesn't matter what it is you are trying to do, if you follow these four steps you will be successful in everything you do. These steps are what you can use to improve your wealth and obtain power, fame, recognition and freedom of thought. These steps will change your dreams into reality.

THE DEATH OF A DREAM

What happens when you let your Dreams Die?

I remember a poem that I read when I was a child called

“A Dream Deferred” by Langston Hughes:

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
Like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore—
And then run?

Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over—
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
Like a heavy load.

Or does it explode?

When I read the poem as a child, I had many dreams. I know that I would never let my dreams defer.

As I gotten older the light on my dreams became dimmer until there was no life left. My dreams where replace with the reality of having to work a 9 to 5.

I became a zombie, like a large percent of people working jobs they don’t like. I’d wake up, go to work, put up with crap from who every happened to be the boss at that time, put in my eight plus hours, just to do it all over again the next day.

I became the kind of person I despised. Like a lot of people, I was living a life of quite desperation.

I would say to myself so many times, "there has to be more to life then this". But how do you take control of your own destiny? How do you get back your freedom when you’ve been on the “Rat Race" trade mill for so long?

I sat down and did some soul searching. First I realized that I had to stop making excuses and stop telling myself lies, (As long as I have a job and able to pay my bills I’m happy)

I also realized that pursuing your dreams is going to take hard work, FAITH, dedication, commitment, focus, drive and the ability to keep going when things just don’t seem to be working.

So, I’ve decide to resurrect my dreams. I encourage you to do the same.

This is what I promise you.

• I promise, it will be hard, but the rewards in the end will be worth it.
• I promise, there will be times when you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, but you can’t QUIT, because you’re closer than you think.
• I promise, you might have to be your own cheer leader, but that’s ok. When you start to see the fruits of your labor others will come around.

No more dreams deferred. I am here to encourage you to make your DREAMS a reality. So let’s do it together

Your friend

Gigi.

Why Start An Online Business After Forty

I’ve met so many people who are in my age bracket (40 plus) founding themselves joining the ranks of the unemployed after being on the job for 15, 20, 30 years. Yes, you heard me. And a lot of us baby boomers are finding it very difficult to inter back into the job market.

I've met one woman who was 60, She worked for a company for 30 years (in the medical field). The sad thing is that she’s well educated, with a load of experience and no one would hire her because she’s overly qualified and she’s (according to society) to old.

It’s so hard for us baby boomers to pick up where we left off in the work force because society doesn’t value the experience and wisdom of the mature worker.

Well, listen-up all you baby boomer’s who have been rejected my the work force. I have a great solution to the problem. Rather than face the frustration and disappointments of job-hunting and having someone half your age tell you, you don’t qualify for the job (for one reason or another). Why not create your own business. One popular choice is an Online business.

One of the reasons I started my online business is because, (what I mentioned earlier) at the age of 49 I knew I still had a lot to offer and I decided that I’ve paid the price to do things on my terms. The best option for me was to start my own online business. and I’ll tell you, it’s been very liberating.

I’ve read somewhere that nearly 72 percent of boomers age 51 to 59 go online. Online businesses fit in nicely with the boomers life style because it allows a more flexible schedule, your cost is minimal and you can start on a part time bases out of the comfort of your home. Your options are numerous.

Now is the perfect time to put your skills and experience together so that you can start planning to create your internet business and take control of your own destiny. It becomes more about who you are, not how old you are.

You should not have to work on jobs where you’re under appreciated and not valued .

Where can you get the tools and resource to learn more you asked? Very good question. Just click on the link and you’ll be introduced to a system that is user friendly and affordable. Go there now, look it over and tell me what you think. I’d love to hear from you.

Also take a look at the recommended resource.

Ps. I’ll see you next time with more ideas and tips.
Until next time. Blessings to you and yours and may all your dreams come true

Your friend, Gigi

A Light Bulb Moment

I was lying in bed the other day, thinking about my new venture as an entrepreneur and it dawned on me that I was not going to become a successful entrepreneur if I kept chasing after the quick buck. You see after I got laid off my job and decided to start my own business, I started to focus on the “Get Rich Quick Scams”.

I would stay up late nights watching those infomercials. You know the ones am talking about, the infomercials that tell you, “just send in $59.95 and once you received your home business kit, you’ll start making thousands of dollars instantly”.

Before you know it, you’re so excited, you get up in the middle of the night, you stubble over the cat trying to get to your purse or wallet and in your mind you’re thinking about all the things you’re going to do with the money you haven‘t made yet. Does that sound familiar?

