I just tried Howling Monkey Energy Cola today, it's actually pretty good. My brother felt like it tasted a lot like regular cola, but I think it has a different taste to it. It's definitely more similar to Pepsi than Coke, but has a sweeter aftertaste than even Pepsi does. It was a good mid-day buzz to keep me from falling asleep while watching an incredibly boring college hockey game. Check out their website!

So.....Paris Hilton is going to jail. Why is this such a news story besides the fact that it's awakening people to the fact that there really are people in this world who feel like they are above the law. How is one person so irresponsible that they can't even decide for themselves if they have a drivers' license or not. I am glad Judge Sauer took a stand on this, because a lot of judges would have faltered under the pressure that a powerful family like the Hiltons can bring. Honestly, her parents' reactions are absolutely ridiculous as well. What a joke. I'll just hope that her time in jail is actually served. I hope everyone else feels the same way. Well, not everybody does...

Although this story has been the talk of the news, it is still probably the funniest story I have read all year so far. Just the thought alone makes me want to pull out my Sticky Fingers album and relive the days when snorting your father's ashes was ok. Poor Keith, he's just not with the new times I guess.....

This site gives you all the dirt on what is going on in Hollywood, and pretty much has inside info about every celebrity you can possibly think of, whether it's a musician like Jay-Z or a 21st century diva like Paris Hilton, or even the occasional Sean Penn or Robert Downey Jr. An insightful site for those easily amused like myself. I like unofficial websites in pop culture arenas. More often than not, they are created by die-hard fans who are willing to do things a little differently (usually more creatively) and mix things up a little bit. Planet Family Guy is one of these kinds of sites. It offers news, RSS feeds into a Planet Family Guy blog, and cool pictures and wallpapers, among other things. It is an awesome site for any huge Family Guy fan. Bookmark it and check it out!

Cam'ron decided to apologize for his ridiculous comments last week on 60 Minutes, where he claimed he would never "snitch" on anyone, even if they lived next door to him. Thanks Cam'ron, we're really glad that you will now be on the constant look-out for those who have committed crimes. This is the same guy who set up a deal to catch sexual predators on camera. Isn't that "snitching"?

I think the title of this post says it all. Was there a more sad day then the end of my generation's first meaningful teen soap-opera? Personally, I thought the fourth season brought in some fresh ideas and could have carried some momentum into a fifth season....but that is why I simply blog and do not make important decisions. Just rented and watched The Good Shepherd yesterday, and wanted to share a few thoughts . First, I really like DeNiro as a director, besides an actor. This movie is clever, and is to the point. Damon does a great job as the "choir boy" CIA agent, who is simply fulfilling the oath he swore to when he first decided to take the job. I was honestly very surprised by this movie, especially considering it is a fairly confusing movie, but it could have been much worse in that area. I suggest you rent this for yourself and check it out.

This movie was actually done really well. I enjoyed the soundtrack, which made the movie even creepier than it already was (Hurdy Gurdy Man by Donovan especially). Jake Gyllenhaal did a pretty good job as the obsessed cartoonist who attempts to solve perhaps the country's most twisted serial killer case. Although the movie dragged on a little in the middle, there was more than enough here to warrant my attention. If I was to put a rank on it, I would say a solid 4 out of 5 "stars" or whatever you would like to call them.