Once you receive your “Home Business Kit”. You‘re so excited. You say a little prayer before you open the box, “God, let this be the one”.

After a few weeks, guess what? You’re mad and frustrated because you have not made a penny from your investment. So, it goes up on the shelf to collect dust, along with the other “Get Rich Quick Scams” you purchased in the past.

Now, getting back to my light bulb moment. I realized that my being desperate to make money fast, made me a victim to the “Get Rich Quick Scams”. I also realized that you can not attract financial freedom from a place of desperation.

Here are a few tips I like to share with you that have helped me stay on track to pursuing my dreams.

1- Focus on what you are passionate about. When you’re coming from a place of desire and passion, you’ll be more focused on providing value to people instead of how much money you can get. People will notice that you care about them instead of their wallets and before you know it money will start flowing into your bank account. There’s an old saying, “Give people what they want and they will give you what you need”. (Money)

2-Once you’ve found your interest, start talking to people that are successful in that field. You’ll be surprised at how experts love to help others.

3- Realize that it is going to require some work, dedication and education. Besides, when you’re doing what you love, it won’t feel like work.

4- Read a lot of positive books. Such as ,“Think and Grow Rich“ by Napoleon Hill, “How To Win Friends and Influence People, by Dale Carnegie and “Failing Forward” by John C Maxwell (my favorite). Just to name a few.

5- Celebrate your small victories.

6- Never, every quick, no matter what.

I like to leave you with one of my favorite quotes: “If it’s to be, It’s up to me” by Les Brown

Ps. I’ll see you next time with more ideas and tips.
Until next time. Blessings to you and yours and may all your dreams come true

Your friend, Gigi

One Of The Keys To Your Treasure Is Goal Setting

I was talking to my best friend, Mel the other day, about my blog and even though he’s a big fan of mine: LOL, he mentioned that it was missing something. I asked him, “what was it missing”?. He said, “Gigi, I like to know more about your goals”.

He informed me that goals are not promises, but commitments and that I needed to set some goals in order to obtain my dreams. That made since to me. So I went to work on putting them together.

If you remember from my previous blogs, I shared my dreams with you. But a dream is only a dream if there is no plan to take ACTION. (I know, dreaming is more fun, there’s know hard work involved).

This is what I came up with. To be to my own boss, run my business from home and to be able to make a profit of 50K at the end of 2008.

After looking over my goals, they seemed to big to reach. That was a little overwhelming. So I decided to brake them down into smaller, bite size goals.

For example, I am going to work on putting together a marketing strategy. I plan to have this completed in two weeks.

Another small goal I plan to accomplish, is to have my website built and completed in two weeks. (By the way, I found this great website building service at www.sitesell.com/site4u.html. I especially recommend it for people who are interested in building their own website. The great thing about it is, you don’t have to know anything about HTML. They practically take you by the hand from beginning to end. It’s awesome).

Now, here are some basic rules to goal setting:

1-You should write down your goals.
2- Your goals should be specific.
3- Your goals should have a time frame as to when each one will be completed.
4-You should review and up date your goals on a regular basis.
5- You should keep your goals near you at all time. Because they will serve as a reminder why your dreams are worth pursuing.
6. Don’t forget to celebrate your small achievements.

Here’s one of my favorite quotes:

“There is a time when we must firmly
choose the course we will follow,
or the endless drift of events will make
the decision for us“. By Herbert Prochnow.

I hope this helps you as much as it’s helped me.

Well forks, that’s it for now.

Ps. Blessings to you and yours and may all your dreams come true.

Your friend, Gigi

In Walks Fear, Now What?

Hi, let me bring you up to date on what’s been going on since my last posting. My first week of unemployment, I was excited about my new found freedom. The idea of being my own boss was exciting. No more JOB for me.

First day, I turned on my computer, checked my e-mail. Then I looked around my one bedroom apartment (that I share with my dog peaches and my fat cat china. They’re cut but they don’t pay any rent). I asked myself, “what do I do now“? I realized that my closets had not been cleaned out since I moved in my apartment eight years ago. I figure why not take advantage of this free time to do that. Before I knew it, I had pulled out all the junk in all the closets (oh my god, that was a lot of junk), I also took care of some daily tasks and made a few phone calls (I was a busy bee).

Even though it felt good to rid myself of some of the clutter, at the end of the day I realized that I have not done anything that wound move me toward making my dream a reality. If I kept at this pace, I would definitely be back at a JOB. Fear started to set in.

Remember in my last post I shared with you my problems with FEAR and PROCRASTINATION. You see, I realized that fear rears it’s ugly head when you're faced with something challenging, keeping you from taking all of the necessary steps toward pursuing your dreams. What happens is that you’re so focused on failing that you start making excuses.

I found a solution. What I am about to share with you is so simple but yet powerful. If you apply this idea, you will be successful at what ever you decide to do. Are you ready for this? Hold on to your hat. All you have to do is, Feel The Fear And do It Any Way. Yes it’s that simple. By the way, I recommend you read the book “Feel The Fear And Do It Any Way” by Susan Jeffers. It’s a great book.

You see, a lot of people don’t go forward with their dreams, because of the fear of failure. Well, I am here to tell you that failing is a good thing. Because it allows you to learn from your mistakes and it allows you to grow. You know what they say, “what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger”. Remember anything worth wild is not going to be easy, but if you stick with it you will be rewarded.

You have to fight tooth and nail for the kind of life you know you deserve. We all have greatness in us. Sometimes we just have to dig deep down within to find it.

In saying all that, I realized I had to sit down and Map out a plan (which is very important). Here is a little exercise I used to get me on the right track of the pursuit of my dreams. You can use this exercise yourself.

First, make a pledge with yourself. Just fill in the blanks:

My Getting The Life I Deserve Pledge:
This is my year to be the person I’ve always wanted to be. This year I will put
(put your name here) first. Starting (put the date here), I will focus on taking the steps to achieve my goals. Ever since ______________ I’ve known that I want to ____________. Today I will create a plan to realize my dreams.
This is my year to achieve at least four goals:

1. _________________________________________
2. _________________________________________
3. _________________________________________
4. _________________________________________

Negative factors, real and imagined, will no longer be obstacles to my success. To get over (obstacle #1), I will stop ____________. To get over (obstacle #2), I will pray that _______________. To get over (obstacle #3), I will plan to _____________. I know I will be successful because it is my dream to _________________.
To stay on track, I will have my friend (the name) check in on my progress every week/month/quarter (choose one) and hold me accountable. This is my personal 2008 pledge to myself so that I can realize my dreams and live the wonderful life I
truly deserve.

You sign it.

This truly works. Try it and see.

I’ll see you next time with other tools and Ideas that’s working for me and that can work for you also.

Ps. Blessings to you and yours and may all your dreams come true.

Doing It My Way

Hi, my name is Ginesta, but you can call me Gigi, that’s what my friends call me. I’m 48 years young, I’ll be 49 on December 31 2007. And I just got laid off my job : ( a week before Christmas), after being there for 7 years (Merry Christmas to me).

When I was faced with the news that I was going to be laid off, I was excited, it took everything in my power to keep from jumping for joy. You see, I truly hated my job and the people I worked with . But I was to scared to make a move. Doesn’t that sound familiar?

Like a lot of people, I kept telling myself, “ as long as I was making a living, had a roof over my head, had food on the table and was able to shop at Target, I was doing great. I was just feeding myself a bunch of lies and excuses, so that I wouldn’t feel bad for not having the courage to pursue my dreams to it’s fullest.

I read somewhere that about 3% to 5% of people that pursue their dreams become successfully while the other 95%-97% are living a life of quite desperation (I was part of the 97% group. That‘s scary).

I realize that my getting laid off my job was an opportunity in disguise, and it’s up to me to take advantage of this opportunity.

There are things that I struggle with, FEAR and PROCRASTINATION (just to name a few), but I am not going to let them stop me. I’ll work on them along the way. A wise person told me, “you don’t have to get it right, you just have to get it started and improve as you go along“.

There’s a great quote that goes: “a bad plan executed is better then a good plan waiting for that perfect moment” because there is no such thing as a perfect moment.

My goal is to never go back to a JOB every again, and to pursue my dreams with all my heart and soul.

I created this Blog so that you can join me in my journey to a new beginning. You’ll be able to witness the good, the bad and the ugly. I hope to inspire and encourage you to fight for your dreams.

I’ll also be sharing different things with you like articles on how you can turn your passion into profit, marketing tools and tips that you can use to grow your business, and I’ll also be here to offer words of encouragement when things get a little tuff, and believe me they will get tuff.

I think it’s important to have like minded people in your corner, people that will support you when you’re faced with obstacles and you feel like giving up, because as we both know the journey is not going to easy but it will be rewarding.

So, go right ahead and jump in there with both feet (it’s ok to be in control of your own destiny) get down and dirty to make your dream a reality. Don’t worry, we’ll be there for each other.

Ps. Blessing to you and yours
I look forward to meeting you soon.

Pps. No more JOB’s : )
